Came back to reduce my rating down to 2 stars: I realized the nail tech didn’t even put the top coat fully onto my nail (see video of thumb in sunlight). Not only is there a bump (air bubble) on that nail but you can feel the texture difference and see the difference between the part with a top coat and the part without it. She rushed through the top coat segment too and was talking with her friends (who were all sitting down in the massage chairs). On top of that when I paid it took a moment to get my change back and when I politely said thank you and goodbye the way the workers were acting plus one guy I noticed who hovered around me throughout my visit and also went outside so that he could see me and a friend leave treated us like they were profiling us. I said bye to him too and he stared at me for a second before forcing a smile to say bye. I take note of that because when I spend money it’s not just the service that’s important but the customer service as well. I’m sure this would be a great place for others but for a first time this was not a good experience despite being excited that there were high ratings and don’t foresee myself returning.I went here for the first time today during a lunch break. I got a gel mani pedi that was overpriced for what I believe is the minimum. I came in around 1:15 and left at 3:07pm, I’ve never been at a nail salon for that long for just gel on natural nails. The table I sat at for my manicure was dirty as there was acrylic powder that I could feel everywhere I put my hand for the nail tech to do the service. I knew it was acrylic powder when I looked over and saw a partially closed acrylic powder container which makes me think the table wasn’t cleaned after the last customer even with COVID being a concern. This should not be $75, other places charge $45-$55. Another person I know paid $45 for white acrylic nails and I don’t see why acrylic nails cost more than natural nails for such a simply style with little designs (designs are generally +$5 and a second color doesn’t usually cost anything as it isn’t adding a design on top of gel). I do like that they have an ATM inside; I pod with cash but for those who forget the option is there. I gave a tip on top of the $70 I paid but I won’t be visiting here again for the exorbitant prices.

Over crowded, and I came in before a couple of people, but because they have regulars or people they know they were letting everyone sit down before me, when I told one of the workers I was here before any one else she ignored me . It was craziness. The only thing good about it it stays open a little later then the other nail shops in Irvington the only reason why I stepped foot in there .

So I just came from getting my nails done and the owner ( Brandon) rushed thru the whole process. He used the buffers and continuously burned my fingers without even apologizing. I am very unhappy with my nails and would never allow him to do my nails.Update 1/10/21-look how huge and bulgy they look or how close they are glued to my cuticles. You won’t see the burn marks, I’m sure you know what it feels like when you leave the buffer on one spot for long.

I’ve been coming to this nail salon for about a year and I’m now looking for a new place to get my nails done. I usually only go to Ryan because he’s the only nail tech who CONSISTENTLY does great work, the others are either a hit or miss or you’ll need a fill-in within a week. But Ryan is not worth the 3-4 hour wait. This is the 3rd time in a row I’ve come to this salon for my nails and had to leave with only my toes done. Don’t even get me started on the food and cigarette breaks while they are packed and while people are waiting. They also upcharge on their prices. So if you don’t want to spend extra money and wait unreasonable hours, avoid this place!

Services was slow and workers were distracted and rude. The lady doing my nails stopped in the middle of it to go do someones feet and when people walk through the door they have them waiting for hours and having people that just walk in are being seen. Me and my mom were there for 4 hours and she never got to get her nails done and the nail polish they used on me was old and came out looking atrocious, it was bubbly and lumpy and they had nowhere to dry the nails. 2 other customers had appointments and werent seen due to these actions taken by the salon and owners

I go because they know how to fo nails well. But they dont support the community.

I asked how much a a full set would be and I showed a pic of what I wanted . She said $130 so I changed the nail design. Then it was 100 and when I didn’t like that she said $90. I asked the owner and he said $75 so I asked if I can change technicians because I wasn’t comfortable with the situation. When she didn’t like what I said she threw my phone at me and shoot me away. Very unprofessional and no one corrected her. I left because I felt extremely disrespected and overcharged.

My mom sister and I had gel manicure and they were rushing and did not do a great job but there. pedicure was amazing. They charge a lot for Matte nails. The work was not worth what we payed

I walked in to have 2 nails repaired. An hour later I was leaving. It was packed. $15 to repair 2 nails and I even brought my own dipping powder. Had I not been in dire straights I would have left and found a different place. The tech even struggled with coffin shape.

