Appreciated their help with closing. We had a bit of a sticky situation and they helped us get through it timely. There were a few things I wish they would have done initially in their research on the property we closed on but I don’t think it was worth taking off a star off for it. It was a rare situation. Great people. Katie at the front office is super nice and efficient. Salem, Desiree, Samantha all good people.
Amazing team to work with they did an incredible job. When I buy my next place I am definitely coming here first.
Out title officer was thorough and efficient then rushed to get our documents to the county recorders office so we could become homeowners with the keys that day. They were perfect.
I have used First American Title for over 20 years. They are fast, friendly, and very professional. Great company to work with!
First American handled our last transaction smoothly and made accommodations for our clients schedule changes. Thank you!
Weve worked with First American Titlle on several occasions. Theyre very helpful and accommodating! We HIGHLY recommend them!
I’ve used First American Title for years. As a real estate professional in the area I have appreciated their attention to detail and will continue using them as my go-to title company if choice!
I had a closing yesterday and they were ready with all of the paperwork. The lady helping me was very pleasant and was able to answer all of my questions. I would recommend them to anyone.
These guys not only struggle do their job right, they are only allowed to offer apologies if they screw up. Oh, and just “be happy” you were able to get in your new house.. Cause that extra 4 grand isn’t needed for furnishings or anything else. There’s MUCH better and nicer title companies in town and are worth the money (even if they were to charge more). Feel free to read on if you want all the details:Arrived to close on my house early in the morning and began asking the normal questions as our agent walked us through the paperwork. I should have taken it as a sign when I asked about a particular line item and the agent responds with, “Oh, I think you should have a credit here.” So out of pure luck and happening to ask about a charge, I save about $500 that would have been lost. We continue and get to the end of the signing and they ask for the check to wrap up and the amount needed to close went from $4k to $8k. Mind blown (and being extremely thankful we had money in the bank) we get a check to them so the paperwork can make it on time. However, I wasn’t going to let it go until I knew I wasn’t being screwed over... turns out the amount WAS correct but, according to my lender, this title company only bothered to send over their fees and didn’t think it was worth actually reading the contract that we had with the purchasers until 7:30PM the night before closing. So finding out that the information was there from the very beginning (about a month) to get it right, I don’t think it’s fair for me to have to take the blunt of their mistake and have to come up with double the money needed to close. Talked to the office manager AND regional manager at the same time where I was basically told that I should be happy, cause in the end, I was in my home and that if I was so concerned, why didn’t I look through the paperwork myself. First point, I’m not sure how many people could come up with an extra 4 grand in a morning which means I could have easily not been able to close and had lost the house I was purchasing due to their poor documentation review and preparation which could have also led to weeks of hotel and other costs. Second, I thought that I was paying for a service where their ONLY job is to review and get the paper work right. In the end, I was the one that got crapped on and the only thing they could do was thank me for helping them learn and get better (I’m super happy that I was able to teach them purely at my expense). Oh, and they missed some paperwork that we were suppose to sign with “wet ink” which led to us overnighting paperwork... please do yourself a favor and find a title company that knows what they are doing.
I hope I never have to close on a house with the company again. We were only signed for 6 months. They lost a check that need to be sent to our insurance company then months later they lost another check that needed to be applied to our mortagage months before and because of that our escrow increase 80$.Im editing my post a week later from when I wrote it originally. The manager gave me a call and helped explain everything that happened and I appreciated that call.
First American Title company is actuallyTitle Financial Corp. They are a private group who are without concern for compliancewith ethics or law. Highly unethicalCorporate structure and hire accordingly. They have no regard for honesty, fiduciary duty are the law. Expect them to manipulate the Escrow, withold information and lie consistently.Bob Sewell is a deceitful, unethical manwho encourages and supports this conduct.Sean Chapin ircn Montana First Americandeliberately harassed us throughout the process, attempted to dictate who was paid what, interferes in a court judgement, all dictated by his very frail ego.Worst company, worst Escrow experience ever. These people are to be avoided. They are scoundrels.
The only reason why Im giving them one stars cuz I cant give him zero to do a review. When youre selling your house they dont let you know if theres any liens on your place until you go in to sign so you dont have any options to get it taken care of before you go in and sign will never use them again. They dont know how to do there job. Its all a surprise when you go in.
Made a mistake. Made it right with me. Go9d people trying hard to do right.
