I have rented cars all my life and this is the first place that makes you provide your full coverage proof upfront. Closet sized location in the Hilton and only one person working. Thankfully I had a reservation and had not paid yet, so I left. Will never do business with such a company in the future.
Never rent from here!!!! Booked through Hotwire and verified on their site they have a shuttle, which in fact they do not. They tell you to use the Hilton hotel shuttle and their rep Gabby mentioned it cost them money to get their own, so you’ll have to wait for Hilton shuttle to run, which is every hour. Gabby was very rude and unprofessional. She stated information on 3rd party sites was not their problem, however I found the same info on their website. The car was an old smokers car and wasn’t clean. I will never rent from this company again.
DONT RENT from ECONOMY. Worst car rental company. I rent cars all the time with no issues. This company needs to conduct some user-centered design (look it up Economy-- best companies apply this method) and change their business practices. Way too restrictive and ask for too many unreasonable requests (charge limited miles for local use). I walked out because they changed their terms on me. I will never rent from here again.

DO NOT RENT HERE! If I could rank this negative stars, I would. We rented from the SNA/OC location. Here’s why, warning there is a lot to take in:We spent 20 minutes driving around looking for it, then I called the phone number and asked where it was located and gave the address I had, I was told the wrong address for the wrong airport, Asked again where the SNA office is located and I told the address. I asked to be connected to the office branch and was hung up on.Economy Rental INSIDE the Hilton and they have zero signage identifying this. When the people in front of us mentioned this, and I said, “we had the same problem”, and were both told, “oh well”. Clearly they do not care about customer satisfaction.Also, their “office” is not staffed during the stated office hours. Rather, some front desk agent meets you around the time you have a reservation. If you are delayed or arrived early, expect a headache. It’s 40 minutes after we arrived and we still aren’t checked in, so don’t expect to have a expedited experience.The front desk agent was clueless, uninformed, and argumentative. What you “save” in rates, you’ll make up in frustration and also have to pay a full security deposit on your CC. If you state you have insurance coverage, expect to provide the written language explaining your coverage.I can’t wait to see what sort of issues we have when we return the car.tl;dr RENT ELSEWHERE AND SAVE YOURSELF A NIGHTMARE
This by far would be the service i have ever seen. We ended up losing our money, wasting 2 hours, and ultimately rebooking with another service.
In arriving to John Wayne (SNA) and looking up car rentals, we found Economy. In waiting for their shuttle to come to the airport, we reached out to the branch, to which they said they operate on an every 10-mins. schedule. We waited for 40-mins. for a shuttle to come around. We saw other companies making 3-trips within that time span, which left a bad taste in my mouth. We called again, and they said they were dispatching a shuttle. After another 20-mins. we gave up, and went with another service.
