Thanks to Safari for their speedy response to address my lawn problem. One side of my lawn was dying at an alarming rate. They sent Nick, the service and lawn technician. Nick was courteous, professional, and very knowledgeable. He showed me where the spider worms were eating and killing my grass. The most eye opening was that he actually found the worn to show me. He immediately applied the product to get rid of the worms. This was a unique and educational experience . Thank you Nick and the Safari organization. Barry B.
The best in the business. When the tech comes out. He always does a really good job on my yard. Front and back. Safari Termite and pest control deserve 5 stars
So the pictures of my yard I have heard different concerns for all the reasons why its in bad shape. Chinch bugs, the fungus, and now root rot. The lawn techs are obviously not qualified and trained properly on how to diagnose an issue with the lawn. For the past 6 months it has been treated for different things and yet it looks very bad. Now that I have called to confront them it seems excuses are the best answer.Moving on I have a few wasp nest along the roof area that need removal since it hasnt been done in over 3 months and the manager came out only to remove the biggest nest and not the little ones. When he show me that his rounded pole could not reach the under part of the roof, I kindly showed him that a flat and sharp object should do the trick!!!After Safari has proven how worthless they are, my last question for the tech was why hasnt anyone stated this on the door flyer about your concerns instead of saying WATER AFTER 24 HOURS. His reply was simple, techs now a days dont know $*#! I really hope they respond to this review with some solid photo evidence about my situation because another written excuse at this point is only showing that you simple dont care. Safari Termite And Pity Control who would you recommend for the best pest control company other than yourselves? This long review basically states to stay the hell out of their way.
I have had 2 other Lawn Pest control companies, each of those companies have either destroyed my lawn or couldnt get rid of dollar weeds after a 6 monthly applications. I have a friend that use to be an exective in the industry before changing industries and he told me Safari is the best in the St Augustine area. I tried them and they are the best! They have the best communication, customer satisfaction and they do exactly what they say! They got rid of my dollar weeds on their first application! Would highly recommend!
Safari Termite & Pest Control is by far the best company we have had for our yard. They take care each month. We have had a lot of trouble with our yard and it is the best it has ever looked. Thanks guys for all your hard work!
They totally Destroyed My Lawn Period!!! Don’t use this Company! They will give you some BS Excuse, they should be inspected by the department of Agriculture!!!!!!!! The last photo was my yard prior to Safari treating my lawn after they were told not toooooo!!!!!!!!! Terrible management!!!!! Had the nerve to ask me to remove my post!!!!
DO NOT USE THEM! I had this company treat my lawn at a previous home. They did a good job, so I hired them again for my new home. WOW, they have taken a turn for the worst. They came out to spray the dollar weed in the back yard. A rep called me and asked how the service was. I told him I still had weeds. They sent out a tech to spray the yard again, but he didnt. They waited till the next months service to spray, and killed my yard were they sprayed. They gave me a bunch of BS excuses. Then they fertilized the yard, now i have a ton of fungus. To top it off, i still have dead spots!!
We have the greenest, weed free lawn. You can tell a Safari Lawn all over this neighborhood. Wherever we see the Safari sign, we see beautiful lawns. I believe we were among the first lawns Safari saved in our neighborhood. Awesome company! We want to give Kudos to Travis Willey who is among the best technicians at SAFARI. Travis delivered our Special quarterly service 6/ 9/21. We told him we heard buzzing sounds in the ceiling. He pcroceeded witbout hesitation, to climb up into the crawl space to investigate. Now this was not exactly the service normally provided. Eventbough Travis checked all accessible areas, the source of the buzzing could not be heard or found. With a friendly smile, Travis very professionally explained what type insect(s) could possibly make such a sound and how insects enter the ceiling. He even listened to my husband who is a disabled Veteran suffering from many medical problems, including Dementia. Travis gave him all respect, listened patiently and thanked him for his service. To us, that in itself was priceless. My husband smiled with pride. Travis then performed our Quarterly Service and the work was EXCELLENT. I know whatever insect was around the perimeter of our home, would never survive and would never survive even above the eves. TRAVIS was very thorough in applying the insecticides. What a pleasure it was to have such a kind person on our property. By the way, our house has been insect free for many many years all because of SAFARI AND knowledgeable Technicians like TRAVIS. HE CARRIES THE SAFARI BRAND WELL. THANK YOU SAFARI. FIVE STARS FOR YOU.
