DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY TRIED TO SCAM ME MULTIPLE TIMES. I called Tru-Green to do an initial weed spray and fertilizing. They told me it would be scheduled service by service, and I would need to call each time for them to come out. They called me within a couple days and said that I had an over seeding and aeration scheduled the next day, a service that cost $100s of dollars which I never mentioned to anyone let alone scheduled. When I called they canceled the aeration saying it was a system error but then said my original date of service had to be rescheduled to a day I was not available. Fed up with the situation I told them to cancel the service. THE NEXT DAY THEY COME OUT ANYWAYS AND SERVICE THE YARD.When they came to the house, I got a text they were there, and not event 20 minutes later I got the text they had left. My yard is nearly 2 acres and there is no way a treatment could have been done in that time. They put two flags in the yard within 10 yards of each other. Not sure what they mean but it was odd they were only 2 and they were basically right beside each other in a yard of nearly 2 acres. The paper on the door also said that there were certain areas of the yard that were not problematic, even though they are, and other areas that were fine that I know have issues.I called about a week later when I got another text that they were coming in 2 days to AERATE AND OVER SEED AGAIN. After waiting for nearly 30 minutes I requested a call back and never got it. I called back another day got through after waiting another 15 minutes, only for them to try and give me money off another service to stay. They scheduled me for services multiple times I never asked for, serviced after I canceled, didnt even service the yard and tried to cover it up by offering money to stay. Dont use this company.

I cannot recommend this company. They dont schedule appointments. Every month, I have to be the one to call and get them here even though it is supposed to be an automatic monthly schedule. Last month, when they arrived after I called, he spot treated when it was supposed to be the whole yard sprayed. I called and complained and the salesman told me they can get someone to come out and do it again if we sign up to have the trees and bushes sprayed. Um, no thank you. They have 2 more treatments and an aeration/seed and we will finally be done with them. I made the HUGE mistake of paying upfront. They didnt show up for August, so I will be calling tomorrow for that.

I got my first service today. It was terrible. When the driver pulled up, I approached his driver window since I was leaving. He rolled the window down and had a cigarette in his left hand about 1-2 feet from my face. I asked what he was going. He stated weeds. I asked about fertilizing and he said I would to call the office.I get home 30 minutes later. He was already done. I am not sure how long treatment takes. There is no ticket on the door, no sign in the lawn, and no sign of liquids used on, or around, the lawn. I am not sure anything was done.I check the back yard to see if I could find any sign of treatment. I dont. I cant see anything, smell anything, or any grass moved or stepped on. Im not a lawn technician. I could be wrong. He left my gate open when he left.I was told a specialist would come out to diagnose my lawn and its needs. According to a call center rep I talked to later today, the technician was supposed to do that as well.I call the national number. I get put into queue and receive a callback around 30 minutes later, no problem. I explain the issues to the rep and she is very nice and helpful. She puts notes onto the account to have a local rep call my phone and not my wifes.Well, my wife gets a call. A woman from the local office called. She was very indifferent and apathetic. I explain my issues and she just sits silently. I have to double check she is still there. She says the tech said he fertilized on his paper, and that she has never known them not to do both. I had to emphasize our conversation. I said I was canceling twice. They lowered my monthly bill a little. There was not a customer service drive or sincere concern for what happened. Now I have to wait 2 weeks for them to come back out.Tech smoked in my face, told only doing weed control when he reported he also did fertilizer. No specialist inspection as stated at sign up. No invoice, service report, or yard sign was used. Gate left open. Not convinced any product was actually used. Apathetic local office.Literally nothing went right. I am going to try another company.

Beware of this company. Twice I received emails that mosquito spraying was done. First time I was home and I know that no one came by. I even checked Ring cameras to be sure.. I called and Tru Green Indianapolis sent someone else out the next day. Then it happened again today. I received the email with a report on what they did but nothing on cameras, no sign that someone was at my house. I cancelled. Just a warning to anyone else using Tru Green in Indianapolis area. if you arent home during the so-called service time, you might want to make sure they actually are doing the work.

This company is a complete scam!! Fraudulently billing for services which were never performed! They came out to perform a “tree & shrub” “service” that I never signed up for in the first place. I have no shrubs & only one tree. My son was there when “Brandon P” came. He was there less than 5 minutes…. All they did was stick a sign in my front yard & hang something on my door! Never even went on the side of my house or in the back yard where my one tree is located!This same thing has happened to someone else I know. FRAUD!!And to save your time, I do not want an “apology response”… this is not a mistake, it is fraud. I am not sure how you stay in business!

