I called around to multiple glass companies in Houston to get a quote for the repair of a single broken pane in an older interior french door. Lone Star Glass was one of the few companies that said they could handle the task.Hayden quickly got me a rough quote based on pictures and dimensions I sent him. Based on my experience, the price was reasonable considering labor, technicality of the job, and the quality customer service.We were able to get work scheduled a few days after I got the quote. I received a call the morning of the repair to confirm I was on schedule. The glass repair technician Erik showed up later that day. Erik was able to communicate effectively with me and confirm that the repair had been completed.As someone who has to manage a property from out of state, I appreciated Lone Star Glasss commutation, honesty, and timeliness.Although I hope to never have any broken glass in my future, I know I will be reaching out to Lone Star Glass again if and when that day does arrive.

I had broken the glass in our cabinet door, right before Mother’s Day... ouch right.. I immediately got the eyes from my wife and knew it needed to be fixed before Sunday. I called and spoke to an amazing lady at the front desk, I lost her card I think it was Raquel. They were about to close on Friday and are closed on the weekends.... I begged and she said she would come in on Saturday morning to give me my door, but to let it sit before hanging. Not only did it get me out of the dog house but no one even knew it was broken days before. So saved the stories... thank you sooo much and you guys always knock it out of the park.

Lone star started off great, but has declined. They have now screwed up three orders. This most recent one is the last straw. I ordered three pieces of tempered rain glass on May 26. I was told they would be in by the 1st . Come the 4th, and I have to call and ask where my glass is. Finally comes in, leaving me heading into Houston at 3 on a Friday. One of three pieces is made wrong. Tell them I have to have it ASAP. 4 calls on Monday-each time someone will call me back, but they don’t. Finally, after hours, via text, my glass won’t be available to pick up until Tuesday afternoon. It’s been ready since mid day on Monday, but they can’t find anyone to go get it. I offer to get it from the tempering company, but I am told I can’t do that.Frustrated beyond belief!Our company is small, but we are still a customer. Tomorrow starts us using another company.
Customer services outstanding. They have not yet started the work, however so far so good. We will come back after the project will be finished.

Update - I appreciate your response but I do want to point out that I also emailed your comapny directly. No one ever contacted me or reached out to apologize. I would have expected a personal repsonse so I stand firm on my review of the poor customer service.It started the week of the ice storm on 2/16 when we had a window shatter. I immediately called in to find out if this was something that could be handled by your team. It was a difficult week for everyone so I was very understanding that yall prob could not come out that week but I did follow up several times and each time I was told someone would get back with me when yall opened which did not happen. I still gave yall the benefit of the doubt and called on Monday 2/22 and was told someone would reach back out. Same thing occurred 2/23. Finally on 2/24 I called and a lady assisted me and got someone scheduled to come out and do the measurement. She estimated on the phone the cost would be somewhere between $1,000-$1,500 knowing the size (I had rough measurements) and that It was a third story window.2/25 an individual came out and did the evaluation for the measurement. He also stated he though it would be around $1,000-$1,500 and would be 2-3 weeks till someone could actually fix the window. The estimate never got sent which I thought might just be an oversite so I called the week of 3/1 and was told someone would get back with me. That did not occur. I called again the week of 3/8 and was told yall were working on it and would get back to me. Again that did not occur.Finally on 3/16 (today) I called pretty frustrated that it had been almost 3 weeks since the evaluation and we had made no progress. I got an indiviual on the phone who did assist in getting me the estimate while on the phone. The estimate was almost double what both Raquel and the estimator had quoted at $2,300. He then told me it would be up to 5 weeks till someone could come out and fix it. I asked why the original estimate was lower and why the timeframe had now doubled when it had already been close to 3 weeks since the original evaluation was done. He told me there was really nothing he could do and this is a COVID-19 problem. I explained my frustration and that I wanted to get this moving quickly and stated it did not seem like your team wanted to help us or do this job. A that time he told me I should find another company. I got off the phone but decided to call back in and asked to speak to a supervisor as I did not think telling me to find another provider after my patience thus far was appropriate. The same indiviual answered again and he stated there was no one above him and there was no one else I could speak too . He then told me he decided not to work with me because he got bad vibes from our conversation and that when you start off on the wrong foot it is better just to find someone else. Your company has given me the run around and now I am being accused of being unreasonable when I have been more than patient over a 4 week period. He eventually told me he would have someone call me later because his boss was likely in bed- I figured that will likely not happen so I chose to share my feedback via email.The kicker for me was I actually at this point just wanted to get it done even after the convo I felt that was very inappropriate for someone in customer service but then he tells me the next step is to have someone come out again and re-measure and potentially break the glass so they could have an accurate order. It would not be until that was done that the glass could even be ordered. At that time I decided I needed to find a new company as I had reached by breaking point and was brought to tears by our conversation.In a nut shell I think there was probably never any intentions of doing our job which honestly I do understand because the three stories is something that not everyone wants to handle but to make me go through this experience for a month just seems unnecessary. It has only delayed me getting this fixed with someone who would like to do the job.

