I had a horrible experience from start to finish at Number One nails in Irvington, and will never return. The pedicurist was apparently in a rush to leave when she started my service and it showed in the end result. She cut my toe, causing it to bleed, and tried to continued on without stopping to clean or treat it, filed down my acrylic on my 2 big toes, then told me I didnt need to be refilled - it was 50% gone!! - which showed through the polish when she was done. She didnt apply plastic wrap to my feet for the gel callous remover that I paid for, saying they dont do that there, didnt buff any of my nails, leaving a grainy finish to the polish, shaped my nail crooked and didnt correct it and LEFT. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the owner, saying Im not happy with my pedicure at all. The owner, Linda, responds by saying, Maybe you messed it up, without even stopping to LOOK, apologize for my experience OR ask how she could help. So turned off by the whole experience, I expressed my disappointment and disgust with her ignorant response, paid (because I was not looking to get a free pedicure, just a PROFESSIONAL ONE) and left. I will spend my money where my presence, money, and time are appreciated FROM NOW ON.

I went for the 1st time here and asked for a nexgen manicure 💅, the guy didnt have an idea about what i was talking about, didnt proceed the right way to remove the old one, but finally do smth and boom, nails done, 🤣🤣🤣

Love this place. Been searching for a nail salon for over a year due to a move. Was going to the same nail place for 15 years and it is hard to replace. Found No. 1 Nails and I love the way my nails are done by Mike and eyebrows by Jenny. Wait time not bad is you walk-in. Check them out!

Not clean. Lady was very rough doing my nails and actually made my cuticles worse. Gel manicure peeling 3 days later. Very dry old polish. Smells gross. Theres enough nail places you dont need to go here.

Could do better, the extra charge for everything is ridiculous. Extra $5 for round nails? Not tips but your own nails, the charge extra. As if our nails are naturally square. The men rush through, not the best work but whatever.

The staff was pretty nice and the service good. The young lady that did my pedicure was super aggressive. I wanted to apologize for whatever it was I done to her even though I just met her. LOL I would go back again.

Dont know the lady name think she was the owner but my nails were terrible and she fixed them she was thorough didnt rush but also didnt take a long time. Its been a week and my nails are still looking great. Previously I went to Steady Nails and in a week it would look like my nails have been done for 3. I think I found my new nail spot

I was a regular customer for the last 5yrs until a month ago.I always get a manicure & pedicure with French design. I decided to try powder manicure with French design. I normally would get Gel until I let my own nails breathe. I transition between gel or no gel, a regular manicure at times. Jenny the owner pointed me in a direction. I allowed the guy to do my nails, it was horrible. The powder was very thick, and my nails were burning. I told the guy several times, it was too thick. He attempted to correct the error but, I was not satisfied. I paid, the $40 even though I did not like the job. I did speak with Jenny & her husband. They told me to come back the next day which was Saturday, and he would fix my nails. This is a place of business I have been coming to every 2 weeks. So, I wanted to just handle the situation as I thought she and her husband would. I have been a regular customer for the last 5yrs. I WAS SO WRONG. SHE & HER HUSBAND HAD THE POWDER REMOVED OFF MY NAILS. THEY WANTED ME TO PAY FOR THAT TOO?? THEY TOLD ME I HAD TO PAY $30 TO HAVE MY NAILS DONE. I JUST PAID $40 THE DAY BEFORE. MY NAILS WERE SORE FROM THE POWDER BEING ON MY NAILS & HAVING TO BE REMOVED. I DID GET MY PEDICURE WITH JENNY. I WILL MISS JENNY SHE KNOWS HOW TO GIVE A GREAT PEDICURE. NOT TALKING ABOUT THE OWNER JENNY EITHER. SO, YOU KNOW THEY WERE LOOKING ALL KIND OF CRAZY WHEN, I PAID $6 FOR MY PEDICURE?? WHY BECAUSE, MY VISIT CARD FILLED UP. THEY DO NOT TREAT YOU FAIR. PAY YOUR MONEY FOR THE SERVICE. IT DOESNT MATTER IF IT WAS DONE WRONG OR NOT. JUST PAY AND LEAVE. THE ONLY REASON I STAYED IS BECAUSE, JENNY KNOWS HOW TO DEAL WITH MY IN GROWN TOE NAILS. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN HERE AGAIN. THEY DONT CARE...SO I TOOK MY HARD EARN CASH ELSE WHERE. IM TAKING CARE OF MY NAILS BECAUSE, MY NAIL BED WAS BURNT. They do a good job but they rush especially the men .Last week I got a full set acrylic and in just 4 days two of my nails came off and the rest were shaking which means they will come off eventually as well so I went back to them and told them I want them redone because I want my money worth Linda (the manager ) said “$25” so I told her I’m not paying no $25 for something I paid for full price 4 days ago and she was Iike we can’t do anything .Im never going back because that’s just unfair .Now I have to go look for somewhere else I can get my nails done and pay more money .

Tom who I go to normally is out on vacation. So another guy did my nails and theyre okay I guess hes a good backup.

The wait was longer than normal and the polish used for my pedicure began chipping off in less than a week. Normally, my pedicure will last for a minimum of 2 weeks with regular polish and even longer with gel. I will return to have my toes painted again.

Long wait for pedicure chair, then they charge extra for using your Visa or Mastercard...

Thoroughly disappointed with the service I received. Went in to get mani pedi and left very unsatisfied. The pedi was okay but rushed. The manicure (done by the owner mind you) was completely horrible. I took of my gel manicure from a previous time, asked for manicure with regular polish and she completely neglected to buff and smooth my nails. She then proceeded to put polish over what obviously was a disaster of a manicure and this is what it came out to be (pictured). Even asking for payment before my nails were painted. When I told her about the job she had done, she became hostile and brushed me off like I asked for a freebie! I already paid! Dont come here! Service has gone to the dogs. Zero stars if I could.

This nail salon do “okay” with nails. I didn’t like the nail technicians rushing on my nails. They don’t really take care of you well. If you would like to relax while getting your nails done, this place isn’t the place for you.
