They were so wonderful. They changed my tire quick even tho they were so busy. I had a hole the size of a gold ball on the side of my tire so it needed to be completely replaced. Got me in and out. Very nice staff, very attentive and professional. I highly recommend this location. Look at the picture of my tire they replaced.

Went there to get some brake pads replaced last April. Was told the whole brake system had to be replaced. The shocks had to be replaced(but said check with manufector may still be under warranty) and battery was leaking. Total cost over $1000. I went to leave and they asked what were you looking to spend? I said around $200 for the pads. They just did the rear pads for around $200. The Nissan Sentra was just purchased after my three year lease. And since I work remotely, I barely drove it last year. I took it to the dealership and they told me the brakes and battery are fine. They replaced the front brake pads.

DO NOT COME TO THIS MAVIS AUTO REPAIR UNLESS YOU LIKE TO BE INTIMIDATED AND SCAMMED! I came in to see if my tire could be patched to which the service manager then deflated my tire and told me I had to get a new one. The only option he gave me was a tire that cost over 200 dollars which I then told him was not in my budget. He would not give me back my car and now I have to have it towed although they are not legally allowed to keep my car. My tire had a slow leak something that could have waited one more day until I was able to purchase new tires from... Do not give your money to these scam artists ! I will be going to All-Weather tire to get the service done.

Mell and chris took great care of me the first time and came in again to get a weird tire pressure done as usual Mell’s cheery self is a pleasure to see and promptly took amazing care of the car. Very fair very professional and overall this is the only Mavis I will be going to for now on.

Mell’s team at the Mavis Discount Tire at 20 W Jericho Tpke in Huntington took outstanding care of me. I drove in on a Sunday morning with a horrible grinding sound from my breaks. Mell diagnosed the problem just from hearing the car as I drove in: the metal from a worn pad, probably as the result of a frozen caliper, was grinding against the back of the rotor. He put the car on the lift and showed me the big groove carved into the rotor. I was going to need new pads and rotor. In other shops they would probably have insisted I also get a new caliper but Mell quickly unstuck it, saving me that additional expense. I knew then I was in good hands. Mell’s team began the work while he drove out to pick up a new rotor (no deliveries on Sunday). In less than three hours I drove out with brand new brakes at a very reasonable price. The human touch they added was a great part of the experience. I always felt they were going the extra mile to provide an excellent service. The team was communicative, professional, and projected trustworthiness. Mell’s good humor, in particular, was disarming. I highly recommend this Mavis—five out of five stars! Mell was very courteous. I thought I was going to have to leave the car and come back later but Mell told me 20 to 25 minutes. I waited a little bit longer but it was better way than the whole day.

First off id like to start by saying i don’t normally do these but Mell was super professional! He was extremely nice, and went ABOVE AND BEYOND!!!! My girlfriend had blew out a tire on our way home, me being a tradesman not knowing when i get home from work the next day and my girlfriend working late there was no way we would make it in time to pick up her tire the next day.He had given us options including staying late just so we can make it to get the tire because the tire we needed, no chain on Long Island had in stock. We had decided to leave the rim and try and get the wheel the next day. Mell had called us back because not only did he find a tire for us, but he was having it brought from upstate NY to his shop and we were going to have the wheel done that day. I strongly recommend seeing Mell for any car complications you may encounter especially if its tires! Five stars just isn’t enough for the customer service and experience i had with this shop, ive previously had bad experiences with another mavis but Mell definitely changed that outlook.

I broke two tires after the snow storm. The store was about to close however, the manger Ally, still took my car in. Everyone at the store was super helpful and kind. They all made sure I got back on the road safe and sound.

TERRIBLE SERVICE! Ive had several cars over the past 15 years and Ive never experienced such awful service in my life. Went for an oil change and and inspection. Completely tried to screw over my 1.5 year old car. I drove to work now less than 24 hours later and my tire pressure light went off - tire is going flat. Idk what they did to my car but I am never going back here and I suggest everyone else stay far away.**Edit: I called the phone number posted in the response comment by the owner, it was a corporate Mavis office. They said they would leave a message for the District Manager to contact me and follow up on qmy complaints and experience. I called and they never called back or followed up. What a joke. This whole process was expensive, frustrating and quite simply, horrendous.