To be honest the lady did not do a good job and I have trip coming up. I even had to continue to tell her to keep filling my nails are just hideous to look at. I know I how nails are supposed to look my usual nail person was booked so I went here recommended by a friend. I think I had a women named Amy. Honestly not everyone here is good at doing nails maybe the Brandon guy is who I should have gone with. So overall super disappointed.

Never leave reviews but I was so disappointed I feel the need to. I went here a couple days ago got there early to avoid the crowd. I sat in the chair with Peter. I asked for ombré style coffin nails using the color orange. He kept showing me a neon orange which I kept refusing, I got fed up with color he showed and just asked for a completely different style. I changed the design but still requested orange, I showed him a picture of exactly what I wanted. Not even close. The nails were pink which should’ve been clear. I also asked him to put jewels on my nails. Once he finished I said ok what about the jewels he laughs and says oh I forgot.m still charged $70. I had a flight that same day so there was no way I could’ve asked for a re-do and the owner had not yet arrived. I had to go to a nail salon down the street to have them put jewels on. I kept giving this salon a chance because when I got engaged they did my nails really good. Now it’s a wrap will never waste my money again.

I’ve been getting my nails done for over 10 years I never had a “mold fungal bacteria” infection on my nails ever. Until I started getting my nails done here by Peter. I showed it to him and he said it’s fine. And now I have another one. My whole nail is green. I will never come here again. Not too mention they aren’t honest with the prices Peter will charge you whatever he feels like charging you that day and he doesn’t do a good job to make sure your nails are secure. They starting lifting or popping off after one week. I sent my friend here before I knew how dirty they were and she hated her nails and the experience. I will never go there again and neither should you

Neat salon to do your nails .kudos to the spanish ladies there but the Chinese lady most likely the manager wife needs to go back to school to learn customer service, she is extremely RUDE and IMPATIENT. She will NEVER NEVER touch my nails or eyebrows again.you just lost a customer.

They charge you whatever they feel like, table 9 and 7 also files your nail very rough until you bleed. My nail have a bloodshot from him taking it off and my nails were burning me as he continue to file with the buffer. I would not recommend anyone here unless you want to be in pain.

Was open when ALL others were closed. I usually patronize other nail salons. I was impressed with the variety of applications Brandon could accommodate: SNS dipping powder, chrome, etc. I arrived 30 min before closing for Mani/Pedi and left 1 hour later after a Spa Gel pedicure and a full Gel Set. Competitively priced, sanitary salon, COVID protections in place. I would definitely recommend this salon for hours of service, speed and variety.

Fav place to get my nails done in Irvington. Prices vary from typical to kind of high but its worth it.

Pedicure was great. Eyebrows done by Brandon. Great. But nails !!!! I think his name is Nick. He’s the first table on the left when you walk in. My nails came out amazing! But after 1 week they started falling off 1 by 1. I am NOT happy. And I won’t be back. I take my nails very serious and he disappointed .

I heard great things about this salon from my girlfriends and I went there for 6 O’clock appointments with them today. I was put at the lady at table 9 for a fill. She was very rough with me and rushing through my whole fill, burnt my pink with the nail file, and wasn’t the shape I wanted. Didn’t ask what I wanted as to color design or shape in the beginning at all. When she finally did ask I told her I want a baby blue ombré out with white designs, she decided to choose the shape herself. She completely didn’t listen. She filled my whole nail with the blue color and put stickers designs. I was also charged $45. As to wear my girlfriend who got 4 different colors, 2 3D nails, sparkles, and fresh set of nails was as only charged $60. I wouldn’t I’m super disappointed and overcharged. I ever will return to this establishment.

It was very busy but I enjoyed it

They were very nice, clean atmosphere but my acrylic sets were rushed. The shape of the nail is correct, but the acrylic doesnt start ay the cuticle, so my fresh set looks a bit old. I asked for black gel-toes, on my big toe she put 2 coats of glitter on top. I did say stop, I just want a simple black nail her reply trust me, this will look nice. I woke up today and my nail looks distorted because of the many gel coats. Unfortunately they arent open on Sundays, so i cannot go back to get it fixed.

