I had a blown head gasket so my car was towed to the Shop. I did everything through phone and text! Ive visited this location twice within the last month and completely regret not visiting sooner!! Josh and Zach were ABSOLUTELY amazing!! I was dealing with an issue on my car for almost a year, 2 other establishments could not resolve and kept brushing off. First visit here and it was completely resolved!! Not only are they knowledgeable, and have great customer service, they work in a very timely manner. This is def my go-to place going forward.
Here is what happened. I took my vehicle for oil change and inspection. They told it will be an hour or 1.5 hours. Until after 2 hours and calling multiple times, they responded that texted me saying oil is leaking and wanted $835 to fix because of dripping oil pan. There was no oil spill before and how it started all of sudden. I am not sure what caused suddenly oil to . Somehow I didn’t feel comfortable to get my vehicle serviced there. I went and picked up my vehicle.
They offer a 3 year package on wheel-alignment for a discounted price. It is a scam, don’t go for itOnce you paid for 3-year, they don’t care at all. Every-time, they tell a reason to avoid doing the work or tell that some other axle is blocking them from working the alignment.I went back after a few months and they told nothing about any blocking and they did the alignment. But when i asked them for a report of the alignment, they say their printer doesn’t work.Its all very shady every time and I never had a satisfactory experience here even with their responses. I will not return here

Car was making hella ungodly sound while idle in drive that my ears couldnt tolerate for one more day and Drivers Edge had a open bay. These guys came outside, popped the hood, started the engine and heard my complaint, then agreed to fix it same day for a reasonable price within a reasonable wait time. Couldnt be happier with the results.
Zero star for me.So, I got a new battery couple of days back for my Lexus Rx-350 from Drivers edge and then the very next day while getting car serviced by Sewell Lexus, I was informed the new battery had a bad cell, and was not charging and I should get it replaced as it was still under warranty.Upon visiting Drivers Edge to get the bad battery replaced, I was told the alternator is bad and needs to be replaced and it would set me back by 1200$. They also offered me an option of using an online discount coupon worth 100$ only when I said I would like to get the alternator checked by Sewell Lexus.I checked back with sewell and confirmed if the alternator was bad ? They confirmed the diagnostics they ran did not find any problems with the alternator and the battery was the problem. I spoke to Drivers Edge and explained the issue, if the alternator was indeed bad the red battery light on the dash would be on, which was not.After talking to Drivers edge over the phone, This particular gentlemen was arguing at first and finally agreed to put in a new battery but also said he cannot cover warranty on the battery as the alternator is the problem. I was definitely not expecting this. I think this was more of lack of customer service experience of the individual with whom I was speaking as he soon seemed to realize his mistake and agreed to cover the warranty. But you know words spoken once cannot be taken back, experience gone sour once cannot be made sweeter.I offered them the option that they refund my 260$ and take out the battery so that I could get a new one from sewell - lexus. Finally, Drivers edge did agree to put in a new battery and said they would cover the warranty of the battery, which only time will tell.So, I guess the point here is when Drivers edge put in the battery why did they not say the alternator was bad ? Why did they leave me with a false status everything was ok? How sewell lexus not find fault with the alternator ? I mean, Sewell lexus would have been happy to replace the alternator and charge few bucks won’t they ? I will take the pain and revisit Sewell lexus and check the condition of the battery and alternator again but definitely not going back to Drivers edge as I did not see any transparency when they changed the battery and a gave false status that things were ok. Definitely not a very pleasant experience.

Was going to charge me 700 dollars to put in a alternator. 700 freaking dollars, talking about 2 hour labor. This is why i don’t deal with shops like this. It doesn’t take 2 hours to put on a alternator. Won’t ever be going back here I don’t care if it’s the last shop on earth.

My Check Engine light came on during a road trip home. Went immediately to my Drivers Edge location at LBJ/MacArthur.Lance, the manager and Richard scheduled me right in and diagnosed a major problem with the catalytic converter. Not only did they walk me through the process to my full understanding they had the job completed that day. Lance drove me home while they worked on my car and picked me up 7 hrs later.My vehicle purrs!! She’s an old girl but now has plenty of life left. So happy with the professionalism, care and quality work at this garage. Best part you can make a fresh cup of coffee in a clean and tidy waiting room!Well done Drivers Edge!!

