I completely forgot to put a review until I referred Young. She did an amazing job with my wedding dress. She added a zipper, fixed the “bones” in my dress, added the cups to fit my top and made it breathable. Lol I was so nervous when I realized all she had to do, but her confidence definitely reassured me.

I had two pair of pants and two dresses altered. One dress in particular required a lot of work, and the owner did I great job. There’s no bunching in the dresses, and the pants fit perfectly. I’m really pleased with the work and glad that I get to continue to wear two of my favorite dresses after losing weight.

I come here to get things to fit because they too small or too big either way there is no job too big for this lady and she always does a great job always making sure the job is right and listening to every detailed request. I gotta pick some Calvin Klein leggings up tomorrow she had to make smaller for me. Its getting kinda cool out doors.

I went there 3 months before my wedding, because a friend recommended it to me. She did not really understand what I want and finished my dress 5!!!!! Days before my wedding. I paid about $450 and in the end she ruined my dress and I was not satisfied at all! There was even blood at the back of the dress which was supposed to be mine?!???? - I just don’t remember bleeding while I was there for fittings.In the end it was really such a waste of money!!! I made the best of it and my special day... BUT if it would not be 5 days before my wedding I would even buy a new wedding dress.

They are reasonably priced and very fast. I had a large patch that needed a timely seam for an event and the staff could do it on time and cost less than I could have imagined! Saved my life on altering a suit for a wedding I was in that ended up being too small too close to the wedding day. Worked magic to add to it without noticeable changes that made the fit great on the wedding day. Definitely recommend and will always go here for any future alteration needs.

Highly recommend, Youngs Alterations. Ms. Young is professional, sweet and fair with her pricing. If you want something done well then choose her alteration shop. I brought in six pairs of slacks, all designer and too expensive to toss and replace. She took in several inches from multiple areas on each pair. I was astonished by her craftsmanship. These look like custom made dress pants. One pair was so large that she essentially had to create a new pant all together! The quality is superb and she honored her anticipated completion date and time. So happy I chose Ms. Young. I plan to use her for any and all future alterations. Thank you so much Ms. Young!

Very expensive. If you have a lot of money and you like spending it come here. She quoted me $115 for simple suit alterations. I went to Best Alterations and they charged me under $30 for the same alterations.

Started with simple hems and was so pleased with Ms. Chungs work (thread colors matched, work was done promptly) that many other more complex items were brought in for extensive alterations including resizing a favorite dress, shaping jackets and over large favorite shirts, pants, etc. The quality of her work is consistently excellent. The altered clothes invariably look and fit much better. Having suffered mediocre work with bulges, cheap looking hems, and misfit clothes from previous tailors, finding Ms. Chung and enjoying the new life she has given my wardrobe has been a pleasure. You wont find a better, more professional and gifted tailor in Jacksonville.

She did a great job on my bridesmaids dress. She was patient and took the time to perfect everything. I have huge boosoms and it is really difficult to get things to fit perfectly but she worked miracles. The price was a little steep ($170) but it was worth it for the quality.

I had my wedding dress drastically altered and was very pleased with the result. My wedding dress was a halter, but had it altered so the straps would go down my back and I could wear a regular bra. Ms. Young was professional, flexible and most of all she cared. Even when I was ok with something, she worked at it until she thought it was perfect. Be specific about what youd like her to do, and she will do her best to do it. I plan on using her services again for regular seamstress work.

Would rate a zero if I could. I arrived at this business and there was a message on the door to ring door bell. I stood there and rung the door bell several times and no avail. I then walked to my car and called this business. The lady answered the phone, whispering. I asked what time does she opens and she said that she is open. I then explained to her that i was just ringing the door bell. She then walked out and opened the door, saying she never heard the door bell. She rang it and said now its working. It worked whenever i ranged it because I put my ear to the door as i ranged. She keeps the door locked to chose what race she wants to serve. She then told me its wedding season....smh. what does that mean? She asked me when did i need my dress only to give me a date after my deadline. I guess my money is not good enough for this business. This was the third oriental business that I was turned down. Never will step feet in a oriental business again.

Extremely satisfied with my experience here. I became pregnant after purchasing a bridesmaid dress. At 20+ weeks pregnant, the dress no longer fit. She was able to completely recreate the dress, making it fit me perfectly 2 weeks before the wedding. No complaints!

I chose Youngs Alterations after reading some promising reviews, but was extremely disappointed with my experience. When I brought my bridesmaids dress in, I was charged over $130 for shortening the hem and straps of my dress a couple of inches each. I paid double what the other bridesmaids in the wedding party with comparable alterations paid. When I asked the owner why her prices were so much higher than the market, she said her rent keeps going up and I should take my business elsewhere next time. I will be taking her advice!

Ive trusted her with some of my biggest moments in life, from my wedding dress and my husbands tux alterations, to what I wore to my goddaughters christening.Whether it was my wedding gown or just to have jeans hemmed, Ive never felt rushed during the fitting. She always makes sure I love how everything fits after her tailoring. Her fair prices, high quality work, and cheerful demeanor are what have kept me coming back all these years.

I dont even recall when I first started using Youngs Alterations! It has been at least 20+ years. I am short so I have had her alter pants forever, some with linings as well! She will put in the same hem style that came from the manufacturer. She will help me decide on lengths based on the shoes that I will be wearing and the style of the pant leg. She has caught flaws in manufacturer dress hems, etc. I have had Young take garments in and let them out. I have had her shorten shirt sleeves as well as the length. I have had her make the hemlines straight with added side slits. She is very precise and does top quality work. If she cannot do something she will explain why it cannot be done. Some requests can be expensive but Young explains the labor that is involved which allows the customer to make an informed decision. I have learned over the years that what may appear like an easy fix may in fact be one of the expensive jobs due to the construction of the garment, fabric, etc. Young knows what it takes to insure the garment is returned in as good or better condition than when she received it! In addition to her work she is trustworthy, honest, respectful, and cheerful. and bottom line is that Young is well-deserving of a five star rating.

I will post pictures after my cruise. I could not wait until then to write my review. I had Ms Young alter a mother of the bride dress that I wore to my sons wedding 11 years ago. What she did was nothing less than miraculous. She made it contemporary and much less mother of the bride(ish). It is breathtaking and the fit is perfect. as a post script she also altered a skirt for me. Again perfection A very, very satisfied customer.

I had a gown that was botched by local alteration shop nearby that will remain unnamed so I walked in to Youngs to see if she could salvage it. She explained what needed to be done and was very patient and helpful. A week later it was fixed and fitted better than I expected. I am very grateful for outstanding job she did and now I go to her first from now on, I definitely recommend her.

I cant say enough amazing things about this sweet woman and her work!!! I bought my dress too small as many women do in hopes of losing weight....well I did lose the weight...and then some. Not only was her work absolutely amazing, her care and compassion astonished me!! After letting out every seam in my dress, before I lost the weight, she then took it back in on areas THREE times to make sure it fit absolutely perfect!! She even stayed open late to ensure I could make it to all of my fittings. She went above and beyond, and I would highly recommend her to anyone for any occasion!!! She is a miracle worker!!!
