They gave me insurance for my construction business when I was new. No one else wanted to give me insurance because I was new, but they were friendly was able to get insurance for me.

I really wanted to have a great experience with the George Group because they are local to FT and I like to support local businesses. My initial impression was good. However, I had a significant billing issue arise early on where I was told a payment would be automatically taken out for an amount on a certain date. I then received a bill in the mail for double the amount. I contacted Rissie at the George Group who was very nice to speak with but denied she ever told me the original amount would come out on that date. However, she was willing to contact billing with Erie and take it off automatic payment so the double billed would not come out and I could just call and pay my normal monthly amount over the phone instead. I wasn’t entirely happy with her response but I understand mistakes happen so I was willing to give them a chance to fix it. Well fast forward to the withdrawal date I was told would not happen and sure enough $733.00 gets taken out of my account overdrawing it. I contacted Rissie who assured me she had contacted billing at Erie and she doesn’t know why the amount still came out and to contact my bank to dispute the payment. I told her at that time I felt our communication had been poor from the beginning and I wanted to not continue insurance coverage with them and would find insurance elsewhere. I then contacted Erie customer service who told me that they had no record Of Rissie or The George Group contacting them to stop the automatic payment. I was then told that if I disputed the payment with my bank and it was returned then my insurance would terminate approximately 10-12 days after the returned payment unless I made an additional payment. After that I decided to go ahead and get Progressive insurance started up. Now fast forward to today, my account was again charged an automatic payment of $1100 from Erie for my premium. I’m furious. I already have an entirely different insurance company. I called Rissie today and she informed me that I never told her I wanted my coverage cancelled and she seemed to have no remorse of what I have been through with them. I am again disputing the charges with my bank. I consider myself a intelligent adult who does not have issues understanding how and when to pay my bills. I asked plenty of questions in the beginning and throughout the process of beginning coverage with Erie pertaining to bill payment and amounts and somehow it was still all messed up and again contacted them when the first amount came out and 2 months later I am still having significant issues arise.My experience with The George Group has been terrible.