Worst place ever! I dropped off my 2020 Dodge Challenger to get my suspensions lowered @11am!!! Parts were brought in by me! There were barely any customers there & they took over 6 hours to install them!! And charged me $410 to get it installed. I didn’t want to argue or make myself look like a fool at the place so I paid & I left. Never again!! Manager overcharged and took forever to get the work done! Pathetic!

Russel and all the guys are so sweet and always seem to find time to accommodate me. I have been to other Mavis’s in the area and it’s not the same. I have to say it was a great experience for them first of all to be there to help during this time and on a Sunday I needed brakes on my car. I was in at 12 my car was done before 2 on a Sunday. The staff is very friendly and professional. And the fact that they have a female working there is even better it makes it less intimidating for a woman to go in to get her car fixed. Used to be a great location under previous manager. Came in most recently for a single tire mount and was told to wait a minimum of two hours. Seems a little extreme for a 3 minute job.

This is an outstanding representation of quality service at affordable prices. The management team and staff at this Huntington location is honest, trustworthy, and dependable not just with tires, but repairs of all kinds. I brought my Mazda 6 to this and other locations and always come back to this shop, even after moving to the South Shore. They kept my car going through some pretty lean years financially and in the worst winters. Now in better days, my son is driving that same car with over 100,000 miles on it. As I now enjoy my new convertable Chrysler, my college age son continues to bring the car to Huntington Mavis for regular maintenance and repair. Work always done reasonably, on time, and on his budget. Never have any issues with their repairs.Thank you Mike and all the guys at Huntington Mavis. You are our family repair and tire shop. Went in for an oil change, drove around the whole day witnessing white smoke coming out from under my hood. Figured its just some excess oil burning, but it kept increasing. I pulled over to a 7/11 and saw they never put my oil cap back on. Oil splattered everywhere, including my serpentine belt and electronics. Just bought this car and this happens! Reading the reviews here, they seem to be negligent and incompetent, repeatedly !

I recently had both brakes and tires installed on my Toyota Avalon and could not be more pleased with everything! Everyone, from the managers to the installers were courteous, helpful, and friendly. The prices are good and the whole operation appears to be very efficient and well run.

Told us it would take an hour and half to do a wheel alignment and I had to wait almost 4 hours. Every time I asked the guy at the counter he would look at my car and guess how much more time. I will never take my car here again. This is the 2nd time they do this. I tried to give them a second chance... never again.

If you see this review do not go to this tire store. Bad service, damaged my rim. They damaged my car, they refuse to accept the mistake, people with bad costume sevice if you want good service do not go to this location

The customer service was excellent. They were up front about what service I needed and didnt try to sell me any other service that wasnt necessary just to get money. The knowledge and detail about what was needed to maintain my vehicles safety was outstanding.

Called to do brakes when I brought my car was told they had no time to do brakes and mind you I called way ahead of time and they called me to remind me of appointment if they couldnt do brakes I could have went to another location. Waste of my time and I should have read more reviews

This is where you want to go to get your car damaged and then have them lie about it right to your face. I cannot believe how rude the tire tech is. Stating I curbed the car, when the damage to the rim is vertical not following the motion of moving tire. Then he said well you must have drove over a curb and dropped the car. So how come NO damage to the tire? Oh and who would do that in a BMW 750?