Safari Termite and Pest Control is the WORST company we have ever dealt with! They were spraying the yard and made a mistake and tried to fix it. Months later still looks terrible. Said I would not have to pay my bill until I was satisfied. Still not satisfied and now they want me to pay because I canceled my service. I would never do business with them again and encourage anyone who cares about customer service and a good-looking yard to STAY AWAY.
Not happy at all with this company and cancelled their service after a year! My yard is full of weeds and insects. I have complained several times and they always have an answer, but nothing ever changes! I watched the technician through my window mix over 10 products in the tank and never measured one. He also could not get one of the bottles open so he just skipped it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! its a waste of money ! Each time I complained and pointed out issues and said I was going to cancel my service they just transferred me to someone that tried to talk me into staying. My yard is infested with Chinch bugs and Sod Web Worms as well as weeds.....>They did nothing about it. I withled payment to see what they were going to do, and nothing!
Having trouble getting the weeds under control. Well see what happened to Spring for the money Im paying it better get better. Finally let Safari go back a few months ago service absolutely suck. Lied to me about stuff getting done!
They act like a cable or internet service provider attempting to slide a 27.5% increase through via snail mail notification.
I have been looking for a pest control company for our rental property. A family member recommended them and signed them up for me. They sent a bill for services not rendered. When we called and spoke to Rich, the Manager, and questioned him about the services we were billed for (during the COVID-19 pandemic when everything was completely shut down and they weren’t coming into resident’s homes) he initially said no problem and issued a credit. Now that things are slowly starting to open up, we called to schedule them for service again. The Technician said that they aren’t servicing us anymore as a customer (per Rich, the Manager’s Instructions). We asked why. He said Rich dropped us as a customer. This is absolutely ridiculous! Just because someone called and asked about being charged for services they didn’t receive you are going to drop us as a customer. This is piss-poor management and your customers need to know how you run things! Very unprofessional!!!
I hired Safari to treat my lawn and after several months of service noticed that things were going in the wrong direction. During this time my wife was working from home full time due to Covid 19. On 9-28-20 Safari came to my residence and left a bill on my front door. My Ring system only sent me 1 alert when they came to the front door and left the bill. (You can not walk across my front yard without it going off) Also my wife works from home so how did they treat my entire yard and the ring not go off and my wife not see them( My wifes office has a window and our dog never barked) I called and complained and Tyler came out to look and said his Tech treated my yard he would not credit my account. I told him that I would be glad to pay the bill if he could prove to me that they treated my entire yard. ( I GUESS MY WIFE IS LYING ABOUT THIS ) Now on 12-2-20 I get a letter in the mail threatening to turn my account over to collections and report to all MAJOR CREDIT REPORTING AGENCIES!!!!I am not a vindictive person but I feel like I tried to be reasonable with Tyler at Safari. So now I will make sure everyone I know including the BBB knows about this and every other social media site I can find!!!!
If you have questions about your services and if they are rendered be aware::::I have been a customer with Safari Pest Control for nearly 10 years. I moved to a new location in Jacksonville and continued my services with them in my new home. I received an email on 7/31 stating I had an overdue balance from a service rendered on 5/19. Being a long time customer I had never had an overdue balance before so I contacted safari immediately to find out what was going on and what service this was being i had not seen any tech that month due to COVID. Rich the service manager stated he would get in touch with the tech and get back with me. I battled the question of service because this again was the first time I had known about it, and have been a customer for so long with no issue I had no problem paying the bill but not if I had received a service. Rich contacted me again and said the tech stated he definitely sprayed but not to worry they would credit my account. A week later from this very conversation Rich contacts me to confirm the credit and to tell me that Safari is no longer servicing this area. They would recommend some locations for me. I said ok could you tell me where you are servicing so I can have you service my soon location I will be permanently living ( I am building a home) he then changes his answer and says well we are just not servicing you any longer. So I asked Rich let me get this straight because I battled one situation in question if I did get service or not your company willingly gave over the credit( I did not demand this ), but because I battled it you’re now dropping me as a customer? He said yes because they don’t want future situations with me.Again this was the first time I’ve had an issue in 10 years, and when I battled it they made face for it, but then drop me as a customer.
Did not resolve issue and kept repeating that they do a good job, its totally opposite. I had them for several years, use to be a good service for lawn but has gone downhill.
I specifically asked for a one time service budge for my yard. I was told that I can pay $90 one time then $90 in two months and the just as needed. The person who did the inspection send me the payment options and I noticed that the package he mentioned was an annual plan when I told him in person that I was not interested in any annual plan. Now over the phone he said that the one time treatment is double the cost. A total waste of time, this is the second time that this company do the same to me.
