Will provided excellent customer service! My car battery died and I walked to a Good Year close by who turned me away. I then decided to call Kwik Kar because they are the only place I get my car serviced at. Within 10 minutes, Will drove to my location and assessed my battery. He gave me a jump and followed me to AutoZone where he helped me change my battery. Overall I am very pleased and thankful for his help.

Routinely lies about your car needing additional service. Every occasion we have taken our vehicles, the service tech would tell us we had “chunky oil”. Our last visit, we waited long enough in the service lobby to hear multiple techs tell multiple clients the same “chunky” and “dirty” stories while suggesting additional labor. When it was our turn, we too had “chunky” oil and our radiator required a flush. The tech used a battery acid specific gravity test bulb to show the radiator coolant wasn’t on the correct number on the bulb. I’m no idiot and I know when and how to use a specific gravity tester. Never returning and I will make sure everyone knows this place is filled with liars. We use the dealership now for even basic oil changes and never have we had “chunky” oil.

Came in for an oil change. Will assisted during the process and gave feedback on reasonable items that needed attention. Was able to do a walk in on a Thursday morning.

Took my car here for an oil change and tire rotation back in February. They convinced me to get this fuel additive. The whole thing cost over $200. Complete ripoff.Well I was having my brother do my oil change this time because I wasnt taking it back to this dump. He couldnt even remove my oil plug because these guys had over torqued it when they screwed it back on, the sides completely weared off! Now I have to find another place to take it to and have them remove and replace the oil plug.

Awesome, fast oil change. Didn’t try to sell me any additional stuff. I went at 4:40 on a Tuesday after work and was done in ten minutes. Reasonably priced. Super convenient and well done.

I write this review as a first hand witness to the EXCEPTIONAL response by Kwik Kar Lube & Tune management for a very dear friend of mine, whos traumatic experience had a happy end result.She stopped into the 619 W. 11th ST location for an oil change, just as she had done many times before, without incident.The following day, while driving on the freeway, she heard a strange sound from under the car, prompting her to pull over. Thats when she noticed a large amount of oil leaking out. She had her car towed to the nearest mechanic, only to learn that the oil pan screw had fallen out. Left with no choice, she paid to have it repaired. She then contacted Kwik Kar Lube & Tune and spoke to Kendrick, who immediately refunded the cost of the oil change without hesitation. But he didnt stop there. He quickly moved forward, taking the necessary steps to make sure that she was refunded the cost of towing AS WELL AS the repairs!My dear friend was treated with the highest level of respect and care throughout this whole process.This is the type of service which sets this particular shop apart from so many others, and what meant so much to her and to me!There are so many places to choose from for an oil change, but you will NOT find many places who actually CARE about each customer like this Kwik Kar location does!I highly recommend them for quality service and outstanding customer care!

NEVER bring your vehicle here. Brought my truck in for an inspection and my whiper blades are a little worn but not broken. Im shown that my whiper blades are torn, which you can see was just ripped and told I would be failed if I didnt buy new blades at $13 a blade.EXTORTION!!!

Kendrick + entire staff are simply amazing! I took my car so many places and they couldnt figure out what the problem was. 30 minutes after taking it to Kendrick + Co. (lol) they told me the exact issue!! Their communication is phenomenal and the work is amazing. Super happy, I REFUSE to take my car anywhere else! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

I appreciate the staff. I’m simply removing a star because of the turnover for this location. I’ve met some great individuals at this location. I guess I’m being selfish since there are so many new team members. But great service is constantly received here.

They tried charging me for synthetic even though they used conventional, I thought it was a simple mistake at the register but now have my doubts. They didn’t rotate my tires after I asked over the phone before coming in and once I got there. They told me they would rotate the tires both times but didn’t. They told me my engine was sludged and needed to be flushed. I took the car the next day to my normal mechanic and he said they were trying to rip me off and engine was fine. Won’t be back.

I am extremely happy with the work I recently had done on my car. The manager, Sam, was knowledgeable, helpful, and customer focused. He communicated well throughout the process about what work would need to be done and why, answered all my questions, and made sure my vehicle was up and running in no time at a very reasonable price.

