I used this company months ago and am still trying to get a simple invoice and certificate of satisfaction for my insurance company. My insurance agent and I have reached out to this company more than 10 times for this simple request and every time we get an excuse. I am having trouble getting reimbursed from my insurance company and no matter how many times I call and email this company, I am not getting anywhere. This is similar to my experience months ago prior to services being rendered- the communication is awful.
Really bad communication with everyone in the store. They sweet talk you into a good deal and promises they do no keep. They did not come out to finish the job or do some type of closing deal. My father had to do the finishing touches. The counter top they put up got stained because they did not come in on time to do it right! They add another $600 for some type of drying machine that is NOT needed. They do not work on weekends. They give the wrong addresses to their workers. And what should of been a 2 weeks work, ended up being over a month! But when it came to cashing those checks they were right on top of that! I have many more projects in my home but Im not contracting this place!
Poor ethics. We found PLM bc of their 5 star reviews however 5 stars has not been our experience. This experience has gone on for 7 months. Many employees and contractors have quit. Today we had a conversation with our project manager about not being paid. If you keep scrolling you’ll see reviews regarding this issue.Ownership is inconsistent and has admitted to taking on more work than they can handle. They have broken trust several times and do very little to make up for mistakes and errors. When you bring mistakes to their attention they often blame their employees or subcontractors. Mohamed the owner and I have clashed over his lack of accountability regarding setbacks.I regret pointing my parents to this company to restore their two rental home’s after the Houston freeze in February. We were sold an HGTV experience but we’ve ended up on an episode from Crime TV. If you live in their service area I highly recommend you do your research and ask several questions.Below are some screenshots of conversations with the owner minutes after first posting this review. Before this review he would not respond to my text messages.
They did my bathroom that was really plain. It looked like an apartment bathroom. Its my first house to own so I wanted it to NOT look like a dorm or apartment. Mark came out and took care of me. He designed it even though the space is real small. It looks good. My mom likes it so much shes having them do hers and make her a closet. Updates to follow on that Im sure
They messed up my cabinet doors when they put the knobs on wrong. Then they did not measure out the countertops correctly and placed the backsplash on wrong. I also ordered a new kitchen sink but I got a used one. This place is terrible!! Later I found out this place has several names. BEWARE!!!!!
PLM did great, ask for chancellor to come out and get a quote that young man will hook you up. We got our interior walls painted and man these guys did a such a great job we’ll definitely be coming back for more business later this year! Thank y’all for the great work money well spent!!!!!
So this company and its partner Sms flooring and remodeling which has horrible reviews ripped me off, they formed a new company called atlas to cover up there financial scams and bad reviews. when I went to get my money that they said they were going to give me for ripping me off, lying and saying they were going to Preform when they didnt, instead physically attacked me, run away and check out there reviews, Infact they made a new company called atlas to cover all this up.Also this group of 3 companies is known to do financial scams on there customers where they open up credit lines on there customers and take the money. Most there employees left, only the ones that support there scamming way are left.
Prices are very competitive, quality is excellent, and after sales service is great. We had some problems with the cabinets, which was not their fault, but they came out and fixed it nevertheless. This is what I call excellent customer service. Very pleased with the company and their people. Will definitely use again and very highly recommend to others.
I cant say enough about the level of professionalism and the quality of work. I am in Houston, and our home was flooded during the recent storms-with the associated freeze, power, and water outages. We called Amy, and we had an assessment of the damage the next day. The essential demolition (removal of the debris, damaged items, soaked ceilings, drywall, and insulation) and drying equipment was installed within three days of that first phone call. We were ready for the insurance adjuster before the city had restored water service. The team packed and stored away all of our undamaged belongings, and laid out the damaged items neatly for us to inventory for the insurance claim. Each step was thoroughly explained, and we were kept informed regularly. They made me feel hopeful when I felt hopeless. Their encouragement and professionalism are beyond anything I could have asked for. I am planning on hiring them to do the construction as soon as we get through the insurance claim process (which they are doing the bulk of). I cant say enough about the excellent services we have received so far,
Crystal came out to give us a quote on new floors for entire home along with a total gut and remodel of primary bath. I went out to the showroom and chose some absolutely beautiful finishes. We’ve decided to remodel the kitchen also. Can’t wait to get started. Prices were much lower than other quotes we received. We are remodeling for resale and they are so knowledgeable on directing us in the right direction to get a quality remodel without spending unnecessary money.
