This company is both totally incompetent and also are complete scam artists. Big Blue was sent by my warranty company to repair my air conditioning system the week of August 31, 2020. Allegedly my blower motor was broken, approximately a $900 repair. I was quoted almost $1300 for a chemical clean, that was supposedly required in order for my warranty company to cover my repair. When I refused to pay $400 more for a cleaning than the entire cost of the repair, I was yelled at by the companys manager, Candace, over the phone because I was refusing the cleaning. She told me that she had never seen a repair covered when a customer refused the cleaning, and that she would have to postpone my appointment until the warranty company responded. I insisted I needed my appointment immediately. Candace called the warranty company right after our call and unsurprisingly, the warranty company refused to cover the repair and i had to pay $896 cash. Candace then refused to give me the photos that were supposedly submitted to my warranty company of how dirty my system was (I doubt there are any photos). Sometime in the 4 days after our blower motor was repaired, the system stopped working again and showed an error message. We contacted a local company recommended by acquaintances that we were told were trustworthy. As it turns out, our entire circuit board was now broken, which they stated was likely the problem in the first place. They also reviewed our invoice from Big Blue, stated that the quote for the clean was for parts of the system that the technician couldnt even access, but less see to be able to diagnose them as dirty. Also, our AC unit did not need to be cleaned, and even if it did, it would cost about $250. Titan (our recommended company) then replaced the circuit board. Three days later, our system would come on but nothing would come out of the vents. Titan came back out and discovered that the blower motor installed by Big Blue was installed completely incorrectly, with brackets all wrong and the wires connected improperly so that the motor was pulling about 20 amps instead of 5 (thank goodness my husband immediately shut it off when it stopped working, or it would have blown our brand new circuit board). Also, Big Blue charged us for the top of the line motor, when they actually installed a cheap universal one. Big Blue not only failed to correct the problem with my unit, but mis-diagnosed it and cost me over $1500 in additional servicing and parts between the circuit board and blower motor to fix Big Blues incompetence.

Contracted through HWA. They sent technician out to diagnosed systems which ended up with a replacement of both units. Assured that I dont need to do anything and took the deposit.Two weeks later, nothing is moving. Hear nothing back from Big Blue since. I followed up with HWA to only told that Big Blue should contact their department regarding the order and next step which they did not. My house has been uninhabitable due to no AC for 2 weeks. Even HWA rep cant even contact Big Blue as they tried to. I got reassigned another contractor

First I would like to say I dont usually take the time to do reviews for companies, and I know I probably should. Big Blues emailed links on the other hand made it so easy. Big Blue was contacted by my home warranty because my AC wasnt working. Moments after I called my home warranty I received a call from Karla with Big Blue. She was able to schedule me same day! The time frame was a 4 hour window but the technician gave me a heads up before heading over making it doable. When he arrived and was able to diagnose the system he was very informative, and knowledgeable.. As he is explaining my compressor failure and the options I had to get system back up and running, I was googling and confirming every point he made. After all was said and done, I was able to get my system replaced as Big Blue helped me get some cash back from my warranty to apply to the replacement.

I was very pleased with the installation of six air condition units, (6 -10 tons) at our church. Ron, the owner manager, was there from the bidding process until the completion of the job. He and his guys were very professional. He proved to me that satisfying the customer was number one. We went over several plans in trying to determine what type of units were best suited for us. Ron was very patient with us for we contacted him many times after normal business hours, even on weekends. He was always prompt and we always communicated before and during the job. He made himself available whenever I needed him. His crew did an excellent job installing the units. They worked together as a team and through my observation, they were knowledgeable in performing the job with no downtime. The office staff were kind and polite and they were always willing to assist when I couldnt reach Ron. We were very pleased with the job and a relationship was established during this process. We highly recommend Big Blue to anyone in need of air conditioning service.

I definitely am going to recommend to all my friends and family! I believe his name was Ron, took care and fixed all of our needs and quoted my husband and I an amazing price. We are so happy with our air conditioner it runs like when you buy a new home. We definitely felt well taken care of, and didn’t have to wait long at all. Stay away from this business unless you want to give money away! Big Blue was sent to my home by my warranty company, they told them that I needed a new compressor which would cost $1,962.00. The warranty company denied the claim because Big Blue said that it was shorted out to the ground and that voided the warranty. I called a reputable Air Conditioner company who came out and the difference was this technician came with tools (volt ohm meter and AC Manifold Gauge) to check to find out exactly what the problem was. It was determined that only the capacitor and too much freon was in the system. Total cost for my bill from qualified technician was $150.00. In conclusion if you want to over pay and not get service, Big Blue Air Conditioning & Heating will give you exactly that.

Amazing company! Better than fair prices. The very first person I spoke with, Carla, listened to my A/C issue, helped me get a great price, texted and called me and got me help the very same day. The director, Ronald, came by an answered my many questions. He even drew me diagrams to help me understand. The fellow that fixed my unit, Rafael, was extremely qualified and did an amazing job. I plan on researching their maintenance plans and I usually do not do those but that is how much I value and appreciate their work.

