An excellent place to go for all the help you need to get back on your feet. I highly recommend the Harmony House.
Its a good place for working people in need. Dont bother them if you are disabled and on SSI or disability. I contacted them today as I am about a week from being on the streets due to my disability preventing me from working. Im turning 68. I was told that they only accept people who are working...no exceptions. I guess Ill hit Walmart and get me a tent. The Salvation Army, HUD, and Public Housing Authority were no help at all. They didnt even bother responding to me. Harmony house doesnt care about Your situation if you have a job, Preston will welcome you. If you are disabled with income he does not.care. YOU MUST BE WORKING
Very caring place,caring nurses.and Drs.
Worthless staff. I took someone there to meet a counselor here instead of the Lord of the Street (much better staff and services) Minh was a bit late but the person at the desk refused to help her or let her waitThe unstable person became more unstable and created an unsafe encounter for me. The staff member is a dispicable human being for his actionsThe homeless and the mentally disabled are abused by some of the staff and at most locations run by organizations funded by grant money. Most of the grant monies are used by the owners to live well and hire low end staff. You have seen this in nursing homes owned by foriegn borns. I am an immigrant and this upsets me most as these people provide little comfort or follow standards of care. They just line their pocketsThe patient I brought in is a white female. This place is unsafe for her and Minhs boss should have known not to make her appointment there. Shameful. Needs to be inspected and managed better. How is a homeless or mentally unstable person supposed to navigate this system? How can they use the web sites and complicated processes that i have issues navigating? No wonder there are so many people on the streets.Mayor Turner and Lena Hidalgo do nothing to help or cleanup the isdue. Shameful politicians and bureacrats.
I lived here twice when i had nowhere else to go..was a real lifesaver..the place is what it is and i always am able to make the best of any situation. I have nothing bad to say about Harmony House but thanks and God Bless everyone there
Me and two friends of mine went to get our gold cards other day and everybody was real nice. ..the eligibility counselor Sharron was quick, efficient and super sweet - if everybody in healthcare was like he, people would feel a lot better.
Harmony House is a place for Working Men to get on their feet again. The reasonable cost for living quarters will help those working men save money and regain their confidence in starting their life over. The atmosphere of the place is based in fellowship and community between individuals who had a life event that changed their normal in life. Great place to regain confidence and start their lives in the right direction.
I live there for about five months in total I believe. My experience was good I believe its the best Bunkhouse in Houston. Its pretty much just for felons on parole but other people can possibly stay there. You have to have a job its the cleanest Bunkhouse they spray for bugs once a month and they actually sell some food and snacks there. Theres a big refrigerator where you can get your own crate theres a sports room a movie room and then a TV in the kitchen area. To dormitories and then infirmary Ward. Plus some nurses and staff and their. Right next to downtown but its quiet and a little wooded area. You can get to the train station in about eight or nine minutes. Just have to walk the tracks to the school and climb up the steps there. Youll pay about 60 or $70 a week for rent they have a pretty big shower and 3 toilets and 6 sinks staff was great they hold your mail for you
Friendly. I was at work fixing a water leak.
Harmony House helps and gives you a chance to succeed and live a positive policy of life. Thanks to case manager Ms. Gwen Jackson and Ms. Loretta..
Good program, but more discipline needed. I was their for a year. They took goid care of me. But some men their were a problem. Drugs illegal drugs were used on property. But overall a good program and gave me a place to recover from a major operation. I am now doing good and am not homeless.
Great place for any one trying to better there self😇😇😇
Opperated byharris systems .halfway house for adult men.staff freindly .on site nurse during the week
Its a great service for people
This is the last place you would want to go. It is infested with bedbugs and they know it. They wont tell you this when you call. Its next to being outdoors. The bed bugs at me up for 2 nights straight.
The best place to visit for medical attention. The practitioners are super smart and knowledgeable about every medical condition.
Not a sober living environment for those that are in recovery but does provide shelter at a low cost.
Cheap, gives you a wonderful opportunity to get back on your feet, if needed!!!

I am giving this place 1 star I would give it 0 if I could and all I did was call .. the person that answered the phone was very mean d a rude! I just hope that one day everyone can come together to help one another and it all starts from a friendly voice on the end of the line !
Ones personality can destroy the wholr management.....cases worker os unconsiderate to the other homeless on events. Just sayng tata 4 now
Place for homeless employed persons
Worse place to go, dirty, rude on the halfway house and medical side. This place should be shut down.

A good place if you are homeless
Harmony House is located at the very end of Dart st. One must follow Dart to the very end, and that becomes Girard St.
