I just received a call from this company stating theyd like me to come in and talk about a position. When I kindly asked what the position was for, the woman on the phone explained to me that it would be discussed in the interview. I dont remember applying through this Agency, so I tried to inquire more about them and wanted more info, i.e. can you send me an email with this documented in it?. Ive had a few scams recently very similar to this since Ive been applying for jobs. She started getting a bit short, and asked if there was a time for me to come in and talk with them. I explained that I did have two interviews this week, and asked if she could email me so I can schedule accordingly. Right before she hung up on me, she said Why dont you call me after your interviews.😂

I recently had a shot at my dream job, thanks to Charlotte. She was very prompt in setting up an interview with me. She got to know me and my background and knew that I was a good fit with one of her clients. Indeed, for the first time I can say that I absolutely love my job! So, Charlotte knows how to pick the right fit. If your background does not fit any one of the positions that they are trying to fill, then there is only so much they can do. Please understand that. I recommended this agency, specifically Charlotte, to a friend also. Give it a try, they might just have what you are looking for!

Very easy to work with. I used their service almost a year ago. I was a recent college grad and was searching for employment (in my field of course). The role I went to interview for wasnt exactly my end goal, but it was at least in the right direction. They assured me that they had a relationship with this company and they were fair people, so I gave it a try.Much to my pleasure, I was offered a position in the IT department where I am now the lead programmer. (Ive been with my employer less than a year). My skills and education, in combination with the resume tips I received from HOU City and the positive rapport they set with my employer was a key factor in me landing this position!Id recommend their services. I worked closely with Abbie and she was super helpful and timely in following up and answering any questions I had.

So. Let me start off my saying, HCP is the best staffing agency around. I know, I know, there are a few poor reviews (I’m looking at you 1 Star people) but let’s be honest with ourselves for a minute. A staffing agency will give you a job based on your qualifications and if you fit the job profile. Just because we THINK we are good for the job, doesn’t mean we ARE the BEST fit for that position.They were helpful and responsive with my application and listens and cared for my needs and interests. I have recommended people there, and they too have had positive responses. Try HCP, they’re the best and forget the rest.

This company is awesome! Abbie was superb in helping me get my foot in the door in the corporate world. We were in constant communication throughout the whole process. I absolutely love Houston City Personnel! The recruiters that Ive had the opportunity to work with were absolutely awesome! I am currently working for a Fortune 500 company they placed me with. The job before this one, I was there 12 yrs until the company decided to close the doors. I called Houston City and I was working in less than a week! I have had the best experiences with them. Hands down, for me - they are the best staffing agency around!That was my experience over the past years that I used them. However, just recently I sent a few people to them in particular, my 21 year old daughter and she hasnt had the same experience as I did. I guess the procedure to get registered has changed. I came in to register in person, met a few recruiters, tested and was placed on jobs IMMEDIATELY. My daughter was told to upload her resume and someone would call her? Its been almost a week - no call. Completely unprofessional, I am shocked and disappointed. I will definitely refer other placement agencies to her now, I just wanted her to have the same professional experience I had with the staff I was lucky to work with years ago - I guess not, Im guessing theyre new new running the show, too bad. Not to mention, the reviews have gone down as well.

I relocated to the Houston area and knew nothing about the city and companies, hence I decided to try a placement agency company. That was the best decision I could have made! The staff was very welcoming and friendly. My advisor was nothing short of amazing and helpful! The most amazing part of my experience was being employed within one week after meeting with the consultant! Highly recommended.

Lots of postings that a lot of people would be qualified for, but there must be some magic way to be considered besides whats listed on the opportunities page. I applied to this company every week for a few months and never once got a response. I emailed someone at the company directly and was told Id hear back from the manager. It did not happen. Ive tried to at the very least get an answer of why I wasnt being considered but nothing. I would not recommend taking the time to apply with this company.

The team here of people are very nice, professional, and have been very helpful in getting me interviews to great companies as I am seeking employment. They continue to help me, and advise me on what can help me in this process. Jennifer Horan in particular has been very helpful.

