A very loft looking work space. They have all the basic amenities that makes this place very functional. My favorite part was the lighting and the furniture.

Building has been down to one elevator for more than two years. The owner refuses to fix the second elevator. Sometimes the only elevator is broken too and youre stuck in their stank stairwell that is often locked.

Novel provided the perfect space solution for our needs. We are a top 10 accounting firm in the USA and the world that had a decent presence in Houston between professionals at client sites and remote based personnel. Due to the variance between site work and office work we needed a flexible space that could occasionally support a large number of employees as well as maintain privacy and security for a much smaller number consistently in the office. The private suite with access to additional conference rooms and shared worked space was a WIN-WIN for us.The Novel personnel are outstanding to team with as they truly care about our individual needs as well as just being good people.

Everyone is great here! I love our office. It is very spacious and I get a nice view of downtown. It is located amid the many restaurants. I love coming in!

The team here at Scanlan represent what coworking space is all about. I am always greeted with a friendly attitude when I visit the common space for my free delicious coffee (or beer). Perfect location downtown off of the rail with easy parking accommodations. The building, while a little older, boasts great historic architecture and is often a talking piece with our guests. Definitely recommend to anyone considering a coworking space in Downtown Houston.

Ive been working out of the Scanlan Building for a couple of months and its been great. The space is very nice and the WiFi is fast. Erin and Mario have been warm and welcoming. This place is awesome.

Level office.. Affordable, great customer service, great location, on staff management is very attentive. To be honest the staff goes over and beyond the call of duty; If you are looking for space and a company that will not nickel and dime you like other commercial type A, B or C spaces give Level offices a try, you will not be disappointment. Once you make the decision you will thank me over all the free coffee, or beer you desire.

Location and atmosphere is great! We were in town visiting and the management team is friendly and very accommodating.

I would say disappointing is an understatement. My business partner (my brother) and I were the first tenants on the 7th floor of this co working space and it is to our complete disbelieve the way this place has handled communication, and our overall contract guidelines. My brother is having a second child and I have had to travel a lot so we took our computers home with the plan to turn the office into a client meeting space. The office manager took it upon herself to sublease our space while we still had some of our stuff in there and never once communicated this decision with us. And we’re still paying.. we have never stopped paying.. they moved us to another office on the 5th floor.. which is not what we signed up for on our contract. And so now there’s another company using our space, our curtains, our cords, boards... stuff that we own etc.. we have gone through 3 different people who just send us to the other.. and back and forth. No one answers.. no one calls back.. it’s a mess. This is literally my first review ever.. and it’s with the only intention to let everyone who’s looking for a space here to look somewhere else. Somewhere that will guarantee something like this will never happen. Read your contracts, ask questions, and have a lawyer handy. If you do those 3, don’t be surprised if Novel still screws you over to secure their interests.

The building is clean, the facilities are modern in a historical building that has charm and character, and the response to requests is speedy.

Level Office on Main St. in downtown Houston is by far the best office space for open workspace and individual offices. The staff is always cheerfully professional and quick to act on tenants needs. The open workspace on the 7th Floor is so cool you wont want to leave. With a wide range of offerings like coffee, snacks, large screen monitors and beer for when the work is done. If youve not taken a Tour call and get one scheduled!

Great old building but without Erin and Mario it wouldn’t Be nearly as great a place. They both came on board at almost the exact same time and the improvement in service and building maintenance has been extremely noticeable since their arrival!

When I visited their buildings recently, I was impressed with how clean, attractive, and user-friendly the work spaces were.

Ive had an ongoing issue with no resolution. Ive called upper management to resolve my case 3 times with 3 different regional managers and there seems to be little to no interest in following up or fixing the problem. It seems ridiculous to me that I have to be the one to follow up and call, rather than this company following basic and common customer service standards. Its very frustrating to deal with a company that seems to have no interest in resolving matters with their tenants.

Typically the first bit of time I have spent in an office building I work in is used telling the staff and leasing manager what needs to be fixed. Here at LEVEL, that is not the case. Andrea and Diane (leasing managers) constantly try to raise the bar for what I honestly consider the absolute best quality value one can find in HHouston, let alone anywhere. Not often does one get to look forward to going to work for the office. I have that luxury. Thanks LEVEL!

Our law firm started out in private office space (5 individual offices) on a different floor of the Scanlan Building. Our corporate office told us that we needed to move into a more traditional office setting. After looking at offices all over downtown, we could not find anything that didnt require an extensive build out or would have involved a shared office space situation. When we returned from office hunting, our COO grabbed a flyer from the entrance of the building and learned that Novel Co-Working had the perfect space at a reasonable price. So instead of moving across downtown, we relocated to a different floor. The space is perfect for our team. We still have access to the cool co-working space/lounge that Novel Co-Working has, which includes a really fancy beverage machine (makes coffee like a barista) and beer on tap. I have not had the opportunity to partake of the beer on tap, but its nice to know that I can invite family and friends to meet me after work, grab a beer and then head out on the town.

Novel is a great working environment! Their historic offices have a great vibe and the location is ideal for people commuting by train.
