Just came back from my full body scan at Advantage Dermatology and am beyond impressed with this office. They are true professionals - super attentive and helpful, the nurses are very nice and caring, and Dr. Perez is just so knowledgeable and thorough. He answered all of my questions in great detail and spent all the time needed with me unlike some of the other doctors who cant wait to get out on to the next patient.

This is a caring facility through every procedure, from the smallest to the largest. The women PAs are Amazing!

If your looking for a dermatologist, Keep Looking!I used advantage for years. They were good.They moved a lot of staff to Neptune beach, closed the riverside office for months then reopened. They have also changed owners! Dr. Perez has it now. It is Terrible! Appointment settings are fouled up, the Dr doesnt show, or they call you before your appointment and cancel because the Dr, or a family member is sick or something.The PAs are left trying to keep things running and make up for foulups constantly.

Dr. Perez has an outstanding knowledge and skills and it shows in his practice and in the results of his treatments. I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t satisfied with the doctor or the clinic. Highly knowledgeable staff and I know I’m in good hands. I’m a really satisfied and happy client.

The technicians and employees are exceptionally nice medical work is not up to par and they dont seem to understand their paperwork every time my husband goes there they ask for a referral I mean he goes there at least twice a month he has skin cancer so bad Ive called and told them they never return my calls I have been waiting for an appointment for him for nearly a month they dont seem to understand that the patient is the one that is sick they have also sent letters saying the type of cancer that he has is progressing and if it keeps progressing he could die that is exactly the words in the letter that they sent with him now I need an appointment for him so you know what I need to find another doctor because this is a dermatologist not an oncologist they had to cut cancer out of his neck which I started it 10:00 in the morning and worked on him until 10:00 or 11:00 that night no pain medicine not even an aspirin.The same thing is all the people that work there are so nice and it breaks my heart they have to tell them that I really dont think theyve had enough of schooling they just dont seem to understand that he is in pain and he is my life and Im not looking forward to losing him the letter d give him has really scared me. He has big boils on his arm his chest his leg he has also lost a tremendous amount of weight and he throws up every day and I sure pray to God that they dont find the progressing cancer because all were doing is waiting for the doctors to get him in so what else can we do we have put all of our trust in advanced dermatology

I was seen initially at the Neptune Beach office, which was wonderful (except for being charged another co-pay for follow up) but sent to Nira St office for MOHS. Appointment was scheduled for 10 AM. After an hour in the waiting room, I asked to be rescheduled. While that was happening, a young man came out and said I was next. Took me to exam room 5 minutes later where I then waited another hour to see the doctor. Followed by the hours after, waiting to see if they needed to cut more. My time is valuable. The scheduling is ridiculous. I have told all of my friends to steer clear.

Advantage Dermatology can take pride in such compassionate and kind staff. You’ll hardly find friendlier people than here in AD. I always feel really welcomed. For me, Dr.Perez is no less than a messenger of God who saved my life from the dreaded skin cancer. I just went to him for the treatment of pinkish patches on the skin of my face and chest only to be diagnosed as suffering from Basal cell carcinoma. It was a shocking revelation for me. I must appreciate the entire team at Advantage Dermatology who were emphatic and very caring all the while I was getting treated. I was seeing a nurse practitioner at this establishment who was amazing and then she suddenly stopped working there and I was not informed at all and the new physchian wouldnt let me get a word in and was rude and didnt listen to anything I was trying to explain. The nurse also was very not sympathetic to my previous nurse practitioners accident that caused her to not be able to walk anymore. The workers here are very rude and do not listen to patients needs. Would not reccomend.

I have issues with eczema and I’ve been struggling for years now. The itchiness and cracks were unbearable. Really glad that I chose this professional team, Advantage Dermatology, for a skin cancer treatment! The outcome was as favorable and they were very skilled and knows what they are doing. I was really scared about my condition but being guided and treated by expert doctors I know I will be alright! Clinic was clean and very hygienic and the doctors and staffs are very friendly too.