We recently had our new patio for our backyard with PLM “chancellor” the response time exceeded our expectations and gave us a great quote on the job. Looking forward to having them come do more work in the future! Thank y’all so much
This company went above and beyond! Our carpet somehow had some areas that needed to be stretched after two years. I called Mohamed and he assured me they would fix the problem under the warranty. Great customer service. I would definitely recommend them.
Fantastic work! We decided to remove our bedroom carpet and replace it with vinyl plank flooring, and couldnt be happier with the high-quality work PLM and their team did. From the very beginning, Crystal was responsive, honest, and always provided the best options available for our needs. Highly recommend them for any flooring, remodeling, and/or restoration projects you have in mind!
I was contacted by about 10 “contractors” with terrible customer service and had just about given up on updating the flooring in my home when Crystal Eguia called from PLM and offered to come out at my convenience after work and walk through my home with me. I was hesitant after I had been put through the ringer with other companies and their lack of knowledge and professionalism but I agreed. I later met them at their lavish show room, picked my flooring and they started my remodel the next week. Their staff doesn’t leave a mess in my house for me to come home to even during demo, it’s been a very smooth process and I am so happy I allowed them to come do the initial walk through. Plus they offered me 0% financing up to 24 months!
Crystal was amazing. I told her a few small details of what I wanted and the direction I wanted to go in and she was able to take that and come up with a great design. Cant wait until its completely finished now.
This company is the WORST - stay away - RUN!We were desperate for help after a pipe burst in our home in February, and we have 2 small children.Jeffrey Benzman, their sales manager, lives in a neighborhood near our home and promised that they would take care of everything and reassured us. After 2 months, all they got done was the demolition and remediation, and even that was not done correctly. Jeffrey lied to me over and over again about when they would put in dry wall. They broke tile during the demolition and I’m not sure if insurance will even cover it. The way they cut the ceiling and left it for weeks has resulted in the non damaged portion being cracked. When I told them that my insurance company does not understand why they have submitted for so much $ in damages and are requesting another bid, Jeff ghosted us and we have not heard from him since. This company is built on deceit and lies.
::::::WARNING TO ALL:::::::The sad part about this review is that it could have easily been avoided. However, I have been more than patient, my calls have been ignored, the only way I can get through to someone is calling the contractors they hire, which have no idea what is going on since they are temp. Or the PLM Sales Rep I am working with (Mark Merret) clearly does not hold any decision-making power but when I call the office that is the only person I am directed to, which always goes to voicemail. I held back from writing this to allow them time to perform the job and now my fear is they will either run with my money or continue to ignore me.PLM has shown terrible business practice and has left my tenants, who are disabled, without a place to live comfortably. Until I am provided the common courtesy of given proper lead times and ETA when parts of the project will be completed, I will continue to write a review on social platforms and make people aware of my situation to hopefully shine a light on the terrible customer service and greedy tactic of PLM Restoration. We are on day 45 since writing up a contract with PLM Restoration with no sign that they will finish the project they started with us. Our house was unfortunately damaged during the freeze. The house has not been livable since early March 2021 and our tenants, who are disabled, have not been able to return. PLM sold us on the fact that they are not like other companies and only picked up a certain number of projects to ensure they get to everyone quickly. That is unfortunately not the truth. PLM got greedy and bit off more than they can chew on the number of projects they can handle. Since our signing and them receiving our insurance money, we have been ignored, parts of the project have taken much longer than they should, and we have yet to know when parts of the project let own the whole project will be completed. I have tried calling and speaking with the owners (Mohammed) to no avail; “they are always busy”. I have tried calling my Sales Rep (Mark Merrett), who now ignores my calls and will only responds to text message, days later. I am continuously lied to about when things will start and when they do start they only do a small part to show “effort”, when there is so much left to do.At this point, we are literally handcuffed by PLM since they have our money. This is an unfortunate experience by far because my tenants continue to follow up on when they can come back, and I have no answer. Furthermore, it taught me a hard lesson on NEVER to trust any contractor with work in this town without a bullet proof contract that favors me.Whatever you do, do not hire PLM Restoration. They like to fill their pockets before committing the time to finish the job.
