I had the most amazing experience with this company. I use them for several plumbing issues but this time was an even better experience as Miguel Campos was so very helpful through the entire process. I highly recommend using this company for all your plumbing needs.

Woke up to a leaking water heater. Roto Rooter along with their amazing restoration team were at my home within an hour.I had a new water heater and the water was cleaned up within hours by the fantastic Sam. Miguel even took time to help with my insurance claim. Couldn’t ask for better customer service!! You guys truly rocked it today!!

Every time they came to my place they kept adding more & more work that needed to be done. They tore out more stuff to my place than what needed to be done & what they said. Also they tried to charge me twice for something. This company is just money hungry & dont care about their customers. One night they needed to get there equipment & it wasnt a good night for us, b/c we had plans. They demanded they get it that night. We did agree on a time they could come, but they were almost an hour late. We almost left & was about to say they can come a different day & time. This company isnt professional & dont every use them unless you want to pay more than what they say at the beginning & tare up your place more than what needs to be done. All this company cares about is money, money, money.

At our business we had our women’s restroom toilet get clogged down into the pipes right at the end of a long day of theatre productions. It shut down every stall in the restroom. I immediately got a hold of Roto-Rooter via phone at 9pm on a Friday and we were setup for first thing in the morning on a Saturday! I thought for sure we wouldn’t get service until Monday, but they pulled through! Our guy was Kyle and he was great and knowledgeable. He was also fast! He had us up and running again in less than 30 minutes.

The actual guy who did the work was fine (ZO), as was Noah who was summoned to do clean up work by mistake because someone from your company lied about the insurance coverage. The salesman for water damage was too high pressured and did not tell the truth. The salesman for excavation wasnt exactly dishonest, but he also was too high pressured. Single elderly women are not dumb. We like to investigate and process information like all other intelligent people. It was overkill and this approach did not bode well with me.

Very happy with the service and professionalism from everyone at Roto-Rooter. Our sump pump stopped working during a week of very heavy rain, which caused an overflow of about 2 inches of water into our basement. From the field supervisor that first came out (and was here on a Saturday within 30 minutes of my initial call), to the service techs that did the water extraction, to the plumber that came and replaced the sump pump, we have been extremely satisfied from start to finish.

The men who were sent out did an excellent job. Van was exceptionally polite and efficient. He explained what he was doing and checked to be sure the problems were fixed before he left the house.We’re very satisfied with this company.

My sump pump motor died. I called RR and Tina answered. She was knowledgeable and sent a tech out within the hour at no charge. The tech was able to install a new motor and backup motor that day. He was professional and knowledgeable. He was done in 3 hours and cleaned up after himself. I have a 5 year warranty on the motor and a 1 year warranty on the labor. They have a high labor cost but they are worth it and deserve it. I could not do what he did. He cleaned out the bottom of my sump pump pit and the smell almost took me out of this world. If I had this career, I would ask to be paid what I am worth as well.

The technician was polite and professional. However, he was a bit late. He was there for an hour and a half and installed a new garbage disposal and the company charged me $727, which I thought was high. However, I was contacted by the owner who was very helpful and explained the pricing and gave me 20% off the total price. He was very understanding and compassionate. I would recommend them and I will probably use them in the future.

Expensive but the repairman was very skilled and fast. Next time I will probably shop around and get prices.

Roto-Rooters came into the grocery store I work at and fixed a major issue we had with the loading dock drain holding water. They fixed the problem in a matter of a few hours and saved us from a lot of headaches. They were knowledgeable of the issue and our equipment.