My wife was so happy with the results of her Botox here that she was able to convince me to get the same. Dr. Perez made me feel comfortable throughout the procedure. Procedure was quick, no downtime, and the results – almost instant! Now my wife and I both look so much younger than our age.

I went in about 2 months ago for my first dermatology appointment ever. I was told by the PA Jackie that I had two spots that were suspicious and should be removed. Being self pay I asked what the procedure would cost. Debra, Jackie’s assistant, came back a few minutes later stating the the removal, biopsy, and results would be 500usd. Again, being self pay I was very sure to ask if that was all the costs associated, and Debra and Jackie both said yes. An Office visit for self pay patients was 175usd, so with the procedure my first visit was about 700usd. Jackie removed the spots and told me that likely the one to have real concern over would be the large spot on my stomach, she then asked me to return one week later so she can check up on the areas post op and go over the results.I schedule my one week post op and away I go. A week later I was running a lil behind so I called and notified the secretary that I may be 5-10 min late. She told me that they only a lot for 15 over and if I’m outside that 15min it would be considered a no show and I’d be charged.. so out of security I had her bump up my appointment to two hours later.. then she said that I’m welcome to come in now and be seen early. So I ended up getting to the office only a few minutes after my initial appointment, so I really shouldn’t have changed it.. but she checked me in.. and that’s when everything started to go down hill. First she told me that I owe an office visit fee for the appt... even though Jackie clearly said come in for a post op, and clearly told me that we’d just go over the results real quick. So now they wanted another 175usd just to chat with a PA, not even a the specialist, for less than 10min. I paid begrudgingly and sat down. I sat in that waiting room for over two hours!!! I could see the techs passing my chart and taking the dozens of patients that came in after me.. I get that the flow needs to stay at appointed times, but I was technically on time for my initial appointment that they didn’t refill.. and they didn’t call for over 40mins past my new appointment time. I was so upset! The same tech, Debra, ended up calling me and was so obviously short and upset with me. Debra took me in the room didn’t ask any chief complaints.. didn’t ask any questions what so ever. and just said I’ll be back and shut the door. I then wait another 30min all awhile listening to the techs talk about me and how ignorant I was to not know I’d be charged for my appointment. So Jackie finally walks in and asks how I’m doing. I tell her not great, and then tell her everything that happened. She says their policy is to charge as an office visit for everything but post ops. I told her that it was a post op, and she just kinda laughed it off. She then told me that I needed to schedule surgery for my stomach because the margins came back positive for cells and that needed to be addressed ASAP. The initial appointment had other issues addressed with prescriptions, and Jackie didn’t ask how any of those were doing. She told me go to the front and check out, because the surgery and Billing departments would call in 2 days to discuss everything else. They didn’t. And it turns out the office went ahead and scheduled my surgery without telling me.I came in for the surgery, which was supposed to be by Jackie.. but it ended up being another PA, again haven’t actually seen an MD.. this PA is Liz, and Liz was pretty nice. The surgery went well, but Liz did leave the tech... who I want to say was Doug... at the end to finish all the surface sutures.. I felt a lil weird because he wasn’t even a PA.I come back 2 weeks later and the secretary tried charging me another office visit. I absolutely was shocked and thankfully another employee jumped in a waved the fee. I then waited another 49min and go in to see this time an RN. Come on people. I have huge respect for nurses... I’ve now paid over 2k and yet to see an actual doctor.. the surgery went well and I was given further post op instructions.All in all very dissatisfied with the service. I will not be returning

Not coming back, I received a letter from my insurance that they are waiving all visits copay due to COVID-19. On my November visit they told me I had to pay the visit copay because they were not aware of that waiver, and I paid because anyways was not a significant amount. my son had a follow up appointment on Dec which it looks like I confirmed through their system but I called and leave a message to cancel the appointment and requested to be rescheduled. They sent me a bill for a $50.00 fee non show!!! I called and tried to explain but they denied the possibility that I would have leave a message... in other words they called me a LIER.

