Definitely 5 star service! I went for a pedi and polish. The lady was very professional and very polite. I noticed that the new management and staff make you feel very welcomed. Even my 4yr old son felt comfortable. Which made it made it more relaxing for me. Ive been coming here since the place opened and I must say, it looks to be in better hands. Highly recommend this place.

I use to go to my nail fairy Lyly at Oasis. No more Oasis; I had to follow my extraordinary nail fairy Lyly to Penguine Nails, as she is now the new extraordinary owner. Does excellent work. I am ALWAYS pleased with nails. Lyly has been my nail fairy for over 5 years. Hats off to Lyly🥰

Just left the nail salon and let me tell you not worth the money it looks so bad.... I told the guy if he could fix it but the ignore me . Another lady ask me if I like them I told her no no one offer to fix it so now I have go find another place to fix this mess ... I don’t recommend this place at allRespond: no I went on Monday of this week someone lady told that you guys were under another manager and that Paul was not the owner. Now let me tell you Paul was rude sometimes but but he always left my nails nice. You haven’t fixed my nails like you said in your response I’m here to tell other people why invest money where they don’t take the time to correct their errors like if they were doing it for free.that’s a no for me I work very hard for my money and I expect professionalism from you guys. On the 3 picture that I put that’s Paul’s job you can see the difference.

Place has New Owner- New Management. Nail set beautifully done. No rush, no mess, not loud, very peaceful. Designs, shape, length was perfect. Pedicure left me feeling very soft. Excellent service. Will definitely return!

Had a great experience at Penguin Nails.Very nice people. Went by really quick.

So, I arrived at around 9:15am. And I immediately ask about the wait time. I have never used this salon but it has decent reviews. My pedicure hasnt even started and Im already writing a review. I was told the wait would be 15 minutes. I have now been waiting for 30 minutes. Someone started my water about 20 minutes ago. Now, its not even warm water that my feet are just sitting in. No one has asked me about my color choice. They did ask me if I wanted a pedicure and/or manicure and thats it. Someone just came over after waiting for about 35 minutes. I guess I need to see how the manicure and pedicure goes...So, Im back. The lady doing my manicure and pedicure is very nice. I just did a basic manicure with clear ( I dont do polish on my nails unless its a special occasion). I did gel polish on my toes and they turned out nice. So they can have 4 stars. I took one away because my wait time was longer than quoted. I would return to this salon and I would recommend this salon. All of the people who work here seem nice.

Spent $118 on my nails Saturday, 3 days later they started lifting and breaking off 1 by 1. I might come back for my pedicure by Donna cause she was great, but Laura who did my acrylics did a horrible job. Idk if the powder she used was out dated but im highly disappointed!!!!

I have been coming here for a few years now and the new owners have down a great job of remodeling and offering a great product. I highly recommend coming here to relax and pamper yourself.

I have been here several times and have always been pleased. I get my ingrowns taken care of here and my big toes experience so much relief after they are cleaned up. I run a lot and the shoes jam my ingrowns in a lot so this place is a god send. Hit my girl Kathy up for that grade A clip clip.

Shellac looks so pretty on my toes right now. I love it. I definitely recommend this place!! However the shellac on my nails did not last long at all their chipping smh, $98 should not be doing this IJS!

I went in to get my nails done and a pedicure I waited for a very long time. The lady that did my toes rushed and left them bumpy and she had polish all over my toes. I had them done for one day and the polished started to peel off. And for my nails they messed me up. I asked her multiple times to fix nails and she kept telling me it was okay they were fine and she didn’t fix them, she even drilled my skin on 7 fingers, my nails and fingers are in pain. I will never go back to them they are over priced and they rush and they don’t care about the client.

This place is awesome. The whole place have been remodel and the service is very professional.

Best quality and customer service

I usually always get black shellac on my nails! Everywhere I go . Not even a week has passed by and I have been back FOUR times to get them redone. After speaking with one of the guys there he told me he can’t do nothing about it but repaint the nails. Excuse me sir ! I been there four times already! It’s a waste of my time now ! I will not be returning there as a customer, and he lucky my husband calmed me down because I would have came up there again but this time not so nice ! Customer service wasn’t bad until you ask for reimbursement of your money! Pathetic!

They were busy and I was next to be seated for a pedicure. The lady that was sitting in the chair left to get her nails done. So they seated me in the same seat as the lady before me. The tech. Just changed the plastic to the foot tub and started feeling it with water. They did not wash down or rinse nothing. When asked about it. The nail tech act like she didnt understand. I know the was talking about me. But I dont care, its COVD19, and nasty is nasty. I do no recommend this place at all, not even to me pet.🙁

If possible I would give this place NO Star at all!! Went to this place about 1 week ago on friday, very first time. Before going did some research and looked over at the reviews, they were mostly pretty good and positive so I gave it a try. Requested a Pedicure & Manicure. While the lady was doing my pedicure, cutting my nails. She cut very terrible on the side of my nail on my Big toe on my left foot, hurt like Hell, I told her, even moved my foot, all she said was sorry and continued with the rest of my toes. I did not think I would leave their with an ingrown toenail or nail infection. Yes, i did leave with pain on my toe. 1 week later i come to see my toe turning purple/red, nail bed hurts, have Puss coming out! Just called requested to speak to Manager, his name is Jason, told him the situation, all he said was to go in have it looked at, but unfortunately he cant do nothing about it. I do not live on that side of town in the first place, so it makes it hard for me to go over their during the week. I love and work in cypress, which is approximately 1hr drive. I will be doing everything I can to call the state and report yall and hopefully Sue yall!!