My technician showed up in a timely manner to fix our outdoor faucet that they installed three years ago. The faucet never worked properly, and we just made do. This summer though we wanted to get it fixed so that our son could use a sprinkler. The tech was friendly, but he said that all he needed to do was go to a store and buy a part. The part was one that screwed on and off the top of the faucet, which was all that needed to be done to fix the problem. That was fine until I asked how much it would cost. At first he told me $450 plus the part! To unscrew the pressure valve and screw in a new one! He then said $250 plus the part! I understand that he should be paid for his time and effort, but that is insane for a job that took all of 10 minutes. I told him that I would wait and do it myself, and he said that he would just charge me a diagnosis fee of $130 and fix it. Being that he had told me all about his pregnant wife and how they need money, I hesitantly agreed to the price even though it is still an absurd amount for a job that literally anyone could do. Keep in mind that this is something that was faulty when they installed it the first time for well over $300. I do not understand their pricing and it seems that they try to get the most money possible out of customers.

Im editing my review based on follow up experiences with Roto-Rooter. Their service and process for replacing my water heater was unprofessional, dangerous, and misinformed. Their recommendations were not only dangerously incorrect, but also resulted in my undertaking nearly $1,000 in additional work that was proven to be extraneous by another company. I have taken my complaints to Roto-Rooter both locally and HQ, with no results. Id highly recommend Williams Heating and Air for your pluming and HVAC needs in Indianapolis. Roto-Rooter is simply unsafe and not up to par with product knowledge. I will also add that their plumbers do not test for carbon monoxide when working with your gas-connected appliances, such as water heater. They do not carry CO testers and cannot confirm whether new appliances are safely connected, which is dangerous considering the risk they take when working with natural gas, both professionally and for the home they are working in.

Told us what we already knew. Would not check the main line where my husband TOLD him the problem was. We paid $121.00 for NOTHING!!!! My husband, son and his Uncle spent 3 days fixing the main line. Thank for taking our money and doing absolutely NOTHING!! WHAT A WASTE!! I would ask for a refund but I can tell from your lack of care, I probably wont even receive a response.

I had a clog in my master bathroom toilet from the outside drain to the sewer connection to the city. The clog was cleared up and now Im waiting for the camera guy to show me whats inside the pipe. The technician was courteous and professional and their promptness was appreciated. Ive never had to use this service I consider myself lucky but if you do its quite pricey, fyi. I did not have time to call around to get prices I needed this resolved and had a coupon that helped somewhat. While customer service is lacking so badly these days I appreciate the professionalism by this technician. Thank you!

He could not fix my toilet or trying to fix my toilet didnt have the proper tools but was very professional on trying to help me but he was able to get the part off my toilet bowl inside its called a Eco flush toilet American standard toilet so with that being said they need to get training for American standard toilet Eco flush parts. But he was trying to see if he could help me just to have no parts for that kind of toilet at all

We had an excellent experience. The toilet was clogged and they sent someone out within 1 1/2 hours. Phil throughly reviewed the situation and provided us with two estimates. My fiancé and I came home after a relaxing Fourth of July weekend to a busted pipe underneath our home. Roto-rooter came out within the hour we called for service. They immediately found the issue, obtained the parts, and fixed the leak/broken pipe. We were very grateful for their understanding, transparency, and thoroughness. Due to the excessive water leak it saturated our floor joists and require additional work to have it dried out properly. Roto-rooter worked to get people out here quickly and even provided a complimentary bacteria screening out of good faith and our health. Highly recommend.

They came out the the morning after I put in a request which was awesome. My sump pump failed and they diagnosed and fixed the issue on the same day. Vala was my technician and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the entire process and communicated everything to me to help me learn the process more about my sump pump. Finally, after a quick google search to see how much a new sump pump/install was, they were quite a bit below the average cost in the area and I was very, very appreciative of that. I will definitely use again if a service they provide is needed.