My cousin first went here and was just blown away with how great everyone here is. So I decided to give them a try as well, and man was he right. They check everything and will talk to you about any issues they find. The real kicker here is if you tell them you aren’t interested in the extra services today they don’t push it. I’ve never seen a place like this that doesn’t make it seem like life or death to get everything fixed at once. They are very understanding and I will definitely be using them for future services from here on.
This is my go to place for state inspection, general maintenance and other questions for my 2014 Jeep Cherokee. I usually go on Saturdays so they are slammed and I end up waiting for hours (depending on the services needed) but I am ok with that trade-off since that is the only day possible. Their rates are usually cheaper than dealership in my opinion. If your car doesnt need a particular service, they will be honest about it and not just try to upsell a service. Would definitely recommend.

Growing up in a mechanic shop with my uncle taught me a few things. And one of them is honest and good pricing for labor and parts. Coming from out of town scared me to use a mechanic I didn’t know but this shop Drivers Edge know what they’re doing and have realistic pricing. The guys are friendly and polite. I would definitely use them again.

It was my BMWs rear door glass that wouldnt go up/close. I could hear the sound of the motor when I press the button but the glass is stuck at the bottom. I was first charged $75+tax for half hour labor to check and let me know what is the problem. And then, next working day I get a call saying I will need to replace window motor and regulator and the estimate given was around ~500 for motor + ~300 for regulator and another ~300 for labor. A whopping total of $1100. I understood something is fishy. When I asked that the motor might be good because I could hear the sound of the motor and the reply was the regulator and motor come together. I got my car back without any further repair and checked myself. Found that it was just a regulator that was broken. The cable in the regulator was stuck badly and broke. Got a premium regulator from Amazon for $70 (OEM product was around $150). Was in hurry and the cheaper one was available in 1 day delivery option. It worked like a charm and all is done in $70.. I was so disappointed with their service and the wrong information and so expensive service. $81 and my time spent with them was a complete waste and they also broke few knobs when they opened the door. I will have to buy them new to get exact fitting. Such a shame on these guys. I have photos taken of myself repairing the window and the product purchase details for any evidence or details required. I am never visiting them back and anyone visiting be aware of they ripping off your wallet. And to help you they will push thier finance schemes as well if you cannot afford their repair price.

Went for oil change, seems they overfilled and dropped oil all over engine and when i went to get the car they showed me bottom of the car and said there is oil leak. there was no oil leak before oil change. never gonna go there for any service again.

Real quick service and great customer service. They were able to order a special part from a dealership and install it in 2 hours. They even finished 30 min ahead of the time they quoted me.
They are very nice and professional, however they don’t get four or five stars because of the pricing. They charged me 2.4 hours of labor and yet they called me to receive permission to do the work and then to tell me it was finished in 1:40. The charge needs to be for the work done. It cost me nearly $150 extra.
On what was obviously a very busy Saturday I took in my car for rear breaks that had begun to grind. Despite the business, I did receive my car before the end of day, and while I was there waiting for finalization had a great conversation with the manager who professionally aided other clients in that time as well.All in all very professional, thorough in explaining the issues, and then of course as prompt as could be in fixing them.
Brought my truck here when it wasn’t starting. They replaced the starter with a refurbished one. They guaranteed their work for 24 months. After 3 months it was having the same problems. Called and they said bring it in and if the problem is the starter, they will replace it for free. Ok cool. Did this 3 more times. They continued to say it was a “faulty starter” every time and replaced it again and again and again.I only continued to bring it here because the replacements were free. After the third replacement didn’t work I called my actual mechanic. Problem was never the starter but batteries in the key fob dying and not allowing the vehicle to start. Spent 700$ and over 12 hours sitting in the waiting room for a $6.99 at-home fix.Starter #2 lasted 3 months. Starter #3 lasted 2 weeks. Starter #4 lasted 2 days. “Faulty starter” every time, huh??? How about actually finding the problem?? They don’t do that here.
I wish I knew the guys name who worked with me, but he was really nice and it went above and beyond to help me out. As someone in sales, I appreciate good service and I really feel like you can elevate someone’s experience. That’s what I got when I went into driver‘s edge today.
Sowed up at 8am without an appointment, team was able to fit me in for an oil change, tire rotation and allginment. After 3 hours car was not finished (I didnt have an appointment so I understood these things take time) so I found a ride home. Picked up my car a few hours later, new front personal, had no knowledge of my services performed, was not briefed at turnover, etc. Confirmed services were performed, paid and left. After leaving discovered that oil life was not reset and new sticker was not added to vehicle.TL, DR: Good price, ok turnaround time, but could improve on communicating info between team members.Update: 3/18/21 I changed my rating to 5 Stars. My communication with the team was excellent this time. A ride was arranged to get me home after dropping off my vehicle (a nice touch) and it was fixed and ready same day.

