Brad and his teams did a fantastic job remodeling our very old pool, and entire back yard. We had several changes and add- ons during the project and they worked with us to accommodate. I would have no issue recommending them. The work they did is just amazing ! This has been the first time we’ve had a competent pool repairman since we’ve owned the pool. It was a blessing. Very prompt and knew exactly what the issue was. Was fixed the first time unlike some of the other companies we’ve had out.

I have had my pool motor and timer replaced by them and neither of the items worked after a few weeks. When trying to contact them for repair, they have failed to return numerous calls.This is a company that you want nothing to do with.

I have had them come in the past and was satisfied as they always took care of the problem and are nice and knowledgeable. That has since changed. Every year I have a hose that breaks on my booster pump and pay $50 for a new one at Leslies. This year when it broke I replaced it then a week later it popped off so I called Competition to fix it. They told me the old owner did some DIY stuff poorly and without re-plumbing some things this would continue. I chose to have them re-plumb the pool and asked that they add a check valve since my heater is end of life and I plan to get a new one. After it was done and they left I noticed the hose I had just purchased was no longer in use. I emailed and asked where it was. I was told they took it as it was no longer needed. I told them I wanted it back so I could return it. I was met with a response telling me that Leslies wont accept returns like that. Well, thats not really the point, Im not in business of giving free pool parts to Competition Pool and Spa,. They told me they would bring it back. They didnt so when the bill came I paid it minus $50 and put a note that they would get the rest of the money when the hose was returned. They continue to bill me for $50. They can make things right with me still if they choose.My other issue is with the check valve they added. I have had 3 pool companies tell me when giving heater estimates that the check valve they installed for $75 is not the correct one and the new heater will not be covered under warranty with the one that is there because it has metal parts in it. I would be weary if it was one person who said it, but its 3. So now I am out another $75 because of Competition Pool and Spa. They are free to reach out to me to make things right, but it is 3 months later and they dont seem interested.

I used Ccompetition pools for my re plastering, new lighting and cool deck install about 4 years ago. Brad is great! His guys were professional and fast. I am in the process of selling that house. The pool and deck still look great. I highly recommend!

Competition Pools remodeled our pool completely this year. It was the second pool they have renovated for us over the years. He has the same crews from years ago and they are clean and courteous. We have referred them to many of our friends with good feedback. Stands behind his work. Highly recommend.

Competition Pools has been providing monthly pool cleaning service for several years and has routinely done repairs on all our pool equipment. We needed to have our 15 year old pool completely resurfaced last year and the folks at Competition Pools did a fantastic job! They drained and resurfaced the pool, replaced and upgraded the lighting system, and upgraded the pool cleaner. Our pool looks fantastic and the new LED lights are beautiful! The owner and his personnel are reliable, dependable, courteous, and very knowledgeable, and I highly recommend them.

This company was provided from our home warranty company ahs. I initially was concerned with him not scheduling quick enough but you know what...its pool season and he did call in a reasonable time. He came out and found our problem within seconds. He could have only spent 2 minutes with us to resolve the problem but instead he stayed to teach us how to prevent it from happening again. He even sent us links to cost efficient equipment. I am highly satisfied. Very helpful and knowledgeable.

This company was contacted by our home warranty after we experienced issues with our pool heater. They were knowledgable, timely, and professional. They answered the other questions we had regarding the pool as we just recently purchased the house. Was a positive experience and would use them again.

We had Competition Pools resurface/replaster our pool. He was knowledgeable and fair priced. His team came out and did a wonderful job. However, when Brad came the next day for follow up he noticed an error and sent the team out and it was remediated quickly. This was over the Thanksgiving holiday and we still received great customer service. I would recommend Competition Pools to anyone needing pool service.

Don’t use him. Just poor quality work. He’s a nice guy but waited till the last minute to do everything.We had him redo our pool 2015 and it looked good but leaked for 2 years after that. We had tests done and he said it was the light so he fixed it. We continued to have a soggy yard. We even had hydrostatic test done on our sewer for $400. thinking maybe it was the sewer pipes not the pool. Nope, it wasn’t the sewer. Finally my husband tested the water in our drain catch basin in the yard and it was salt water. We then had a pool leak detection company $350.00 find that both skimmer throats we leaking. Our landscaping all died from the salt water leaking and we had foundation problems. Had the leaks fixed for $450. by someone else.Also, He used a concrete stain on our pool deck instead of a heat shielding product for concrete which I had requested. He told me the spray deck and stain was the same thing as kool deck. It was not!! Our Pool deck was 126 degrees (we measured it with an infrared thermometer )and we couldn’t go outside during the summer because of the heat for 2 years!!We have since paid thousands of dollars to recoat the pool deck, fix the leaks plus a variety of other boo boos. The deck is now tolerable and the pool no longer leaks, no thanks to Brad.Beware!!

Somehow they are highly rated. In Nov. they replaced a seal on my motor to pump connection and it stopped leaking. Fidelity Home Warranty contracted with them to do service. I was told the seals last 3-5 years. Here we are 9 months later and it needs to be replaced again. Of course full charge again because it is out of the 30 day labor and 90 day parts warranty. I called teh number and left messages for 4 days, with no response, and finally got through and told I was out of luck. I cant give them a very high rating.

I have used them for 20 years and they have always been fair, fast and efficient. Brad Durchholz the owner has always been a man of his word and backs his work.

I will let you know how this plays out. I bought a house with a pool renovated by competition pools. My first dip, i discovered a broken inlet diverter. I replaced it with the same size and the increased pressure showed that I have a leak in the piping.I dont know why they wouldnt have replaced this diverter when they did the pool renovation. It is an 8$ item. The company has indicated that wasnt part of their work.All turned out well. Brad had a leak detector come out and find the leak. After a couple of weeks they came back and fixed it . Pool works as it should now and looks great.One minor glitch : There was some iron particles in the aggregate they used to patch the walk and rust spots showed up. I was able to chip these out.

Called a few times after they did an check after an American Home Shield visit. Left them a few messages, agreed with owner (Brad?) that I would be called back as I wanted some remodel and repair work done on our pool equipment ... 3 weeks later, still nothing ..

Budget friendly, knowledgeable and timely

I called a week ago and left a message. Still waiting.........