An absolute nightmare of an experience. Brought my car there and there was literally no wait to have 3 wheels balanced and then the car aligned. They pulled my car in and it sat on the lift for an hour and a half while the technicians were clowning around. Then the manager comes and tells me that the tires I provided were incorrect meanwhile they were the identical tires that were already on the car. Then they proceed to tell me that the front struts were leaking. I asked them to show me and the technician was pointing at the struts and I asked to show me where the leak was. Long story short he couldnt as they were bone dry. Another hour passes and they finally have the wheels mounted and balanced as the technicians were still clowning around dropping my wheels on the face side and Im literally watching them do all this laughing at the whole experience and how pitiful and unprofessional they were. At this point its been nearly 3 hours to mount and balance 3 wheels so I go inside and say I dont want an alignment Ill take it somewhere else. They ring me up and try to add on some bogus charges that I had to dispute. From there i went to sts tire center right up the road and my car was aligned in 20 minutes. What a better experience it was to go to sts i shouldve just done that in the first place. Now Im heading home and noticing a weird sound coming from my front right wheel. I looked over the wheels and noticed the Technician stacked 4 rows of weights on the inside of my wheel equaling a minimum of 8 pounds of weights on the 1 spot and in case some of you might not know, thats a lot of weight, typically it takes half a pound to balance out certain areas of a wheel. The weights were stacked so high and improperly they were hitting the caliper of the car. Absolutely frustrated with all of this I go back to Mavis and demand my money back and noel and Russell were denying me a refund saying it would mess up there drawers since they already closed them out, as if that was my problem. They were quick to take my money, send me out on the road with unsafe and improper repairs but refused to do anything about it. Save yourself the headache and go to sts. For the record I work in the automotive industry and I was able to identify all of their mistakes without any issue, most people might not be able to but I can tell you that these guys are untrained and unprofessional.

Was ther for tire change this morning . I was ther 8:14 am other clients there as well . Shop NOT open as manager who has key had not arrived yet . Not raining g or snowing out . I may hv off today but many errands are to be done and upsetting shop not open in a Timely manner . I left n they lost a sale .

Almost 2 hours to get 2 tires, they were not busy at all, 2 people came in after me, and they both left before me. And they left a few scratches on my rims. Manager tried to say it was curb rash when it was very clearly not.

Honestly, this place is good for tires but they seem shaddy. Went in to have my tire changed, when the guy said I should have a wheel alignment done as well. I said no and took it home. Surprise suprise, my wheel alignment is off by 10 degrees. They will mess your car up to get more business. Dont trust them

Incompetent, always looking for extra ways to make a buck. Told me that power steering fluid that was flushed 20 miles prior to visiting vneeded to be replaced. Never again.

I will never get my tires and my brakes pad replace at this location anymore. I was there yesterday to check on low air. They told me they unable today. But I will only able drop the car and pick up next working day.

Went to Mavis on Jericho Tpk, HSassistant manager knew I was there and waited for more than 15m to tell me he cant fix my flat tire, I asked if I could go to another Mavis he said No, go to a local spot, came to Mavis on Walt Whitman, Melville they couldnt fix my tire because it was a major damage but I bought a new one and they installed.

They tried to rip me off and screw me by putting the work I had done with all of the warranties under some random person. Then when I went to use the warranty, they tell me if I can not produce the receipt since they can not find it, they will charge me full price. The manager is the only one that puts in the vehicle information. How do you mistake a hybrid foreign car for a American suv? This is how they get over on people and keep the profits up.

Horrible, no Customer service qualities. Managers are inexperienced in understanding treads, wear and tear. I asked questions and got smoke blown up my a**.

Great service! I went to a Mavis in my neighborhood and they didnt have the tire I needed. They checked on their computer and found that the Mavis in Huntington Station did have it, so they printed a map and gave it to me. The Huntington Station Mavis sold me the tire at a good price and put it on the car. When I discovered that my local Mavis hadnt given me back my receipt for the tire purchase there in 8/13, this Mavis volunteered to call them and have them fax a copy to me so I wouldnt need to go back there. I had to go back to Mavis after driving 25 miles to retorque the tire. At that point I was in Westbury so I went to a Mavis there, and there were very polite and helpful-they retorqued all 4 tires, not just the one I bought. Mavis is a wonderful franchise-I would recommend them.

Went to mavis to remove snow tires, and put on the regular radials. Seems simple enough right? Not for these clowns.. After they balanced the tires, i had nothing but problems on the highway whgen braking. The whole front was shaking. My daughter also went in to get pads on her hoinda, and the mgr told her she needed a caliper. About a month after they put on the caliper, she was on the hwy, and the brake pedal went to the floor. When she brought it back, she was told the caliper CAME OFF!! The manager is rude, and they dont know what they are doing.!!! RUN as fast as you can from this mavis!!! If possible i would give zero stars!!

My son took his car here for inspection. They told him it needed $650 in repairs to pass. We spoke to a mechanic friend who told us the things they said he needed should not have failed his car. We then took the car to Pep Boys and it passed with no problems! Needless to say my family will not be using Mavis again.
