Microtrace had my Canon printer for three months and still did not get it repaired. The printer was an out-of-manufacture printer, so getting one of the parts was difficult. I understood that. However, the real issue was Daves lack of communication with me. I phoned numerous times to get an update on progress. I was told Dave would call me back. He never did, except for once. All communication had to be initiated by me. He initiated none--none--to report on the delays and why. Finally, in a communication I had initiated, he said the final part needed to repair the printer was on its way. Ten days later, he still did not have it. In a phone call I had again initiated, he said he would put a tracer on the item. Three times in that Friday conversation he told me he would phone me on the coming Monday. Come Monday, and I never heard from him. Finally, on Friday I called again. He apologized for not getting back to me--a meaningless apology since he had made that apology before, yet did not change his behavior. He said he had been busy, which said to me, in effect, that I was unimportant to him, even though he had had my printer for three months. I finally told him to not repair the printer and to refund what I had already paid for parts. He agreed to do that. Two weeks later and I am still awaiting the refund.Beware of doing any business with Dave if there is any indication your repair may take a while.

Epson 3880 printer ($1600) stopped talking to network. They did a great job, printer works like is used to. Damaged circuit board. Very happy with repairs. They stated up front it would be a few weeks, it was, I did not bother them, they called me. Got a quote in two weeks, I oked completing repairs. Had to order parts, had printer back in another 2 weeks.

I would give NO stars if I could. They had our Epson WorkForce inkjet printer/scanner/combo printer for 2 1/2 months and did practically nothing to it. The technicion was not honest or forthright with us. We finally picked it up and now we have to figure out what to do with it. But leaving it there was getting us no place. Save yourself some frustration and find a better printer and a different fix up shop. Totally frustrated.

Reluctantly, after reading bad reviews, I took my almost $1000 printer in to be repaired by Microtrace. I was told upon dropping off the printer that I would be called that day or the following day with a quote. I never received a call. This was the theme throughout my entire experience with Microtrace. They held my printer for almost 3 weeks, and I had to call every time I wanted a quote or an update on timing (both of which changed every time I called). I also sent an email during the first week, which never received a response. Finally, after 3 weeks of pushing on them to give me an answer on timing and pricing for my repair, they let me know the repair costs would exceed $300. I decided not to proceed with the repair. When I came to pick up the printer, the drop down door on the front of the printer was broken, scuffed, and won’t even close now. I babied this printer for years, and it doesn’t even look like the same printer now. Based on the way the outside looks, I don’t even want to know what kind of damage they caused to the inside. I will NEVER take a piece of equipment into Microtrace again. I will drive to Illinois Epson repair shop before I use Microtrace.

The absolute worst. They lied. They kept giving me different stories each 2 weeks I called. After 9 weeks I picked it up and they had not put the printer together so that it matched how it came in. I would never ever recommend them. The absolute worst.

I guess this place is closed?? Ive called and no reply. Went to location and there appears to be another business there... also no reply nor call back from Dave...