I love working with PLM team, they did a very professional work, they brought our vision to life, we are more than satisfied with the work they did. Our project manager was Jose Verdin, he did an excellent job, very professional and responsible. He kept me informed of every step, answered all my questions and made some great suggestions. I highly recommend PLM. And if possible request Verdin as your project manager. You will love his professionalism. Thanks PLM we are satisfied with the work.
Crystal Eguia was excellent. She was very professional and had a great eye for remodeling. She gave my fiancée and I some great ideas. The work turned out amazing. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to remodel or upgrade there home. Ask for Crystal you won’t regret it.
I would highly recommend PLM Remodeling for their great price, timely installation and the professionalism all the way around. Ask for Chancellor and hell take care of you. The tile we chose for our master bedroom is not only great quality but non slip when wet. It really changed the appearance of the room. We are going to be using them for another project.
Ask for Crystal Eguia, professional and prompt. Saved money on our beautiful new floors and they got it done quick. I’ve been telling everybody about her work
PLM Remodel and Restoration did an amazing job on our home! We remodeled our entire first floor with new floors, new kitchen, master bath, lighting fixtures, etc and everything looks better than we had even hoped for. I highly recommend David and his team for your home improvement or remodeling project!
We had them remodel our bathroom and it looks amazing. Chancellor was very professional and always had his guys on time.
Crystal Equia came to my home off of a recommendation from my neighbor. I dont need much done but she never made me feel like my job was too small or I wasnt spending enough money with Plm. She brought me back to their store and helped me pick out the most beautiful wood plank for my entire house. I cant wait for my new floors! Everyone there was very accommodating and professional. I highly recommend Plm for any remodeling needs
I wasnt feeling too hopeful when I called them to get a quote on some remodeling in a house I was left in a family will. The house is dated, but my budget isnt going to allow me to do any major remodeling, but I needed someone to come in and walk through the house and sell me on ways they could do minor upgrades to make the space look a little more modern...in a way that wouldnt cost me an arm and a leg. I, initially, called someone else. Their representative came out and the first thing I noticed was that he wasnt wearing a mask. I made a comment about it and he advised that he would keep a safe distance. But when we went into my house, he kept standing right next to me. When I made a 2nd comment, he then went on a tirade about how the media is lying about the pandemic...blah, blah, blah. It felt like he talked for an hour, but it was likely about 15 minutes that couldve been spent far more productively. I told him that I no longer needed his services. When the PLM representative came out, I was relieved to see that they sent a female, wearing a mask. Not that I have any issues with male representatives, but they can sometimes be quite patronizing to me. But I refuse to give my hard earned money to any company that would endanger the lives of my family members. Crystal Eguia, from PLM, was both professional and down to earth which was a comforting combination. She suggested a few things which, I could likely afford if I saved up, just a little for them. She also said she would take pictures to her other team members to see if they had alternatives, and then prepare a packet of options for me. I appreciate that she made me be safe with the ongoing pandemic, never spoke down to me, and didnt pressure me to purchase anything immediately. All design companies need a Crystal Eguia.
