It was crowded today. The facilities are good. Only one washer was out of order, that I saw. The best part is the prices. Only $1.25 per wash load. The dryers are huge. You pay by the quarter, 7 or 8 minutes per quarter. I paid $1.25 for 34 minutes, which was more than enough. FYI, there are two change machines on site, but no ATMs.
No attendant on duty, Water drinking fountain does not work. Cost to wash clothes is cheaper than anywhere else that I have found but that is not an excuse for basic services
It’s the same filthy machines with some inoperable ones I have been using since four years ago. Nothing has changed with this laundromat. The phone number provided hasn’t been answered after numerous tries. The only operable machine for large loads kept eating my coins and still wanted more. It does the job but I wish they would pay someone to at least keep them all clean if they’re not willing to replace them with new ones. Omgee!
It’s really nice actually! Super cheap it’s like 1.25 to wash and 1.00 for 45 min in the dryer I can’t complain my household goods are here yet so I’m happy! As for it being busy it’s not really it’s like 1 and there 3 people here! Plenty of washers and dryers including the gigantic ones!!! For the picky dependas, it is what it is be happy you have somewhere to do laundry at all!
Secured place. Plenty of parking. Good amount of washers and dryer. Quite place with restroom.
Very clean and lots of washers and dryers available. Also lots of space to fold clothes, outlets for phone charging and restroo.s. However, it gets very busy so choose when you go purposely.
Visit here with my niece, washers need more frequent cleaning, lids always dirty in the corners where they attach. I spray and clean them with my personal disinfectant spray bottle and paper towels before each wash.
Easy to miss when youre new in town. Laundromat is part of the Club Pearl Complex, and adjacent to the baseball fields, with a small street between them. The small street has dedicated parking spaces for the laundromat. The far opposite side of the complex has fast food vendors. That end looks like it used to be a hotel. MWR has wifi setup by goWiFi, which requires having an account. The massage chairs from previous review photos are gone. The interior is narrow and humid. There are 2 coin machines that accept up to $10 bills, 1 vending machine with laundry powders, 1 for snacks, and 4 for drinks.
Get your monies worth. However, coin machine only takes $5 bills and $1 bills. Theres 2 coin machines, however once in awhile only 1 is filled with quarters. Best to make change before getting there. Mini Mart doesnt give quarters and dont open till 8am (I think). Lots a mosquitoes so bug repellent is needed. Open 24 hours very convenient.
Gets crowded, but is the cheapest laundromat Ive found on Oahu.
Need to keep a watchful eye on your laundry
Convenient on base laundry, was clean and everything worked.
Change machines never work
Very reasonable prices. The only complaint I have is that I mostly see locals using these machines. I know they are not dependents, because I asked a few. Why the guards allow locals to use a facility that was designed for military members is beyond me.Oh, and like 98% of the island, its not cooled.
Happened today 3/31/2021. My black clothes and batman comforter was in the dryer so i went grabbed food and when i came back it’s gone 😭 thatyall my fave black shirt and batman comforter 😭 please give it back to me 😭😭
Some of the best customer service I’ve ever experienced! One of the machines broke down while my laundry was In it. The gentlemen who were fixing the machine offered to pay for my new wash and dryer.Premier customer service. ♥️
Not the cleanest but comparable to others outside of base. Machines are cheaper and they have a good amount of machines.
It gets the job done. Busy quite often. Grateful for a restroom but womens sink sprays water at you. Paper towel dispenser doesnt work. Back of toilet not on. Some regular maintenance in there would go a long ways. Three of the drink machines either dont work or take your money. It is super hot inside. People hang around the folding tables making it hard to find space to fold. Not enough parking. Could use more seating.
Pretty cheap compared to everywhere else. Quick machines that get what you need done. Just be warned it’s extremely hot in there and there’s also only like...7/8 parking spaces.
Usually decently cleaned but one day there were 3 washers that smelled horrible and had cigars and bit of weed in it.
TLDR: Cheapest place we have found to do laundry by a lot. That said, you get what you pay for so adjust expectations.Machines are old but functional, coin machines work after a few tries, the vending machines are well stocked, and the bathroom works. Small parking area with 8 or so spaces, but plenty of both washers and drivers. A full load takes us about 1.5 hours and costs $1.75 ($1.25 per washer and $0.25 per 20 min for the industrial dryer).Google usage predictions are pretty accurate, so we use it to avoid the crowds while waiting to occupy our house. There is no AC, but there is a constant breeze outside and a shady area to sit on the two benches they have. The bathroom is the most creative part using a wire hanger in both to flush and havent seen a deep cleaning in a long while (good extra duty task).