I used their pest and lawn care service for nearly two years, but it doesn’t show. My lawn looks worse than when they began-and it was a brand new lawn. The excuse is that their poor results are because I didn’t pay for them to come out every month. Meanwhile my neighbor’s yard with a different company on the same service interval looks amazing. My wife has seen Safari technicians come and go quickly in 5 minutes or less on multiple occasions. Safari reassured me that they can spray a large yard that quickly. Unfortunately, the onus falls on the customer to point out problems and concerns with the yard. Only once did technicians point out a problem and it was to sell a service to optimize the pH of the soil. Rep came out and minimized my concerns about weeds, lawn health/growth, and overall appearance. I asked for a credit for the last service due to my dissatisfaction but they would not agree to issue one because it’s not their policy to do so. Don’t let my mistake be yours too.
Always satisfied
Just started with service, so far so good
I got a robo call saying they would be out the next day. I spent over an hour trying to call and cancel and could not get through. I emailed them to cancel, I filled website information telling them to cancel, I called the morning of at 7am to cancel.... I got a call at 10:30 from the technician that was at my house wanting to talk about the treatment. The only reason they got 2 stars is because when they come out and treat, they come quickly to redo the treatment when complaints are made.
On Friday 22 September 2017, we had Justin, from Safari perform services at our home (3975 Lake Crest Terrace). What an amazing, professional and knowledgeable young man. His professionalism and knowledge are most noteworthy. He explained everything prior to performing the services. He also pointed out challenges within our lawn that needed special attention. He was a great ambassador for Safari and should be commended for his outstanding work.
We have used Safari for our yearly termite bond for the last 15 years. They are always professional and very thorough. We always receive a call to remind us. They are very patient with our payment since our inspection comes right after Christmas every year. We started using them for our lawn care after I saw my neighbors yard so green and lush without dollar weeds, which she had for the longest time and gave to us. They are very informative and know what they are talking about. I highly recommend them.location #2919
They still treat you like you are a brand new customer.... I am entering my 7th year with Safari and I feel compelled to write about their customer service. After receiving a follow-up visit to make sure a recently reported problem was resolved, I realized how extraordinary this little attention to detail and customer satisfaction was and how grateful I am for their effort. Thank you Team Safari!
Dear Mr. Brandon:I would like to personally thank you for following up with my concern of identifying several dead spots in my turf from a miss-application by one of your technician. After notifying your office of this concern, I was transferred to you by Ms. Heidi; both of you were very apologetic and assured me that you would review this case and take care of the problem if you were found to be at fault. We both recognized that there was an error made and you handled everything in a very professional matter. I appreciate your integrity and would certainly like others to know how you and your company address customer concerns with honesty. Thanks again for re-sodding the damaged areas and keep up the good work.
Safari Termite and Pest Control is the WORST company we have ever dealt with! They were spraying the yard of an investment home we own weekly but it consistently looked terrible every time we saw it. They made robo calls to tell us about visits and I only heard from a real person when I fired them. They continued to hassle us over $143 and turned that paltry sum over to collection rather than write it off. I would never do business with them again and encourage anyone who cares about customer service and a good-looking yard to STAY AWAY.
We would not recommend at all. We used you guys for about a month and no one would pick up the phone and our technicians were not punctual at all.
I have been a customer for approximately 10 years. At first I was changing lawn services every year as no one seemed to be able to do the job right. Then someone recommended Safari to me. Great service at reasonable prices. I like the fact they treat my lawn every month with no lapse in service during the winter. As a result no problems with weeds or bugs. So 5 years ago I tried them for pest in the home. Couldnt have wished for better indoor bug and pest control. They treat every 3 months and I dont have to be home. No bugs since they started. I am a customer for life. Location #2807
Location: [101594]We have used Safari for almost 3 years and are very pleased! We get the lawn and shrub care monthly and cant be happier with the results. Even when we have had an issue or question, they are quick to respond and resolve it. We would definitely recommend them for the great results and good customer service!
These guys have done my place for a while now and I could not be happier. The guys are all super cool. Happy with the price and the results. Great team.
Weve been using Safari for over two years now and have never had any issues. They do our seasonal pest control, seasonal lawn care, and annual termite control. Weve only had to call them out once for tiny bugs inside the house. They identified what they were right away and after one treatment, the bugs were gone for good. Half our neighbors and several of my coworkers use Safari. They come highly recommended.