Ive never had glass cut for a project before. I tried 3-4 places in Houston who either turned me away due to the size of the order or told me I was using the glass for the wrong project (an aquarium). I went online this business and received a quote the next day. Then the order was ready the following day.On top of it all, I messed up my measurement. I returned the glass and was ready to pay the difference. They fixed it less than 24 hours free of charge. Very nice people, professional company and quick. Highly recommend and will be back for future needs/projects. Also great prices. I paid 1/10 of what some sites were charging.

Although I have not yet had a commercial transaction with Lone Star, I experienced an excellent service interaction with Lone Star and Rachel this past Valentines Day.I was returning home with my wife on Sunday night when my Harley stopped running, thus I ended up parking my bike in Lone Stars parking lot.Monday morning when I called Rachel and Lone Star they were so friendly and supportive. Not only did they assure me that it was OK for my bike to be in their parking lot they told me they would keep a watch and pro actively asked for my mobile number. When the people arrived to tow my bike I received a call from Rachel.Based on this superb experience Lone Star Glass will be my 1st choice in the future.
Had two windows tinted on my pickup. Everyone was very nice, work was done in only half an hour - they estimated one hour. Work was excellent. This is the third time Ive used them in 15 years. Always great quality and service.
A Great Glass Company, the employees are friendly and thorough. We had a Residential Home Window break during the most recent freeze in Houston, Texas and we had the fortune of David Pickett to come out and replace our window. This did take about 2 months as Lone Star had to research the type of glass and tint of our windows since our home is 14 years old. Also the trim type had to be special ordered as the original type brought out would not stay put on the Glass. David came out 3 times to get our window right. I would also like to compliment the other employees that worked with us to get our window replaced. These are Leah, Rachael, Christopher, Eric, and the 2 helper assistants that came out with David Pickett. My apartment complex had a wave if car break ins last night. Woke up to a car with a shattered window and insides covered in shards of glass. Lone Star Glass replaced the window incredibly quickly, and cleaned all of the glass for me. The price was very reasonable too. Eric was a great help. Definitely recommend these guys.

My father taught me to measure twice, cut once. They guys at Lone Star did exactly that. Did a great job checking and double checking their work to make sure I got exactly what I needed.
Carlos was great to work with and he was very professional The installers did an excellent job and we love the results.
I got the feeling that these guys took no pride in installing their product into my project. One piece of glass was installed 3 time before getting it right, but not before denting and puncturing my stainless steel counter top. They installed a frameless door with the manufacturers label upside down and at eye level. They dont seem to want to solve a problem, but rather stick the glass in the whole and leave before anyone notices. And the prices are high end.

Worst customer service. I have been trying to get a quote for several days. Following an initial phone call to Monica, I sent an email with pictures and dimensions the following day. Received no reply. Followed up with a phone call to make sure she received the email and spoke with a coworker who said she would have her call me...no response. Called back later that evening...finally spoke with her again and she indicated that she would have the quote out that evening. Received nothing...sent a follow-up email later that day. Still nothing. Going elsewhere...with that kind of up front service or lack there of, I would hate to see what the service would be like on the installation. Very poor.
When we had a real emergency situation (a smash and grab robbery), which left our retail showcases in ruins, Stanley and Lone Star Glass made the situation bearable. On a SATURDAY morning mind you, Stanley came out, measured and cut glass for us, and we had complete replacements installed by 2pm the same day!We will not call anyone else for our glass needs, LONE STAR GLASS is it!

Lone Star Glass didnt want my business. I called the office and sent an email with window dimensions and a picture of the broken window as I was speaking to the a representative, so they could prepare an estimate. I followed with an email a few days later, and I never received a response. A competing glass company sent me an estimate within minutes of speaking to them; I went with the competing company.
