I found Brittany online and let me tell you, she’s an AWESOME BARBER! As I’m new to Jacksonville, coming from NY it’s been so trying to find a good, decent barber. Well, somehow, someway I was blessed. This place popped up while searching in the Mandarin area and I was skeptical to be honest but I let my guard down and booked an appointment, walked in, they offered me a cold beer (yup complimentary) as I waited for Brittany to free up, she was prompt, kind, caring, can literally talk about anything, offered advice and most importantly, kept asking if what she was doing I liked…I want to say hands down probably the best barber experience I’ve ever had. Make sure you go see Brittany or any of the other girls that are there. They are all very, very talented!

Been there twice. I was so lucky as a walk in that Jackie was available the first time. She is very talented, patient and precise. Experience does payoff. Im not big on vanity but with all the compliments I received (even from my kids) that is the real endorsement of Jackies work. Will definitely be returning! Thanks Jackie.....

My last three cuts has been here and I must say I am very happy each time I walk out of there. From greeting you and the door offering you a beer to the quality of cuts. Im very excited that world golf one is opening soon. I travel about 30 minutes to the mandrian location

Jackie cut my hair, zero fade with nose and eyebrow wax. She had incredible attention to detail and made sure everything was perfect. Will definitely be coming back!

I loved it! Gonna be my new haircut joint. The decor and music was eclectic but cool. Heather was great and I was even able to buy the kind of LayRite that I like.

I love this place! Everyone here is super friendly and nice, and the vibes were super relaxed. However, Sarah is what ultimately made this place for me. Not only she know how to cut hair, she got me comfortable with trying new services such as eyebrow waxing and facials to help clean up my looks while finding new ways to relax. Outside of her ability to cut hair and perform services flawlessly, she was super nice and very easy to get along with. Sarah ultimately become my favorite barber and I am going to miss her as my barber. I would highly recommend checking out Hair Mechanix in San Jose and Sarah!

The atmosphere is amazing. Sarah is the best, she always takes her time and makes me feel comfortable. I am very picky when it comes to my hair and i never have to worry with her. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone.

I have been looking for a quality barber shop since my regular barber retired a couple years ago. I tried several different places with many different stylists along the way. I finally found the one. Sarah did a great job on my beard. She took her time instead of rushing to get me in and out so she could get more clients in the seat. Everyone was super friendly and the environment was clean and welcoming. I will have no issue driving all the way from St Augustine to be a regular here.

This is the BEST place I have ever taken my boys for hair cuts. We are addicted. It started by them fixing my babys hair which lead to all 4 of my other boys coming here. They have our loyalty! Ive never seen a better hair cut on any of my children or husband!

Sarah is awesome! I won’t get my hair cut by anyone else, they just don’t compare. She makes booking an appointment painless and the haircut is perfect every time.

Only reason I don’t give it one star is because I went here a couple times and got great service fromAngel. Went there one day and Angel was not working so decided to wait. One of the ladies finished but she informed me her shift was over so I’d have to wait till the next available (cool, no problem). She starts to clean up to go home and I wait for the other lady still with a client. Another 10 minutes goes by and another guy comes in, no appointment just like me. Talked to the lady who was getting ready to go home and she decides she can cut his hair quick. Meanwhile I’ve been waiting 30-45 minutes. After the guy is already sitting, she then asks me “oh I’m sorry is this okay”. Needless to say I left and I’ll never go back after that rude encounter!

Let me just put this up front: I’m no longer going to another barbershop other than this one!! The detail, the time they take to make sure it’s perfect, the customer service....it cannot be matched by any other barbershop around. It costs more than the average Sports Clips or Great Clips, but let me tell you what, ITS WORTH IT! I used Angel and she is amazing, but I saw the haircuts others got from the other barbers and they do just as great.

First time . It was a great experience. Sarah did a fantastic job . It is a total different experience then a super cut. I recommend Hair Mechanix to everyone, go try it out you’ll love it.

I’ve had a few haircuts all over town. Hands down Dani takes the 10/10. Master craftsmanship. Great conversationalist. Detail oriented. But overall just a wholesome human being. Barbershop visits are always a decompression and the atmosphere she provides is absolutely ideal. If you’re in the mandarin area, the choice for a barbershop home is easy.

Im not special, Im just like you - Ive tried em all. You find a place,you go there a couple times, then you find someplace else. Not this place. First time I came in I didnt get a haircut, I drove someone else. But they begged to wash my hair and then style it with a gel I would end up falling in love with. Ever since, I come back and have Sarah cut my hair. She makes you feel special, the attention to detail, the relaxed conversation, Im coming back for the rest of my life - just dont book Sarah on my reservations.

I used to go the Hair Mechanix on Beach and I still would if I worked over there. But when I moved to my new job site, I would make special trips up there just to get my haircut by Luci. This morning I discovered the new location in Mandarin and I was thrilled. I booked an appointment with Tess. She did a great job and I guess Im going to have to miss Luci. Tess does an equally great job as Luci. Closer to home and I great service. Almost fell asleep in the scalp massage. Highly recommended

Holy cow, Brittany did a phenomenal job on my sons hair. Hed been growing out his hair since March, so it was very long and crazy. She took her time and listened to the look he wanted to achieve. She even showed him how to style it at the end. Its not often you find a stylist that finds common ground with a thirteen year old boy, but she is amazing. Highly recommend. Atmosphere is laid back, offered complimentary drinks, and sports on the tvs. Pricing is very reasonable.

Im pretty straightforward with my haircut. I like a clipper cut really short. I like a beard trim. I like a straight razor on my neck. I havent found very many barber shops where the consistency is such that I have to go back. Britney at hair mechanix is like that for me though. This is my spot. A really great quality experience in a very nice atmosphere.

The manager, Brittany, has given me the best haircuts I’ve ever had in my life by far! 10/10 would recommend this place. I have never been to a cleaner, more inviting barbershop. Where else can you sit in a comfortable chair, with a beer, and watch TV while you get a perfect haircut, a relaxing scalp massage and a neck shave? All of the girls seem to be deeply invested and passionate about their craft! And it shows.