Excellent Job! They were wonderful, very professional, neat, good work ethic, great guys... I would highly recommend PLM Remodeling!!
We have nothing but a good things to say about PLM Remodel. My wife wanted a bigger bedroom and master bath and we got both. It has been a thrill for her and she is quite pleased with the results. the salesman was David and he made us a 3D model which is a great idea for sales. How could we say no. The result is beautiful. The price was reasonable. The workers in our home were nice and they clean up after themselves. All around good experience.
Crystal Eguia far exceeding my expectations of what a kitchen remodel could do for my home and my family. It was a pleasure working with their entire team.
So, we have just finished having our mother in law suite done by these people and we are very pleaSed with the results. It was made easy for us thanks to good communication and easy to get along with superintendents. I love love love the outcome. I’ve now sent my neighbors to have work done too. I highly recommend them.
Bathroom remodel project.Good sales team was able to help in design and very knowledgeable.Execution of the labor has not been on timing and taking longer than expected due to some delays on materials such as windows. Finish quality so far is good and Im happy with it. Waiting on finishing details. Will update once project is completed.
I am very pleased with my kitchen, it turned out even better than I thought it would, and PLM the fitter was brilliant, very hard working
3 years agoI am so glad I went with PLm. The price was fair, the result was excellent and everyone at the company made you feel that they were working with you. So all around 5 stars.
I was referred to PLM Remodel and Restoration by Angies List for a bedroom and master bath remodel where Mr. Sohail Awan contacted me for an appointment there we met the Owner Mohamed Alaoui who without my authorization opened an account with Synchrony bank and fraudulently charged 19885.00 the first time and 2 days later charged 1080.00, I contacted Synchrony bank 10 days later inquiring why I received a new credit card, customer service informed me the account had a balance of 20965.00. When I contacted Mr. Sohail Awan he informed me thats how they do business, later I received 2 receipts from the bank both with my signature forged by Mohamed Alaoui time stamps on both receipts indicated I was not present when those charges were applied. After doing research this was not the first time this has happen as Mr. Alaoui has scammed other people in the past, I too will be filing Fraud charges with the Harris County Sheriffs office
Engaged Plm Remodeling to repair and paint sheetrock damage. The owner and job foreman were great to work with, prompt to answer questions, and incredibly professional in their work. The sub that they used was conscientious, professional, and did incredible work. My wife and I have had two major remodeling jobs with them and have always been confident that when friends ask for a referral, Plm will provide excellent service. We continue to have them as our go to contractor without hesitation!
Very unprofessional work and sloppy jobs. They also promised me 5 days to finish building a bar but it actually taking 6 weeks without finishing. They also hire cheap labor workers to come to my shop to do the job( the guy came to build only 2 shelves with his 10 year old kid), took him and the kid 3 days to put 2 shelves on the wall and the shelves color don’t match with the cabinet( the cabinet color is stained but they decided to paint it with similar color). This is a totally scam, you should be awared of this place before calling them.
House I lived in with my family for 42 years burned to the ground 4 months ago. Devastation is the only word I know to describe what that was like. We didnt know what to do. The neighbor referred us to a guy named David and David referred us to a guy named Steven. Long story short, everyone there helped us stay calm and took care of business. We didnt lose the whole house, but most of it. They removed the water and soot. They built back a lot of our home. They dealt with the jerk from our insurance company who didnt want to give us fair prices on things that are necessities, like an HVAC UNIt. In the end it was a blessing but it wasnt at first. 42 years is a lot of accumulation and memories. Anyway, theyve finished up and we are very pleased with the turnout.
Great people to work with. I have used them for over 10 years.