A horrible salon. I have been a loyal customer here for over a year but i stopped going and i could not be happier. The quality is awful. my nails would start to lift or break just after one week, when I would ask the nail tech like janie, peter, and brandon they NEVER take accountability and just blame you. Peter told me because of my job (typing on a computer) is why my nails are always breaking and lifting? Pathetic.so am I supposed to get my nails done and never touch anything ever again? IF YOU CANT DO NAILS JUST SAY THAT. Ever since i stopped going, i have not had one lifted nail. My current set has been on for 3 weeks, no lifting, beautiful shape, and sturdy as ever AND CHEAPER. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. Unprofessional and the prices are INCONSISTENT as well. If you are desperate enough to go here do NOT go to peter(poor quality and dishonest with pricing) and do not go to Brandon(rushes and inconsistent) nick and janie are OK and ryan is the most talented. But its better just go to a better salon that is honest and has more talent.

DO NOT GO HERE! I am very disappointed.The salon opens at 9:30 AM, before coming I called to ask if they had any availability which they said they did. I Then showed up at 10 AM. They had a couple people in there and asked me to take a seat and to wait a little while so I did, And then took out a specific image of nails that I wanted for my engagement photos. I asked them if they can do a 3-D design flower and they said yes. A whole hour goes by and I noticed I’m still sitting there. Me having as much patience as I do kindly still sits there. So then they call me to the table and asked me to soak off my nails. So then I think finally,.. The guy then puts my hands in a bowl of acetone and jumps to the next chair while he calls another person who came in way after me and decided to work on her whole acrylic as I’m sitting there for another hour with my hands in the acetone. So when I finally complain I get handed a nail file and told to file off my own nails. So long story short I sat in the nail salon for over two hours didn’t have any services done, filed my own nail when all I wanted was nice nails for my engagement photos.... responding to the owners reply saying soaking off takes time... if that is the case then you guys should have soaked me off when I first arrived at 10 AM not at 11:39am... then left me soaking for almost another hour. I’m sorry but it’s very unprofessional to have someone call way ahead of time and not be seeing two hours after everyone else & then I get told to file off my own acrylic because your employees couldnt. You guys are too worried about filling chairs instead of worrying about the person actually sitting in the chair. I was getting my nails done for my engagement... call ahead of time and everything and STILL got horrible service. Even after I was so patiently waiting .

I came to get my filling done. The lady rushed me and then tried to charge me extra due to the Pandemic she thought I should pay more,I feel that this is unprofessional business.She wasn’t even professional she never asked what color powder that I wanted she just started putting white powder. When I asked her to change the white power to pink powder she tried to charge me more to use the pink powder and then charge me more to takeoff the white powder that she thought that I want it on my nails.This is very unacceptable and I will never ever go back No tell anyone to go back they service is very bad.In the middle of me telling her my dissatisfaction on my nails, she leans over to her coworker and start telling her something in their language and then they both start giggling and laughing as if my money being spent isn’t good enough...............BRANDON NEEDS TO HAVE A SERIOUS TALK WITH HIS WORKERS

Ok but not very organized

For starters, what is the point of wearing a mask if youre not going to wear it properly? None of the technicians were wearing their masks. I was charged $45 for short gel acrylic nails. I thought the price for nails would increase based on shape and length. My nails are barely over my finger, why do I have to pay regular price? I wanted matte, they told me it was $45. I said I dont want matte, they told me its the same price. I said I wanted coffin, they told me it would be $50. WTH is up with these prices. LMAOOO. So overpriced then they want to charge me $2 extra since I used my card. Bye. Im not coming back. The nails were cute though. Just not what I wanted.

2 stars is generous considering what I just went through. Literally walking out of this place and it was a one and done for me. So I came here based off google reviews and requested Ryan who came up frequently. Sat down immediately (it was early, barely any customers waiting). Ryan asked me, “gel or powder?” I said Gel. Brandon (manicurist next to us) said show a photo. I did and Ryan tells me it’s powder. No problem. He proceeds with powder. He chooses this peachy color I assumed was just the base. I haven’t done acrylics in a decade so im new to this. During the nail prep he was very rough, clipped me with the nail file drill machine several times. I have 2 cuts on my finger from it. After he bases all my nails with this peachy color, I see him begin to prepare for the design I wanted. I stopped him and asked where the color I wanted was. He looks at me like this is the color. I bring up the photo again so he can see it’s absolutely the wrong color. Ryan tosses the gel polish sample nail packs in front of me and tells me to choose a color. See had I known that peachy color was the actual color I would’ve stopped him early. I can see that he was annoyed which is insane because he chose that powder, not me! So now that the powder was a waste of time he goes right over it with gel polish and completes the design which was just ok. The finished product had several flaws, not smooth, polish and acrylic on my skin, acrylic on the sides and underside of my nails, and my nails were just way too thick. I had him fix some minor issues i spotted immediately before walking out. It was just overall a NO for me. Not going back.