I saw some poor reviews from home warranty owners and I will address that.But first: Candice is amazing. She knows a lot about HVAC and what she doesnt know she will find for you. She worked very hard fighting my home warranty for me, and I am so thankful for her. I decided to upgrade and replace the entire system, and they came through with the best price of 8 quotes I got. They threw in a nice smart thermostat as well.As for home warranties: make sure your unit is clean or they will be forced (by your home warranty) to do a cleaning before they even diagnose it, and they have to take pictures. This is not the fault of Big Blue, its your HW trying to deny you payment. My unit was clean so I didnt have to deal with that part. My HW was dragging their feet, and she spent hours, literally hours, day after day on the phone with them pushing them to make a decision.Finally, I paid out of pocket and will wait for them to refund me, but the service from Big Blue was very personal. They came back to check on me, and make sure it was good. I couldnt ask for more.Again, if you have a home warranty, cover your bases, clean your unit before you call! do regular maintenance on your house! If they send BB to your house, I am sure you will get a great level of service, and your warranty company will blame them. They will tell you we are still waiting for the diagnosis which is what they told me, after they sent me an email detailing the diagnosis. I caught them in a lie. Its not the first time my warranty lied to me about a vendor and I proved it to them by forwarding their own email back to them.You can trust Big Blue, but you cant trust your home warranty.Thank you Candice for working so hard with me on this, and I am very happy with my new system and the service.

Had I read these reviews I never would have used this company. However, according to the Better Business Bureau, this company had NO bad reviews. In May 2020 I paid over $5300 to have a ductless a/c and heating unit put in my home. I must say at the time of installation the service was very professional, but afterward, their service stinks. First, a hole was cut through my home apparently by mistake and no one told me about it. When I went outside to show a friend the unit, I saw this hole with what looks like a big bandage trying to hold it in place. Second, I have asked for warranty papers and is constantly given the round around. Third, I have asked if this unit has a filter in it (I was told by Candice that she doesnt know) because I have been sick as a result of the air. So sick that I went and took a Covid test in July because I didnt know what was causing me to cough so bad. I was told on August 14th that they were going to repair the hole. I did not here from them so I called back September 14th, one month later. I will call them again tomorrow and the BBB to let them know I NEVER would have went with this company had they took the time to update their records. All I can say, is dont use this company, TRUST ME!

I contacted this company thru my home warranty insurance and it was send to my address, after a diagnosis they told me the circuit board was broken and quoted $776 for the part, also the blower motor which is $695, run cap $127, cleaning $952, over all it was going to be over 2k, since i didnt want to pay the $952 for the cleaning, they contacted the home warranty and my claim was denied. I already saw a couple reviews here in google which are exactly like my experience. In which they are all affiliated and will literally tell you everything is basically is wrong with your ac and that is due to a lack of maintenance to deny you and not pay for the repair. I had a different technician from a different company come up about 45 days prior to this company showed up and they never said i had to literally buy a new ac. Please stay away from this place.

This company is a joke! The main lady CANDACE is the rudest person ever. This place is a scam!! Done ever EVER do business with them. They will pretend to fix your A/C and make it seem like you need something expensive. First of all let me begin with the customer service .... amazing and professional. All my questions were answered in a timely manner. We had issues with our new system and the company that installed did not want to keep to their warranty claim .. However, upon first inspection of the unit by Mr Henry he realized the issues and promised a running system and that’s exactly what we got. I appreciate the honesty both in work and pricing. The company will be highly recommended. I cannot speak for everyone else on the reviews but you can assure yourself that my experience and business with big blue AC was the best . Oh let me not forget the punctually and the available bilingual staff that was able to explain the job and quote to my father whom seems to always be left out of most jobs due to his inability to communicate in English that’s a big one with me .

This company has been to my house 6 times now I paid over 1300.00 did everything they recommended me to do and I still have a leak in the actic down to my game room they never clean up I have had to cut the sheet rock drywall and repair just for the same problem to reoccur again. Do not use this company.

This company is awesome! A/C went out about 3 a.m. this morning. I tried to make arrangements through our warranty company, however, it did not happen. After a couple of hours being on the phone with them, I called this company and the owner came out and fixed it within 45 minutes. Reasonable prices, nice and lovely dispatcher, they service Katy area as well. I am soooo glad I have their number now.

Ron and his excellent team at Big Blue AC and Heating have gone above and beyond what I expected. They handled a long list of issues with my AC/Heating system, treating me more like family than a customer. They suggested and, when I gave the OK, insulated my garage, and replaced the timer on the garage exhaust fan, to save me electrical bills. This is the sort of customer service one would expect from the most expensive company in Houston, yet their price to do all the repairs was nominal. I truly give Big Blue AC and Heating my highest recommendation! And if by a far chance you arent totally satisfied, call them. They stand by their word to make sure the customer is happy. Matt was awesome with his prompt service and advice on how to remedy my AC issue. We called and he came out within an hour to our home and fixed the problem quickly. Very reasonably priced as well. I recommend this company to anyone!

