I went in to hix to see what they had for a cheap used single tire for my car and they had a unbelievable deal for a set of 4 brand new wheels and tires. I just couldnt be more happy with how little i spent. If I were to go to the tire shop such as discount tire I would have spent a $530.89 for a set of four wheels and tires without warranty. I saved almost 400 bucks on the dot with Hix wrecker. Thank u guys ill definitely be coming bk for more deals.

Called the office to get information about a police towed vehicle for the dealership and then went with the info that was requested for pick-up from the impound. The office girl refused the paperwork and denied the pick-up for the vehicle because of the dealership license plate to be used to transport the vehicle from the impound lot to the car lot. After 3 days a mechanic lean was placed on the vehicle for a price gouging $200 with out a notice for this to occur terribly disappointing that one would be so difficult and cold to another trying to survive by honest work.

I needed a tow and got it promptly which is a good thing in an event of an emergency. But I guess with good customer service comes a heavy price tag. I was charged 142.70 for less then a 6 mile tow after further checking there was other tow services where I would of just been charged half that so do your research before I call Hix if u want fast service these are your people but if your on a budget deffntly no

I had my semi break down on I-70W. They were very professional and quick. The driver was friendly and explained the process to me and also explained my options to me. They are a patriotic all American company who you can trust to be fair and honest.PS. FYY They also sell old cars that have not been claimed after 6 months. (but you have to call them at 3 am to get the best deals).

People were extremely rude there the second day i went. Although the young gentleman who was working on the Sunday we first visited was very nice and patient with me being it was my first time dealing with a vehicle that was towed by Beech Grove Police Dept.. I was unaware that every vehicle they have towed must have a release from them no matter the reason it was towed for some dumb reason and they were closed Sunday so we had to get the release on Monday and go back to Hix and unfortunately the nice helpful gentleman who helped us Sunday was off and in his place was a very rude female and wrecker drivers who could not answer my 1st question and rudely told me to get out. If ever i am in need of a wrecker for any reason i will never willingly call Hix

No one wants to get a wrecker but if you do I have great things to report about my hix tow truck driver. He was extremely nice and didnt get upset when he had to push my car out of the garage to hook it up. Our driveway is super narrow but he navigated his flatbed wrecker with ease and made me feel confident that my car was going to get to my mechanic without incident. Call. The prices are competitive and the service is top notch.

Company called for tractor tow...immediate response from company...1025 am. We are 2 hrs away dispatching a tow now.....Currently waiting on that tow ..1350. Maybe reliable and timely even honest may not exactly apply. Currently still waiting 1445.... 1545 still no sign of tow truck. 1615 they are here!

I enjoy eating here. Very large varieties of food to choose from, along with fresh and constantly changed out old food from new food. The staff has always been sweet and curtious and helpful.

My truck (with a 40ft gooseneck trailer attached) broke down on a 2 lane road and they saved the day and were very nice people as well.

Everyone there is always so nice and helpful this is truly a place that will bend over backwards for you! The Parts counter is great.. oThis is one of Indys preserved family businesses still around.

These people drive recklessly to arrive to an accident passing on the right to the far left lane. Their associates stated beechgrove gives them no stop authority for the fatal accident. Well hix, driving lile that can cause another fatal accident and its the ambulances jobto have no stop because they have sirens and lights and are trained to do so. You are a wrecking service not a vital hero of the community.

I witnessed one of their trucks being driven in an extremely dangerous manner. This truck was passing on the right, cutting off other vehicles and generally being unsafe. When Hix was contacted about this the woman on the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional as well as condescending. She claimed the police had given the truck permission to run red lights and drive dangerously. All around unprofessional, dangerous and disturbing experience with these people, they should be ashamed.

Called Hix they told me within the Hr after two hrs they didnt show called back they said that the driver was standing there I cancelled the call

Called and was told it would be an hour before they had a wrecker available to get me back on the road. The receptionist said she would call when it was available to be sure I was still in need of help. It wasnt just an hour wait, instead it was less than 15 minutes and they called me back. From the time I called and the time I was back on the road and headed to work took less than 45 minutes. From the get go I knew Id be late for work, but to my surprise and the FAST response I made it to work on schedule. They took a bad situation of my being stuck in a ditch and pointed my car in the right direction of a timely arrival to work. Thanks guys!