Pros : Jamie did an amazing job with my acrylic ombré matte nails. Came out just as I wanted. She’s majority of the reason why I gave 4stars.Cons: they nickel and dime the EFF out of you. Instead of using clear gel I asked for matte gel and they charged an extra $5. I paid it because I wanted matte but this is the only place I’ve ever paid extra for matte.Also, on my toes I got gel as well and the lady put three coats but was cheaply putting small amount and because of that my toes don’t have the best finish. Disappointing.If it weren’t for Jamie’s attention to detail, providing a great service, getting my shape right and great results over all I would have given this a two star.

Best experience I’ve had in a long time! Tony does the best pedicure.... Brandon did my nails and when I tell you he took his time and shaped them just the way i wanted. Definitely worth the trip and yes I will be back... Thank you

Always mega busy on the weekends. Early week days are the best times to go to avoid the large crowds. My tech is Janie and she does such a lovely job. But there are other technicians who are bomb too.

Service was excellent. I came in, was addressed quickly about what I would like, was then told only waited maybe 5 minutes. Kevin assisted me he was nice and took his time on my nails and corresponded with me about how I’d like them. My nails turned out beautiful even while trying a new style. I am new to the area and was worried about finding a new nail salon that was good. I am happy and will be returning on the regular to see Kevin. Thank you!

Only Brian does my nails and I always leave satisfied with the work he does! He always knows exactly what I want, my nails come out beautifully done, and I always get compliments on my nails! Sometimes my nails are soo nice, I hold off on getting a fill-in when my nails grow because I don’t want to let the design go! Excellent customer service, talented technicians, and a clean salon! But try and go on days where they’re not super busy and it’s not too crowded. Then again, they’re one of the few salons that are actually really good, give quality work and they do try to get customers in and out as quickly as possible. The only nail salon for me!

Moved from NYC to Jersey n this is the best nail salon Ive been to since moving to Jersey. Brandon is amazing and a perfectionist! I went a few days before my birthday and everyone loves my nails.. The staff are polite! This is my new spot. Thanks Brandon!

The first time I came here was good news. Even though it was busy the lady made my nails so pretty that everyone talked about it and I did eye brow which was done so neatly.. I told everyone about Brandon nail and spa but the second time I came, it wasn’t busy at all and still my nails was done so bad. I kept on telling the girl ( think her name is veronica) that the nails were not dry yet but she yelled at me later on that it was dry cos she wanted to rush to the next customer. I assumed she was stressed and with good faith, proceeded to eyebrow waxing. The woman did it so bad and chopped off all my hair. I asked for the young lady that helped me the first time I came but Brandon himself said something in his language about me asking for ‘young lady’. I asked what was wrong with asking for young lady, he later opted to do my eyebrow which wasn’t so good cos the first woman already chopped off my hair. They were so rude and they don’t even care about their customers’ feeling. I spent $57 dollars there so I don’t expect to be treated like I did everything for free. All the same, if you want to be treated well, don’t go to this place! I had to start looking for another spa to have my nails done again and of course have to wait for 2 weeks for my eyebrow to grow again so I can have a better wax at a friendly place.

Brandons new business is very nice. Lots of young workers that knows all the new styles trending for our nails. They dont mind taking $5 off or so when u get a lot done at once. He also does phenomenal eye lashes. Very professional. U sign in to keep organization to despute conflicts of whos waiting next. Plenty of pedicure chairs. Good job to Brandon and his workers. Jamie (his female cousin) does great nails as well.