With the amount of BS MANURE they spew you would think my yard would be green and beautiful, but they have to come to your house first. I get excuses of they could not perform your service because your gate was locked... I do not even have a fence much less a locked gate. Its been over 8 weeks since they treated my yard and now my backyard is full of weeds.

This is by far the worst company I have ever done business with. Four different days I waited on them to show up for service after calling their help line. Each time I waited all day and each time they never showed. Their map continued to say they were on the way

I called TruGreen a couple months ago for a quote. They signed me up for the service even though I stated that I was not going to be able to afford it at this time. Be careful talking to their sales team, you may end up getting a bill for services you never agreed to purchase.Additionally when I called to tell them I never purchased it they stated they would cancel the service and then sent someone to my house again.Unorganized across teams and tricking consumers into charges for services they never agreed on. They should be better for as large as they are.Had plans to go back to them once we had the budget to get the service, but I will take my business elsewhere in the future.

When I started with Tru Green I had a sea of dandelions in both front and backyard. I now have a weed free yard and it’s lush and green. Even though my neighbor doesn’t care for his yard keeping the weeds down since using Tru Green it took 2 years before I saw a dandelion in my yard. I would recommend Tru Green to my friends and family

Service was professional and timely, but did not get the job done. Lawn is minimally better, but did not meet expectations.Plus I prepaid the year service $560-ish, to receive their best prepaid discount. Started in September 2019 . Then in August 2020 they aerated, and proceeded to bill me an additional $267 for that “extra” service without asking me if I wanted an additional service with additional charges!This was before the year/season ended since I started 11 months before in September 2019.No company should perform a service beyond the agreement period unless the customer approves the add-on.This needs to stop. Now they are harassing g me fir payment.I will not renew any service with them, and will hire a small local company for lawn care in the future.

They billed me for a fall aeration and seeding service that was not performed as it was agreed by the technicians that showed up at my house that it was too hot and dry. The customer service on the phone agreed as well and it was decided that it should occur in the fall and not the summer. It seems they do not communicate nor read customer reviews.

The only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 is because they gave me a full refund. I would not recommend to anyone, not even my worst enemy to go through this company for anything related to your lawn. They rarely showed up when they said they would, and when they did a technician would make false claims to get out doing their job. Even after canceling my service I was hounded for weeks to please come back after I asked them to please stop calling on multiple occasions. Not worth the time or headache.

According to Trugreen, if you pay for a year of service, they begin charging you for another year on your account without your consent?What if we moved out of the home? You just continue to charge without notification, without contacting us to see if we want to renew? You decide FOR US?Pretty sure their product is watered-down since our yard is STILL covered in massive bald spots and weeds.Not the greatest customer service... cancelling and using a small, local company.

Now if only your mosquito spray actually worked :( you charge so much for your treatments and we actually had MORE mosquitos after you treated our home. Kids had 2x as many bites. And you even came back and tried treating a second time. No dice. Whatever you are spraying just attracted more...The only positive part of the experience was you do hold to your money back guarantee and we were refunded with no trouble at all. I wish your repellant actually worked. But at least your customer service was on point.Update: We actually have mosquitos even worse since we let them spray our yard. Do NOT let them treat your yard. 2nd update: Downgraded another star because they just re-sprayed for mosquitos yesterday and the mosquitos are worse than before.In addition, when I mowed my yard last night, in addition to all of the crabgrass, there were vining weeds growing in it. I also spot sprayed the giant poison ivy growing on my fence behind my fish pond. I thought this is what I was paying the professionals to do. I asked the last guy that supposedly came for a re-spray for crabgrass and to fertilize if he could spot spray the crabgrass. He assured me that he would and it made not one bit of difference. I dont want to follow these guys around to make sure theyre doing what they say, but it seems that may be necessary.I dont know what good contacting them will do when what theyve been doing for 2 years hasnt worked.1st update:I downgraded my review to 2 stars while scratching a multitude of mosquito bites that I was subjected to in my back yard while trimming trees just a few days after a re-spray. I also saw all of the crabgrass that was just re-sprayed last Friday, still dark green with no sign of withering, and looking healthier than any of my other grass.Im not sure what the next step is because multiple coats of the weed poison in addition to the mosquito poison must be unhealthy.

Very good customer service. They do a nice job at applying the weed application and if it doesnt take it in a few days they come back out and do it again. By the middle of summer, our lawn went from being infested by weeds to one of the greenest in the neighborhood.