Decided to visit this nail shop with a friend. I must say that the staff was super friendly, especially the owner Tony. Luna gave me the most incredible pedicure that I have ever had. The cleanliness of the shop let me know that my usual shop was dropping the ball. I really enjoyed the shop and plan on visiting again very soon.

Definitely dont recommend this place. Im pretty sure they dont have their products fully sanitized or cleaned correctly since they just pull them from anywhere, the place needs to be cleaned. I was sitting next to a desk full of stuff just piled and doesnt give the place a very clean look. Not satisfied with my nails but nothing i can do about that really, tech was way to rough with cuticle cutter. She was very nice but not enough reason for me to ever return back.

Their prices are pretty inexpensive but their quality of nails definitely reflects. I wasnt pleased with my shellac manicure or regular pedicure. The finish of my nails were very bumpy and my cuticles were filled with polish. Ive paid more elsewhere but the quality of my nail experience was a lot better. Also their nail equipment is very dated. Only reason Im giving 3 stars is because the staff were polite and tried their best, I was discounted $5 off due to my shellac manicure being done poorly.

Do not let the women do your nails . I just got mine done and they came out horrible ! She cut me really bad, she polished my nails horrible strikes all over . Do not give a bad nail tech to people just because your busy. If she only does pedis keep it that way !

Lie about being able to help you in a timely manner. Kept me waiting 45 min soaking my feet, I originally asked for pedi and full set all at once.I was also told that only one person spoke English and he was busy. He never came to help.

Been going to this nail shop for years. Tony used to be my nail tech then he moved but recommend I go to Jason when he left and Jason is the bomb, I never have to wait when I go and that’s even without scheduling an appointment. Weekends do get busy but even then I’ll wait on Jason it’s worth the wait because not any nail tech is good at nails. I’m very picky with my nails but he never fails to do my nails exactly how I like and always ask me if there is anything I want him to fix. Just tell him what you want and he will do it. ASK FOR JASON.

Yesterday was my first time coming here and I will be booking another appointment with Laura next month! She did an AWESOME job on my pedicure (which was only $22!). I will try a manicure next month and write a review then too.Yes this place isnt brand new, nor the biggest spa around. BUT its intimate, clean, the massage chairs work and most of all the QUALITY of work Laura did was great! (my fav part was how she did NOT try and push a wax on me, like ALL other salons do!)

I had a really great experience with this nail salon! Honestly one of the best in the area! I needed a full set around the holiday time and they got me in really fast! 10/10!

Place was extremely busy, one of the guys was very rude. But I had a lady do my pedicure, she was nice and did an amazing job but I just feel like this place is really expensive for what they offer. I got the deluxe pedicure for $30 bucks which I could I get this same pedicure at another nail shop for $18 bucks. For the price I paid today I could get a way better pedicure in the heights and they offer complimentary cocktail drinks.

The wait time was 1hr, they took 1hr to do my toenails regular. And they didnt leave them as expected, from close you can see that the layers are not smooth. I think the lady was new she was taking her sweet time.

Paul did a great job on my full set with glittery powder.

Never get full sets here because they are overpriced for the job that is done but when I was in a bind decided to let them do it for the holiday. The lady did a terrible job thy were thin. Some were the wrong length and when I told her how I liked my nails she rudely disagreed. The shape was terrible as well but I didn’t want to cause a scene as the shop was full. She abruptly got up and one point and went to wax brows then do a pedicure on other guests. The guy next to me (the owner apparently) said he would finish them. I told him what was wrong and he said he would fix what he could as he had other guests. I still left with them extremely thin and not even a day later my thumb nail was broken. I was livid and called and asked for a refund which he refused and offered to do the set himself at no charge or to issue a gift card. I however do not want to spend any more money or time in this shop at this point. I have been going here for almost 4 years even when I moved an hour away I would still drive back to get pedicures but NEVER again. Please take it from someone who knows this place well and never go here.

Just had a fill and I am astounded. Staff was friendly, corrected the errors from my last set, AND no abrasions, cuts or fill lines! Will be back again!

Jason and Paul are the absolute best! Jason is my nail tech as well as my whole family and we just love him.....they make you feel so at home and comfortable and they are not about just the money..they stand behind their work! And Jason gets me in and out...

Tony is the consummate nail technician. His experience is evident as he pays close attention to detail and still works quickly. I am very very selective about my nails and I was pretty happy with the results. Will be back again, Ask for Tony!!

New to the city, was looking for a nail salon that could do my nails as good as home. After several salons I found Penguin salon. Paul does my nails each time and he is simply amazing! The salon is very welcoming, down to earth. Wont be going anywhere else.