Oil change service was great for the couple times I came here, but two Sundays in a row I came for a state inspection, they tell me the internet is down and cant do the inspection. The 2nd time, I even called before coming for the inspection and they didnt tell me until I arrived that the internet was down and they couldnt do the inspection - would have been nice if they told me when I called to save me a wasted trip.

This place like most oil service places suck. Do your self a favor and find an honest good mechanic. These guys pocked my water pump because I wouldnt let them change air filters in my car. They also left the oil filter and oil plug loose. They use cheap oil and cheap oil filters. Stay away from this place.

I have been going to these guys for 3+ years because they always help me out and give me a really great value on any services I need. They may tell you about extras needed, but they’re never pushy and always go the extra mile to help out. Will always go back to them-they saved me from paying $600+ more to a dealer shop or Pep Boys for a batter terminal issue I was having.

We get our vehicles inspected here every year. This time, we had just gotten our pickup out of the shop and because of that it failed inspection. The manager was professional and kind enough to explain that we needed to do a drive cycle, how to look it up and then drive so many miles before we brought it back for the re-inspection. Having always driven older vehicles it is much appreciated to have such sound advice given.

Dishonest and untrustworthy. DO NOT COME HERE. I came for a state inspection and like most places as this they will up-sell you. They told me I could use an air filter, quoted me for $30 on the filter, then tried to charge me twice that amount. I called them out on it, and they corrected the cost. A few weeks later I check the air filter and see that 1) Its dirty as hell 2) its factory issued. They didnt replace the filter. Bottom line, dont trust these guys and their service. Dont be afraid to question them and have them verify (if you can) that they in fact completed the job. I called and they gave me my money back.

I had a great experience at this location. The gentlemen that worked there were very friendly, helpful and kind. They explained the services I needed, quoted them and completed them in a timely manner. The sitting room is very clean, all workers were friendly and respectful as they walked in and out to assist customers. I overheard others turn down recommended services and they did not have a negative reaction that you often see at car service stations. As a woman, I left feeling that for once, I was not taken advantage of while getting my car serviced.

Terrible and they dont stand behind their work. They installed a remanufactured part from Mexico, 2 months later it failed and when i went to them to fix it, they said Oh we dont have the testing equipment for that. When another garage found their starter at fault, they refused to refund me my money. BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS. I would have given them no stars but to leave a review you have to give them at least 1 star.

Incresibly helpful and friendly staff. They keep records of all your maintenance, explain the expected schedule for each service, and dont try to sell you anything you dont need. Theyll happily explain anything they recommend, and dont pressure you at all. Highly recommend these folks if youre in the area!

I have been going to this location and many other Slaters Kwik Kar locations for years now. This is the only place I take my car, unless there is something they are unable to do. The managers and staff are kind and helpful. When I have an issue, they always address it in a timely manner. Ive also been going for so long that the associates know me. 😊

Well staffed, quick, with incredibly polite and hard working staff. They offer military discount and referral bonuses. Not to mention a wider variety of services than I normally see at a lube shop. Will be bringing my car back for anything it needs with these folks.

Went in for a oil change. The manager was much more concerned about upselling me to other services than doing what I came in for. He was rude and very unprofessional. I have gone there for many years but with the attitude and service I will not go there again.

I love this place. They are fast and very polite. They have fast and affordable services, check and top off all fluids, checked tire pressure, vacuumed my interior and were informative about any service concerns regarding my vehicle. The Store Manager is a prior-service Army veteran and they offer Discounts to our Veterans and members of the United States Armed Forces as well as police officers and all first responders. The facility is clean and I refer all my friends and family here. They even give discounts for referring new customers. Not only do they do all automotive maintenance but they even do most automotive repairs. Theres really no need to go anywhere else!!!

Never had a problem here. Except today. They wanted to sell me windshield wipers to pass inspection. I wanted to go to Autozone and purchase my own wipers. When I returned with my own wipers they were upset. Did they care about my safety or just making sure they sold me wipers?

They are good about upselling you. Make suggestions but not pushy. Frequent customer discounts.

Sam the Store Manager tried to scam us into getting a full synthetic oil change when we asked for conventional. He tried to claim that on the cap and in the owner’s manual it called for synthetic only. Both were lies. Don’t support dishonest mechanics like these.

After coming in for an oil change, I was told that my car needed a power steering flush. I ended up needing to replace both the power steering hose and the pump at almost $800 because their flush blew out my system. They do a sloppy job, argue repeatedly that its not their fault and then refuse to make the repairs needed to fix the problem they caused.