I have been an old client of Advantage Dermatology and I can guarantee that my skin has become really maintained. I would trust them with blind eyes when it comes to my skin. My skin was full of acne initially and I even have eczema. They looked into everything and I am feeling more confident than ever. If you want similar help, you should totally check them out.

The staff and the physicians assistant were very professional and compassionate. The physicians assistant answered each of my questions and gave me tips about how to take care of some issues l was concerned about. I will return to this practice; it was a pleasant experience.I have now visited Advantage Dermatology on Nira Street. The practice is all about the patient. The staff and Dr. Perez go the distance to make you feel comfortable. They are compassionate, helpful and professional. The procedures that l had done were totally explained to me and answered every question. I was treated with complete patience and respect. They provided water every day and if the procedure took place from morning until afternoon, they provided me with lunch. I have had a very unfortunate experience with this dermatology clinic. I am a new grad physician assistant from Nebraska that was very eager about the prospect of working for this clinic. I spoke to Evelina about the logistics of the interview and she offered to reimburse the flight and hotel over the phone and get there as soon as possible. Luckily I had a friend nearby so the hotel reimbursement was not necessary and I communicated I just needed the flight reimbursed which she agreed to so I paid $500 for a flight the next week. The interview happened and I was told to give my flight information to another worker at the clinic which I did. A little time passed and I did not hear anything back about the reimbursement so I emailed again with still no response. Over time I was patient and respectful and hoped the clinic would reach out about the job along with the reimbursement but I heard nothing. With student loans and still searching for a job during this pandemic money has become tight and this $500 or any portion thereof would be very helpful for me right now. I have spent the last weeks calling and emailing and being directed to different people in the clinic to leave voicemails which were never returned and finally I was able to speak to Evelina again about the reimbursement after being ignored. She said that the flight reimbursement was contingent on being offered the job which was NOT communicated to me when I purchased the plane ticket to interview. She then asked if I have any proof in emails or text about her offering to pay for the flights and I do not because I took her word over the phone. I know now she chose to tell me over the phone to not leave a trail. Had I been aware the ticket reimbursement was contingent on the job offer I would have reconsidered the interview - that is a $500 gamble and during a pandemic -- I would have least tried to find cheaper flights in the future as opposed to flying ASAP. In the end Evelina could not reimburse me because although the hotel reimbursement is company policy (which I did not need), the flight reimbursement is not company policy and according to her there was nothing she could have done.I have learned why their name is Advantage Dermatology - they take advantage of people.3/27 **UPDATE IN RESPONSE** Thank you for that generic response months later. The problem with your response is I believe I took matters to the manager - Evelina - who lied to me and did not reimburse my flight. Is there another manager? And the company surely has all my contact info if someone else would like to reach out to me and try to rectify this situation. Until that happens my review will remain public for potential patients and employees to read as a message of warning. I am also not a patient, but was a potential employee and would feel comfortable discussing matters over this review section because this was actually a faster reply than the wait time that incurred from my original problem which lasted for roughly half a year before I received a response. I didnt even receive a yes or no response after the interview after I went through all the trouble to arrive which is just rude...

They will leave you waiting for your appointment for hours in their waiting room. The doctor was very nice I had a follow up appointment today 11/18 when I arrived after driving an hour that my appointment had been canceled, even though I received a text message confirmation of my appointment. I was told they would see me... but they had no clue how long it would take. They said they called me Friday, but I did not receive a call. If you have a busy schedule do not use them.

Dr. Perez cut a 1 and 1/4 inch hole in my brand-new tattoowhen he was done he took the time to trim it and sew it with real fine thread and you cannot even see where it was cut I really recommend this doctor and his staff is wonderful.

Dr. Perez is an excellent doctor. The employees are friendly. However, the first impression on the initial visit does not give me a sense of assuredness due to all the huge signs, posters, advertisement, etc. about the beauty procedures that they offer. There are no signs of the Dermatology practice. I would suggest that this be changed to ease patients arriving with serious dermatological issues to make one at ease. Some of the furniture in the waiting area, specifically chairs, are very stained and they should be removed and replaced. Having done my research on the experience and training Dr. Perez has received prior to going there, I feel comfortable.

