Really great place. First time getting my hair cut in almost a year and Tristan absolutely killed it. Really professional and helped in creating a really welcoming and laid back environment. Definitely would recommend this place and already booked my next appointment with Tristan.

Tristan is the best barber Ive had in Indy, hands down. Always remembered me when I walked in, knew what cut we were going for, and listened when I tried to explain how I wanted to improve my look. Id be a lifelong customer if I didnt have to move out-of-state. The whole crew was professional and created a laid-back atmosphere that was really easy to just enjoy your cut and hear some banter. Highly recommend Tristan and the B&M crew to anyone that wants to look sharp and stay on top of life.

Brick and Mortar is hands down one of the best cuts in Indy. I have been getting haircuts here for several years and have been served by several of the excellent barbers they staff. Kyle Addison is my go-to barber but anyone on the floor can provide a top notch cut.Their new location at the Garage offers more foot traffic and parking than the old spot on Delaware. I recommend visiting their website and booking ahead of time if you plan to get a cut.

This is an excellent place- it’s not old and stuffy at all. The guys and gals here have a modern style and they do great work. I’ve been going here for about a year now and I know other guys that go too. I have very straight and dense hair, it isn’t easy to cut I’m sure. Kyle A is seriously great... my hair always looks great after I see him and I get compliments about the cut often.

Booked an appt on 7/24 for 7/30 and they cancel 2hrs ahead of my appt with no availability to get me in today, when I selected first available.Hint* first available does not mean you will get your haircut if you book. Because if that person cancels they will book the other stylest up and youll be left without a haircut before an important event and be forced to go to Great Clips or Sports Clips

You can not go wrong here. Best haircuts and beard trims in town. I go to Tristan for my cuts and trims. I have random strangers ask me where I get my hair cut. Even other barbers. I can not say enough good things. All the babes here are very good. Cash only but there is an ATM inside if you forget. Book an appointment as chances of walk in openings are slim. You wont be disappointed.

Some folks feel like theyve made it when they have a bar where the bartender knows their name. I feel that way about barbershops.Ive been going to Nate at Brick and Mortar for probably close to three years now and I cant recommend him and Brick and Mortar any more highly. Based on all the positive reviews I drove nearly 20 minutes to go here instead of the local shop right down the street from where I live, and I was not disappointed. Cindy took me right away and gave me a great haircut experience, all at a great price, and done fairly quickly. Highly recommended

Ive been visiting this location since it was just the owner at one chair. Ive been very happy to see it expand and grow. The scheduler lets you choose a specific barber, but to be honest every single one of them has been exceptionally amazing at their craft. So even if you cant get the person youre used to, everyone is exceptionally competent.

Great haricut and service

Just let my guy do whatever he wanted with my hair, and it was by far the best cut Ive ever gotten. My barber was super friendly and explained everything he was doing in a way I could understand. If youre tired of cheap chop jobs from a certain chain of salons, head on over here.

Brick & Mortar is far and above the best barbershop experience in downtown Indianapolis. When I first moved here I bounced all over greater Indy to find the right place and Brick & Mortar is that place. My barber is Nate Ridenour and he is tremendous, efficient with his time and a fun dude to chat with during your time spent in his chair. 5/5 recommend to friends and family.

Tristan does a great job and always makes sure Im perfectly happy with my cut. This is my favorite barbershop in Indy after trying several around downtown and Broad Ripple.Great service, good vibe, and solid array of hair products.

The pros:My haircut was excellent. My barber was very nice, thorough, and communicative with me throughout. She took the time to make sure she understood exactly what I wanted. The space is clean and the staff are all very pleasant.The cons:* (major gripe) Only accepts cash payments. This is annoying, the cost and inconvenience is just being passed on to the customers. Its especially annoying considering the store already uses an electronic payment system for its products, just not its services. I had to eat the $3 ATM fee because I did not have enough cash. Their cash only policy is advertised on their website, but is an inconvenience nonetheless.* (minor gripe) I showed up to my appointment 10 minutes early and no one had arrived yet, shop was still closed. Because this shop is by appointment only, make sure to show up **at** your appointment time.

Not inclined to book again. Was 15 minutes late due to traffic, fully knowing that they have a 10 minute cancellation policy. Walked in to see 3 barbers, of whom only two were cutting hair. They nethertheless cancelled me, charged for a full service and only offered to re book for over a day later. 20 minutes later I walked past again to see two unoccupied barbers and no waiting customers. I’ll stick to fountain square barbershop who will take you every time.

I came across this place after doing a little bit of research online. My barber back home was booked up through the holidays and I was in dire need for a haircut. Chadwick did a great job and was a super cool guy to talk to. I would 100% recommend this place for anyone looking to get a haircut downtown!

I have watched this guy cut hair for the past 4 years or so. His chair was next to one of a few people I trust to cut my hair. Now that he is just down the street from work, Brandon is my go to barber. The shop is very nice and has room the grow. You can schedule ahead to avoid waiting around too long. A nice couch is available for when a wait is in order. The attention to detail is what I respect. I know that it wont just be a clipper cut. To get proper blending, scissors are needed but some places refuse to spend the time. I can say this is one of the best cuts in town and competitively priced.

Followed Brandon, the owner, down from Carmel when my wife and I moved from the North side to Irvington. He grew his business from one to four chairs. Its the best cut in Indianapolis. Every guy there is excellent. Its a fun atmosphere. Nates my regular Barber now. He knows me by name and knows what I do for a living. He is great to talk to and gets my cut just the way I like it every time. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

Quality haircuts, awesome atmosphere, fun conversation, and a convenient location. The only issue is that they are so popular, they get booked so far in advance that you need to really be on top of scheduling. Otherwise the best barber shop downtown in my opinion.

I have always had hard time finding a good barber. Moved to indiana from jersey and didnt get any good haircuts until I went to them. I drive an hour each way just to get haircut and its completely worthwhile. The barbers know exactly what they are doing and are darn good at it.

Posted business hours are till 7 oclock which most businesses continue to accept customers until that posted time.I arrived at 6:40 pm approximately, the door was locked and the gentleman refused to provide service.Being from out of town/state that was the nearest open establisment according to Google. Do not waste your Lyft fare traveling up to guy.

I love this place, but you will feel out of place if you dont have a beard. Also, a word of advice, know exactly what you want before you go in, I was made to feel a little bit stupid for not being sure how I wanted my hair done. But even so, great cut, and great place.

This place seems to be one of the better kept secrets in downtown Indy. Great service at a solid price, plus the location really cant be beat. Just make sure you dont go during the lunch rush if you want to avoid any wait, but the wait even then is very short.

If youre doing well business wise it doesnt give you the right to place yourself first before the customer and be rude and unpleasant. In certain specific cases, you must not charge a customer for a no show. I will warn people against visiting this service in the future.