This company is the best. Rich and Heidi are so knowledgeable and professional. The office staff is awesome. They are courteous. My lawn looks amazing and I get so many compliments!
I have had Safari for almost two years and everything is great, had no issues. They spray the perimeter of the house so no bugs get in. I did have an ant infestation in my house. They came and sprayed and even followed up with me two weeks later. It took two times for them to come out and finally get rid of the ants. No extra charges were applied.
They are very professional and do a great job! Chris is very professional and is always very courteous. I would recommend Safari Termite to anyone. I am a walking billboard for their company because they do such a great job! Thank again!
After using several different companies I called Safari and my lawn has never looked so good. I love the monthly pink yard signs they use during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In addition, the personal service received Heidi and Tiffany is greatly appreciated.Location #101353
Location #103298My husband and I started lawn care and pest control with Safari after our good friend and neighbor Nathan recommended them. Within two months of service our lawn was extremely green and thick, while all our neighbors were not. We do not have our back porch screened in yet and I really like how their technician Chris sweeps down all the nests and webs around the ceiling and fan. I would recommend Safari to anyone that is looking for great service at an affordable price. Thanks Safari!!
The Safari team is really great. They educated me on the little things such as my green actually being too short! Who would have thought? I also notice the dead bugs around when they come by the house. Since they have started service on our new home a couple months ago, I havent see ANY roaches or other little crawler nasty things. Thank goodness!!! I would recommend them to anyone from their super prompt response from my first inquiry (two other companies NEVER EVEN CALLED ME BACK!!!) to making sure I dont have any questions with follow up calls each time the come out.Oh, and theyre pretty good price:)Location Number: 103785
This companies service is horrible at best. After agreeing to service they sprayed the wrong yard. Notified the office and they send no one out to treat all the while a varmint is tearing up my yard looking for bugs. Still they send no one out. It takes multiple calls to get a return call and still not treated. Now they say they dont treat for varmints tearing up the lawn but didnt say that until I started calling to complain. Never use this company.
They have expert employees and do extermination with extra care. Everything was spotless and not a single rat was left. These guys are totally the best in town. Thank you, Safari Termite & Pest Control Guys for the regular service.
Ive lived in North Florida for over 35 years and have learned that Floridas warm wet climate, dry winters, numerous insects and some pretty strange grass varieties make it difficult to have a lawn and landscape for which to be very proud. After using almost every national and local lawn service company, and my futile and expensive attempts at creating a vibrant and healthy lawn by buying the chemicals and applying them myself, I ran into Rich at Safari Termite and Pest Control. Within a few months, my lawn was, frankly, beautiful. The ensuing years of Safari treatment have only strengthened my lawn to resist spring weeds and insects and fungus. I believe my lawn to be the best looking and healthiest of all the 518 homes in my neighborhood. Ive been asked by at least a hundred people walking the sidewalk past my home, how did I get such a perfect lawn. I always reply, Safari. This is the third home Ive owned that Ive used Safari for lawn treatment. Because of that, the appearance of the lawn allowed me to realize a healthy profit on those homes when I moved to the next. Truthfully the monthly fee is an investment in your home. You can get it all back when its time to sell, plus you get to enjoy your lawn while you live there. Almost all of my neighbors and many in the neighborhood now rely on Safari for their lawn treatment. In addition, I rely on Safari for my termite protection. Simply put, Safari Termite and Pest Control is very effective, professional, and responsive. Thanks to all their fine employees, especially Rich. Yup, hes still there after 13 years of using Safaris services. STEVE BURTON (3682)
I have had this service since 2004. My lawn and shrubs always look great. My yard is pest-free. The company is always available to answer questions. The office staff is very courteous and prompt with service calls. Seeing is believing and some of my neighbors are now customers of Safari.. Location: 3060
Location #101468As a long term customer of Safari termite and pest control I can honestly say I am thrilled. They are easy to work with, easy to reach and provide excellent service. Our lawn looks great and we get loads of compliments.
Ive had service with Safari for almost 10 years. They are fantastic on evaluating any issues my yard has and immediately helping resolve those issues. Their customer service is 2nd to none, always very helpful and friendly. I would recommend you give them a try for 6 months and see how much they can improve the look of your overall yard.Location # 1607
Location # 1330.I have been a customer for over 10 years. I started using Safari for the termite bond, but after years of trying to perform my own lawn care and then trying other lawn care businesses, I have given the job to Safari! I am pleased with their service. They are always professional and courteous and quick to resolve any lawn care issues.
