We’ve heard all the praises about our local locksmith, and so we hired them to rekey our locks and to install keypads. I called him on a Saturday and he came today, on Sunday. No need, since it wasn’t an emergency. However, he was prompt, professional, courteous, and extremely fair with pricing. Mor is just an all around nice man with incredible customer service skills. Eight locks and a couple of keypads done in just a little over an hour. Fantastic job!

I had been searching for weeks to find a locksmith to cut my house keys from blanks bought online. The owner was willing to stay open late for me to get there to have them done. He also has a great selection of blanks on hand. Excellent customer service!

I needed a new key fob. I contacted this company for assistance due to its good reviews. It took three calls to get ahold of someone. When I spoke to someone they were rude and dismissive. I was desperate and proceeded with using their services. I was given a replacement fob even paid extra to show my appreciation. The key fob worked twice then no more. I received another from the company for an additional cost and that didn’t work either!! I was unable to get into my vehicle and was forced to miss 4 days of much needed pay at work! Do not recommend.

Howard Safe & Lock is my go to locksmith in the city. Ive gone to them for my last 3 key copies. They have what appears to be every type of key imaginable, so no matter what key you need copied, theyll have the proper blank. Service is always quick, but in case theres a customer or two in front of you, theres a wide range of key, lock, and security accessories to browse while you wait.

Accidentally washed & dried a key fob on a Sunday morning, no dealerships in the area opened on a Sunday as usual. Got someone to our house within 1 hour of calling, got our new fob set up within 1 hour. Good customer service and communication, also better deal than going through a dealership! Will definitely use again if needed!

I must share my wonderfully helpful experience with Howard Safe & Lock Company. I needed to access a locked interior compartment of a large very old fireproof bank safe my parents had to make sure it was empty before selling their home. I had no idea what the key looked like or where in the house it could be stored. For 2 years of slowly cleaning out the house, I checked every unusual looking key I could find and nothing fit it. I was told I would need to drill it open, but calling around gave me shocking quotes for someone to do...much less assuming the space was empty. Mor with Howard Safe & Co. was so very patient with me on the phone, and obviously knew a lot about old safes. I shared pictures of it. He even helped me come up with a value to expect when I sell it. Gosh Mor, YOU are a true gentleman and I really appreciated your time and you going out of your way for me. By the way, he told me what the key might look like....and sure enough, I was able to get into the locked cabinet. Im grateful I didnt have to spend several hundred dollars paying to have it drilled. House lock somehow jammed overnight forcing us to use the window to get out. We called right when they opened and they came out within an hour! I bought a used Chevy Equinox that only came with one key, and the Chevy dealership wanted like $400-500 + your firstborn child. I googled the nearest locksmith to see if they could make one, and found Howard Safe & Lock. I walked in, he immediately made my key, then went outside and programmed it to my car - all in under 5 minutes & for 1/4 the dealership price. This is probably the best customer service experience of my life - def top 5.

Mike was very knowledgeable when I came in asking if he could re key a lock on an old filing cabinet.He was able to quickly produce a key once we found the numbers on old lock. He told me if it didn’t work, I didn’t owe anything, if it did to come back at my leisure. Professional, kind, and very experienced, I was impressed with Mike and the other workers. I visited them twice now, both times for copying the remote key fob for two different vehicles. The tech (dont recall his name, but the same man both times) worked a while to get the fobs programmed.I learned programming fobs requires quite a bit of diligence and luck as every make, model, and year can have a different process and different gotchas, so even though he could not get the second fob programmed in the end, he tried for a LONG time and did not charge me.They also have fobs in stock. These appear to be more reliable than the ones purchased online. Again, the fobs are VERY specific to the make, model, year, and even which month in the year the car was manufactured. If possible, I recommend you purchase the fobs from Howard S&L directly... leave that headache to the experts.

Came in on a Sunday He Was very professional knew what he was doing did it right away in less than five minutes and I was in and out really great service.

These guys are super nice and friendly. I called about getting a copy of my key made. I supplied them with a year and model and they quoted a price of between $150-200. Once I arrived and they took the equipment to my car, the price changed to $320.They told me it was a different process than expected even though I had provided the exact year and model. I’d like to believe it was just an accidental misquote, but it left a really bad taste in my mouth. The fact that they didn’t offer any sort of discount for misquoting the job makes it feel all the more suspicious.*update* A different locksmith met me at my house a few days later and supplied the key and programmed it for $195 and was done in 15 minutes. I have no idea what would have required this company multiple hours to complete the work. If you are quoted more than $200 for a key, I recommend checking all your options.

Nice neighborhood business here. Im a dyier, working on matching my garage door lock to my house door lock. And wouldnt you know it things just didnt go as planned. I ended up having one of the springs in the lock up and disappear on me. I looked online and can buy a pack of 100 for $XX. But do I really need 100? So then I remembered this lock place that Ive driven by a thousand times. I swung by and although I only needed 1 I asked for 4 since Im sure Ill end losing another someday, if not today. Walked in, was greeted immediately asked how I could be helped. Asked to buy some springs and the guy just gave them to me in a little zip bag. Out of there in a couple of minutes. Definitely wouldnt hesitate in taking my more complex lock work there in the future.

Well my day at work started off fine until one of our warehouse guys went to start our forklift and snapped the key in half, I fished out the other half of the key and took it and the ignition straight to Howard safe and lock. Unfortunately he didn’t have the exact blank To match up with our Old key but since I had the ignition he was able to find a key that would fit which was awesome. Whenever it was time to pay though I only had a $50 bill he didn’t have enough change to break the 50 so he gave me the key for free . Looked up a near by place to make a copy for my office keys and this one was the closest to me. As soon as I stepped foot in there I was greeted and welcomed by fun conversation and smiling faces and they had so many cute keys I didnt know which one I wanted lol I will surely be making this a go to for any keys I need made! The quote to duplicate my Toyota Camry smart key was $145 less than that of another highly rated locksmith, and much, much less than a dealer would charge. When I got to the shop I saw a list of prices and the car keys seemed to be on special, so this may have been more of a bargain than usual. But it was a very good price. Mr. Vidal was extremely nice and professional to deal with. He duplicated my smart key quickly, I would say in 10 minutes or probably less. Somehow I had been under the impression that this took a long time, but not with the modern computer equipment at Howard Safe & Lock. I am pleased to have a new backup key that didnt cost an arm and a leg.

Would have had five stars except for some reason Howard Safe & Lock has decided to allow a very rude woman to answer the phone. Google maps lists the hours as 8am-11pm, so I called just to verify when the shop closed. The woman who answered acted as if she couldnt be bothered answering a simple question. Fortunately, when we arrived the man working at the counter was very pleasant. There needs to be improvement with the interactions on the telephone with potential customers.

I brought my own key blank to have it made into a spare motorcycle key, and after I handed the blank and the original to them, it only took about two seconds for them to replicate the key in their machine - it was awesome to see! The spare works great, with no recutting required. I am very impressed with their service, and the man who worked with me was very nice.