I had a great experience with Houston City. I met with several other staffing agencies and they were not nearly as personable and helpful as Houston City. At the initial meeting with my consultant, we spent over an hour just going over my experience, ways to improve my resume and what types of positions would best fit my personality. They saw great potential in me that i didnt even see in myself. I was able to start with a temp position for 2 weeks and then secured a full time position. I could not have secured any of these positions without the help of my consultant. I highly recommend this agency!!

I had a great experience with Houston City Personnel! I now hold a permanent position with great pay in a wonderful company thanks to them! The process was very quick, and everyone was very helpful to me during my job search. They went out of their way to give me interview pointers such as what to wear, questions to ask and how to appropriately represent myself. I moved to Houston fresh out of college, knowing no one in the area. I would not have found work if it wasn’t for them. I found out very quickly that all the companies worth working for in this area only hire either people they personally know, or from staffing agencies. I highly recommend them to anyone searching for work, especially if you are new to the area.

I have been placed at two jobs through Houston City Personnel. Both times I had an excellent experience. The women I worked with were very attentive, listened to exactly what I was looking for and were so easy to work with. I always had a difficult time with recruiting firms. Ive met with many different ones who call you in for an interview with their company and forget you ever existed. I was a little skeptical when Houston City Personel contacted me with a few positions but decided to give it a shot anyways. I worked closely with Erin who put me up for some amazing opportunities. Great pay with great companies. Although I didnt stick the first few she continued to work with me and present me with interviews. She is absolutely amazing to work with. I am very disappointed with how much this staffing agency has diminished over the years. When I worked with them years ago, they were very responsive and professional. When I recently applied with them, my interview was a very negative experience. The coordinator I was assigned seemed unprofessional and biased. She questioned my references and my experience as if I were making up my qualifications. It seemed as if she was judging me. She even made a negative comment that she didnt believe that I knew the people on my list of references. I was very insulted. She told me I wasnt qualified for an Admin position with their agency. I find it hard to believe that someone with 15 years of Administrative experience and 8 year tenure with a Government Agency isnt qualified for their Administrative positions. Dont waste your time applying with this agency if you are a person of color.

Houston City is tops andJenna Zarka is the best! She has been my source for almost 20 years. Shes very nice, professional, direct, tough when needed, and she works hard for you. The Temp to Perm team works just as hard.

Even after reading the bad reviews I went in against my better judgment. It was a waste of time, you get the welcoming feeling when you walk in but once your sat down for the interview it turns cold and stand offish. I was told to contact Allison the next day and said she would get back with me, yea that never happened. WASTE of time and gas! Non professional.

If I could I would only give them a 2.5 in their ratings. I have been temping them for all most a year and not a single interview. I have gotten temp jobs hoping to land a permanent position, but it has led nowhere. It has been a very frustrating process. I have been in the final few for consideration several times, but it has not been me as of yet. If I am doing something wrong I would hope they have the decency to let me know to change something on my resume or let me know I should do something different. I have heard from other girls that other agencies have been producing for them. I would not recommend Houston City and if you do decide to go with them I would suggest going with other agencies as well to increase your odds in case H.C. does not connect you with a good position.

I used in Houston City Personnel when I was in a bind because I had quit my previous job to go to another one that didnt end up working out. Heres the thing, when you are hitting the pavement to find a job, its nice to have a group of people behind you, helping you, and working with you and also the companies that are looking to hire. At first, I actually did not hear back from this group, but then I received a call from Shania who said she had taken over the last persons position and wanted to know what I was looking for, interested in, etc. I went in that same day and had a great interview with her. She helped me with how to present my story and how I can be an asset to an employer. The job they got me turned out to be one of the highest paying jobs I had ever had because it was in the oil and gas industry. It turns out I was there for about a year in the position they found for me before moving onto bigger and better things. The whole time I was there, Shania would check in on me, particularly in the beginning, to see how things were going and to make sure it had been a good fit. While it was an admin job that was not actually the best fit for me, it served its place for a while and it was decent money until I was able to move on to more satisfying work that personally suits me.

They WASTED my time...they called me in for an interview and said that they were excited to help me find a job...I never heard back from them again. I tried contacting them several times and NO REPLY!! Dont go there!!