I complain, you get back to me two weeks later and state the charge will be removed as a one-time courtesy! THE OFFICE WAS CLOSED, i WILL NEVER COME THERE AND WILL POST ON ALL THE SOCIAL MEDIA POST i CAN FIND. edit: I called your number posted. No answer after three attempts. I finally got the office to remove the invalid charge. I WILL STILL NEVER COME THERE AGAIN!

Waited several weeks for appt. Was told they were specialist with this condition by the receptionist when I called to schedule. When my appt. date arrived, I waited 1.5 hrs. to be told by a PA there was nothing they could do. Did not tell me anything I did not already know. Total waste of time. They made sure they got me out right at lunchtime.

I got botox a month before my wedding. I was really concerned about the final result as it was my first time. Fortunately, everything went well. The whole process was quick and pain-free. I saw positive results almost immediately. The redness faded away in a couple of days. Great experience and thanks for my beautiful look!

This place is a complete joke.Lets see my 7 year old daughters appointment was suppose to have been yesterday at 1. As soon as we walked off the elevator inside. the girl at the front desk said to sign in on kiosk so I did the only thing it asked was for year of birth and phone number. Done that then sat down to wait for her to called to the back. Keep in mind were was in front the row. We waited well after 2 and the girl asked if we was waiting to be seen and I proceeded to tell her yes. That her appointment was at 1. The had already took numerous people back that come in long AFTER we did. Well when they FINALLY called her to the back to just sit in only an adult gown and panties in a freezing room without getting seen. I finally had enough of this joke of a place and left after 3:30.

Right from the first appointment, Dr. Leen helped me to keep calm and focus on my treatment. I was overly concerned about my well-being and was a bit frightened because of a past painful experience. She is truly a great doctor who knows what she is doing. I have been seeing her for two weeks now and I already see the positive results on my skin!

I got BOTOX six months ago and Im absolutely impressed with the result. There was no need for any touchup although I was informed about such a possibility. Im thankful to the entire staff for their efforts and high-quality service.

My daughter has a rare skin condition and after being turned down by several places we found Advantage. The staff is great, the office and bathrooms are always clean, and the Dr. Is very knowledgeable. My concerns are always addressed in a timely manner and in a way I can understand. I would highly recommend Advantage for all Dermatological needs.

Beautiful entry way and office. Greeted hello as I walked in and taken back without a long wait. All the staff were attentive and Dr Perez is great. He takes time to explain and make you comfortable with any needed surgery. He takes care not to leave scars when possible.

Its obvious that they treat patients with respect. The service is always good. I have never waited too long to see my doctor, Dr. Elizabeth Leen. She is the only doctor who helped me regain my confidence. She was able to diagnose my skin condition accurately and prescribe treatment that actually works!

I have been a patient of Advantage Dermatology for over 5 years. I ha e great confidence in their management of my skin. They are very thorough and caring. My only negative is that they periodically over-schedule patients and I’ve had to wait a long time to be seen. My last appointment for a skin check had me waiting almost an hour to be seen. Yet, their thoroughness outweighs this one negative leading to a five star rating.

Everyone was nice, but I really didnt like how they asked me at the front desk about what medication Im taking. I didnt want to say it in front of everyone. The office was nice and clean looking. I was, however, completely misdiagnosed and told to get several medications that it turned out I didnt even need (antibiotics and creams). So that was a huge waste of money. The ARNP said I had (some kind of rash I forgot what its called) even though I didnt have any of the symptoms of that particular rash. I explained that I didnt think thats what it was because I had none of those symptoms and she insisted that thats what I had and she was 100% sure. So I went to my general practitioner and got the correct diagnosis. Im very angry that I bought the medication before going to another doctor. Also, I didnt like that the nurse was a man. It made me very uncomfortable, especially when we were in there alone. I think if the patient is a woman the should either leave the door open or have another woman nurse.