Great Company! They handle my business location and my home. I have used a few different pest control services in the past. Since I started using Safari I havent had any problems. They are the best at what the do. Highly recommended!
Been working with Brandon on the sales side of Safari pest control. I have to say this is by far the best experience Ive had! The guys are honest and upfront and are only looking to do whats best for you and your home..
[Location #103807]When the tech comes to service my yard, he looks like he knows what he is doing and takes pride in his work. I have only had Safari for a short amount of time and I can already see a big change in my yard. Thank you Safari for the hard work you are putting into my yard.SincerelySatisfied Customer Florence Cote
Ive been a client for about two years. Ive tried a number of companies prior. Safari has been the one thats worked out best. Both on the office side for inquiries and actually controlling weeds.
Very Rude technicians, they seem so stress out to explain things, thats might because they have not much business anymore, they want earn business like that? What a Joke this Company. I will go somewhere else. Watch out for this Company.
Unfortunately I need to put 1 Star on Google, I didnt have an option to NO STAR.Sales Person name Blair was very Rude, as a customer point, why I would work with a Company that doesnt know how to treat their costumers? Costumers are Costumers, no judgements because of color, race, language speaking. Costumers sustain business, but if they dont appreciate why do business with them?Plus this person that I spoke it looks like he is Racist. Done with this Company. Be careful with what they offer, definetely isnt 100% Satisfaction Guarateed.
Sales person said I would get service the next day. Had to call 3 times to find out when someone was coming. Lee the area manager argued with me about scheduling service. After 3 treatments lawn full of weeds. They did a great job on my ant problem though. I didnt feel like a valued customer.
So far, so good. No ants in the house for 2 weeks and counting!
Would not recommend them to anyone due to the poor customer service experience I’ve had.
This company has caused nothing but headache. The front desk personal is extremely rude and unprofessional. We had them for a month and they came out about 4 times already, always having claimed they called, left voice mails, and even said they had spoken to us and confirmed appointments. Words can not explain how rude Heidi the woman who picks up the phone every time we have to call is. Someone like her does not belong in a customer service job. She has no manners and no idea how to be professional. She pretty much called me a liar and said that the tech is there and WILL service the lawn. For the 4th time I explained to her that they can not because my dogs will be outside. Her responds was that this is what was ordered and that she doesnt care about my pets health. Those were her last words right before she so rudely hung up on me. I will NEVER recommend this company to anybody. Nobody should be treated this way, especially not by a company that tries to keep your business.
We hired Safari Pest Control to service our yard for weeds. After 3 months the weeds were OUT OF CONTROL and we received 2 HOA violations directly related to the weed issues. I attempted to reach out to Safari for resolution but was instead treated very poorly.I had multiple conversations with their staff to discuss the incompetence of their company and was provided with nothing more than excuses as to why the jobs were never completed or why the weeds were not worse than they had ever been. 2 other companies were able to confirm that they likely water down their weed control solution in order to save money. They stole $124 from us and have yet to resolve the issues. Ive filed a dispute with our bank but will likely never receive the money back. They are predatory and incapable of providing services they advertise. Their office staff is unprofessional and and essentially useless as they cannot do anything. I asked to speak with the owner Jeff Shiver and was told he doesnt care about my complaint.

HOA VIOLATION OVER WEEDS. THANKS SAFARI.We hired Safari in March for lawn weed service. We contacted them twice after their scheduled times to mention issues we were still having. On June 14th I contacted them bc the weeds seemed worse. I was told the weeds we had issues with were not guaranteed in their services. On June 15th we received an HOA violation for the weeds. This is absolutely unacceptable. When I hire someone I dont anticipate having issues such as these. The company was argumentative during communications to resolve this. I asked to have our contract closed as we would be using someone else and I have yet to see this happen on my online account.
#100554 Since I started using Safari back in 2010 my lawn have never looked so good. I added the pest control just recently and the service has been great. Safari also has very competitive rates.
Location #1554 I have been using Safari for years. I use to have carpenter ants and had been using another company but the ants kept returning. I called Safari, they found the source of the problem, killed the ants and I have not had a problem since. That was at least 5 years ago. Safaris employees have been extremely courteous. They handle my quarterly maintenance as well as my termite bond. They check all the walls and are very thorough.