Initially this company worked on my unit for a day and when they left it still wasnt working. I think there was a miscommunication with the owner and I was not aware that they knew it still wasnt functioning properly when the technician left. When I called the next day they sent out another technician who fixed the unit.Pros: They fixed my AC. Both technicians were courteous. When I did speak to the owner they were courteous, helpful and sent another technician to fix the problem.Cons: It took 2 days to fix it (actually 3 because the initial eval was on a holiday). Communication through technicians to customers is a little fuzzy, which made me very anxious when the first technician left not having fixed the unit but after taking my money for parts. However, as above, when I ultimately did speak with the owners they were helpful and ultimately fixed my AC.

Very sketchy company....my system was cooling and called them out to do a check bc it was a few degrees warmer. Told me I needed 10lbs of freon for a system with a Max fill of 8lbs and when I declined I believe they let out some of my freon and now the system wont cool. They do home warranty work because if they relied on word of mouth they wouldnt get any business. Said they added in 5lbs but system isnt cooling at all...crooks if you ask me. Stay away if you have the chance.

The good: They were here on time and the next day after we called. Their customer service game is on point. They had some trouble getting the A/C started and they stayed here until it was working. The owner even showed up. They stayed until about 10 pm. They got the job finished in one visit.The bad: They didnt bring a dolly to transport the A/C unit from their vehicle to their to the concrete pad where it sits. From our end, it didnt seem like they knew how to troubleshoot all the problems that came with installation.The ugly: They failed to check the drip pan line from the attic to the outside of the house. They were saying we had a clogged pipe leaving the drip pan however we have video showing it was a poor fitting. Because they claim the clogged pipe, they have refused to repair the damage to the ceiling causing us to have to seek out drywall repair in our own.The update: 36 hours after the posting of this review, the ceiling was fixed. Still upset it took a Google review to get results but I can say Im happy with the repair job they did.

Big Blue came out and did our duct work and installed our new A/C. We got several bids and they were the lowest and reviews were good on home advisor. We went with them and they did the job in 2 days. Be cautious because they were on top of the job during but once it’s completed and you need something it’s impossible. Trying to get a new cover for our unit as it has dent and the job was done in April we are in July and nothing. Also getting a hold of someone is like pulling teeth.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this company. I was set up with them through my warranty and when they showed up the first thing the tech says when telling me the problem is that he is here to help me and if I have cleaned the unit. I explained that I always clean it myself and that I just cleaned it a month ago. Since it was not done by a company he proceeded to say that he will write up a claim to the warranty but since he will include pictures it will be denied. I told him to send it because the unit was clean. When he wrote it up he finished the claim with “not working due to lack of maintenance. I told him he is writing the claim that way to make sure it fails. He said they have to be honest with the warranty although he just offered to clean it before the claim for $270 and would put the claim in without the lack of maintenance comment. They came the next day to perform the service and the compressor still shut off. They did not check the problem correctly and now had to file another claim. The owner or service manager was on the phone with me already giving me prices without consulting the warranty. He got upset when I said I want the money i paid to be used towards the real repairs. This was Friday. The office lady named Carla who is a huge lair said they would have it filed first thing saturday. It is monday night and she never submitted the claim after me calling her several times to get an update. Carla continued to lie and said she submitted it but would call the warranty company and would call me right back. She has not called yet.They are liars and crooks. Do not give them your money and trust them to provide good and honest service. I am not a person to go give bad reviews, but they are truly con artist and care nothing about providing you with honest service.I have cancelled my warranty and am now going to replace my whole unit. They are aware i have a 4 month old and a 5yr old who have had to endure this heat at night for a full week. They are not submitting the claim because they prefer to keep the $370 i paid them rather than correcting the problem. This has been the worst experience I have ever had. It feels as if someone broke into my house and stole from me.

Had Matt out to look at my AC systems because they werent cooling well. He looked over my system and took care of all the problems. Matt seems very knowledgeable and curious. Over all a very good experience I would recommend him and Big Blue if you have AC problems.

My hard earned money should be spent to fix the real problem. My home warranty sent Big Blue for my AC problem. It has leak in evaporator and needs Freon charge. First technician even didn’t check the system and said it needs cleaning and the cost is about 770$ and said we will report home warranty it needs maintenance. You have to do this cleaning, then we will look at the problem. I refused to pay this. But he took 100$ for his show up. I had my vendor to clean the system by 159$ to have my home warranty to fix the AC. But when Big Blue came with his owner, they refused to report the problem to home warranty and this time owner said that we can’t see the inside. We have to install view door and then clean the system. This will cost about 1,170$. I told him do you guarantee that AC problem will be fixed by cleaning? He said You should do this, if it didn’t work, then we will look at other problems. However my own vendor and second opinion from home warranty both reported the real problem: Freon leak. I didn’t want to pay ~1200$ to them. But if you have extra money you can pay them and then they will agree to do the repair

Charged $850 (cash in advance) to clean the coils on an old AC unit. Told me it would make it last a couple more years. It was worse, and never worked again. Of course, no refund.
