It is really ridiculous how they have changed the rental agreements to out of town customers only. I had a business trip to attend in Dallas but I had to have round trip airline ticket to rent a car. Use to be a good customer. Now Ill have to take my business elsewhere! Very disappointing!

Worst experience EVER! 4:30p reservation.. received car at 7:08p. Not even the type I reserved! It was hands down the worst rental car experience of my life this far! I wouldn’t recommend this company to ANYONE!! All the men walking around in circles with their hands in the pocket. A really nice and ABOUT BUSINESS woman of color came on out and got EVERYONE who was waiting together in 20mins.. if she hadn’t of come out.. we would probably STILL be waiting!! 3 days later lol.Do not go here unless it’s a last resort! Horrible HORRIBLE service!

Without a doubt the worst rental car experience I’ve had. I reserved a vehicle for pick up at 2pm. I waited more than three hours. in that time, I saw THREE vehicles in the class I reserved be given to other people who came after me. Because of their poor business operations I missed two events and will have to miss my birthday event. I am in tears. To make matters even worse. There is no restroom, no wifi, and no water for the people who are waiting upwards of 3 -5 hours because the company practices overselling. This is a joke. Please save yourself the headache and hassle and do not rent here. Even if you have a reservation. Even if you have are part of their member club. None of that matters. This is the Spirit Airline of rental car companies. Do not rent from Hertz Dollar Thrift. Go somewhere else.

Long waiting line and they ended charging more than the competitors!

Dollar/Thrifty Rental is horrible.This place is a horrible. 45 minute wait for a car that I reserved, everyone is standing/ sitting around here waiting on car. Ive never had this experience before. It wont happen again.HORRIBLE PLACEGO TO ALAMO IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME.

I didn’t experience any of the scary things I read on other reviews. There was no line at all checking out or turning my car back in. There was no attempt to say some bogus damage occurred to my car. In fact, the lady who checked me in, Josephine, was hilarious and very friendly. And the lady who shuttled is to the airport, Billie, was just as nice. It was a very pleasant experience and the price was awesome!

No frills rental place but we got a great car at a great deal. Convenient shuttle to and from Hobby and drop off was easy.

Not to bad, they just need to update ther GPS. Coming from someone who was out of town. Having a GPS that work would have been a great help.

Very good place to rent at lower price. Im a frequent customer at this location simply to experience different cars plus its a breath of fresh air to drive a different car every once in a while. Ive yet to see long lines at location so in my experience it goes by fast and smooth. What I like about this place is that you get to decide which car you want to drive out of the rental category you chose unlike others where you leave in whatever vehicle they want to loan you. Even better, they added a new Chrylser 300 with that wonderful v8(drool) and i believe a Charger GT was also thrown in to the mix.

Didn’t have cars people reserved. I don’t mean type of cars. They had zero cars. They didn’t know when they would get cars back. People were just sitting around waiting. No one got a car over the course of the hour I stayed around. I cancelled and went with an alternative

The car was good, the service was fast, BUT they charged me $183.85 for ONE day! I returned a car with full tank, but they still charged me $51.78 for fuel purchase, requested minimal package insurance and they charged $76.77!!!!! So if you want to pay such a price for one day of car rental, welcome to Dollar! But I will not anymore!

Worst car rental experience ever. First of all the cars are older than national and enterprise. Process is slower at the airport and at the off site location. But whats most amazing is the scam operation they are running at the off site location. They gave us a old Nissan sentra which had a lot of wear and tear. They never asked us to inspect the vehicle when we left. But when we came back only a few hours later, within seconds they point to a small chip on the glass and then ask us to pay for it. I informed them that we are not responsible for the chip and no one asked us to inspect the vehicle and inform them about every single specks on the car. I even identified other issues for which they did not charge me because, as I said, its a old car. Well eitherways, they charged us for the chip. Never going for dollar again. Only reason we got dollar was because other ones were sold out.

Very helpful staff at this location will return to use them again.

Wouldnt get a car from this place again for nothing in the world .Cars were not even clean and they put the cars right on the full mark but not actually full of gas.And when you bring the car back just the way they gave it they wanna charge 300 for cleaning it .Beware about going to this place!

Quick and courteous service. The place looked like a dump on my visit.

They don’t have cars for people who’ve already paid for them. We waited in 107 degree heat with 10 other people waiting for available cars. And no lot attendants in sight.

Terrible experience. Be prepared for them to have no cars available and have to wait an hour

Do not use this company. They charged 3 people in a row for windshield repairs that were non-existent. They are running a scam here.

Rented us a car when they didn’t have any. I’m not expecting it to get any better.