Last fall, I entrusted my home to this company after a burst pipe caused flooding. Deedra took my call and was on site within an hour of the damage happening, and was amazing to work with. And, for the first week or so of repairs, the workers who came out were completely professional. We were so comfortable that we did not cancel our vacation for the following week. What a mistake! We came home to a disaster. Whereas they had been so careful before managing the demolition phase of the work, we came home to a coat of dust all over everything in the house. By everything - I mean everything. No room of the house, even closets with clean clothing, was spared - all because of a lack of cheap plastic coverings. Our refrigerator was unplugged and moved aside - with all of our food (now spoiled) still in it. And, many of our personal possessions had been moved - in one instance, a worker admitted he helped himself to an ipad that was tucked away in one of our closets and watched it in the living room, which was where we found it upon our return.I should have cut my losses but felt trapped in our contract. We buckled down and endured delays, workers leaving our doors unlocked when they left, urine and fecal matter on our toilets, etc. When painting, they couldnt even be bothered to use enough plastic to avoid paint transfer onto literally every piece of furniture that was in their work area. Yes, every piece, right down to each and every dining room chair. Finally, around Thanksgiving, the project was finished, and we thought we could breathe a sigh of relief. Not so. Twice more over the next six months, the plumbing they installed beneath the kitchen sink came undone and caused water to run out onto our new wooden floors. The first time, I allowed them to come and remediate the water. The second time, I finally drew the line and told them enough was enough and got someone else over here to fix it properly. I couldnt possibly feel more stupid for having not cut this relationship off long before I did.Unfortunately, it gets even worse. As the claim was being processed, Stephen assured me that PLM would handle the entire process with my lender. My lender requires that claims of this size be handled through their escrow. I gave PLM the check, and rather than submit it to escrow, they simply endorsed it to themselves and deposited it. Eight months later I am still getting calls from my lender about the claim, the check, and why they never received the money. Stephen claimed this was an accident. Well, after many, many attempts to get them to correct this accident over the last eight months, they still havent.I gave these people one star because I had to. I honestly think anyone considering hiring these guys would be better off burning their house to the ground and starting over somewhere else. Ive worked with a lot of contractors over the years, most of whom were pretty good, some of whom werent so good... but I have never, ever seen anything that even comes close to the awful experience we had with this company. Avoid at all costs!
Not a good experience. Mark came to my new home to look at replacing the carpet in the office with matching wood flooring as in the rest of the house. Since the house is 12 years old we decided that it would be difficult, so we discussed another option of using Travertine tile similar to what is in front of the fireplace. I went into the attic to get him a piece of the tile so he could take it back and match it. As my wife and I are standing with him on the wood flooring by the fireplace, he dropped the tile and put three gouges in the wood. He said he would send someone out to repair the floor. That was on Thursday, today is Saturday. No one has come, yet he did say if I wanted to come to the store to discuss and sign for the tile in the office, he could see me between 1 and 2 PM. So generous. Right. Now my wife is so upset about the gouges in the wood floor she will not even talk about my office.
8.28.2020 went inside at 250pm. No one inside. Lots of what a burger bags and food sitting on the counter. Waited 10 minutes no one came out the office. Left.
I need a small bar for my nail salon. It’s taking them over 2 weeks just to frame and put some cabinets. When I asked them how long would it take them to finish the bar, Andrew told me it’s only take them 4-5 days. What a joke! I won’t recommend this place to anyone.
Oh boy! Where to begin? This is my third time to use this company for a home Ive only owned for 5 years. When I first bought it, I used them to update the kitchen and three closets...and if I remember correctly, they did a fourth for free. Anyway, I dealt with David for that whole project. Everything was smooth (or as smooth as it can be when dealing with contractors). It was done a few weeks past the due date but it was fine. I loved my kitchen. Jump forward to the tax day floods...I was under water. Almost all of my new kitchen was completely ruined. I was heartbroken. My insurance company was being stingy and trying to give me nil on my cabinets. They were saying they would only pay for lower cabinets, when clearly I needed all new cabinets, as my home was under nearly 4 ft of water. Anyway, one of the owners (Muhammed maybe?) called and got them to give me what I was actually owed. That was a relief. I was very happy with the drying out and the rebuilding. Not to mention the beautiful upgrades to my already upgraded kitchen! So, fast forward to Harvey--well, I was again heartbroken, as was my very patient wife. I was done. I was angry. Matt, my sales guy, did all the grunt work for me. I never even spoke to the insurance guys this time. My house was dried out (again) and we are currently in the renovation stage. They have saved me a lot of anguish. I am pleased with the work. Obviously I would use them again (hopefully that never has to happen!)
