Wow! What a great experience we had in hosting our sons rehearsal dinner with Parlor Market. It was held in their gorgeous private room, Alberts, a few doors down from the restaurant. From the start, we had superb communication with great listening--making our event what we wanted (not what they wanted). I love how they manage to yes and are customer driven. The food was exquisite. The service was impeccable. I can not rave enough about the attention to detail in food preparation/presentation, graciously kind service and an overall level of excellence in hospitality. Thank you Parlor Market for making our evening so very special! We especially thank chefs Joe and Robert and our incredible team of Taylor, David, Jennifer, Mackenzie, Vince and Matti. You were all superb and we loved working with you.

Fantastic meal with great service by Lloyd. Enjoyed the Caesar salad, grouper special with lobster risotto and carrot cake special with house made ice cream. Among our top meals anywhere anytime.

Wow. Where do I start? The menu is impressive in its complexity yet small enough to be manageable. Bartender (Matt) is extremely talented and personable. Cocktails are creative and pleasant. Wait staff are friendly and attentive. Food was amazing. The halibut I ordered fell apart in my mouth and was cooked to perfection. Exquisite sides and sauces served with it. Wonderful experience. Highly recommend. 10 stars out of 5.

Delicious food. Ate here 2 years ago and remembered delicious cornbread which sadly they didnt have. The fried oyster salad and redfish were really tasty. Service was much better than last time.

I came here on a Friday night for the first time. It was very busy, so I would recommend reservations if you you decide to come here. I was seated at the bar by choice and service was extremely slow. I would say it took more than forty five minutes just to get my entree. I ordered the calamari, the pasta primavera and my friend ordered a steak with hushpuppies on the side over a bed if lettuce. The food was tasty, but I wouldnt say it was anything extra special. Staff was friendly. The reason I rate this restaurant two stars is because this restaurant does not treat their employees with respect. I was disappointed to see that.

Great food, awesome service. The Mahi Mahi was the best Ive ever tried. I had the Affogato for dessert. Its vanilla ice-cream topped with a shot of hot espresso and beignets to dunk. Heaven!

I have never minded paying for food, but every single item at parlor market is over priced by about 30%. Its not that any of the food or service is bad, its just that it is hard to justify buying their 38 dollar steak, when you know its not as good as other steaks you have had at that price range. same for the pasta (shrimp scampi), hangar steak (which is their signature, and is simply not great). I have now eaten there 3 separate times, and thought the exact same thing each time - I could do better.

Best soft shell crab dish Ive ever had! I love soft shell crab and have had it at a lot of different places, but this one really set itself apart. Its not cheap at $18, but its fresh (not frozen) and you can tell. Most soft shell crab comes out frozen, but you lose all the juices and flavor once its frozen. The sauce they put on it was delicious, and the batter was heavenly. The batter was so good that I had to come back to try the fried chicken the next day for lunch ). The fried chicken was good too, but the soft shell crab is something Im going to remember forever, and will be the most memorable thing about Jackson MS when I came to this city for work.

Great place to go. We stayed at the Hilton near by and popped in an hour before closing, but we never felt rushed. Felt relaxed. Service was excellent 5*. Food was sourced locally or made on site. We had starter main and pudding, all tasted really good. Highly recommend to go for a drink or food.

This place what was recommended several times by the locals. They have a changing menu. They serve an ample amount of food and some of the food is prepared a little different than Ive ever had before. I had fried catfish which was just okay. The vegetables were good. Sadly I did not pay attention to the decor so it must have been fairly clean or I would have noticed. The service was good. I am an out-of-towner and if I return to this restaurant I will choose a different food selection. I hear their pot roast is out-of-this-world delicious but it wasnt pot roast day when I was there.

Had lunch here. Sat at the bar alone. I wouldnt typically do that on my lunch break, but it was not crowded and the bar is quite nice and quiet. The service was excellent, as always. Total for large dish of Jambalaya & unlimited tea, and taxes was $16.00. This is a favorite place of mine to grab lunch when I am working downtown. Service is top notch, food is excellent, and the place is very classy. Would highly recommend. I always go between 11-11:30 am and I never have to wait.

Lunch was fantastic. Seated right away on a last minute reservation. Friendly professional staff. Decor is warm with wood beams and brick walls, open kitchen fun to watch. Varied menu with classic Italian, but also BBQ ribs or fried catfish. Duck carbonara was only available for dinner, so ordered the lamb tagliatelle and was very good. Nice wine list, Italian emphasis, craft beers. Dont miss the olive oil cake for dessert, exquisite!