I have lived in the Jacksonville/St. Augustine area for 16 years. I have hired, and fired, almost every other pest control company because they have never been able to keep my yard looking great. Safari is the first company that seems to analyze MY yard and MY soil conditions to know what MY yard needs. I bought a foreclosure, so the yard was a DISASTER when I gave Safari a shot. It took a season to turn the yard around, and now I have one of the nicer looking yards in the neighborhood. I also have noticed that almost every house near mine is now using Safari. I dont write a lot of reviews and have been told I am a tough critic, but I felt compelled to write this one to let everyone know that this is definitely the pest control company to go with.
Do not hire this company to treat your lawn. They are bug specialist not grass specialist. After using them for my lawn for 2 years, my grass looked like crap. I owned them a bill of $42.00. I spoke with the manager and told him that he should be refunding me money for the poor job that they did.Instead he turned me over to collection for the $42.00. That is what kind of customer service they practice. Owning my own business, I would never make any enemy over $42.00.
Prior to using the lawn care service, I went at things on my own research. Things went well in the beginning, then I got cinch bugs that just wouldnt budge. A friend recommended me to Safari, so I tried them out (mainly because of their guarantee to replace sod if the problem isnt fixed). The cinch bugs still spread quite a bit over the next couple of months over various parts of the yard, then finally stopped. However, the damage was quite embarrassing. I was told by the technician that it didnt look quite bad and would come back. Well over the next 10 months, nothing grew back. I thought maybe after the winter something would change. However, my grass remained dormant till May. I took several pictures during the time prior and after. I called the office, which oftentimes was a voice message. Most of the time Rich called back right away, but then phone tag began happening a lot. The yard continued to get worse and was being taken over by torpedo grass in the good areas and weeds in all the areas that use to be dormant or damaged. I explained my frustrations to voice mail several times, mostly just followed up with voice mails (which I saved) by Rich with all kinds of promises that he did not fulfill. My final straw was when I asked for them to hold to their word to replace the damage that didnt come back. Rich kept leaving voice mails of when they were coming (which I kept). However, he never followed through with them either. I would call and leave several messages asking when they were coming. Rich would call with a new date and then never follow through again. Finally, after 2 months and now into June (which is too hot for sod in my opinion) Rich called saying they were going to replace the sod. I got excited, thinking, Finally, I can have my yard back to normal. However, they came and marked off very small sections of the areas the day before. I called Rich with confusion and he said they would only replace the sod of the areas that were originally damaged. I was not very happy since the chinch bugs spread the damage further, during their care. So, out of frustration, said I want to deal with his boss and not him any further and then hung up. However, Rich showed up to my house that evening, and I reminded him that I didnt want to deal with him, only his boss. However, he persistently wanted to hash it out in the yard and argued I was not taking care of the yard properly or watering it enough (even though I had been 2-3 times a week for 45 minutes/sections). I even did a drought test and that was not the case on my yard. He then called me a liar to my face. That was it for me. I am thankful I am a Christian, because old me would have lost it. So I asked him to leave my property. The next day they laid sod ON TOP of some of the damaged areas, and what they did cut out, they threw on my neighbors lawns and never cleaned up. Additionally, the sod they laid was completely dry and drought ridden and had no chance of survival (I took pictures). I only knew this sod was dead because I had a professional landscape in the areas of 25 years look at it and he pointed a lot of things out that were done poorly. Additionally, my other neighboring house was just completed in construction and literally the next day they laid BEAUTIFUL and LUSH sod that was actually St. Augustine grass. It was nice and green, whereas mine was golden brown in color. It also looked like a puzzle with a bunch of missing pieces of green good grass, bad brown sod, and empty spots with weeds. It was terrible (I have pictures). So, with that concern I tried calling Safari several times to no avail. Every time I called, they would have Rich call back, even though I specifically asked for the owner of the company to call. I would not take Richs calls. I personally do not conduct business with people that lack the integrity I feel should be given. So, I gave one last call to Safari asking for the owner to call, again explaining my frustrations, no response. So my last message was should I contact a lawyer since no one calls . . .
I have been with Safari Termite & Pest Control for over 10 years. I used them when I lived in Mandarin and now in my current home at the beach. I have been more than satisfied with their service, scheduling and pest protection. I highly recommend this company. They are a class act! #2370
Chris and his team at Safari have provided excellent customer service from day one. They haved help educate me on the best practices for a healthy lawn. Great company for great grass!
Weve used Safari for more than 7 years, at several different addresses. Theyve always been reliable and knowledgeable, so Im happy to recommend their services.
