Made an apt to have some work done. They Called and told me work was just about done on my car and gave me a price. When i got there to pick up the car they werent close to being done must be because it was $250.00 more than what i was quoted because something else needed to be changed.Purchased tires there. Went back to have them rotated and had a tire waring and wanted them to check see why and align if it needed. They rotated tires without even noticing the ware. Front desk lady is snooty.

I had an unexpected flat tire that required towing to Discount Tire in Ionia. The staff was friendly. The staff quickly fixed my tire knowing that I had to get back to work. I appreciated their friendly and fast service.

Went here to get a tire balanced and they couldnt seem to make sure all my lug nuts made it back on my vichael and then proceeded to tell me that it was my fault they missed a lug nut and told me that if I wanted free stuff to get on welfare. Not good service will take my hard earned money else where.

I was told by them my car needed a new motor! Towed it to another mechanic for a second opinion. My car DID NOT needed a new motor: Got it fixed and it’s fine now. Do not recommend. They should not tell their customers their car needs a new engine without being sure!!!

I give 5 stars because my only complaint is they didnt return my oil to me that was left over out of my 5gal bucket. They kept 2 gallons of oil. Got us in for an oil change and tire rotation before a big trip. Price was reasonable and they got it done faster than they quoted.

They did front end alignment. Yesterday morning on our Jeep. My husband noticed it felt funny while driving got out and noticed that one of the camber bolts was out on driver side. So he called them and they were very rude. Refused to show print out and denied ever touching it. Accused us of leaving a bolt lose. Will never go back their again.

I got tires from them and always have, I got tires from them a month ago and today my tire fell off. I called and was calm since no one was hurt and the lady I talked to was completely rude and was yelling at me. Asking me if the tire was actually off my hummer and then accused me of taking the tire off myself. I will never use this place again to get tires.

My my elderly mother was frightened by a tire caution light during extremely cold weather. From another city I was able to direct her to DT Ionia and they met her at the door, took care of her tire issue and had her out the door within a half hour. There’s nothing like kind and caring customer service to a scared older person. Many Kudos and thanks to your staff!

None of employees wore a mask. I was very disappointed since it is Governors orders to wear a mask. They should be concerned how others feel and their well being. Covid is really. Had tires rotated and oil change. On itemized bill, charged me over 8.00 on windshield washer fluid. I just filled my washer fluid the prior day. When I brought up charge they said they could take it off, but it would be the same amount charged. I stated they lost my business. I Just bought 3 sets of tires within the last year. Later that day, received a voicemail of them stating they talked to their employee and he stated my wiper fluid was full. They offered me 8.00 credit....sorry did you not get my memo, You lost my business.

Got a oil changes that was very fast, but asked if they could see why my engine light was on and he was like sure come back out and said we have it hooked up but that will be an additional 20.00 because they have to bring the machine out and hook it up .I told him to just forget about it because thats a little over the top to go hook it up then say its additional 20.00 . Auto zone will do it for free .my whole point is dont hook up sometime first then say its an additional charge when the customer should know before hand...

They told me they couldnt line my truck up ball joints for bad I took her to the GM dealership there was nothing wrong with it by ball joints so I dont know what their problem was and what they want to charge me was way over the way way over priced

The prices on used tires jumped right up. Went to get one tried giving me a tire that was the wrong size and still wanted 50 for it.

Melted a bushing out of my shock with a torch, truck sat funny and clunked, was very dangerous. Claimed they couldnt align it without 1,100 worth of calipers and wheel bearings. Blundy-Hoppes aligned it just fine with no additional parts.Dishonest, slimy, and negligent

Wow this place is awesome! Jared,Rachel and the gang always do a great job, always honest and fair to all their costumers. They treat everyone like family, I have never had them tell me anything is wrong with my car unless it was very important, I feel very safe bringing my car here!