This group has successfully achieved professionalism and class by unprecedented measure in a medical setting. Their standard of care exceeds any I’ve ever experienced. APRN, Janice White, was amazing during my initial consult and biopsy processes. She was thorough and took her time to explain things well. I asked many questions. And although surgical follow up was required, thankfully through Advantage Dermatology, all of these services (and more) can be done in the same office, by a similar team of doctors, no transfer of paperwork. There’s a continuity of care in that which feels invaluable. On the other wing of the office, Dr. Perez and his surgical team are skilled, considerate, wise, and so knowledgeable. Even though my circumstance was complex, I never lost confidence in his team. I highly recommend them.

I came here with very little expectations, I was so surprised after being seen at other dermatology clinics here in town this group not only met my expectations they exceeded them. Carmen is amazing! I have been going here for over a decade and every time I come back, I ask myself why Im still coming here. Literally every time I go, I wait 60 minutes past my appt time before I see the dr. Every. Single. Time. They are ok at what they do but not great. Not worth the wait.

They have taken such good care of my husband who has has Mohs surgery and skin grafting. Very personable staff. Dr. Perez is great.

Ive been a patient over a Year been switched between 3 doctors.. and BOTH LOCSTIONS to see if There were more attentive DRs .....Short Answer... NOPE!! IVE BEEN DEALING WITH MY SKIN CONDITION FOR OVER 20YRS!!! All they do is write Prescriptions!!! In my Case They RE-WRITE Perscriptions!!! Ive Waited over 2 months for an appointment Due to COVID19...My Skin Break Out is Visibility at its Worst!! Yet, I was Re-Perscribed THREE Steroid Medications that ARE NOT EFFECTIVE!!!!! MY Medical Records Indicate I was Prescribed The EXACT SAME Topical Creams at FOURTEEN YEARS OLD!!!! IM Now 29Yrs Old!!!??! 🤬!! SCREW The Patient I Was Sent On My Way with follow up appointments EVERY 60 days.. THEYRE A JOKE!!!

Less delays, they see their patients on appointment time, which is a very good thing if you have to be back to work on time.

Wonderful experience. The people are all friendly and polite. We have gone 3 times now, never a wait and always great service. The office is always clean too.

I have had both as pleasant and professional experiences as I have ever had in all my years of interacting with physicians and their staffs. Dr. Bernhardt is amazingly courteous and caring. I hate to say this but I think this place are full of incompetent people. Twice in a row that Ive tried their services and I was disappointed for both. The first time I gave them the benefit of the doubt when they gave me medication which didnt cure my allergies at all. Second time, this was worst. I was left unattended for hours because they lack the system to properly organize and coordinate patients with their appointments. I wont be going back here at all and Im writing this review to warn others not to bother going in this place.

I read the online reviews and was a bit put off by them but the office is close to my home so I decided to give them a try. I was very impressed! The staff is friendly and courteous. The CNP Janice White was outstanding. She was on time and most helpful. I have been to several dermatologists and am quite satisfied with my care so far. Heres hoping all my visits turn out the same way. I would highly recommend this place even though its only my 1st visit.

Very nice and professional staff. Dr Perez is excellent and alway teaching his staff. It makes you feel confident that they are always improving and staying up to date. The office is always clean and on time. My procedure was scheduled very quickly. I recommend this practice without hesitation.

They were very nice, friendly and helpful. I would recommend them for anyone that needs a Dermatologist. They do a great job.

I had an appt for feb 10, they called and canceled it. When trying to make a new one closest thing was 2 months out and then I would have to come back for whats needs to be done. All I got was an Im sorry, no let me see if I can squeeze you in for the inconvenience, nothing and when I started to get upset and tried to not cry on the phone for the frustration I got you have a nice day and she hung up on me!

I would give this practice 5 stars because Dr. Perez is great, but one of the assistants (a male) left the door open to my exam room while I was naked for everyone that walked by to see me. Overall though, I do like this location and Dr. P!
