A Houston institution, a classic! Ive been to Raymonds over the past 4 years and they have never disappointed. Its a family ran business that takes pride in their trade, and they are open early! They do a great job! Not to mention its an affordable price for the location. I moved from Houston but would visit Raymonds if I ever come back. I miss this place, to be honest. Decided to give this place a shot. Was in and out pretty quickly and it didn’t seem too thorough but the cut was decent enough - not spectacular. Unfortunately I didn’t check the neckline and found it was very uneven. I don’t know how you can let someone leave with such an obviously poorly done neckline. Had to go to another shop to fix it because they’re closed on Sunday. Very disappointed and a waste of money and time.

I advise calling ahead to make sure theyre open even if Google says they are. The price is good. I give my barber a $5 tip on top of that and still feel like Im getting a bargain. Rays is an old-fashioned shop where the barbers know your name. I have no problem driving in from Katy to get a cut. I love this place!

Been going to Richard for years, loved all my haircuts, and have grown to love the family that runs it . Unfortunately my family had to move to DC for a great job, but every holiday when I visit, I never fail to get a haircut with Richard . But what makes this barber different, is his heart of gold. My father recently had a massive fall and broke his femur, he was hospitalized for 3 weeks for rehab, he was feeling pretty blue and depressed. Richard time out of his Sunday morning and headed down to to the hospital and gave my father a great haircut and shave, he left my father feeling like a million dollars and cheered him up, can’t put a price on that, comes from the heart.

This place is awful. I visited last week. The staff are incredibly rude and the haircut was probably the worst I’ve had. The guy cutting my hair seemed more interested in the TV then his job. I’ve never written a review before but this service was so poor I felt I had to warn others. It is also overpriced. Avoid at every opportunity.

Every time you call no one ever answers the phone or the Mailbox is Always Full.Then if someone does answers, they tell you what time the Barber 💈 you want comes in and you get there and they’re never on time.I had to wait an Hour 1/2, every time I asked where he was the answer was “He’s on his way” an Hour and a Half later no 👎🏻 show and so I had to leave or I would’ve missed my Flight.Got there at 9am the Barber supposedly was to have arrived at 8am and I had to leave with no haircut 💇🏻‍♂️ at 10:30 🕥 to not miss my flight ✈️ 🧭 🧳

Absolutely the best barbershop in Houston. It may take a while, but its definitely worth the wait because they actually take the time to do a great haircut and have a single blade razor cut as well which is great. They are very nice and remember every customer and their hairstyle which amazes me everytime. The actual haircut itself is great and the customer service is amazing!

Raymonds Barber Shop is a family run, old school community Barber Shop. Most of his customers are longtime customers because of the great service, friendly attitude and lack of commercialism. Anyone that posts a complaint about this place will most likely be young, yuppies spoiled to commercially run sports style businesses with pretty girls or beauty hair salons. Raymond’s is not a beauty salon. It’s a man’s barbershop. Raymond’s is like a military establishment, meaning he opens early and closes early. This is the place to come and enjoy old school service, a man’s haircut and/or trim for a very good price, the last of a dying breed of barber shops.

Today I was in Houston having tests run at MD Anderson and stopped by to get a beard trim. The barber (I wish I had gotten his name) trimmed me up real nice and saw that I had a medical bracelet. He asked about my treatment and I was able to tell him the news that I am in remission. Without a moments hesitation, he shook my hand and told me not to worry about payment. While I do not live in this city, I will make it a habit to stop in and give them my business. You now have a life-long customer.

The haircuts may be great, but I dont know, because the customer service is not. Im not from the city so I was trying to find somewhere to go. When I walked up to the front door, there was a man sweeping the floor, and another cutting a mans hair. They saw me walk up, and when I pulled on the door, it was locked. I thought maybe they kept it locked because it might be a bad neighborhood, so I waited a few seconds to see if theyd open it for me, since it wasnt their closing time.They LITERALLY SHOOED ME AWAY. Like I was a stray dog or something. I havent been so insulted in a long time. Even if they did close early for whatever reason, treat potential clients with respect. Obviously, I went somewhere else.

Great attention to detail and they dont rush you when your getting hair cut, even if theres alot of people waiting. Expect to spend at least an hour here, but its totally worth it!

Low quality haircuts, rundown little shop with outdated equipment and rude staff. Haircut done with my back facing the mirror so the barber could watch the TV. Used a cut-throat razor to tidy up back, but didn’t change the blade for a new one. Not only is it unhygienic it’s also dangerous. Echo the previous bad comments and suggest this place is avoided.

Poorly managed waiting system (there isnt even a sign in sheet, which has been around for 30 years in this industry). I sat there waiting as others that came in after me went ahead of me. Decided a business with this lack of professionalism did not deserve my business and walked out

For the past month or so, they have been closing early. I have been several times this month after work to either find them closed or them locking the door as I and others are trying to walk in. Not sure whats going on, seems they are trying to thin out their customer and they are doing a good job of it.