Prompt honest service. Ive used them exclusively for a year or so. I have always received great service and repairs. Plus they do tend to be quick. After some bad automotive work elsewhere, I have been tremendously pleased by Kwik Kar.

They rip me a new hole from behind like a dog. They said they replaced my knock sensor but did not and I paid three hundred dollars. All they did was reset the code. As I type this I am replacing it and it is apparent it is old and broken. That garage is full of roaches.

I am so thankful that I found out that this place works on air conditioners! I took my car to a different mechanic (a national chain) when my air conditioner stopped working and was told the things that needed to be fixed on it to get it working again. However, a month later and I had been back to the same place 3 different times because it continued to stop working. The third time I went in, I was told that my whole system was shot and needed to be replaced which would have been $1200-$1400. I decided to get a second opinion here at Kwik Kar. They were very open and upfront with me about what they thought it was and even brought me out to my car to show me where it was leaking. I got my air conditioner fixed for half the price of what was quoted for me at the other place. I would trust my car to be fixed here and nowhere else.

Nice people and cheap for an oil change. They do use penzoil and good filters so no complaints. If you need more than just oil service this is prob not the place to go

****Update**** I did get a call from the manger there after posting this. He was apologetic and did want to make amends. We did work out that we would get a free oil change next time. Bravo to the manager for wanting to make things better. Shows that someone there does care about service.Do not take your car here. The service is awful and the employees are rude.I took my wifes car here for a simple oil change. She left for Dallas later that afternoon and as it turned out, they did not put in enough oil. She had to stop at a gas station/convenience store just north of Huntsville and add a couple of quarts of oil.Its lucky that the motor did not freeze up and that she knew how to handle adding oil to the motor, knowledge the employees here seem to lack. She proceeded on to Dallas without incident.I called the following day to complain and they refused to let me talk to the owner. I was told I have to talk to the General Manager and that he was not in and I could call back later. When I asked when he would be back, the rude employee just said he didnt know. Just keep calling, he said.Truly rotten, bad, lousy, miserable customer service. This place deserves to go out of business.

I really dont want to give it no stars. If you go in for a oil change. Be sure to stick with that oil change because they will try to up sell you theyre pushy and that is not good customer service. I end up paying $200 something for other services that I probably didnt need . I feel they hustled me because Im a woman who dont know anything about cars. Lesson learned

The service was quick and the guys that work there were really nice and informative.

These guys are OK for just an oil change, but be aware that that they will try hard to up-sale you for unnecessary services like radiator flushing, brake fluid flushing, power steering fluid flushing, throttle body cleaning, replacing fuel filters and air filters that arent dirty. It never fails, they always try to up-sale these services to me and my wife. They recently tried to convince my wife she needed the brake fluid flushed and refused to top off the brake fluid unless she allowed them to flush it. This is absurd and Ive never heard of an oil change place doing this before. Get your oil changed and refuse everything else they try to sell you because they will dishonestly take advantage of people that dont know better.

Dont go here this bussiness is AWFUL.I just found out the last few times I have been there they have been putting synthetic oil in my car which is good for 6000 miles but putting 3000 stickers on my car. I confronted them about this and asked them to fix the current sticker - the one they just put on my car and was basically like no sorry. They did not even apologize that I have been paying to get oil changes way earlier then I needed to.also they will always find something wrong with your car and try to get you to buy a bunch of extra stuff.After they finish they leave the keys in your car in the back driveway just waiting for someone to steal it!

The service was completed correctly but I do not appreciate the way they try to dishonestly upsell to myself and the people around me. Attempting to convince me that I needed all these fluid flushes when I clearly did not and then took my completely clean air filter and said you can either replace this now or next time as if I wouldnt realize the air filter was completely clean.All in all the upcharges they were trying to get me to buy would have costed me about 350 extra dollars on top of the price for my oil change already.There are better places in Houston to get your oil changed without people who are attempting to prey upon customers who they assume dont know any better. It lacks professionalism. Ill be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

Ive taken my car to this Kwik Car location for over 2 years. I have always received great customer service from the manager as well as all the employees. At times service can be slow but Im always prepared to go for a run and when Inretuen car is ready.
