Staff are really polite and very kind and friendly. There always right on top of things. Wating area is very nice and clean. Which is nice and comforting Evan though you don’t have to wait long.

I see Wendy at ascend mental health. before coming in to ascend my experience was basically telling a doctor Im depressed and they give me a random prescription and sent me on my way. Wendy took a while with me breaking down exactly what my problems were, where we could make improvements, and helped me find the right combination of medication. Now Im feeling the best I have in years. Definitely recommend to anyone of any age who is struggling.

Wende is such a fantastic and professional provider. I’ve seen a lot of providers who make me feel like our appointment is rushed, and my answers to check boxes are most important. Wende takes the time to hear about my experiences and clearly explains our plan of action. I STRONGLY recommend her for any medication management needs!

The clinic was very professional and tidy during my visits. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they answered any questions and concerns that I had. Kade Anderson was the professional who helped me. He was very calm and had a strong understanding on psychological health. I was prescribed medication very quickly and began feeling better thanks to this medical center

Dr Matt Larsen at Ascend Mental Health and his staff are phenomenal! A couple of my children have needed mental heath expertise for 8+ years now. I’ve felt like my options have been so limited in our area and feel like I’ve needed to just take whatever I could get and deal with it. So when a new option became available when Dr Larsen opened up his outpatient practice I was very hopeful that he would not only be able to meet the mental needs of my kids but be able to help them have positive, uplifting experiences when they went to the Doctor. The office staff has been very attentive to detail and incredibly easy to work with, friendly and fun.After working with several different mental health providers I can truly appreciate how well Dr Larsen connects and communicates with my children. He talks to them and looks at them! He doesn’t instantly turn to me and ask me what I think they need, he talks to THEM. The questions he asks and the way he relates to my kids gives them an instant feeling that they can trust him and confide in him with ease. He is always open to new ideas and avenues of treatment and won’t give up on trying to find the perfect solution for my kids, no matter how long it takes. His brilliance in childhood and adolescent mental health is amazing and our area is so incredibly blessed to have his expertise, friendly and silly personality and his amazing staff available to us all. I recommend his office to everyone I know that may have some of the similar struggles that my family faces. My family is so grateful to have Ascend Mental Health as an option for our mental Heath needs.

Ascend mental health is a great place and Im so glad they opened. My son and I both actually needed psychiatric care, and its super helpful that we can both go to the same office. Customer service was kind and responds quickly. The provider was also fabulous. My son had never seen a psych provider, but I have so I know the difference. This is an office I would recommend to anyone. I bet theyll fill up their patient roster soon, with what a great office they are. So Id call sooner rather than later.

We are new to Idaho falls and my cousin recommended Dr Larsen and we are so glad to have his good care. He makes us feel comfortable, welcome, and without any shame. He’s easy going and sincerely wants to help.

My son was having some personal problems, and someone recommended Ascend Mental Health Center. I was very nervous, because Ive never had to deal with anything like this before, and the only things I know about a psychologist are what Id seen on tv. However, I would like to say it was an amazing experience. When I left not only was I happy, but my son already felt like things were getting better. The lady at the front desk Jenna, made us feel right at home. Dr. Larsen was very up front and honest with us. I felt I should take the time to make sure that people know how amazing this place is. Even the doctors that we were not there to see were still super friendly and made us feel welcome. I give them a 5 because they didnt sugar coat anything. I needed to know what is going on with my son, and what we could do to help him, and they were honest and up front. I would recommend them to anyone who needs help.

Both doctors are really awesome! They are willing to listen to you to try and find what works for you, and they won’t push pills. Both men are highly professional, and even thought they are my Doctors I would consider them to be good friends!

Ascend Mental Health has been such a blessing in my life. Their new office is clean and comfortable . The Receptionist is a gem. And I can tell she really keeps that office on task, as well as the patient. I was wowed that she called me the day before my appt since I made 3 Months prior and if she hadnt of called then I would of missed my appt. Both Drs are fantastic and really listen to you, and genuinely want to help you to balance everything out. Check them out! I promise you wont be disappointed. :)