DONT GO HERE !!!!!! I went here to get my eyebrows done and this Hispanic lady did my eyebrows zigzag..they were so messed up it looked like a wiggly line then I call the own over his name is Brandon and he fixes it but now my eyebrow is thin af looking like the 90s. So then he goes to do the other one and waxes it too low and now I constantly look like Im raising 1 eyebrow.. also while Im getting my eyebrow destroyed the Hispanic lady daughter is touching my ears.. I started crying..worst experience ever. All the employees came to look at my eyebrows and started laughing . Im so mad yall...never have I ever had my eyebrows so jacked up. And of course they didnt care 🙄😒😑

To be fair I was already aggravated when I walked into this place. I was at another salon down the street and waited for a while with no one acknowledging my presence. Anyway, when I walked in it was already packed. I sat down and waited for about 15 minutes before they sat me in the pedicure chair. I was soaking my feet and waiting for the next person to work on my feet. At the 30 minute mark of soaking I start to become annoyed. Another customer came in, and they immediately started her pedicure! WTF?!!! So after 45 minutes of soaking my feet and a total wait time of an hour. I walked out with wrinkly toes and ashy feet with no pedicure. Ill never go there again....

I was so happy to find this amazing salon. Great service, super clean, friendly and courteous. They are professional and dedicated to their job. My nails look great and feel amazing! I will certainly be back :D all way happiness

Just dont go here for a simple manicure. Im sure they do acrylics well so if you go for that you may not have any issues. The next day my polish started chipping. I know manicures arent supposed to last that long but I dont think it should take a day for it to chip and peel. I will however give this place another try when Im getting tips or gel. Hopefully itll be a better more lasting outcome.

If I could give no stars I would. After calling the salon and asking about a design, the attendant who answered specifically said they can do “any design you see online.” When I arrived the open chair could no do the design. I waited an HOUR for another nail tech who said that he could not do it either. I went to the same lady who answered the phone and she stated that the design is a sticker and they could not do it. 1. When I walked through the door they could have saved me a lot of time and patience. 2. I wanted a simple flower drawn on my nail. 3. Why promise any design then. Crowded salon, no consideration for costumers and low quality service. Sorry I am not a high school student I expect adult talent 💅🏽

All of the employees have great customer service. Alllll of the nail technicians know how to do nails. The prices are great. I already recommended 2 people and they love the nail shop. I always leave satisfied. The only downside is parking, there is little to none. Overall, this is a great nail shop to go to if your looking for bomb results : )

They do good nails, I love my nails. The lady fixed my nails to the real coffin shape when Princess Nails downtown Newark messed them up. I recommend you to go to Brandon Nails and Spa for sure for your nails !!!

You will never be disappointed with your nails or services. They know how to truly treat their customer and always make sure that you leave the salon full of contentment. I recommend Brandon, he take his time and is very precise.

The experience wasnt too bad. At first I was annoyed because the Brandon was doing my nails and kept stopped to direct the guy next to him on what color to pick for a customer. But after that he focused on me and got my nails done. The only reason I gave three out of five stars is because my design has already started to fall off and it hasnt even been 5 hours yet. Im going to a wedding on SATURDAY which means the design wont last. Very disappointing!!

Terrible service. They did a good job on our nails, but they messed up my daughters lashes . When she complained, Brandon the owner wanted to argue with her instead of just refunding her money. I will NEVER go there again. They lost 2 customers over 10.00.EDIT: Thank you for your response but thats a lie. He NEVER advised her not to use strips... she and I both use strips and they have never come off the very next day. We came in at about 8 pm, went home, and she woke up to her lashes off. We came right back the very next morning. He did offer to put them back on, but like my daughter said, he had already messed them up once, why would she let him do them again instead of just taking her money and going to the person who usually does them? There is no sign in your salon that says NO REFUND, if there was, maybe I could understand more. But my biggest issue was Brandons attitude when we brought this to his attention. He was VERY rude. Again, our nails were nice and I had told my daughter yall would be my new nail spot. But spending over 100.00 there, then coming back and being spoken to so rudely over 10.00 left me not wanting to return. Plus we went with the same lashes to our usual spot (which was closed the night before) and they put the lashes on with no issues and they lasted close to a week. If he had warned us about the strips, no way we would have insisted he do them anyway, we would have just waited and went elsewhere.

First time going there and ...They arent your modern up to date mail salon but they have great customer service ... they play todays music from what I heard and they play the news for you... the lady that did my toes and nails was very patient and listened to what I wanted and did her job +She made sure I was satisfied.Loved my experience thereThe massage chairs are so comfortable omgThe only thing is they told me a proce on the phone and a different one when I went to go pay it was a different one without expressing whyBut besides thatI loved my experience I will go back and ask why the price change.Everything was cleaned they have a good variety of colorsNo parking you will have to come very early or look for parking for about 5-15 minutes .