Ill start by saying that RotoRooter was not my first choice but I was in a tough position and couldnt reach any other local plumbers, so I went with them because of the convenient online scheduling. Both technicians were very courteous, professional and worked hard to get the job done. I have no issues with them. My reason for the 3 star rating is mainly to do with the front office communication and their pricing. The first technician came out with the equipment necessary to unclog our main sewer line. I didnt realize until after he finished that a second technician had to come out to run a camera through the pipes to inspect for other problems. Why they dont equip or train each technician to do both of these services, even though theyre both included in the $650 price I was given, is beyond me. It seems like a big inconvenience for all parties involved. I also had to call the office 3 times to confirm when the second tech would arrive. It made a 2 hour inconvenience, a full day affair. Once the second tech finished his inspection he gave me the bad news that more significant repairs were required and quoted me $4200 to excavate and replace our cleanout. Once he left I quickly got a quote from another local plumber of $2200 and only $1000 if I did the excavation. So half the price for the same work. Its a shame that these big name trade companies take advantage of people in bad situations and who simply dont know any better. I really dislike how the pricing is pulled from a chart, regardless of what it will actually take to get the job done. Why not time and materials? I ended up doing the excavation work myself which took about 4 hours. With proper excavating equipment it probably would have taken 30 minutes. Needless to say, I did not go with RotoRooter to complete the repair and Ill likely never use them again if I have the choice.

I called for an emergency service call on Sunday night and was told they were booked up. Called another plumber and was told it would be about $250 for a sunday night emergency call and have the leaking elbow on my hot water heater line fixed. I called Roto Rooter back and got an appointment for Monday thinking I might save about $100. (Keep in mind, this is a crack in a little elbow. Solder the crack or replace the elbow right?) Technician comes over and charges me $365 to fix the leak, and then I see a picture and he had put 5 Shark Bite fittings on this one pipe just to fix the elbow and it took 10 minutes and $50 worth of fittings! $365!! I couldve had it taken care of a day earlier on a weekend night for cheaper and not had half a dozen fittings puzzled together! And no, im not going to copy this and email it to you with all of my information Roto Rooter.

Roto-rooter arrived on time and quickly resolved the issue in basement drain.

Bill did a fantastic job! He came out quick and got my new kitchen faucet up and running. He had to run out to the hardware store 2 times but never acted like he was in a rush or “ready to go”. Bill took his time and got the job done right! He even added in some random conversations with my husband and I which let us get to know him a little bit, very friendly and highly recommend!!! I am less than impressed. They did arrive quickly and worked quickly. I appreciated that, however, from the beginning communication was awful. They also require a card to be on file before they start any work. The work is completed, they have my card and I still havent seen a receipt. It feels like we have been taken, but I am hoping thats not the case. Everyday we were told something a little different than the day before. First, all of our flooring needed to come out and the bottom of our drywall needed to be cut out. Once they new we were paying out of pocket they looked at the drywall more closely and said it hadnt drawn ANY moisture. While I appreciate them double checking and working with our budget, it seemed like if the insurance was paying they were going to do the work regardless of whether it actually needed to be done or not. They also took the work right up to our budget ( we only know this because we asked on the phone what we were being charged). This may have been them working with us, but it could also have been them doing just the right amount of work so they could charge us our full budget. Another example of poor communication was what we were being told about the carpet. It was put on the work order that the section of the carpet needed to be cut out. After the work was done it was not cut out so we asked the worker who was doing the inspection the following day. He told us it didnt need to come out. We followed up with the office and the manager said it did need to come out. He came out the next day and cut it out himself. He also took some of the equipment (after we asked if it could be removed) and said that the other equipment would come out the next day. The following day another worker did the inspection and told us the equipment needed to stay. Then the next day when the next inspector came he mentioned that the equipment had been left upon our request (which it was not). To summarize, they responded and worked quickly, but if you like clear communication and knowing how your money is being spent, roto-rooter is not for you.UPDATE: On top of this they ended up charging the wrong card. We gave them one card to begin with, and because of some other expenses, asked to change the card we had on file. We gave them the other card number over the phone. They charged the first card anyway.

