I have been coming here for several months and everytime I have had the best service. Mr. Bernard is such a great guy to work with. Any services needed they will hook you up. They go the extra mile.

1. Front counter clerk looked like he didn’t want to answer my questions, attitude. 2. After my car was serviced mechanic left my driver side window down for anybody to have access to the things in my vehicle. 3. Mechanic says my window wasn’t working, doesn’t tell the front clerk about it (thank god I came as soon as it was done being serviced and my window was working before being serviced) 4. I get back in my car and my window successfully goes up as it always has. No apology was given.

The guy was nice and the wait time was OK but be careful! I had a coupon for $20 oil change. Then when I picked up my car the total was over $40. There were all these hidden fees and they tried to charge me for 2 filters. The final price was $35 so its still way off the predicted $20. If you do come here ask for a total upfront. This was a simple oil change. I cant imagine if it was something more expensive. If I didnt say anything I would have never known. I will never come back. Freaking Jacksonville. Always shady.

This place is great, I come here pretty often as I drive a ton and Bernard at the front is the best! I usually only go to him because he knows how to run my fleet card without any problems and his customer service is always excellent..when I leave, I never have any issues with my vehicle after- plus it’s easy to walk over to Starbucks or the mall while you wait.

My very recent experience with the Sears Auto Center in Jacksonville,NC...Called today, asked about getting an oil change on my truck. Asked whether or not I should make an appointment or just bring it in, the lady at the counter said to just bring it in. Got to the counter and was told an hour and a half timeframe because they are busy. Waited for 3 hours for a simple oil change. Finally they tell me it was finished. I pay at the counter and walk to my car to find my drivers seat, steering wheel, floor, door paneling, and arm rests covered in greasy hand prints. Take a look at the hood and drivers side fender...Covered at well. Talked to the front desk and they offered to pay for an interior detailing which is exactly what I need, waste another hour and a half because they have incompetent mechanics in the shop.*** NOTE *** I am a mechanic and would never had taken my truck here to begin with if I had not had recent surgery.Craftsmanship, pride in your work and the desire to deliver a top notch service is a completely lost art in todays society. I should not have to pay 70+ dollars for you to treat my truck as poorly as you did.Dont leave Sears with your vehicle trashed from these people! Hold these types of people accountable.

The auto center of Jacksonville, NC is filled with some of the laziest technicians ever. They decided to make me provide my own labor into putting my spare back in its proper locations and loading my used tires in the bed of my truck myself. They could have done all this prior to me coming to pick the truck up as the truck was done 2 hours prior to me picking it up.

My wifes car wasnt starting so she went to get it checked out. Another place said the starter hard to be replaced. Luckily SEARS was very honest and showed he the terminal connection was loose. Charged he 19.99 for the diagnostic and to change the terminal.Would definitely bring my car back here.

Good oil change prices. They did an overall good job. But dont schedule your oil change before the mall opens or you will find yourself ultimately bored with their super empty waiting room.

On sept 4, 2017, I called the store to set an appt to purchase and have new tires installed on my truck. I was informed that the tires had to be ordered and would be here on Sept 5, 2017 between 10am and noon. I made my arrangements to be at the store location around 1130am. However, when I showed up, I was told that the tires would not be in on this date, and that I would have to wait another day. I drove from new Bern, and couldnt afford to take another day off of work. I wanted to utilize the why not lease it program. But it seemed to me that my service writer did not know how to properly operate that program. However, the service writer did everything in his power to get me a set of tires, not the ones I originally wanted, but he did save me some money. I have sat in the waiting room since 1230, it is now almost 4pm and my truck has still not been brought into the shop. I cant make this up! I do not recommend sears automotive to anyone at all. What makes it worse is that the other service writer on shift did not want to help the other one.

Over the last 3 years, I have purchased 12 new Michelin tires for my wifes car & my truck. I have had other service work performed as well. I have dealt only with Sam who has, at all times, been courteous & professional - he has saved me hundreds of dollars compared to what I would have spent elsewhere. I drive an hour from my home since we dont have a Sears Automotive shop where I live. My experience with Sam & other customer service folks elsewhere is based on your own attitude when you are dealing with any situation - if you are courteous & reasonable, you will usually receive a similar response. Sam & his mechanics have many, many years of automotive experience & I trust their knowledge & recommendations. I have always come away pleased.

I had an alignment done and two rear tires put on because Sears only had 3 in stock. When I came in the next week for the other two tires I was told my car was still out of alignment. I had an appointment at 2pm the following day. When I arrived, I was informed that they would not be able to get my vehicle in on time and was not given a reason. At 3:30, my car was next. As a customer I expect service at the time I schedule an appointment for. I will be taking my vehicle elsewhere from now on.

Horrible customer service. Didnt answer any questions to my liking. Was in a hurry and acted like he didnt care about me coming there, and was very rude. Got an alignment done on my vehicle and when it got completed i drove home and it was pulling more to the right than before. How do you screw that up. Good prices but you get what you pay for. Dont go here, spend more and get it done right.

I am surprised to see some of the negative reviews. I have had nothing but good service at the Jacksonville center. On several occasions I have had the service folks go way out of their way to help me. One time was a year ago. I was 30 plus miles away and it was close to time for them to close. I had a bad/potentially dangerous dilemma and they told me to come on and they were there waiting for me. Great customer relations and that goes a long way with me!

Please go somewhere else and spend a little extra money. Long story short, something on the bottom of my car was messed up coincidentally the day after I took it here for an oil change. I took it to Honda and they said it was most likely whoever changed my oil... i went back to sears and they claim it wasnt them and refused to fix it. Really shady and I no longer trust them with my car.