Good experience overall. took care of my sod web worms and have been maintaining my lawn ever since.
At the recommendation of my lawn service, I used this company for 2 years. They recommended I go with a monthly service because my lawn was in pretty bad shape from the prior owners. I agreed to that, they said to give them time to get the lawn in shape.2 years later, the lawn is in worse shape than when they started. There was no communication or recommendation from them on what to do, they just continued to do the same thing, I guess expecting a different result. Now Ive hired someone else and theyve told me the lawn is in terrible shape and infested with weeds and sedge grass. So, roughly $1,600 later, Im back to square one. I could not in anyway recommend this company, the experience Ive had with their service is horrible.
Very prompt and professional
The first time we hired safari and they came to our home, the service man was extremely rude to my wife because I forgot to give him the gate code. After three weeks of our home first being sprayed, we started seeing live roaches again in our garage and upstairs. We called them to have them come back out and was treated like we were lying. A man came back out and sprayed the inside and out again, and we had to pay for it, even though we were guaranteed three months without seeing them. We stopped seeing them. And as I recall when I called their service the first time, I was only paying for the one time service, I never signed a contract for a year. So they came out about two months later, without a call or a notice and sprayed my town home. My problem with this is, the portion that they sprayed was my garage door and front door. I live in a town home connected to other units so it’s not like they did a round the house out door spray. They did not spray the back or even knock to come inside or reschedule to come and spray inside. And then they sent me a bill for $78. Please tell me what the hell im paying 78 dollars for, to just have my front door sprayed. My wife called and got in touch with the supervisor, I think his name was Brandon, and asked to have them come back out and spray the inside of our home to get the worth of our money. And again not to mention, we did not sign a contract for them to come out every 3 months so we shouldn’t even be paying for this service because we didn’t ask for it. Brandon, never called my wife back so I called the regular customer service, and was told my service was canceled therefore they cannot come back out. So they have been sending us a bill every month for $78 for a service they half assed or barely did. I refuse to pay this bill. I got another letter yesterday saying that until they receive our payment, our service has been placed on hold, but from what I remember, it was already canceled so which is it? If this company reads this, they should step up their customer service and communication before they expect my money.
Short Version:DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Especially if you work and no one is home during the day to affirm that anything is actually done to your lawn. They are, however, VERY good at leaving invoices in your door. They talk a good line when getting your business, but they will NOT improve your lawn or shrubs. They had over a year to get rid of brown spots in my lawn. During our initial conversation when out there to get our business they said the spots were due to a fungus. Those same spots are still there a year later and my lawn looks worse than it did before they were hired. When questioned in December of this year (a year later) about why the brown spots were still there they said the spots were caused by OUR over watering the lawn. (Not the same story they told me a year ago when trying to get my business) Never did any of the monthly notes they left mention anything about our over watering. Again, do not hire this company – you will not be pleased.Long Version:I started using this company in Dec. 2015. They came to my home, looked at my lawn and assured us they could get rid of the brown spots (they called a fungus). I signed up for their lawn and shrub service for which they charged me $75/month. I work, and each month when I returned home from work, I would find an invoice stuck in my door, which I paid promptly within a couple of days (direct from my checking account). My lawn was not improving but I attributed it to the winter season. There were never any notes left with their invoices with suggestions as to what might be the problem just their notes stating what they did that day. In November of 2016 my husband underwent surgery and I had to take FMLA for 8 weeks to care for him during his recovery. His mother was also here to help as well. He was having home healthcare (nurses and therapists) come to our home every other day. One morning the therapist was there and his sessions were for one hour each time. The therapy sessions were all done in our all glassed in Florida room, and all four of us (therapist, my husband, his mother and I ) would sit in that glassed in room during the entire therapy session. At no time during the hour session did either of us see a technician walk around our house to treat the lawn or shrubs. There was no invoice in my door when the therapist arrived and no invoice when he left an hour later (or it would have fallen when the door was opened each time). As the therapist left I went into the garage and gathered the trash can and then took it to the curb for pick-up. When I went back into the house from the curb an invoice was stuck in my door. So from the time therapist left until the time I came back from the garage and curb of my house (5 minutes at most) how did a technician have time to tend to our lawn? I am convinced the technician did not treat our lawn or plants that day and merely stuck an invoice in our door.I immediately called the company and the manager (or some guy) came out and was adamant that “one of his best technicians” was assigned to our home that morning and he was positive that he actually came during and serviced our lawn. I argued that in no way could anyone have treated our lawn in that time period and if one had, we would have seen him. I also took this opportunity to show the guy the brown spots (same as they were when we hired them) and he told me it was due to our “overwatering” the lawn. When I asked him why we were told initially it was a fungus; asked him why nothing was ever written down on the notes left with invoices each month, or why I had not received any calls from their company regarding OUR over watering, he had no answer. He just kept insisting that the technician had been there that day even though no one had seen him.I have never not paid an invoice from a vendor in my entire life (I’m 68), and am going to pay this final $75 which I am FIRMLY convinced I do not owe. However, I will tell this story every opportunity I have to keep others from hiring this company.
