I have been to this location about 5 times in the last month to pick up packing supplies and then today to rent a truck for my move. I am so lucky to have Rhonda running my local Uhaul facility, she really runs a tight ship, each experience has been good, and today she went above and beyond for us when there was a hiccup with my online truck reservation. Great customer service!

Great service, and open longer hours than a lot of other U-Haul facilities. We’ve used lots of rental companies, but this is one of the friendliest and most efficient with a wide variety of equipment available.
I’m not sure how to say this nicely but pretty useless employee that was suppose to fill up my propane tank. He had no idea of what he was doing and kept letting the gas out the just said I’m not going to fill it your tank is broken, sure it was, for it filled somewhere else
I had a hitch attached to my Rav4 vehicle (to tow bikes) at this location and it was a great overall experience which I am attributing to who I believe was the supervisor - Rhonda HolHSL and the team working at this location. First, I used the uhaul website which allowed me to schedule an installation day and time. Someone called me to confirm that I would be there based on my scheduled appointment. I showed up on time (which is critical). I dropped off my vehicle then I received a call later in the day to pick it up. When I dropped it off, it was an easy drop off process and I received instructions. When I picked up my vehicle, the paperwork was already ready. I checked the work done and it looks solid. So awesome experience. It is a busy place, so may I suggest patience in this busy world.
The employees here went above and beyond to help us in moving a pickup truck. We made a reservation with no problem, arrived 20 minutes before closing( we rushed there as fast as we could after making the reservation) and the employees were not only friendly, but extremely helpful. From helping hook up the trailer, to volunteering to help load the truck up after closing time. Would do business here again.
GO ELSEWHERE TO RENT TRUCKS! I reserved a 15 box truck online four days in advance for Saturday. First, two of the three employees working the desk were not wearing a mask. I get the keys, walk out to the truck and the battery is being charged. The charger was then disconnected and I was ASSURED that the truck was good to go - it wouldnt start. So, back inside to redo paperwork and get another truck. I leave, get out on Hwy 6 in the replacement truck and the motor sounds like it has zero oil in it - then the oil light comes on so I drive back. Their response was, Oh, it always does that, its okay. If you have a breakdown just call the 1-800 Help Line on the paperwork and theyll bring you another truck. So Im expected to drive a POS truck a 90 mile round-trip through the city across town and back! Unloading and reloading the replacement truck (if needed) is my problem. This place is run by incredibly uncaring and inept people. So, after having people standing-by to help me move furniture, the effort was a total waste of time thanks to U-Haul.

Please learn from my mistake. Don’t rent a one way van from here . I was so horrified at the gross negligence and lack of follow up and care from UHaul that it has actually taken me a full year to write this review without emotion. On 7/11/18 I booked a DC-15” 2050H Moving van from this facility located on Hwy 6 in Houston to arrive in Phoenix at the 3846 E Thunderbird location. Robert Widra was our sale person. I asked if it was in good condition to travel the 1300 miles. He assured me it was. I had movers pack up the van and away I went. The first night I stopped off at a motel outside of San Antonio. Since it was a big rig I had to park next to a diesel bus. I left to go on my way at 4:00 am to get a good head start. It was dark Approaching the bus and the van I smelled gasoline but thought it was just the bus and went on my way. I didn’t find out until I arrived in Phoenix that I was given a van whose gas tank was rigged with “duct tape and glue” and I was traveling in 100 degree plus temperature over 1300 miles with gas leaking out of the tank the whole way. Talk about fear!! The person with me was a smoker!! I didn’t figure it out until we arrived in Phoenix and started unloading (It took 4 hours). In that time frame the gas had dripped onto the street and I could smell gas again. I had my friend look under the van to see what in the world was going on. We saw that the tank hole was filled with some type of Superglue substance. The gas ate right through it. When we dropped off the van at Thunderbird, very upset. I asked to speak to the manager on duty and explain what happened. He seemed very disinterested and said Thanks for letting me know. That was it. No apology. No, “we take things like this seriously “... Nothing. I have heard stories that one way trips are stacked with vehicles a station wants to get rid of. Now I know it’s true. I am disgusted with the lack of respect for human life from this organization. I have a video show the rigged patch job with the velocity of the drips but Google reviews doesn’t allow video uploads
Horrible customer service, substantive attrition, and money grabbers. I’d recommend renting from UHAUL’s competitors, like Life Storage of which my experience there was voluminously better than this company.
Recently visited to rent a pickup truck. Employees were extremely rude as they seemed to be non responsive as my friend and I entered. The basic manners of greetings were non existent, coming from 4 adults. Basically my friend and I were completely ignored while standing right in front of these employees faces. They only finally helped us when I asked them to. And upon return the pickup truck, one male employee went to check the truck, as he entered the vehicle, he proceeded to make a phone call for a friend while completely ignored our presence. Again, I had to speak up and asked if everything was good to go. I felt like he was completely zoned out and totally forgot we were there in front of his face. Terrible service!! A wast of time!! Please avoid!!
Huge thank you to Randy at copperfield UHaul. Had to check in online after-hours and the app kept erroring out. He assisted me with checking in my truck and saved the rest of our evening

I reserved a truck 4 days in advance. When I got to the location the truck I needed was down. Call your customers and let them know or beware of the situation and call another store to reserve at another location for your customer. With no customers means no job. Pay attention.

