Called this company about a week ago and left a detailed message. I even sent pictures. Never got a call back or any kind of response. Very poor customer service.

DO NOT USE this Business.Said he would start the job, but did not start as schedule.Never Called to say he was late. After I called him, he said he would start at 10:30 am. Once he arrived to my home, he was not dressed or prepared to do the job.Instead, he gave an excuse why he could not start the job. Note, he never told me told me he could not do the job when I called him on the phone.Stole my deposit, by not providing a refund.

Kevin and crew were wonderful and the completed job even better. We had some very bad looking hardwood floors that looked like they needed refinishing 17 years ago when we first moved in. Today they look absolutely wonderful! We are wondering why it took us so long!

I cannot recommend this company. The owner came into my house with an attitude, spent 3 minutes looking at the damage, asked two questions (How much water got under the floor. Ans: I dont know, gallons, and Was it remediated (dried)? Ans: yes.He said he did not want the job, turned and headed for the door without explanation. When I asked why (to his receding back), he said because I dont believe you. Never even looked at me. Not once.I ask Why? About what? He refused to answer, just walked out and drove away.I have never experienced a more bizarre, inexplicable encounter with another person.

After a horrible experience with unknown contractors I was lucky enough to find Kevin and his crew.After 3 different flooring quotes, I knew Hardwood flooring was the one. Kevin did exactly what he said he would do. He never missed an appointment. The crew was on time and professional and most importantly, we are extremely satisfied with the results. Over 3,000 SF of natural stained red oak (two floors with stairs) were sanded and re-stained a dark antique brown. We also had a small area repaired that matched the original. Though changing thickness of the wood planks, the transition was seamless and you can hardly tell its a different repair/installation. He responded quickly to our project, finished it in the time planned, for a reasonable cost that was right on target with his estimate. Highly recommend them for any flooring project.

Our hardwood floor is about 10 year old. There were scratches everywhere on the floor. Kevin and his crew did a very good job to restore the floor to its former glory. And the price for the job is reasonable. I definitely will recommend him to my friends.

Kevin Pham visited our house twice and was very responsive to our requests for several iterations of estimates involving more or less work. He was able to work within our vacation schedule to minimize the time we would have to spend out of the house while the floors were being refinished and the varnish was curing. Despite a 3-way communication breakdown between me, my husband, and Kevin about when my husband would be joining me on vacation and therefore when my husband would have to have furniture moved and make a key available, Kevin was willing and able to follow my pretty complicated instructions to find our well-hidden spare key, and his crew carefully moved our furniture (at a fair labor price). The floors themselves look beautiful. The work was delayed by a couple of days, which meant that my husband did end up spending one night in a fume-y house when he probably should have stayed in a hotel instead, but we are very pleased with the results.

I had engineered cherry hardwood floors in poor shape showing over 10 years of traffic, dog scratches, spills etc.Kevin gave me a reasonable quote, started the job when I scheduled, finished early and the quality exceeded my expectations.Everyone agrees the floors look brand new!Kevin knows hardwood floors and I was impressed with his no deposit policy and the customer not paying until satisfied with the results!

I hired Kevin to refinish my floors. The crew he subcontracted out were two hispanic men that did not speak English. Three different issues came up where I could not communicate my concerns to the two men. Kevin did not answer any of my three calls during this period. The crew was very fast paced, in and out. They did a good job, but I felt very rushed during the process. I ended up contacting a different company to finish the remainder of the job. The company is Floors 2 Luv. Im very pleased with their work. The bottom line is I feel you should be able to communicate with the company you hire to do a job for you.

We are remodeling an old house in The Heights and hired Kevin to refinish the hardwood in one room, and lay new hardwood in another area. The new hardwood looks great. The refinished floor... not so much. The crew did not take the time to fill in large gaps or feather in new wood where the old was not accepting stain evenly. We contacted him to buy his special stain and continue the work but after several attempts at obtaining the product he inexplicably left us hanging. He was a nice guy, but the lack of attention to detail and follow through would lead me not to recommend his company.

Kevin was a man of his word! I called Kevin to come out and look at some water damaged, engineered wood flooring we had on a property we were selling. We set up a meeting at the residence on my lunch hour...which he was on time for the meeting. We looked over my problem and he provided me with two options as a solution to my problems. Once we agreed on a price...the work began. These guys worked amazingly fast and did an outstanding job with the final product. If I ever need another floor put down, I know I will look for Kevin to be the guy!

We had an unfortunate experience with our movers when they dropped a metal cabinet down our wood stairs. They ruined the wall, several stairs and the tile floor. Kevin came out within 2 hours and his crew worked throughout the weekend to restore the wood stairs to like new. His crew was great and the work was excellent. We were able to close on our home on Monday as scheduled. Without his help, we would have had to delay our closing.Thank you Kevin and crew!!

Our floors look great! I am very happy with the service and Kevin was very accessible whenever I had questions.

Bottom line: I had to call the police and did; he cursed me repeatedly and threatened me for not being willing to pay him before the polyurethane had dried allowing me to see IF his repairs to his work helped correct his problems. Then a week later, after I paid the price on our contract, he sends me a surprise invoice for $475 for “moving furniture” and threatens legal action.The job was done in December but I waited until we moved out of town to post this because of his threats. Talks a good game but the finished product quality was poor because of many noticeable swirls in the wood, probably because of of my observation of no quality control process and little or no management oversight to catch those issues during the sanding phase for which I was at home.The owner of this supposed “refinishing company” appears to subcontract his refinishing jobs to independent refinishing crews (see other reviews that said same). I say this because two of his workers did not even know who I was referring to when I mentioned Kevin. Ask him if the guys to do your job are in the picture of his crews on his websitem (mine were not). And see the Google reviews posted three and seven months before this, which describe the same subcontracting issue. Most importantly, if you use this low bidder, have your contract specify that you will use the finished product evaluation criteria of a reputable organization. The risk of using this guy is that he subcontracts your job to a poor quality crew and you have to hire another refinisher with real employees to redo the work forcing you out of your house another whole week and maybe requiring new wood be installed. And when he tells you, like he did me, that the dark swirls in your floor are a “normal/part of every on-site job”, pull out your contract which should specify how disputes will be resolved.No matter who you hire, inspect the sanding after the stain is applied and before the polyurethane is applied because you can see the swirls caused by the circular sanders only after the stain is applied. If you wait until two days later after two coats of polyurethane are applied, they will have much more work to undo and redo to fix swirls, forcing you out of the house several more days. And they will be extremely less willing to fix the work after two coats of polyurethane have been applied. If you go out of town, have a friend do the inspection midweek.One more piece of advice, that I did not use and regret: have a sealer put on the floor before the stain or else you will have very dark and much lighter areas on the surface of most boards. Dense grain absorbs the stain more than the pulp sections of the board. See any refinishing of hardwood articles, esp. ones about doors, and they will strongly recommend sealing the wood to prevent the problem.Undoubtedly this post will evolve into a he-said-she-said with the middle man posting that this is all a lie, just like he did with the two other bad reviews noted above that posit he is just a middle man. Yes, most of the other Google reviews of Kevin are good but most of them praise his being on time and talking a good game rather than the quality of the product. Those who wrote earlier reviews and were satisfied with the quality most likely did not have floors stained the now popular darker colors which showcase swirls if not sanded well, which was my issue and which he would not fix properly, just applied more polyurethane that did not help. The internet and its information like this will make us all informed consumers.

This company is competitively priced and outstanding install and work ethic. Highly recommend.