I was looking for lawn care service, didnt request any quotes or anything just looking. The day I was reviewing companies, TruGreen called me 8 times. I requested they stop calling as I wasnt interested in their service, and was told I was taken off the call list. The next day I received 5 more calls, once I answered and told them I had asked them to take me off the call list. Was told it was never noted in my file and they would note now, and abruptly hung up. Its been a week, and Im still receiving calls daily from TruGreen requesting I hire them. I went with another company simply because Im being harassed daily.Update: same day this review was posted, answered their third call to again tell them to take me off the list. Was polite, and told them i have asked many times to be taken off the call list and if i could talk to the manager. The manager was on the phone and would call me back. Its been a few hours and the manager still has not called me (surprised since I usually get a call every 10min haha).

This year was the first time I used Tru Green and unfortunately, they are not impressive. First of all, I got a price for one year of service over the phone based on the dimensions of my lot, which they already had from drone photos of my neighborhood. However, when it came time for applications they chose which areas of my yard to treat and, left other areas untreated. I witnessed this a couple of times and, once asked the technician to please cover my whole backyard, even the shady areas. So, you end up being charged more than you should be for the service. Crummy. Needless to say my yard didnt look as good as I wanted. Wont be using them next year.

Tru Green did a FANTASTIC job, I came home and could not tell they had visited at all. I started to see the results within days, The grass is greener after just 1 treatment. So far so good. I dont think they will disappoint me seeing that the neighbors use them and their yard looks AWESOME.

The products are OK at best. I have had 2 applications so far this season and my lawn still looks the same. When I was with LawnPride, after 2 applications, my lawn was noticeably thicker and greener. They were scheduled to come out the week of Memorial Day and never did and waited until the 6th of June. So I will be paying for and having 2 applications in one month. Not happy with the customer service.

Im very upset!!! We contracted & prepaid TruGreen $806.66 to provide lawn service. To our dismay, they failed to complete aeration and seeding services prior to the irrigation shut down for Fall. Okay, no problem...I thought...I will simply request a credit for services not rendered...right! No, not so simple!!! In lieu, of my $315.27 credit; I received a collection letter from American Profit Recovery for $14.98. No...we do NOT owe any amount! Heres the irony, had we owed the amount...send a remittal requesting amount due. However, we never received 1(one) bill remittance. WHO conducts business in this manner? TruGreen does... thats who!!! As a HOA board member, I will not & can not refer or recommend this company PERIOD!!!!!!!

Do NOT do business with TruGreen at all costs, they are thiefs in the lawncare business and will take your money and give you Zero results. Their sales team kept annoyingly calling and calling to get our business even though we told them that we were very busy that week and let them know when we were ready. They even went to the point of calling my dad and mom 4 times a day, to the point we gave in. We paid for the full year in advance. We paid for the full years service and it’s been a month already without any change to my yard. Now the salesman who sold me the plan doesn’t even pick up my calls. Finally canceled this week and lost my money.

Ive used Trugreen for the last 27 years! My lawn is in excellent shape, green, full, and healthy. I appreciate the fact that the technicians always stop when Im around; especially this last treatment. Taylor had finished servicing my lawn and moved to the house across the street but when he saw me pull in the drive he made a point to come back and talk to me about the current application, my lawn and to ask if I had any questions.Once again, Im very pleased with the service and the state of my lawn!

I have to admit I wasnt certain that I would be able to visually identify changes in my lawn after using TruGreen. Well, I was wrong! The visible changes are remarkable. I appreciate being notified prior to each visit and the information left for me by the specialist. The one time I had personal interaction with my lawn care specialist was extremely positive; he was very knowledgeable and clearly explained what was going on. I am happy with the price, with the level of service, and with the results I am getting from TruGreen. It was a good decision.

Let’s talk mosquito service — yes it actually works, but plant have a white spray film all over them now that has not been coming off in the heavy rains we’ve gotten all June. I buy this service so I can enjoy my garden and host parties for my friends to see all the work I’ve put in making it beautiful. Well, It doesn’t really look beautiful, now does it?They came out to look and said it’s water soluble - nothing is damaged. But if I want it to return to its former glory, I’ll have to take a wet cloth and wipe the leaves of 89 large plants. No thank you!!!This is after coming to my house to renew service without the required 24-hour notice and then billing me an additional $20 above my agreed upon service rate.I’ve spent too much time on the phone with them and this service has taken away from my enjoyment of my outdoor space rather than add to it.