Excellent service and good food. A slightly more formal dining experience. The prices are reasonable at lunch, at least, and their blue plate specials vary daily. Parking is somewhat difficult, as the do not have their own lot, and it is not free. Be prepared to feed coins to the meter. Service was quick, and the menu fairly comprehensive for lunch, with salads and burgers, not to mention a few seafood items. Best suited for smaller parties of two to four, but they do have some seating for larger groups of six or so. Make reservations if its more than 4 in your party.

Two of us dined at Parlor on a random weeknight, and its one of the best experiences weve had in while.Experience started out well before we even walked through the door. We had originally parked on the street and asked the valet if it was okay. Not only did he offer his services, but also volunteered to go get our car on the next block, and being our ticket to us inside the restaurant!Inside, we sat at the bar, and were served by Traylor. He was professional and personable, and helped us feel right at home.We started with a charcuterie board, featuring some of the best pairings Ive ever had. Ask if they have the Red Devil cheese - you wont regret it.I had the risotto with sausage and mushrooms, which was fantastic, and my companion the scallops. Both were prepared well and presented elegantly.Overall, we had a fantastic experience with good food and great service. The best place to dine in Jackson, hands-down!

Atmosphere is great! Menu is limited but the majority of the items are good. I personally recommend the meatloaf and the ribs. The PM burger is good too. I didnt care for the duck gumbo.

Service was ok, ...Gwen the bartender was the best part of whole event. ....great customer service. ...and one of the best bourbon old fashion this side of the Mississippi. .....food left a lot to be desired. .ordered the meatballs appetizers and found some pasta in the sauce. ....no real issue right. ..not if it came off someone elses plate.....thats the reason for the 3 stars

One of the better restaurants in the Jackson area. You can catch some truly unique dishes if you time it out right as the specials change regularly.If you dont want to get semi-dressed up, come in during lunch and not only will you get roughly the same meals, its at a much more digestible price so you can try so much more and there is rarely a crowd so you dont have to wait for a table.This is a great place to have a dinner for a date night or special occasion.The Good:- Great food- Interesting dishes- Great serviceThe Bad:- Crowds can be a little thick at times- Waiting for a table

An elegant setting for casual diners and business professionals alike. A dimly lit restaurant that exudes a calming ambiance accompanied by relatively exotic appetizers and entrées. Quick seating when you walk in the door, but any wait would be avoided by placing a reservation. Plenty of room for various group sizes. Very helpful and attentive wait staff.

Nice service and drinks. My wifes Italian dish was very good, but dont order hanger steak. It was too chewy and waiter knew it.

Not 15 minutes ago I walked into Parlor restaurant, which was recommended by the King Hotel, and was refused a seat. Dining solo for almost 15 years, I have never been refused a seat. The woman at the reception desk offered a seat at the bar. Just what Im looking for, a seat at the bar surrounded by drinking men. I asked twice if a table could be cleared and was told I cannot sit one person at a four top. Oh well, seems shes short sighted. Ill be in Jackson for 2 months on business and wont spend any money at The Parlor.Mr. Emerson, thank you for responding. I will definitely take you up on your offer.

The food was creative and the atmosphere was very cozy. Although a quarter of the menu was duck, the dishes were unique enough so that you dont feel like theyre repetitive. We showed up about an hour before closing and our server was so busy with his side work that we didnt get very good service. I asked for a cup of hot coffee to go and he poured it into a plastic cold beverage cup that started warping and burning my hand when I picked it up. I get that the side work needs to be done eventually, but the management shouldnt let it take priority over the customer. You might have better luck if you go earlier in the evening.The portions are small and the price is high, but thats expected when you go to such a classy place. You are paying for the service after all... right?

Great atmosphere, service, and food. Perfect spot of upscale dinner and drinks down town. Sausage and peppers pasta was phenomenal.

Buttermilk fried chicken is sublime, served with spiced honey for a new spin on a classic dish. Pimento cheese spread for appetizer was a nice surprise. Friendly, prompt service, even during the lunch rush. Hope to visit again.