Wish there was a no star for this place. Obviously this place is under new management because I have used this location several times in the past without an issue. Today I went to have my 2 RV propane tanks refilled. Right away I could tell I was going to have issues. There was a dirty diaper on the ground in the parking lot. Trash all over the place. I parked at the propane refill station where there is a sign that reads push button for service. The button was broken open and missing the battery so I proceeded inside. I saw an employee and told him I needed propane tanks refilled.He told me to go put my tank on the scale and he would have the guy come out to fill it. As I was walking back to my vehicle I heard him tell a guy in the garage area that someone needed propane. The guy was under a vehicle putting on a hitch. The guy told that employee he would do it after he was finished putting on the hitch. The guy looks at me and says I should drive 5 miles down the road to another Uhaul to have my tanks refilled or I would have to wait. I told him I would wait. I sat for 35 minutes at this place and no one came out to fill my tanks. I put my tanks back in my truck and left. I went to a nearby Ace Hardware where I received the best customer service and got both my tanks refilled without an issue. My suggestion to anyone considering using this place is to go somewhere else if you want customer service. After some months of no business maybe the owner of this pace will fire all these useless employees and management and get some employees that care about providing customer service. When I opened the Google reviews the first one I noticed was a lady that has had 2 issues getting propane here. Go figure that. Wake up Uhaul and clean this place up. I will never use this location again.

This is the SECOND time I have come here to get a propane tank refilled and had issues. Pretty sure its because I am a woman and that it was 10 minutes before closing. Betting either the propane report was done for the evening or that the registers had been closed early. Whichever, I will never return.When I first pulled up, I spoke to the man who moments before had been at the refill station and then, acted like he was put out that I was asking for a refill. I asked if I should speak to someone else and he said he was coming...Second guy comes out, barely touches the tank, and I wasnt paying attention because I was reading the sign near the filling station onsite and says theres an issue with my tank and he cant fill it.Surprise.
Good customer service, I was in and out quickly, had no issues with a 20 foot truck. Had the truck 24 hours, drove 64 miles and ended up paying around $115 + the $20 I put in the gas tank.
Had a wonderful experience! After not having what I originally needed and being pushed to two different locations, Milo the store manager was able to still help me and my mother to have a great moving experience!

Called the number and made an appointment with the shop to install a trailer hitch. Was told parts were in stock and we were ready to go. Called back to see if I could move the appointment earlier and was told no but I could bring it in early in case they got done sooner. I got there and no one could do the work and no one had been notified. Apparently, the call center ....somewhere .....made the appointment and never checked to see if it was doable. I lost the entire purpose for the hitch and two days I had for moving things. Needless to say the call center doesnt have space for reviews.
Simple question on the phone, the gal transferred me all over. I had to drive to the store and ask someone other than her. Also, if you want a propane tank filled be ready for mr no personality.

Only one employee, who was tied up with a customer who had an issue. Ive been here waiting for 20 minutes to get a propane tank filled and dont see that it will be resolved quickly. ..........That customers issue was resolved. He left, the clerk then told me i had to wait untill the other two customers who arrived after me were attended because propane is secondary. I dont think its the attendants fault, but maybe they need someone else here in case the office fills up .If you need propane to get back to work do not come here because you will be secondary
We rented a small trailer. I reserved it yesterday, we picked it up today. They were very busy, so I did have to wait for a few minutes. The young men were friendly and helpful, however. Upon returning, same situation, but they got us out of there as fast as they could.

They have a lot of confusion going on. One person would say one thing and another something elses. If u want something dont here make sure you have enough time to do it. It is not a quick place or have a quick turn around.

I had an absolutely horrible experience with U-Haul during my move from Utah. The local Houston manager worked with this location and made everything right. Their save makes me comfortable recommending this location.

Unreliable service re: hitch installation. I originally scheduled a hitch installation at this location online. However, when I arrived at the Copperfield location for my scheduled appointment on Saturday August 5th, I was told that they did not have the hitch in their inventory. They offered to waive the installation fee if I allowed them to express order the hitch which should arrive the following Wed-Thu. I agreed and followed up with them on the following thursday. They said that the hitch had not arrived yet, but it should be there by Saturday August 12th and scheduled an appointment for me at 9am. I called the location at 8am on Saturday, August 12th to confirm that the hitch had arrived. They confirmed that it had, so I went to the location for my 9am appointment. However, when I arrived, they told me that they did not have the hitch. I was obviously confused by this. They said that the FedEx shipment usually arrives late morning and that it should be there soon. They never followed up with me, so I called them at 3pm. They told me that the hitch did not arrive, so I cancelled the order. This is completely unsatisfactory service not only by this location, but by Uhaul as a company. Never again will I nor anyone in my family use Uhaul.

We reserved a tow dolly a week ahead of time. We showed up and one of the lights wasnt working. All 3 dollies had an issue so we had to get a refund and go to another place. This process took way too long and the people did not seem interested in helping us. They even asked if we would take it with the light out. So unprofessional.

DO NOT GET THE 24 HOUR ACCESS!!! Went twice in the short time I used them after hours and was unable to gain access to my unit. When I was closing out my storage unit and mentioned it to them, the representative danced around the issue.

Service is horrific. They gave me appointment at 9:30 for fixing the hitch. But when we came at 9 am the person named ROBERT let me know that he is the only one can do it and he is busy cant dot it now. And my guy supposed to leave for west texas next day. They mass my job.

Hard to get a call back from someone but they did let me settle for 1% of what I owed on my storage locker! $5.00 on almost $500.00 bill and got to remove all my items.

He told us he did not have the trailer we needed, so we asked him to check the ones around the area. he told us he would only check the two closest to him because it would take too much time and he wouldnt look anywhere else. If I could give it less stars I would. Was literally told when I needed a propane tank filled after waiting 40 minutes ( they were really busy) that propane refills were secondary to the other customers. There were people walking in and getting service right away even after waiting as long as I did. I will go 10 miles out of my way now to avoid your store.
