This review does not take into consideration the workout equipment. That being said...it is a small gym. Two restrooms/showers. Dirty. Womens restroom ceiling has water damage, water pressure is all but missing, and shower itself was filthy. The entire gym doesnt have the same vibe as most other ATFs I have been to. The walls are green and the lighting is dingey. Sign out front says Under New Ownership so maybe the changes are coming soon?

I really like this AF location. The new owner, Chris, has really improved the place and has more great ideas for the near future.My favorite time to go is to Boot Camp on Sat mornings. The trainer, Victoria, is amazing & has really helped me improve. But the best part of class is the group camaraderie.Since it’s under new management, now is the perfect time to check it it.

Is this place still open? I just moved to Jacksonville and this is less than a mile from my house. Is it closed temporarily? Or permanently?

I joined mainly for the Yoga classes. The yoga teacher, Rosina, is wonderful! If you are looking for a gentle, stretching, detox yoga class you wont be disappointed! Of course you can always make modifications to increase or decrease the level. My friend is using one on the trainers and is very happy, too! Victoria, the manager, is a ray of sunshine!

I went to the place twice and nobody open me the door. I was trying to get a membership but I think nobody cares so...

I think the gym is great. It may not be as big as some of the other gyms around, but it has all that you need. The smaller gym creates a great atmosphere. Everyone; staff, members, trainers, are all VERY friendly and willing to help if you need it. Its open all the time, which is great. The security is an added benefit for women who workout later at night. I am willing to pay a little more for great people, great atmosphere and somewhere that I feel safe.Plus, now they have the 24 hour classes, which are AMAZING. I can do a class whenever I want!! LOVE IT!!

Good times and great oldies.This Gym has given me a great experience.First of all, it has a rustic kind of look to it, and it feels like an authentic Gym. I really dig all of the Armed Forces flags around the walls as well.The staff doesn’t mind giving you pointers, with out trying to empty your pocket book at the same time, while also offering fair prices for private one on one sessions. The other members are helpful, and it’s just a good vibe at anytime.The gym, and the equipment is not dirty, nor is it outdated.Plan on getting ready for summer with anytime.

I called to ask if they do guest pass for a day, guy told me yes. When I came guy kept me at the door and says ‘can I help you?’ I’m like, ‘yea are you guys open?’ And he asks, ‘are you a member?’ So I explained I just spoke on the phone with him. He got upset and smirked ‘that’s not the point, you can’t just come in for a free workout’ what kind of customer service is that? Super rude and completely unfriendly! Should have just said they don’t do day pass and not be a jerk. Would NOT recommend for new member. Seems like they don’t need any new members...

Nice location and equipment. Nice to be able to workout 350 miles from home. Wish they had a vending machine inside the gym.

I signed up for the free 7-days trial. I came to the facility on staffed hours as they asked and I even called before, and it’s been almost 30 min and no one showed up. NO ONE! I’ve been ringing the bell hoping that someone would help and no one did. People coming and going inside of the gym and I am outside on the rain waiting for someone to showed up and assist me. Very terrible! I guess you shouldn’t expect much for something for free right?! WRONG! I am, as everyone else, a costumer and I would like to respected.

Horrible customer service. I just wanted to use the gym for one day to see if I like it and the guy at the door gave me such an attitude about it that I don’t want to even go there anymore. I can’t imagine how much damage a guest pass could have possibly done to that gym that he wouldn’t want me to use it. That guy needs to learn how to run a business.

Came here on a Saturday night so there were only a couple people there but it was well kept up and had all the machines and weights I expected. There weren’t very many treadmills so that could be an issue if you come during a busy time but that would be the only consideration I would take.

Very nice gym. Lots of equipment. Looks like its a bit older equipment, but it still kicked my butt. Left it all in the gym and feeling good. Nice place. Ill be back someday.

Nothing but positive things to say about this place. Helped me lose 45 pounds and all the staff are awesome and friendly. The free classes are amazing too!

Bad selection of workout equipment plus some of the equipment is derelict. The buttons on the treadmills seem to have been mashed super hard so you have to hit the button multiple times before it registers plus the TVs are all kept off for some reason. Only 1 squat rack. The guy who runs the place is quick to threaten people which is unprofessional and unsettling. They should be clear that doing month to month is actually a year contract when they sign you up. They sign you up for these contracts under false pretenses which might be illegal. Probably the worst gym Ive been to in Jacksonville considering the lack of workout equipment, equipment that is in bad condition, and unfriendly/unprofessional staff.

The gym is clean, people are so friendly, and Barry (owner) takes the time to get to know everyone there. Its such a wonderful environment.

I stopped by this location because Retro Fitness closed without notice. My workout partner were looking for a new place to workout. So we stopped in to take advantage of the free 7 day pass to see if it was a good fit for us. The guy working the location was very rude to my partner and I. He told us this is not a place to hangout. He had a very nasty attitude. I couldnt believe he talked to us like that as we were potential patrons. No wonder the gym was empty. Im also goi going to call corporate and explain our very unfortunate encounter. It left s very bad taste in my mouth and I will not give my business to Anytime Fitness at any location because of this.

The new staff is nice and personable, unlike the former female manager that I dealt with. The gym used to be really clean but recently its been filthy. The bathrooms are the worst; hair everywhere; poop on toilet; pee on the floor. Ill be leaving this gym soon for a membership at another gym due to sanitary reasons. I dont pay money to workout at a dirty gym.

Its small, but it packs a punch. Its got everything you need. Great company!

Id have to give this gym 2 stars, the pros on this gym is that its closest to my house, its 24/7, the equipments are wonderful, SOME staff are helpful and SOME just dont quite listen and will forget what you said the next day. its small and not that crowded at all matter of fact they are so slow that it would look like they would go out of business.The cons are you can be charged 34 to 40 bucks monthly depending on ur selection, waay to overpriced, they claim they would get new equipment last year around fall and they nvr did, tvs on equipment dnt wrk, and theres a 20 dollar fee they take out along with ur monthly pay if u ever had to change ur card number with them for sone odd reason, atm ate my card so had to give em the new number, so then i got charged 57 instead of 37 for the month then when they tried fixing it, i nvr got bk the 18 bucks they said id get back so after that poor business i was done...

The people at the gym are really racist. They will stare at you nervously, if you are not white, as if you are not suppose to be there. Plus they will write false reports about you, in an attempt to get you kicked out. One white guy said he felt threatened by a friend of mine, but the camera showed he did absolutely nothing. The staff tried to kick him out, then later called him to apologized when they saw the evidence. But after they said nothing to the racist guy who wrote the false report, My friend left anyway and went to Bailys Gym instead. I joined him as well, Bailys is better.

Great hours, great location, and helpful staff.Showers and bathrooms are unacceptable.

Anytime Fitness has moved to this location St Johns Bluff at least a year. The TVs on the elliptical and treadmills still doesnt work.