I always thought of this place as tires only. But they do alot! I had them look at my muffler, hood latch, and gas lines. And they told me upfront that the muffler would be cheaper to fix at their competitor, which impressed me.Also, they have the nicest bathroom i have ever seen in any mechanic s shop ! Putting the effort in made me like the place even more!

Martin and Allison are the best they can speak spanish and are always willing to help out

John, Jared and the family treat everyone as if you one of there personal family. They fix your car, truck etc. As they give. If the have to get a part or tires for your vehicle they have they the next afternoon. I am proud to say the a fantastic group of people. I always go to them first in Ionia .

RUN. To anywhere else. This is possibly the most unethical business I’ve ever encountered. They overcharge, underdeliver and straight up lie. After failing to properly balance the tires of two cars three times (finally getting close the third try) they refunded for the balancing. They swapped my husbands tires and completely destroyed the bead in his perfectly good winter tires. They claim things are wrong with your vehicle when the parts that are “wrong” aren’t even on the vehicle. They claimed the tires they ruined were dry rotted and had less than 25% tread, while we’ve verified with other places and they admitted that the tires are not in fact dry rotted, and the lowest tire tread is 55%, the average of all four is 71%. They claimed I screamed at them in the shop, but I recorded the conversation and not once yelled or screamed at anyone. They claimed to have given us $50 more than we spent, but only gave us $20 in gas for driving over 160 miles back and forth. We even filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau yet they still refuse to replace what they ruined and blatantly lied in their response. They claim that offering a discount to buy new tires with them (at full price, they’re still profiting) is making it right. The owners son and daughter are truly rude and unprofessional and the owner doesn’t even know what’s going on- his words. Literally Walmart is more honest. Plus they charge way less (for comparison’s sake). Go somewhere where the mechanics, techs, anyone working on your vehicle KNOWS WHAT THEY’RE DOING. The ones at Discount certainly don’t. As a business they should be doing the right thing, rather than being petty and lying as they are. DON’T GO HERE!!!!

Ive taken my vehicles there for years. Theyve taken care of me and treat me right. I enjoy watching their fish swim around their tank too!!!

Ive really only been here for tire rotations so far. Theyre always able to get me through quickly. The techs actually check the lug nut torque and they are careful with soft aluminum rims.

Very helpful guys! My trailblazer was a pain in the butt to deal with, but they were very polite and easy to work with!

They never did fixed my car due to them ordering the part for a total of 4 times but still charged me anyway for taking apart my car just to tell me they are sorry they ordered the wrong part again.

Ordered 4 mastercraft avenger touring tires to be installed on 8-22-2014. They were installed and a year later I got a sidewall puncture and needed a new tire. When I looked at the tire I noticed that they gave me the cheeper 92 h rated tire instead of the 92 t that I ordered(60000 mile tread life instead of 80000). I called them and they were no help. I had the invoice but they said they dont keep any records that would help me. All of the other times I have used them for tires I was pleased with the service.

Called ahead to schedule front brake pad & rotor replacement for later that day, quoted $320. They get my car into the shop and tell me that my calipers are completely seized up and shot and need replacement- now a total of $750.Keep in mind that I drive a well-kept newer model sedan with 80k miles.They tell me that my car is so bad they don’t even want me to drive it home and will give me a loaner to use overnight until the calipers arrive in the morning.I start calling around and got three other quotes for my make and model of $530, $520 and $450. Discount Tire & Battery wouldn’t budge on the price, so I obviously took the “risk” to drive it elsewhere to save $300.Turns out that my calipers didn’t even need replaced. The shop that did the work (my family has gone there for years- very reliable, just a little far from my house) said the current calipers were “smooth as butter”, while the tech at DT&B said there was no way he could get the piston in and out to do the pads and rotors. Ended up spending a grand total of $277 on pads and rotors instead of the $750 DT&B said I needed to spend.TL;DR: Stay away from this shop unless you enjoy being taken advantage of and want to spend unnecessary money.