I came here because the reviews online were all pretty much the same, praising the great job that the nail techs provide. But Im not very satisfied with my experience. I got a full set with powder and the color on some of my nails is not even. Its much lighter in some places than others. If Im paying this much money to get something done that I want, I expect it to look great not just okay. My expectations definitely were not fulfilled.

Very poor quality on nails, went back two times within a hour for her to fix nails, still after multiple attempt nails was still in badly shape, will never get my nails done there again, if you pay close to $70 on nail you want it to be flawless, manager did not care

I have been using Penguin Nails since 2012! I have never had any problems they have bowl liners for each pedicure chair and ALL of the stanless steel accessories that they use are ALL Medical Sterilized and are in sealed bags!! Each Technician wheres gloves and masks. I have had a nail chip or break IF its been less than a week theyre happy to fix it at NO CHARGE!!! I have had the eyelash extensions and to they always last 2-3weeks. I would recommend Penguin Nails Salon to Men & Women & children too! Nice atmosphere and flat screen TVs up on each side of the Salon for your watching pleasure while they are working on you and the things that your having done. Prices are comparable to the other Salons prices.Im extremely pleased with my experience and procedures Ive had done.

The place was nice and clean however I wasnt pleased with Stephanies service. I wanted to get a gel manicure on my natural nails and have one acrylic nail since I broke it off. She filed my nails to the shape I wanted them but they were all different lengths. The acrylic nail was a great shape but too thick! I asked her to thin it out and she thinned the edges, leaving the rest thick. I wanted a more natural look and showed her pictures of what I was wanting. When it came down to it, the colors she presented were way off. I was very annoyed.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The service was absolutely atrocious. I asked if there was a wait and they told me they could take me immediately. They sat me down and I waited 20 minutes for somebody to finally attend to me. They even began a customer that got there after me. In the middle of doing my pedicure, they stopped and went and did ANOTHER CLIENTS EYEBROWS! No warning or anything, just stopped and walked away. I will never come back to this location and I highly advise everyone to not waste their time or money here.

If I could give (-5) I would, this place is awful they need to be closed down they discriminate and the products cannot be sterilized bc I got an infection on my toe. After saying something to them they are rude and tell u sorry or to go somewhere else. This place has nasty service and nasty tools. Also don’t get your nails done bc they do them so thin that they will break the same day so u have to go back to have fixed. The men are just as rude as the women.the BBB has been notified on several occasions too.If you go just know your are risking it!

I’m not normally one to talk badly of a business, even if there are a few things that don’t go totally right because I understand that’s not how things always go. But this place is ridiculous. I had a broken nail under my acrylic nail, and I went there hoping they’d be able to remove the nail because I was in immense pain. After having me wait a few minutes while an employee finishing mopping the store, they asked me what I was in there for and when I told them, they started asking where I got them done at. Once I told them, they continued mopping and told me that they don’t usually only take off one nail only (I told them that’s all I needed done, as I’d JUST gotten a mani/pedi earlier this week) and that it was “bad luck for business” and “it’s bad luck so we can’t do it”. They sent away a customer because of a superstition. They told me maybe the place across the street could do it for me and apologized. I left in a bit of shock because that was the most bogus excuse I’ve ever heard in my life. I went to the Oasis Nails and Spa right across the street from them and they were able to take good care of me and got a NICE tip for being able to relieve me of the major discomfort I was in. I beg you, I’ve heard more bad stories about this business than I can count, so save your time and try Oasis instead.

First time bieng here, I was actually nervous because I read some of the reviews but going in, of COURSE a nail place is always busy, so I waited... And it was worth the wait. If you go in ask for Kim to do your feet and the owner I think he said his name was Paul I dont remember. But they did an great job, they took their time, they didnt rush we even had conversations & they made me feel very comfortable. This is now my new medi & pedi place 👏👏👏

I come in for my hands, full set with shellac. tony used to do my nails but he moved away and jason has been doing them since. I love my nails and always get compliments on them, you just have to make sure you tell them what you like and dont like and they wont disappoint.also a side note, i noticed some of the reviews mentioned complaints about their wait and how someone who walked in after them got seated first. They take appointments and walk ins, so if those people who walked in after them had an appointment they will be seated at their appointment time. i always schedule my appt a day or two ahead as jason is one of the most requested and have never had any issue, always get seated on time

I ALWAYS have to wait more than an hour (even when I make an appt!) Horrible quality of Shelac! It will literally peel within a week. I asked for a different color on one of my fingers and they charged me 3 dollars extra (something that has never happened to me in any other salons) do not recommend unless you like low quality work and people playing with different pricing depending on your looks.

I got my nails done on Monday & he did amazing . They were all friendly making me laugh as we wAtched the news. Will be coming back for sure.

I used to go to Penguin before the new management took over and I agree with previous reviews about it being awful. However, I gave this place a second chance after my mother informed me that their were new managers. I will NOT go to any other nail place but this one. Not only are they friendly, but they take their time with my nails every time and the customer service is remarkable. Give them a second chance!!!