Genuine care for the customer and their project. I was motivated and in a rush to see changes to my bathrooms and kitchen. When I walked into their showroom they took their time to find out exactly what I wanted. I had a vision about what I wanted to accomplish, yet they took that vision to another level and surprisingly kept it within my budget! I would recommend them to anybody who doesnt want to deal with costs being added as the project goes on because these guys put everything on the table in one estimate. They told me how much the project would cost in the beginning and I paid EXACTLY that. As for the installers that work for them, theyve been under their payroll for years and they did exactly what the company guaranteed, a flawless job. 5 stars.
My mother moved into her home two weeks before Harvey hit. She was under water by the end of that week. It was chaos. She was devastated. All our family photos, books, heirlooms, etc were all gone. We called the insurance company and they were not willing to give us anything. FEMA was so freakin’ difficult! We were referred to Floor Spring Designz by my mom’s friend from church. I was the one who called and spoke with Dedra. She was very nice, she was very knowledgeable. THEY TOOK CARE OF EVERYTHING. My mom stayed with me through the whole long process but as of this week, she’s back in her home. It is better looking than it was before the flood. Grateful for these guys (and Dedra).
MY FAMILY LOVE THE WORK THIS COMPANY DID FOR MY MOTHERS HOME. WE REFER TO MANY PEOPLE AFTER THE STORM LAST YEAR.
Great job, constantly worked without any breaks. I was satisfied with their work. Thanks for Carlos and Franky.
David and Deedra helped me, I wasnt rushed into making a decision. They have many many products to choose from.
We have used them for many different projects and have been very pleased with the results every time.
I am totally disappointed with this company I have two weeks waiting to finish my kitchen, First you have to pay in advance then the send a guy in charge of this project, this guy have no idea how to run a project he came with 3 man to take everything down and then only one man to install the cabinets he took 3 days by hem self he finishes las Friday I have to wait the hall weeks for the guy to install the granite because he had another scheduled so finally he came on Saturday he only took 5 hours to do his job and then i have to wait to Monday because the man in charge don’t have the workers ready to do everything at the same time it’s really frustrated deal with a company who doesn’t care for the customers satisfaction..there not professionals not recommended
Master bath and upstairs bath outstanding. Fire place great job, great worker
They were wonderful, very professional, neat, good work ethic, great guys! They also repaired the concrete in our kitchen. Thank you!
Doing a great job. Wish all contractors were as customer focused and skilled!
The job was done very good, I like it.
There are two companies that operate with FSD -- PLM Restoration and FSD Flooring. PLM Restoration did the mitigation work for us after our house flooded in the Tax Day flood. They were extremely professional and we had a lot of confidence in the contractor/owner Ahmeds workmanship and commitment to getting our house dry and safe. We have since worked closely with several of the people at FSD to get a rather extensive build-back started. Im excited to see the final product and to move back into our remodeled home. Everyone we have worked with at FSD has demonstrated knowledge in their field and made us feel comfortable entrusting our largest investment with them. The employees at FSD seem to truly have empathy for our plight and have gone above and beyond to help us navigate the difficult process with our insurance and get back on our feet. This review will be updated when the work has been completed.
Excellent work. I hope he will do the rest of the tile work
Jody was a pleasure to work with. Very courteous and updated us regularly

Good job.
Great crew!

Son unos estafadores llevo 9 meses pagando el crédito de mi piscina y no me han hecho nada y todo es una mentira