Very disappointed with Safari and their Customer Service. Our landlord requested a damage report on her back yard when our lease was expiring citing our dogs as the cause of severe turf damage and death. The fact that they actually wrote this for her removed any trust that I might have had with this company. There are so many negative factors affecting this grass that it is inconceivable to place fault on any one thing. This grass fights with shade, exposed tree roots, overly high PH, compaction from foot traffic, past problems with fungus, chinch bugs, and nematodes. This note was written in February before the grass had even started coming back. I asked for an explanation of their policy for making these determinations and evidence of any testing that had been done, and was told by the manager that although the technician did not have any credentials in turf management, hed been doing this long enough to just know these things. After having soil testing done professionally, it was found that lime was seeping from the effervescing pavers around the pool causing the high PH and death of the grass. We will be looking for a pest company in the future for our new home, but this is not a company I could recommend.
Weve used Safari for lawn pest control and pH treatment for almost 10 years and they have been nothing short of fantastic. I recommend them to all my friends in the Jax area.
Location 102987We live in the Nocatee area moving into a new home for a just over a year now having Safari for our landscaping lawn care. Our lawn went from being just a very un-perky sad looking sod patches to a beautiful thick zosia carpet. We are virtually weedless and bugless. I recommend them very highly as a high quality professional and caring company.
Repeated difficulty with scheduling and no shows caused me to discontinue their service. Communication was poor. Blame was often place on their scheduling system.
I have never written a poor review on a company before but felt extremely compelled to share my experience so others will think twice before investing money in a company who makes false promises and then threatens collection action for a $70 service that was obviously never provided. We hired Safari based on a neighbors referral in May 2016. They showed up 1 x in May but never confirmed this appt. or called us personally to meet the technician. Since this was our initial treatment, we wanted to discuss our concerns prior to the first treatment so we were all on the same page. Nope. They came and sprayed and said they left a note but I never saw it so I called the office in June asking if when they were going to start treating the lawn. By this time the cinch bugs are worse and our newly laid sod is looking pretty terrible. They come June 30 ...60 days after the first treatment. The girls who answer the phone explain since I never paid for May they didnt come until June 30?? I explained that there must be a miscommunication and PAID for the service in May (shrub and lawn) even though the yard looked awful and there were weeds everywhere in the beds. Ive been back and forth with the rude and unprofessional ladies in the office ever since. They demand the $70 payment for June yet no manager or owner has the time to speak with me or my husband himself. Finally we get Neil to come and look at our yard. He offers to replace the new sod (not a very large area, just the side portion). He promises to be back on Monday to treat and measure. Monday comes and go - no Neil. I call the office and Erin (?) says they told him not to come because we owe $70?? Are you kidding me? Im more than happy to settle up once someone properly treats my lawn in a timely manner and AS PROMISED! I assume the girls in the office are either relatives or wives of the owners because they could care less if you are upset or not. They do not properly communicate customers issues and should not be responsible for relaying info to the techs. Actually, Neil the tech was awesome. We feel sorry that the leadership doesnt see the importance of customer service and how easy it can be to simply call a customer to discuss the situation instead of ignoring it and hoping it goes away. Believe me I was more than willing to pay if we did indeed receive a service but we cant even get a return phone call to discuss. This is just pure neglience on the owners part. Customers trust you and most are faithful in payment when a service is provided. We both work in the service industry and Im here to tell you that word of mouth can ignite your business and it can also destroy it. It may not happen overnight, but theres just too much competition to risk losing a customer. Customers are the lifeblood of our livelihood and you should treat each one with respect - just as long as they arent cursing and acting belligerent which usually doesnt happen if given the chance to make things right. I would NOT recommend Safari. My new sod is destroyed and next will be my credit when they send the $70 I supposedly owe to collections. Its just not worth the headache.
Crappie place to work! They want robots instead of human beings!