A cozy atmosphere. I had the scallops which were large and perfectly prepared so they melted in your mouth. Served on a bed of rice, fresh tomato and herbs and a spoonful of tampinade. My husband had the redfish with spinach and eggplant and olives. Again perfectly prepared. We split the peach/strawberry cobbler. Warm and delicious although I didnt see/taste any strawberries. This is fine dining so expect a hefty price.

This is a nice, romantic, dimmed ambiance, dining facility that has various home cooked themed dishes with southern and Italian backgrounds. I enjoy their lunch menu and I also enjoy their Bolognese. Thursday is the best hot lunch in my opinion because I enjoy pot roast. I must advise you that if you dont tolerate pork, dont pick this place bcus the veggies are cooked in pork for the most along with other dishes.....

Amazing. We only had a couple of appetizers and drinks on this visit.The service, the food and the drinks were impeccable. I loved everything about The Parlor. The open kitchen and the warm and cozy vibe is very welcoming.

Stopped in for something on the way to the airport - didnt think I was hungry until I saw the menu. Everything looked great (and we did see just about everything being prepped). Had the duck confit gumbo and the fried oyster salad - fantastic job, Parlor Market.

The food is outstanding. The service is quick. The seating is in a type of tent so it could be a bit chilly even though they have heat lamps.

I dont normally leave reviews for things, but my groups experience at Parlor Market was exceptional. We came in for dinner on a Saturday evening, and were visiting from out of town. Our waiter, Dana, was PHENOMENAL- the best service at any restaurant I have ever been to. His recommendations were on point, even telling us to wait on ordering entrees after eating our appetizers because of the large portion size (he was right, all we needed were appetizers and desserts). The charcuterie board was the best I have ever had, and had generous portions of each item. The local sourcing of ingredients and in house preparation of menu items (even the ketchup) is commendable. Prices were incredibly reasonable for quality and size of menu items, the wine and cocktail selection was well thought out. Little touches went a long way- from the menu of the birthday girl in the group saying happy birthday at the top, to the chef/ willingness to create a vegetarian dish that was off the menu, to our waiter sending us home with the remaining sweet potato muffins that they had in the restaurant (we were the last customers there that evening).I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough, I only wish I lived closer so I could come more often.

I have been three times so far and the experience the first two times led me to go to them again today. Unfortunately my experience today was poor enough to not want to return. We had checked in to the Blues Marathon and decided to stop over at the Parlor Market afterwards because its nearby and the Blues mentioned that it was 20% off for runners this day.My wife and I ordered two burgers - the Burger Parmesan and the PB Burger. Hers - the Burger Parmesan - was top notch. Mine however was half the size patty, but with the same cooking time so it was extra crispy and dry. Since it was already 1:30 when we ate I did not want to send it back to wait for the second try. Our waiter never stopped to ask how everything was either during the meal. I really regret not flagging him down to send back now.Secondly, when we asked the waiter about the 20% deal he mentioned he had never heard of it, but would check w/ the manager. Upon returning he said that they will not honor it because they never signed up for the promo. When I asked to speak to the manager to confirm he just looked shocked and mentioned she was on the phone and unable to speak to me. I get its not their fault for the promo, but a simple sorry or brief explanation from the manager would have been a nice gesture instead of just refusing.

Came in from out of town, staying at the Hilton right down the street. The valet driver told us this was the best place in town and we should try it, we walked in and a young blonde lady told us they were booked. The restaurant only had about 5 people in it, they obviously did not want us to to eat at their restaurant. Dont come to this place, go somewhere else. Dont give your money to people who discriminate others.

Possibly the best dining experience I have ever had (which is even more amazing considering the rest of the city of Jackson). In addition to the excellent food and decor, Mitchell was the best bartender I have ever had by far. Be sure to ask for him if you are eating here. Parlor Market is an absolute must for anyone spending a night in Jackson.

We had lunch there yesterday.. Food was dry and overpriced. Even found a hair in the food and the waiter wasnt overly concerned. Definitely better restaurants out there especially for the high price that you pay!!!!!! We wont be back.

We got here right when they opened and Im so glad we did because despite the ice storm this morning and the slick roads, this place filled up FAST. It was soon apparent why. Our bartender, Reed was super friendly and helpful when it came to picking out drinks and entrees. The food was simply fantastic. Best steak Ive ever had, and my vegetarian wife was super pleased with what the chef came up with for her on the spot (wasnt on the menu) / ANDDD we had beignets for dessert! WOW.