Not a good experience. I had purchased 2 new tires to be installed, and an alignment. On of the tires was missing g the valve stem cap. When I asked them for the printout of the alignment service, I got the computer was down thing, couldnt even give a verbal result of the alignment. I also had unsatisfactory service at checkout. Iit just proves the continued decline of Sears service. I do not recommend.

This is by far the worst experience i have ever dealt with for any business. All i needed was for them to mount 4 tires with rims already assembled on them that i brought in. My appointment was at 3, mechanics were SLLLLOOOOOOW Did not get out until close of business at 7. What really got me was they charged me $213 even after disputing with them how when i made the appointment the day before i was told $93. Long story short, place is a scam. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE, THEY DO NOT CARE, THEY WILL SCREW YOU LIKE THEY DID ME!

Went in with an appointment and when I went two hours later to check on the status of my vehicle they hadnt even started on it. Isnt the point of making an appointment, is so that you dont have to deal with all of this? Why book so many people at once? You have to give your technicians time between cars to take care of everyone. Needless to say I wont be bringing any of my vehicles here anymore. All they did was say Im sorry about that horrible customer service.

Had two new tires put on recently and the price doubled since my last visit (last year) and the service has tanked. My last visit cost me around $170ish for two tires and an alignment while this visit cost me around $360. My tires normally cost around $32 and this time it was about $45. The alignment itself was $80. 80 bucks for an alignment. Anyway, an issue arose when I got a call that a lug was cross threaded. The last time those tires were taken off was last year in order to replace the brake rotors. The lugs were then put on by my own hand and secured. ZERO chance of it be cross threaded. It would have been obvious at that point in time or probably in the year that Ive been driving before going to Sears. $25 for chrome lug nuts. Im hanging around the mall because I cant do anything until they say its ready. Around the 3 hour mark I went into their waiting room then around the 4 hour mark I finally got my keys. As I was pulling out of the parking lot I noticed my car making a noise on right turns. To be fair my car is almost 20 years old but its odd that this noise started immediately after getting screwed on the lug. I didnt bother taking my car to them about the noise issue since theyll probably tell me I need a new transmission as well. The service before this was always fine and the prices was reasonable. I wont go there again in the future and will advise others to stay away as well.

Bought tires less than 6 months ago and got the road hazard insurance. I noticed that the belts where showing on both front tires after less than 10000 miles. I take the car in to have the tires replaced and without even looking at the tires, Bernard, the man behind the counter says that the problem is my alignment and I will have to pay for replacements. I ask to see the manager and a man named Sam comes out to help. Sam has an immediate attitude, calls me a liar, and then insists he is only trying to help. After a heated exchange I relent to let him check out the car, knowing he will say it needs an alignment. What Sam doesnt know is the front suspension was changed right after the tires were bought. Including a professional alignment. After he glanced at the tires, he asked if I wanted to talk or if I wanted to continue my attitude, I responded hotly and he said he was done and left. I went back inside to find a manager only to be told that he is acting manager because they hadnt found a replacement for the one they let go yet. That is when JPD arrived and told me the story that Sam had given them. The story was fabricated and I left. Sam is an overweight incompetent useless human. He was given just a tiny bit of authority and is already using it poorly. I have spoken with several people who have already had complaints with his attitude and crooked behavior.

DONT EVER COME HERE! Their service is very slow. It took them 3 hrs to change 4 tires. Also, the front desk kept insisting I buy an alignment procedure for my car, even though my tires wore out evenly. I dont understand that, unless they wanted more money out of me. They also informed me that I was not able to get a military discount because I was buying the budget tires. Makes no sense to me. Once I got my back, the car smelled bad and it was greasy at the steering wheel. Again, dont come here.

I do 95% of the maintenance on my vehicles because I can, I usually like doing it and I do not like to pay for labor to do something I can do myself. Plus, I have worked at/been around enough shops to know that some have dubious maintenance practices and it is hard to find a shop/mechanic that you can trust. That being said, today was one of those rare times that I had several reasons to take one of my vehicles into a shop to get something done (time and family issues being the main things). I had already purchased the struts and installed the front set over the past weekend, but some serious issues came up that prevented me from doing the read ones. After calling around to a few places and being told no outside parts, or quoted some astronomical labor price, I called Sears Automotive and spoke to Katrina Brown. She was the most professional, courteous, reasonable and downright kind person I have ever spoken to in retail....ever! As I said (as of this writing), I have a lot of serious things going on in my life that has me under a lot of stress. She was a big, bright ray of sunshine in an otherwise crappy stress filled week. She quoted me a price, asked if I was military for my discount, and did not once try to upsell me anything. I took my car in and got the work done. They did outstanding work on my vehicle, and I will not hesitate to take any of my vehicles to them again if the need shall arise. Also, I plan to make it my go to place for things that I cannot do at home (alignments, balancing, new tires et al). The price for the balancing/alignment, plus the labor to install the struts, was more than reasonable and it was done as quickly as they could get it done. I cannot speak for the other service reps, but Katrina is tops in my book. Call, or go see her, for any of your maintenance needs! I do not remember the mechanics name (and his signature on the alignment readout was unreadable) but he was awesome too.

The service at this auto center is so slow and it might be because they want you to buy other stuff from the main store. I had gone there for an oil change and a new tire. The mechanic took forever. If you do go here go when you have other business in the mall like getting your hair done. Otherwise, youll be buying a bunch of stuff you dont need simply because it takes so long. Also, watch out for some of the mechanics because one must have put oil or something on my windshield. I put my wipers on as I was leaving and the residue on the windshield smeared and made it so I couldnt see. It was pretty scary and something that had to have been done on purpose.
