Review №1

I went out on my 1st trip with captain Rami with a hunting buddy for my birthday. I would recommend anyone looking for a great day on the Marsh to book a trip with Saturiba. We shot our limit of Rails-15 per person- in a few enjoyable hours on the boat. Hunting for Rails was a literal blast with excitement not often found in hunting. Rami was the expert on locating and getting the boat into position. Rami’s communication was good before and the boat ramp is easy to find and close to the highway. I will be back ASAP

I’ve had the pleasure of fishing with Rami a few times. On each occasion, he was professional and committed to making the trip a success. Rami is friendly & personable and very knowledgeable of his local waters. He works hard to put his anglers on fish.i enjoyed fishing with him and look forward to doing it again soon!

I booked Captain Rami Ashouri of the Saturiba Company to kick start a vacation to St. Augustine for my girlfriend and I. Knowing Capt. Ashouris younger brother in college, I knew that the family grew up in the area and fished it their entire lives. I was pleasantly surprised when Capt. Ashouri called to inquire about my interest in hunting marsh hens along with fishing the flood tide for redfish. I was more than happy to see what else the marsh had to offer because we fish for tailing redfish back home in Cape Coral, FL quite often. Capt. Ashoui methodically fished the intracoastal as the tide rose so that we arrived in each area with the tide in the exact spot it needed to be in order to pole through the spartina grass and search for tailing fish. It immediately became evident that he has fished these waters his entire life. I was more than attentive trying to remember all of the information that he offered so that I could apply it later in the week for my own fishing trips. To Capt. Ashouri, fishing for tailing fish on a high tide seemed second nature, but a whole different ballgame for my girlfriend and I. We both had multiple attempts at fish nearly every spot we stopped at, and my girlfriend picked up a nice red quickly on a small paddle tail. I on the other hand was throwing a crab fly pattern, and even with multiple eats my strip set was just a bit to slow to get it done in the spartina. It was nearing mid-day along with the top of the tide, but now it was time to bring out the shoguns and give Capt. Ashouris Boykin Spaniel, Sonny, a piece of the action. As he would pole us through the creeks, you could hear and see small marsh hens, or King Rail, cackle and flush through the grasses and dart from patch to patch of spartina. If you happened to lose track of a bird in all the commotion, Sonny would be right at your feet to point your eyes back in the right direction. After 4 marsh hens were shot for a nice appetizer for that nights dinner, we decided to call it a morning and were wrapped with a more than successful Cast n Blast before lunchtime. Even with all of the knowledge gained from our morning together, I took 2 additional trips to the marsh during my vacation with much less success in my own boat. This quickly reaffirmed my initial belief that what Capt. Ashouri has learned over the years of growing up on the marsh cannot be replicated, even days after feeling like a flood tide regular on the bow of his skiff. It was more than a pleasure spending the morning with Captain Rami Ashouri, it was a sporting experience that offered real insight on what Northeast Florida has to offer for any sportsman. Thank you for the opportunity, and we are looking forward to many more in the future!