I has Motor Vehicle Inspection and flat tire fixed. I enjoyed the experience and satisfied with the professional service provided . Very professional and got me out in less than 45 min.
I went there for State inspection and door lock fix. They started working on it, suggested few other things like coolant change and brake alignment etc. I accpeted. Then they finished other suggestions and did not do the main things I went for. They said they dont have spare part to fix my door lock and they cannot do state inspection because their printer was not working. And I was end up in paying 357 dollars for those extra things.
Rico was friendly and helpful, and only charged me for the bare minimum. He was open and honest about how I should save money, and never pushed me to do anything unnecessary. A great experience. Ill definitely come back if I need any more work done.

I had overheating issues back in January. They were fair, very kind and took care of me. 2 weeks ago it was doing it again and they put in another thermostat free of charge. It started overheating again and they found the problem was an air pocket in the coolant thing and only charged me for the part. I cannot not express enough how much I recommend this place. I work down the road and decided to try them out. This will be the only place I bring my vehicle from now on. The mechanic and manager are very friendly and fair. I never felt cheated or told there was more wrong with my car. Thank you guys!

This business is a scam with totally unprofessional people. I went with high expectations and asked for quote. They called back with a quote which was 3X anywhere else I had ever seen, so I asked not to do any work on the car. Went back to get my car and they charged $100 for oil change and tyre rotation. Dont know if they did any work on the car. totally unprofessional people and the prices suggest that the operations is a scam.

Very bad service. If you go there, you will regret.I took my car to the driver’s edge auto service for a diagnosis on a sound. The mechanic said sound is coming from the power steering pump, need to be replaced. He gave me a quote to replace the power steering pump for $631.99 and $149 labor Charge. He mentioned he will buy the parts from AutoZone the total charge was $911.07. I came home and checked the price at AutoZone, was $163 . I called the shop and I ask why is he charging me $631.99 for the parts? He explained there are other miscellaneous parts needed to complement the steering pump replacement. I agree to the charge. I did not get a Call from them so I called them at 5 o’clock to learn the status of the car repair. he said the car is ready. When I went to the shop he said the car is still making Noise. They replace the power steering pump from Napa auto parts. The guy name Richard/Rich left for the day and he cannot be reached. I will have to pay to get the car that is still making noise and bring it back tomorrow Or come back next day. I decided to leave the car so I can talk to Rich. why did he replaced the parts from Napa not from AutoZone And why the car is still making noise. The next day Rich called me around 12 o’clock and said AC compressor is bad making minor noise, need placement.So, the car was miss diagnosed with power steering pump, Which is $163 at AutoZone. I end up paying $911 and the car is still making noise.Totally dishonest Person, bad service. Completely unsatisfied customer.
FAST, FAST and FAST!!! I had my annual inspection here. They had me in and out in under 30 minutes. Very friendly, answered all of my questions and wonderful customer service. Did I mention these guys are fast? A+++ service!
TERRIBLE!!... I was told one thing needed to fix.. Some how another thing needed to be fix after the car was already diagnosed.. Plus they are over priced.. None the less they will fix it after taking your arm and leg..