I had water in my basement from an AC line that I thought might be clogged. Roto rooter came out and charged me $121 to “analyze situation with customer.” After they left, I found the problem in my condensate line. It was cracked from holding cold water. 4 days later, I am $121 short and still trying to properly replumb the line myself.Update: Roto Rooter promptly responded to my review and asked for my information. Meanwhile, another company came out and charged me $75 to fix the actual issue. Roto rooter customer service refunded me the $121. Customer service gets 5 stars.

I called and scheduled service, they gave me a 2 hour window saying that someone would be out to provide me with service, and that they would call me 30 minutes prior to the technician arriving, so I said ok, and waited.After waiting over 2 hours, I called back and asked what was going on, no one could explain to me what was going on, and why havent a serviceman came nor contacted me, and didnt offer anything in return for the miscommunication or commitment to provide me services.

I found Van very friendly and knowledgeable! Very efficient work in a timely fashion.

Grossly overpriced. $415 to unclog a laundry drain. Technician was reluctant or refused to accommodate any additional requests like removing a wet rug under the washer or zip tying the drain hose to the line in hoses. Got the job done but the price left a bad taste in my mouth for the whole experience.

The first tech they sent out was not friendly or helpful and not want to do the job. Said he needed a part which it turned out here didnt. The tech they sent out the next day was friendly, professional and fixed the problem. He informed me what to do in my end. He was great!

What should have been a 20 to 30 minute job took 6 hours and was charged 565.06 tech had to keep taking apart and putting back together. Mind you I bought the water from lowes and put it in place myself and hooked up the gas line and the temp relief valve and the exhaust myself all I needed was for him to hook up the water lines thats it.

You guys were able to get someone out pretty promptly. And when the gentleman got there, he did a great job. The job was clean and quick and I appreicate it. I am a landlord. So its a big deal when I can react fast to a tenants problems.

Thief’s, they will try to steal your money at any cost. My issue was super easy and they want to break into the wall and charge me more. End up not going with their plan and they charged me 100$ for nothing, I fixed my problem alone and stopped the leak all that cost me 4$. Do not use them and stay away from them, that company is good for stealing not fixing

These guys have been absolutely phenomenal and even came out to my house at 7pm and were here till almost 10pm. Miguel was very thorough with everything and even made sure to get his best guy on our leak named Eddie. I would recommend them along with their restoration crew that was on time the next day and was very thorough with drying out our leak.

When they fixed the problem, they checked that everything else was ok. They found a few minor issues, which they took care of as part of the hour visit charge. They were polite and professional, knowledgeable yet explained everything to me so I could understand, showed me the pieces of drain as they took things apart and were in general just incredibly nice and respectful.We’ve been through a few plumbers lately but I think we found the company we’ll stick with. We had sewage backup into our entire downstairs living area. Roter Rooter came out quickly and very professionally explained to us all that needed to be ripped out and prepared us for how long the process was going to take. Miguel Campos showed up from Roto Rooter after I called when we found our upstairs bathroom flooded and coming through the ceiling of downstairs. He was extremely polite, knowledgeable and knew exactly what needed to be done. He had the plumber get her to fix the leak, then he got someone out to our house to do demo and start drying the bathroom and leaks up so that no more damage was done on a Saturday evening. He spoke to my home owners insurance for me and got everything taken care of in about an hour! I would recommend Roto Rooter and Miguel Campos to anyone that needs work done!

Update3/9: Received a courtesy call from Michelle. Error on Roto Rooter was acknowledged and was accommodated for prior mishaps. They quickly assigned a technician to come out and fix the drain. Quite thankful for that prompt response.--3/8: Had me scheduled for a time slot and was given a call an hr after the scheduled time. Overall service was delayed.

They were able to come out and repair some leaks and install/fix faucets the very next day. Lal (the plumber I had) took his time, worked hard, and made sure that all the repairs were done correctly before leaving. Having had work done by a plumber before, I would say their prices were similar to the competition. Overall, I would rate them high and higher them (Especially Lal!) again if I need more work.