Downside: called to have my sons wrecked car towed. Was informed theyd be there shortly. Kept calling and would be told 5 or 10 minutes but was about an hour and 45 minutes. Car was picked up shortly before midnight (about 11:45pm) and taken to their lot a few miles away. Price to pick up next morning was double price quoted us as two day storage fee even though had been on lot less than 24hrs. (Ran past midnight). Also since non drivable, there was another tow fee to bring outside gate (about 50 feet). Was sort of a hassle with paperwork also. Upside: Wouldve given 1 star but am giving 3 because the gals in the office were sympathetic and reduced the price to original quote and a tow truck driver helped push the car to gate to avoid hook fee (very nice of him). If you use this company, or any other, be sure to ask about fees and necessary paperwork to retrieve vehicle. Get registration and insurance card out of car before its towed.

EXTREMELY RUDE! I was sent back and forth from place to place to grab different items each time. Not once did the staff give me the same information over the 4 calls that I made. Hateful and degrading attitudes. I was made to wait for a driver to come back to take me to my car and he had JUST gone on a run. No, actually, he and the woman at the desk were exchanging texts as he sat in the parking lot in his truck.

They dont seem to know what they have in the yard anymore. And didnt seem to care. Ive been going there for years but may not be going back anymore.

They told me I could get personal belongings out when I first called, then said I couldnt after I drove all the way there. After the police called them about it they said there was nothing in there, but the officers body cams picked up several valuable things in there. When I asked who had access they said no one, the items were never in there, the body cams must be wrong. Horrible place full of liars and thieves.

Bad day turned around. My car broke down in South Bend and I needed to return to Indy. I have AAA but my level is only 3 miles free. I was quoted between $600-$800 depending on the route. Hix was more economical and the driver really knew what he was doing. The driver was professional and friendly for the entire drive. Thanks again!

I was in Avon in, and I called this guys to towed my semi truck to exit 4 Indianapolis they told me the charge will be about $440 I waited them 1:30 minutes they showed up and towed my truck to my destination.but here is where the problem started when the time off payment come they come up almost double the money that wee agreed on .i try to ask the lady where is this money come it’s more than what we agreed on but she intimidated me to inbound my truck if keep talk...so my advice is avoid this guys

Perhaps one of the most infuriating experiences, I hit a pothole on the way home from downtown. I didnt have a spare tire and so had to be towed to an auto shop in Greenwood. I called Hix (about 9 PM) and after some back and forth on the phone (the representative seemed confused between myself and another driver), they sent someone. They quoted me an hour, then 25-30 minutes, but they came in 15 minutes. I was very pleased with the speedy service.The price seemed REALLY steep to only go 6-7 miles - other places were later quoting less than half of what I paid. Maybe it was the time of day... and/or maybe it was the fact that I have a luxury car. I dont know. At least it was quick, if not a bit painful on the pocket book!

Phenomenal group of folks at Hix. We’ve subbed to Hix multiple times for all our out of Kokomo area tows and recovery’s and they have alway had the upmost respect towards me and my crew and treat my customers just as I would ! Highly recommended. Thank Hix crew for all you do!

Worst company ever and I have many friends in the towing industry ... Towed my commercial truck and never reported it to law enforcement so, needless to say after reporting it to the police who had no reports of it being towed I had to wait until I could get my company to locate the truck via GPS ... grab my S&W and headed to the address thinking some criminal was doing something terrible with the fertilizer product on my rig haha just to find out it was towed. Now, the tow is cool because I checked the property and there were postings that I had not seen about getting towed etc but after holding my truck for 8hr and 49m (exact) they charged for 2 days!!!! very unprofessional staff and outrageous fees ... Maybe they offer some good services but if you get towed by them expect unprofessional people to hand you a over priced bill ...

I had a truck towed by this company and it has taken 4 days to get a receipt for towing; but they wanted payment immediately. Every time I call I give my information and I get the SAME STATEMENT OK I WILL SEND IT NOW If you use them make sure you get your receipt at the time of payment. SMH.....

Dont know a ton of places for towing so after calling several spots and getting some longer wait times, called Hix and they said theyd have someone out right away. Fast, solid service. Everyone seemed kind. Couldnt ask for much more. Would recommend to anyone and will use again if needed.

Have used Hix service multiple times over the last 3 years. Good people there that give very fair prices and will do what they can for you. I use them on the heavy truck and trailer side so would happily recommend them to anyone for that. Thanks for all the help guys. Have sure gotten me out of some binds!

