I volunteer and donate to Christian Community Service Center (CCSC). Their emergency services provides food and assistance to people in need.They have a program to help job seekers by providing resume and interview advice and offering computers for application submission. They have a summer back to school program to help school age children. They have a Holiday Program to provide food for the entire family and books and gifts for Children.

It is always a pleasure to go to that particular food Bank. The security guard that oversees the disbursement has a plethora of knowledge about the programs that they have

This place makes it very easy to do food drop-offs. You can ring a bell to get help. I have been to the Houston Food Bank which is great, but not that close. CCS has a drive up area that helps with big heavy stuff.

I went there on July 2021 people who advice are very nice and well educated besides the books with a lot of phones and information I never couldn’t get help through those phones, then offered me food they give in that building but I was disappointed the man who is in charge the food area was really rude almost yielding I definitely not be back that place

They are a blessing from GOD. They are fast, knowing that you are in need. The customer service operators are very friendly.

Not a very charitable place! My husband and I went to them for COVID Rental Assistance recommended by a friend. They were great in the beginning. Told us if we got them everything they needed after hearing about our situation they could help with 1/3 or our rent! We were ecstatic! We had to pay our land lord something soon or we will be evicted. Did not happen. Shockingly told us that we would have to pay 3/4 of our rent up front first before they could help us?! What? So you’ll give us $1200 if we pay $3600 first? If we had $3600 we wouldn’t be coming to you for rental assistant. Appalling. So we are out of our apartment. They are unchristian!

This place has good parking, wheelchair accessible this is very helpful to the community Note google mapquest always gives wrong directions to this place (it gives the right bus to take but gives wrong bus stop to get off at and wrong walking directions once off the bus)

CCSC are warm, loving ❤and christ like people who always open there doors and help in any way possible. I never have any issue or bad experiences Thank you CCSC for all you have done for me. A Matthew

The food pantry is pathetic! It is usually disorganized. The list of preferred edible items is usually never consistent, as you request. Nevertheless, the people are always hospitable! Go there as a last measure and not as a means to supplement your hunger.

God is first always and will always have good ppl to help with his WILL!!

Awesome people, classes very helpful, even including individual tutoring. The only thing I wish they had were a few more classes on each subject. This place is such a blessing to people who either need to learn or brush up on the subjects offered. The best thing about JobNet are the people who work/volunteer there - truly nice and wonderful.

Very nice people, always willing to help everyone. They have a fantastic pantry, clothes, shoes, whatever is essential for your basic needs. They also provide resources for anyone who is interested in learning how to use word 10, Excel, etc... they also give you information as to where you can find jobs and where you can learn how to make your resume appealing to employers.

Everything is great. Their process is super outdated though. If you really need to get in contact, its highly impossible because their phone is always busy but when you come in person they wont see you unless you schedule over the phone. Other than that, they were actually really helpful.

Staffed by may lovely, kind, compassionate volunteers a d a few staff members. E everyone wants yo help, even the security guard! . This is a great place for employment services and free job coaching. They also have a dry goods & canned food bank.You must make an appointment and be evaluated before receiving any services.😒🙄😒 Hardest obstacle is getting thru by phone to make an appointmentBe patient it may take weeks!🤯 Phones manned by 2 volunteers open only from 10am to 2 pm . Have patience; its worth it.. Financial aid up to $300 ( rent, utilities) given ONLY ONCE.■■■ You can only make an appointment for the next day.. If you get thru and appts are filled, you.must call back the next morning. Set your alarm! ■■■Bring all your documents and two forms of Id including social security. Very nice, polite, respectful volunteers will assist you. ***The amount of times you can receive food is limited and toiletries are infrequently available. They are building a new multistory building adjacent to current location. When completed, they will offer fresh and frozen food as well.

Wonderful kind caring people donate their time there and provide services to many people such as myself. I am grateful for everything. They never judge or belittle you or make you feel like you are a charity case. They treat you like any normal person. Thank you all.

This is a REMARKABLE community service for Houston, These kind and considerate folks have been an ENORMOUS help to me and my family and friends!!!

They are very nice, attentive, and compassionate. Its a food pantry where you can get food, clothing, toiletries, and they pay for certain things like rent; however you must make an appointment for those services. They were also very easy to find,,,theyre behind Lakewood

Wow, nothing Christian about there service, they are aggressive and rude. Good luck reaching them on the phone when you call it rings once then hangs up. Why are they still open? is the question I asked myself when I pulled up to the center.

They are a wonderful group that truly helps people when they are in need. Job search is getting you down then you need to speak with this group they are going to give you the assistance you truly need