I was hesitant to sign up with TruGreen (as I am with most big companies) but we were new homeowners and wanted to act fast on our large yard. When I was on the phone with the sales rep he assured me that there would be no surprises, even after I told him I wanted to be sure I always knew what our monthly payment would be and that we would be notified of any extra treatments before hand. They are masters at talking fast and flying through the fine print so they can get away with their ridiculously overpriced services. I had a bad feeling while talking to him so I really should have reconsidered. But instead, I trusted them when I shouldnt have.Every time someone from TruGreen comes out, they leave a note telling what they did and how long they were there. Weve been concerned to see that each time they have come theyve spent approximately 10 minutes at our property. One time they spent LESS than 10 minutes. I just cannot understand the quality of work that could possibly be done in 10 minutes or less ESPECIALLY when we live on a 1/2 acre! But we gave them the benefit of the doubt and did not cancel.Each treatment costs us $80 and many people have told us that is way too high. The most recent treatment cost us $171 and we would have never even known it if we hadnt checked our bank account. I never agreed to a payment that high. I agreed to 1 payment of $40, and 6 payments of $80 which equals $520. That is what I agreed to on the phone. Instead, they had us receiving 6 payments of $80 ($480) and a payment of $171, for a total of $651. It is so frustrating when a company tries to rip you off even after you are so careful to ask the right questions on the phone.The ONLY reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because we have noticed our lawn is greener than before and they did agree to give us discounts for future treatments, we did appreciate that. But that was after my wife had to go on and on with them on the phone. We requested to speak to a manager and are still waiting to hear back from one.We havent been very satisfied with the weed control, the applications have controlled some weeds, but not NEARLY all. We know fertilization takes time, but its been all spring and summer so far with minimal progress. If I was paying about half the price that I am, Id be satisfied. For the money, the services are NOT worth it. The amount of money we are paying should result in drastic improvements and workers who spend more than 10 minutes on your lawn. WAY overpriced, sneaky customer service, I do not recommend TruGreen. The picture I posted of our lawn care plan is proof that we never agreed to pay the extra $171 treatment.

**Public service announcement**If you see this truck on the road get as far away from it as you possibly can!!!! It pulled out of a parking lot Saturday cutting two people off and then coming within inches of hitting the car of our car as he ran us off the road. Tregreen needs to do a better job checking out there employees before they put theses drivers on the road that has no regard for anyone’s safety!!

They bought out Scotts in 2016 and the service went downhill very quickly in 2017. Missed appointments, lots of weeds, and billing issues all year. Cancelled the service in 2018 and wont be back.

I’d give them a 0 if I could. We were told twice that they would send someone to come our and speak with us directly about putting together a plan for our yard. Both times were a no-show (the second time I took time off work to meet the tech) When I was contacted about service renewal, I told them what happened, and the lady got defensive and hung up on me. The product is ok but the customer service is the worst I’ve ever seen from any company. Stay away from TruGreen.

The people at TruGreen looked at the annoying tactics of credit card and cable companies and said to themselves We can do worse. After my first application the company started contacting me 2-3 times a week asking about my satisfaction then pivoting into the upsell (mosquitoes, grubs, aeration, etc...) Ask them to stop and they will back off until the next application only. If you think you can ingore calls from Trugreen good luck, they call you from multiple local numbers...so that day youre expecting a call-back from the doctor or some repairman youll pick up and hello TruGreen upsell. All I wanted was a weed free lawn, which I admit I did get, but using this company is like dealing with a sleazy used car salesman...every week. No thanks. Im gonna give one of the smaller operations a chance this year.

I wish i had read the reviews before I signed up. Here is a copy of the survey that i filled out on their website.After i paid the salesperson, it took 2 months for someone to finally come out. I had to call in 4 times and each time they told me that someone was scheduled next week, but then i would wait the next week and nobody would ever come. The only way i was able to get someone to come out was to talk to a manager and have her call the service person. I signed up in the spring and my lawn looks the same as it did when i began. Then they called me up and offered to airate my lawn for approx $150 and I told the person that my lawn still looked the same as when they started, he offered to have someone come out for free to give me another application, i agreed to that but nobody ever showed up. That was 2 weeks ago. I canceled my service last week. I dont want to sound rude, but you are the worst run company i have ever seen. It is amazing that you are able to keep any customers. I was told when i signed up that they would keep coming out as many times as is needed, but in a 5 month period you only came out twice even though I had to call your company 5 times.

