Had an appointment for an express cut for 4:00PM, got there a few minutes but late right at 4:05. Subsequently had to wait a 4-5 additional* minutes for the stylist in the waiting room (it was now 4:10), but thats no problem for me. However, when sitting down I asked my stylist about the shampoo thats included and if its after the haircut. The stylist simply replies yeah we are going to skip that now because its late... you got here 10 minutes late, citing a 4:30 appointment he had. No sir, I was not 10 minutes late, but also a haircut is not a rushed service and you simply do not decide to skip things, particularly without telling me (if I hadnt asked). When I mentioned that Id rather not pay $45 for half service, the stylist initially suggested how about a rinse instead? but then subsequently referred me to the front desk to sort it out with the manager. To my surprise, the manager seemed like she could not be bothered by the situation. I ended up leaving which meant a 40 minute round trip journey for no haircut. Not how the service industry works. Highly highly disappointed having thoroughly wasted my time. During a pandemic, Im surprised corporate can tolerate customer service this poor. I hope they take notice, though for now I will certainly be going elsewhere for haircuts.**I have, however, had great experiences at a different Boardroom location so Im hoping its terrible management (and this particular stylist?) at just Tanglewood.

I love the Boardroom and this location. I’ve been a member for years and have been coming here for the last two. It is always super clean and the staff is so friendly. I’ve been going to Ariell for over a year now and I always get an excellent haircut along with the additional relaxation from the Benchmark service. Couldn’t recommend it and her enough!

Since I started coming to Boardroom at Tanglewood location, I fell in love with this place. My stylist Ariell is amazing and very talented. She pays a meticulous attention to detail. Above all, she is very professional, friendly, and punctuate. It is because of her professionalism and excellent quality of service she provides week in and week out, I became a regular customer to Boardroom at the Tanglewood location.

The experience at The Boardroom always is a positive one and Ive been coming here for years!

The Board Room is clean and very nice but Michelle is the reason I go. She has been cutting my hair for 10 years now and I was so excited when she moved to this salon because its only about 15 minutes from my house. Michelle does a better job cutting my hair better than anyone else has and always remembers what I like so I dont even have to tell her.

All of the workers at the boardroom where welcoming and nice. The area was very clean and my haircut was very nice in the end. Jamal was who trimmed my hair and the outcome was very nice and precise. I’ve never had a haircut done better

I went in with long hair and a long beard. I asked meaghan to keep the beard long. She butchered 6 months of growth. The haircut was good. The beard trimming and sculpting was horrible. Do not go here with a long beard if you expect to keep it!!

Benchmark and a Beard Trim every month like clockwork. Arielle gave me my first cut from a coupon I was given over a year ago. Ive never even considered my own hair before I visited The Boardroom. Her care and professionalism, (as well as telling me to grow my beard out) does a world of difference. I am eternally grateful and satisfied.

Worried about cironavirus and haircut. But when I arrived all people had masks on. They showed me how after each client they cleaned chairs and all equipment. They also take temps and offer hand sanitizer. I felt very comfortable and safe .

Ive visited with Ariell F a few times now as a new client at The Boardroom Tanglewood.She was open to and helpful with suggestions after my first cut to help me get the cut I was looking for.Shes personable and comfortable to be around. Recommend for new clients.

I was definitely happy when I saw the location and the atmosphere of the Salon. My hairstylist Megan did a phenomenal job! Hands down the best haircut I have had in a long time!!

Simply the best place to get a haircut or shave! Shaunte is the best. She goes above and beyond any previous haircut experience I’ve had before. The membership option is awesome - I can go whenever I need to and just pay once per year. I’m very sad that I’ll have to miss my regular visits because I’m going out of state.

I’ve been going here for about six months and have no complaints! I see Ariell and she does an excellent job every time! I’ve never done a membership anywhere else but I did here. If you’re big on consistency and scheduling then this is the place to go and Ariell is the stylist to book.

Whether its sneaking in for a quick trim or capping off the week with The Benchmark treatment (highly recommended), The Boardroom is the place to get your hair cut. Neisha took the time to understand what I wanted, offered suggestions based on my hair type, and continues to give me a perfect haircut every time... And I am really picky about haircuts. The staff in general is extremely friendly and they without a doubt have my continued business.

I had my first visit to the Boardroom today. Crystal was the professional that took care of me. Being that this is my first time having a straight razor cut I was a little nervous. Crystals kind and patient manner and ease to talk relaxed me and I have an exceptional experience. I do believe the Boardroom has made me not a diva but a divo. I cant wait to tell my wife that I am going to get my hair and nails done!!!

Worse experience I’ve ever had at a nail salon. The price are on the high side, attendants were pleasant but the actual work was the worse I’ve ever had in 20 years. Took my son for a special day and he too said The was a one and done. Dave your money and go somewhere else

I have been a customer of Neshia for about a year now, I used to be a customer of hers when she was at the Heights location. She is an extraordinary stylist who cuts my hair just right every time and she has a great personality. I have since relocated to the Dallas area and I still have her cut my hair when I am in Houston for work. She is the only one that cuts my hair, i will wait an extra two or 3 weeks so that work will take me to Houston and then i go see her.

Absolutely wonderful. My (stubborn) grandfather was in desperate need of some grooming. We had Crystal, and she was so patient with him, and took such care and time! He had the express hair cut and the traditional hot lather shave. Such care was taken with the details (trimmed his eyebrows, snipped his nose and ear hairs!). He looked like a different (and younger) man when he left! Than you so much!

Well........the service is awesome!! The girls upfront always offer me beers (I wonder if they think Im an alcoholic). Neisha cuts my hair and she is top notch! She also went and got me a drink from Whole Foods across the street because she thought I wanted it lol. I loved it so much I bought the year long membership. Definitely should give them a try.

I cant say enough good things about my experience at the Boardroom Salon! I have been coming here since I moved to Houston 18 months ago. I have been getting my haircut from Stanley the entire thing. Hes a great barber who is attentive to the details that are so important to a great haircut and also has an awesome personality. He cares to get to know the people whos hair he is cutting. Additionally, I always get my Benchmark with Neshia. The Benchmark is the signature shampoo, and face/arm/hand massage; nobody does it better than her. Between the two of them and the always friendly front of house staff, I leave this place happier than when I walked in. Every single time!

The service here is as good or better than any other luxury salon Ive seen. 3. They offer competitive pricing packages for people who need frequent haircuts. Ive grown up in Houston and visited many salons. Because of my thick, stubborn hair type, it has been difficult to find a stylist who can cut it. Im very happy to have taken a chance and visited this place.

First time. Last time. Will not return. Had appt. with manager. Sat down in chair and she pulled back the tarp around my neck hard! I start tell her what I was looking for in a haircut. I could not even finish talking and she tells me.... you are making this more difficult than what this really is. I was told when I set my appt. that there would be a consultation. I just wanted someone to listen. She needs to find another job. She did not look happy and was way too pissed off to be cutting hair. Needless to say, I got out of the chair and left. Do not waste your money on this *#&^#^ that shows no respect. $45 dollars to have someone cut your hair the way they want it done. No thank you!!