Old machines, they sorta work. Its hot in there with little airflow.
It serves its purpose
It did its part, needs some TLC. Also, the coin machine was out of order
Plenty of machines, but I have still seen them all taken up many times. Its close to full every weekend and any time a carrier pulls in. Seems to have been an afterthought since its very narrow and can be difficult to walk through when busy. Its always very hot. No A/C and the place seems to never catch a breeze. Its like folding clothes in a dryer vent.
I went here early one morning like 7 am when we first moved here and our washer was not hooked up yet. Plenty of space for my six loads. Large dryers are 25 cents for 9 minutes and can fit more than one load. Worth the price!
Really cheap but usually busy. Not much parking... Between 1 PM and 3 PM is the best time to go on weekdays. 1.25 for regular washer and the big dryers are $.25 for 7 min on high, a normal load for me takes about 25-30 min to dry.
Clean and there are sufficient machines. $1.00 for soap, $1.25 for laundry 6 or 8 min (?) per quarter in the dryer
The place is very inexpensive but since it is part of the lackluster NEX you get what you pay for:-Change Machine’s are broken more then they are operational.- Bathroom is a real dump, looks like a third world country bathroom.- The entire facility is filthy. This place is an embarrassment for our sailors to use.Hey NEX Management, get this place fixed!
Very hot and very cramped. Its like a long line of washers and dryers with some smaller aisles or more washers. $1.25 for regular top load wash, $1 for 45min of regular dryer. Also have larger commercial size washers/dryers. Everything was in working order. Vending machine for detergents. No wifi, very limited seating.
Its the only laundromat on JBPHH. Could use a little upgrading. Some machines are usually inoperable; change machines more often. Also, it gets pretty warm inside.
Very cheap and I always see repair men checking to ensure Machines run properly. You have to go early in the morning to avoid the rush and the ladies doing laundry for the entire Ohana.
Washing clothes. with my wife..💏
Honestly, with this being an NEX facility, I expected a lot more. Its dirty, no air conditioning, and sometimes the machines break down and since there is no attendant on duty, no out of order signs ever get put on the broke down machines. The only reason I use this laundromat is because its the cheapest option I can find thats close to where I live.
Always crowded, youd think the ship sailors would have this to themselves, but locals are using it with truckloads of laundry. If you just PCSd, get a washer & dryer and lift yourself out of the laundromat hell ASAP.
No air conditioner but super cheap. Life safer if you are on TLA.
Affordable!
Everything you need in a laundry mat. Its 24/7 there is a few change machines as well as vending machines. The prices are reasonable as well.
Sometimes the washers are broke. Its pretty small but probably the best on island since there isnt much here. Its 24 hours.
Ive been doing laundry here for 2 1/2 years now and this laundromat is the best place to do laundry. Unlike other laundromats that ive been to, the Pearl Harbor Laundromat is alot cheaper, has all the amenities: vending machines for coins, snacks, drinks, detergent, bleach and dryer sheets. Reclining massage chairs, a drinking fountain, mens bathroom, womens bathroom with a sink in each bathroom. Lots of washers and dryers....... which work very well. Folding tables and trash cans through out the area of the vicinity,. Clean, roomy and is open 24 hrs.The only downside to this laundromat is.....that its located on base and you will need military base access to be permitted on base in order to do laundry here.
Clean and well maintained; 24hrs.
Needs a good deep cleaning with a high pressure water hose and a fresh new coat of paint! Otherwise..... Ottimo!
Clean, great prices, could be bigger . Over all great
It was hot but cheap! Plus had massage chairs for waiting
People need to wear there mask!
Your typical laundromat. You just need to go either really early or late as the washers and dryers can fill up quite fast, and there are those people that leave their laundry in the wash for an extra 30 min.
Its a laundry mat, it has washers and dryers and its uncomfortably hot
Great prices compared to off base facilities! Plus no machines were out of order...I highly recommend!
Cheaper than off-base, but it’s packed regardless what time you go and limmited area to fold clothes.
Open 24/7, has cash to coin exchange for machine use and sells dryer sheets in vending machines
Plenty washers and dryers. $1 to wash $1 for 45 min to dry. Change machines only take $1, $5, $10. Stop at the BX first to buy detergent.
Nasty just nasty and neither quarter machine had quarters
Does the job. Plenty of washers and dryers, two coin changers, and a soap vending machine.
Great price ($1.25) compared to off base with plenty of machines.
Very good indeed!
Both change machines are out of service.
Change machines, snacks, big dryers
Its a laundromat. You have to pay for it, so bring quarters.
Only one dollar to wash clothes