This outfit has been told moths ago they are cancelled and they keep biling us and cant seem to stop the service. Their invoice clearly states that we can cancel at anytime. The sales people are very pushy and just want to make a quick sale. After my first call with them I told them I wanted to speak to someone in person at my home who could walk my yard and tell me exactly how the process works. I explicitly stated that I wasnt comfortable approving any charges until an in-person meeting happened. The pushy salesperson assured me someone would call to setup a time to meet. Instead he charged my card and someone came to my yard and did a first treatment without my consent or knowledge. This is a very slimy business operations that disregards the homeowners expressed wishes. If I could give zero stars I would.

I have been a long time Trugreen customer in another state. I recently relocated to Indy and wanted to continue the business with them. When I called their Indianapolis number, the sales person on the phone was very rude, he was badly pushing me to accept a unreasonable high price. Come on! I am just new to Indy, I am not new to business. Dont try those dirty tricks to fool your customers. There are bunch of lawn care companies in the market, I will choose another company.

I signed up for 2 services which were Premier Green and Insect service, I was sent an alert my tech was onhis way July 3rd at 4:56 pm, Which I thought was great I was at home sitting in my kitchen which faces the front drive and yard, at 4:58 pm I received an alert that said my service had been completed???? to put this in perspctive my yard to be treated is 27,000 feet so clearly this is impossible besides the fact I was watching for the tech. At 5:06 pm I called the 800 number to find out what was going on ( Im hoping this was a mistake) very nice service rep on the phone is very attentive to me goes through the whole speal he stated they would get to the bottom of this and set me up for a new date for treatment. I was waiting for a call which I felt should have been a top priorty come July 5th, I received a call around 9;15 am but it was the tech telling me he treated my lawn....... well I informed him that he was not there at the stated time after some back and fourth I told him I was heading home to pull the camera system ( maybe he did come in the morning) While reviewg the camera system The tech called me again I asked to him to just be honest save me some time after delay he stated he was here, so back to the video 3 minutes later the tech calls and confirms he was never here, I thanked him for coming clean and ask him not to contact me again. I called the local office requested the area manager to call me and explaind the ordeal. The lady let me know the same tech was scheduled to be out Monday I stated I would continue service but not the same tech. As I own my own business I understand one employee should not reflect a whole business. When 7 pm rolled around and no contact from the area manager that is not acceptable. At that point I cancelled my service package and now looking for a new company.

It is mid August and my yard is just one big weed except for a small patch by the patio. I was promised an aeration last fall and it was not done. It was supposedly rescheduled for spring. When I called to ask about it, I was told it had not been put on the schedule and that I would get a free aeration in the fall. I have given Tru-Green chances to rectify the problem with the weedy lawn and scheduled appointments have not been kept. Today I cancelled all future services and will NOT be recommending Tru-Green to anyone. Do not waster your money!

Being a new homeowner (just over a year) I was super excited to set up a lawn service to get my lawn looking extra nice. Although the intial call and set up was pleasant i soon found that they didnt care about the customers. We specifically requested that we wanted to be present at the first visit to ensure that they knew our property lines as we had recently installed a fence and also wanted to know frs hand what they were going to be doing to our lawn.Even though we received a call the day before confirming the appointment and verifying that we wanted to be present, we were never called to meet with the technician. We got home to see that they had already been there.After calling i spoke with a pleasant CSR who was apologetic and stated that it did say in the notes that they were to call us. But they didnt. She offered us 50% discount on the next service call and a call from a manager to set up a time that my fiance could meet with them and go over what had been treated and ensure our property lines had been treated.I as happy with that and moved on. 7 days later still no call from the manager. My fiance called at this point and the CSR stated that the notes said for a manager to call but obviously they hadnt. We then were connected to the managers voicemail and left a message. ather 5 days and nothing.We then cancelled our service and will not be referring anyone to this company. They have no clue what customer service is. Ridiculous.Do not use this company

Ive been disappointed with the completeness of service I received from TruGreen.1. Areas of my lawn continues to have large amounts of moss2. The treatments have not covered area of my lawn, for instantA) even though I added my back lawn to the service, Ive not see any evidence of weed killer or fertilizer applied there.B) The south side of my property extends 10ft from my driveway but at most Ive see treated is a 3 ft strip.C) Ive not seen evidence of treatment applied to the south side of my house3. The Aeration service was poor. The south side of my property was not aerated, and the rear was only partially done. Where aeration was performed the depth and frequency of the holes was low, and the amount of seed applied was lacking.Overall Id disappointed by the service and the quality of my lawns has not improved since using Trugreen

Apparently it could give a better result if the one who is applying the product to the lawn does not jump from areas, that is, in my patio they applied the sauteed product. If it works, I could see good result in only some areas of my yard, but they dont have professionals. I dont recommend it much they dont even ask how satisfied we are.