Make sure you find out how much itll be when youre on the phone with them, otherwise youll be getting charged $180 for a tow that was two minutes away from your house. $85 for using some sort of hook or wrench thing Ive never heard of, $20 to pay with credit card, and the rest for the actual tow. The only positive thing was that they came quickly, but I would have rather have waited the hour or two for the other company I called who was only going to charge $85 and made sure to let me know over the phone.Invoice #057859

Dana, the lady I talked to needs to be fired asap, shes hatefull, shes rude, and was not helpful. I was super mad I was talked to the way i was as a customer.

Hix towed my vehicle on 5/8/2018. No problems with the tow driver. My issue stems from a customer service standpoint. I used my insurances roadside assistance to pay for the tow. I facilitated a phone conversation between the driver at Hix and the Roadside assistance claims person to ensure the proper steps can be complied with (P.O. number issued, insurance agreement that they can use Hix, etc.). All parties agreed that Hix can be used and a P.O. was issued. On 5/14/2018 Hix called me aggressively stating that I need to pay the bill since they talked to the insurance company and Hix claims the insurance company told they they denied payment. Hix informed me I was now responsible and if I didnt pay they would pursue court action to obtain payment from me. I called the insurance company to find out if Hixs allegation was true. I also checked the app of the insurance company on phone phone to see what it said. My app showed me documentation that says the insurance company sent a check request to the billing department and listed the check number used for payment. I called the insurance billing department to confirm the check hasnt been stopped or recalled. They confirmed. I called Hix back to let them know the insurance company told me they never denied payment and they told me they never told Hix they werent responsible. I asked Hix how these allegations could have arisen and told them they need to be more careful in calling me in a threatening manner with unsubstantiated allegations. Hix dismissed my statements nearly the entire conversation I had with them and said they would take what I said under advisement. Please dont use them if you expect any level of customer service outside of the driver you may use. Again, my driver was a great. Seemed to be a really good guy.

I got stuck following one of their drivers tonight, right now its August 2018. I ended up stuck behind him for about a mile and a half down east street, by Eli Lilly. The whole time the driver had not just his LEDs on, but the bright light you use as a delivery driver to shine on to houses to see the addresss times ten. No vehicle just a bunch of lights going off. Luckily we both got to a red light on Virginia Avenue at the same time side by side. Him in the far-right turning lane, and me directly next to him to his left about to cross over. I was able to get the drivers attention and notify him that his light was blinding all the cars behind him. While we verbally did not communicate he became aware of the situation and turned them off, after he lit a cigarette..While I cannot complain about their service because I personally have not use them. I feel as if the driver was annoyed that I was trying to get his attention to warn him that he was possibly going to cause a car accident... I was personally upset that I got stuck behind this driver. The lights stayed on and its like he never checked them between the good 3 minutes I was behind them cuz we did get stuck by a couple lights..now Im not trying to bash this company they do have some decent reviews on here, I am just trying to share with everyone that reads this my personal experience with Hix Towing.

Most unprofessional driver. Originally he said he would drop me off at any gas station exit, which then became only his exit, which then became only his convenience. When calling to complain, the lady answering the phone wouldnt hear me out at all. They wouldnt let me retrieve my belongings from the vehicle either. The driver eventually kicked me out of the vehicle and wanted to fist fight. 80 IQ fella.

The car wont start and it dies on you while you drive it so we are in a pickle but instead of saying im sorry miss, theres nothing I can do. She hangs up on me because Im guessing I frustrated her. I know were not technically your customers because you guys are forced to do this, but cant you at least be nice or polite when you talk to others? Ugh.

Go here to check your battery, they are very nice and affordable if you need a used battery I took my battery 2 times and altnator to Auto Zone they said both were good but taking it here I finally found out what was wrong with my car.....was altnator all the time DONT TRUST AUTO ZONE

Their drivers are definitely not shy about pulling out infront of people. I drive up and down Bluff Rd twice a day, to and from work. I have gotten used to them nearly causing accidents at least once a week.

Extremely rude staff, they treat you like hours and inconvenience and a bother. Prices are stupid high, went here a long time ago and they tried to sell me a motorcycle that’s was literally crushed into a ball for 500 dollars. Oh and their truck drivers are notoriously very dangerous, on multiple occasions their big semi tow trucks pull out in front of me and other cars to the point where you have to slam on your brakes and skid to avoid hitting them. Just an unprofessional and bad company overall AVOID.