Ive been going here for many years. I went here today to get a state inspection done as Ive been working the past two weeks straight and will be working the next three weeks. Their hours seem to have changed and they are not open on Sundays. I had only today to get it done. Rocco/Rico who is the guy in the front and the acting manager.... absolute horrible customer service. Rude, inefficient, discriminatory and walked away from me, and said that I can go somewhere else if I dont like it. Well I did. City Garage just a couple miles down the road and you know what they were just as busy.... got got seen in 2 mins and got out with inspection done and paid within 45 mins (and for $25!). Found a great place to take care of my car. Will NEVER go back to Drivers Edge after 9 years of using them pretty exclusively.

I have been going there for the pass 3 years and every time I go in, there is someone different. The customer service has improved alot. Im not sure what this store has such a high turnover. The location is excellent.

***This is an update (Feb 2020)I went into Drivers Edge today to get bulb(s) replaced, in a different car than the last time 😊. Anyway, a newer manager, Nash, helped me this time. And can I just say he was nice just to be nice, which is greatly appreciated especially after having a rough day. Anyway, not only did I go there within about 35 minutes of closing time; he made sure the job was done quickly & without the pocket crushing costs. I was out within a matter of minutes. Ive not had a bad customer experience on any of my visits to D.E. Kudos once again guys. Keep it up!!(2019)Great service. Went in for state inspection was assisted by Connor on Monday. Had to get a few bulbs replaced and although it was a bit pricey for the labor costs (which Im sure is set by corporate) Connor was very helpful when I found out there was a defect in pair of wiper blades Id recently purchased from auto parts store. Had to go back the next day, Tuesday, because of another light that was out and was assisted by Matt, who was just as friendly and helpful. The 4 stars is for some of the costs. Give those guys 5 stars for their fast, friendly service!!
Just had my car repaired for the first time at this location today and the personnel and management were exceptional. I originally thought my estimate was high but after comparing it to my local repair shop it was more than fair. Being as close it is to my current job I will DEFINITELY usethis location again. Horrible experience. They wanted us to pay $90 for an alignment, $90 for a supposed tire rod we need, AND $150 for the labor of doing this. All we wanted was an alignment and they come up with this. Before you decide on anything here at this place,get a second opinion because who knowThe guy who helped out today, 04/27, after he was told we couldnt pay for that simply yelled out to the guys to take the car down in a rude you -wasted- my- time kind of tone. On top of that there was no hospitable service. It makes me very sad for anyone else who goes through this. Honestly yall. Go elsewhere if you can.

Going there for almost 10 years. Last month, got a vehicle inspection and inquired about my steering. Last year, it was rack and pinion that was probably going to need some work This year, no problems found. Funny enough, steering has same problem I asked about. Inspection done, told I was good to roll, heres the papers. Today, I was getting ready to finally get registration and finally looked at my papers, emissions test failed. No notice, no comments, no suggestions about what was wrong. Gave them 3 days for my inspection and maintenance and had an agreed upon time of noon on day three. Car wasnt ready until 5:30 that night. 5 HOURS LATE. Now, its been 3 weeks so I am past my inspection repair time frame of 15 days. My own fault for not checking the paperwork but when told everything was good to go, I expected that. Great work guys. Good luck treating customer in the future, maybe youll keep a long-time customer aside from me.
I am absolutely thankful for Darren! He is very knowledgeable! He really cares about the customer as a family and making sure they understand the issue with their car and what is needed to fix it. Always look ONLY for Darren if you want to get anything done in Drivers Edge as he can be trusted. I got my wheel alignment done which Darren himself aligned it correctly whereas the mechanics and the other front desk person mentioned it cannot be done. Darren, a poet amongst mechanics. A savant of the industry. Repairs that I need will always be done here. Being a faithful customer paid off too because I was borrowing my Nanas truck to help a friend move and her brake light was out. I went in and asked how long the wait was, explaining my situation that I just didnt want to get pulled over, and he had me pull around and had one of his guys take the 5 minutes to fix the light instead of having me wait the hour wait they currently had.
