I have chosen to give Hargraves Barber Shop a good star rating however, I will not return. I was recommended this place by a 65 year old man and I feel that is more of their target demographic. I also feel any father wanting to take their boy to get a little boys cut would be very pleased. It is definitely the fastest haircut I have ever had, in and out in 5 minutes. If that is something you value highly then you wont be disappointed. This place is just not for me. Again, if you are an old white man, old white mans kid under the age of 13 who typically has little to no say in your style/choices/haircuts, grandparent, police officer, any middle aged man who might be balding, or just anyone with a very conservative upbringing/outlook, I feel like this would be your ideal experience! I am just not a good fit for the services offered or the general environment here.

This is hands down the best place anywhere to get a “real” haircut. Everyone here is friendly, professional, and knows how to cut hair.It is a local Texas establishment and you should be going there. The folks are interesting and all are authentic Texan.I took my dad there for years. He had Alzheimer’s and when he came in and was sure the haircut was one dollar they went along with it. I paid the rest.When my Dad was later confined to a bed they offered to go to the hospital and give him a shave and hair cut. I am tearing up right now writing about their kindness.The only place I will get my haircut.You should too!

If youre looking for a modern hair cut (combover, fade, etc). Do not come here for the love of god. A part of me dies when i look in the mirror because i did not even get close to what i wanted and I probaly could have cut my own hair better. Also fyi, expect no one to wear a mask while cutting your hair. The only thing decent is the price point compared to other barbers. I would have gave it 2 stars but I could easily tell the guy (with the beard) who cut my hair honestly put 0 heart into the cut and seemed like he rushed the job to get me out of there. I am now stuck with a hideous fade and wont come near this place again.

Best cut for your kids on this side of town. Stay far away from sports clips, come here.

Not coming back to this barber shop. They didnt know how to cut my hair or what a taper fade is. Your styles are outdated. all and all i was left with my edge up all crooked. Worst $40 ive ever spent on a hair cut. One side is longer then the other. Cant believe i have to walk around with a crooked hair cut till my hair grows back.

Only been once but I’ll be back. Matt cut my hair exactly like I wanted. Old school barber chairs and straight razor shave on the neck was awesome. Reminded me of the barber shop my dad used to take me to. Highly recommend

Have been searching for the right kind of shop in Cypress for years. A friend suggested Hargrave’s, specifically Larry. Very happy I went by. Got a shoe shine a great haircut (old fashioned, using hot layered and razor on neck and over ears) and very reasonable price. My new go-to place!

I have been there many times. They are professional and even have a shoe shine. They are a full service real barber shop! I bring my son for a great cut as well. Very traditional place.

I need my hair cut, not extended or colored. Larry Hargrave is my barber and he CUTS hair. Not just snip and comb and hows that like in salons. Wouldnt go anyplace else as long as I am around these parts.

First time visiting a barber shop never thought anyone could give a shave and haircut for me than myself but definitely proved me wrong. Love the new cut and style given to my beard! Everyone was nice and welcoming. Will definitely be getting another cut here again!

WORST place to go for beards! Old man did a terrible job! Totally did not listen to what I asked for and I am completely butchered now. Stay FAR away from this place!

This is a Barber Shop, not a hair salon. A Barber is the only person who knows how to give a proper military cut. I asked for a Marine Corps High and Tight at a hair salon and got a high top fade??? That was the closest thing they could do. A Barber knows their way around a pair of clippers.

A real Barber Shop -- 4 chairs ... You can choose your barber and your style. Prices are more reasonable than others in the area.

Best family barber shop in Houston. Ive been coming here since the 1970s. My dad and neighbors came here and a couple that are still alive still do. I have a few friends that still come here. Great people all around.

Been going here for 30 years. Friendly staff; they all know how to cut my hair with very little instruction. $1 off for seniors on Thursdays (and now Wednesdays also, I think). Very little waiting time during the week.

Went there to get my husbands beard trimmed and cleaned up. A lady cut it. When we left his beard was uneven. I have been trying to get my husband to go to a professional beard trimmer. Now I doubt he will ever try it again

I went to the lady and she did a poor job on my hair, I asked for a fade and it seemed like she didnt know how to cut it even though she said she did. Everyone seemed to go to the old man, so idk, he could be way better but Im giving this place a 1 because the lady messed up my hair and she seemed like she didnt know what she was doing.
