John is fantastic! I initially thought my 2014 27” iMac was ready for the dumpster. On a whim, I searched for a computer repair shop and found SOHO and called. Within a short time, the computer was delivered to John via contactless handoff on a Saturday. John called with a diagnosis within an hour or less. Failed hard drive. John made the repairs and had the computer back to me within 24 hrs. It runs like new. Highly recommend John!On a related note, I chose not to turn my computer over to the Genius Bar because they messed up my MBP.

After learning what was wrong with my laptop, and with my laptop being fairly new, he informed me that my laptop is still under warranty; offering me the pros and cons between using his repair service (not free, but obviously faster turn-around time) vs the warranty (free, but turned around time could take weeks).Monday was a holiday, so I went to his office on Tuesday for him to confirm what was wrong with my laptop. He informed me what was wrong with it, and that he needed to order parts that needed replacing. Worried, because my child uses my laptop for his schools virtual learning, John advised that I bring my laptop home and hell inform me when the part comes in. I was happy with that advice. I paid for the diagnostic fee, plus the price of the part(s) that needed fixing, and the repair; which in total was very much wallet-friendly!He calls me the following Monday to inform me that the parts he ordered had arrived. I let him know that Ill be bringing my laptop the next day.Tuesday, I went back to his office to drop off my laptop. He informs me that itll take a couple of hours to work on it as soon as he can, and will call me when its ready for pick up.Wednesday, no call.Thursday, I texted him to follow-up, and he said that it was done and had tried calling me the day before. Sweet! I was able to pick up my laptop with no issues, and that was it! I am currently on my now-fixed laptop, typing up this review with gratitude!I am very much happy that I chose to do business with John. Parking was never an issue, transactions in his office never lasted for more than 5 minutes, Johns price is not outrageous, and he was very helpful every step of the way!HUGE MAHALO, JOHN!!! My 2year old Dell Desktop computer hums like a happy bumble bee that just finished eating its honey. Wow, my Dell is running better than when I got it. Word and Firefox were freezing up and the problem was not a corrupted Windows 10 that needed to be replaced, but some sneaky ad blocker. John answers the phone, is to the point, fair and reasonable, and has parking. Thank you John. Ill be back!

As it happens, the owner actually noted that my laptop was under warranty and explained that i could save money by visiting one of that companies providers. He was entirely correct and I thought it was a very honest move. However, if the need ever arises, Im happy to go back to his location.

These guys are awesome!!!! They are VERY friendly!!! They give you the best prices!!! I had a broken screen, they fixed it for half the price that Geek Squad from Best buy would. I also just recently spilled water on my key board and it wasnt working. They had it fixed within a few days for a great price. They treated me extremely well each time! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM FOR ANY COMPUTER REPAIR!!

John is wonderful - professional, super kind, and incredibly fair. I brought in my macbook pro asking him to save a few files on it because my son spilled water on it and it had immediately died. He told me hed be happy to save my files - or my computer. No pressure, two simple options. I had no idea the computer was salvageable. So for less than half the price of a new macbook air, I got my macbook pro back in less than a week. Made my month - highly, highly recommended!

I went to Geek Squad to fix my cracked screen but just for a diagnostic it would cost me $80 + tax. Then I have to pay for shipping since it had to be shipped off island (apparently they dont fix laptop screens on island). Then pay for parts and labor, which was over $200. All of which would take about 4 weeks. I looked around locally and found John at SOHO Computer Repair. He quoted $180 + tax (came out to $188 and change) and he fixed it in under 30 minutes (23 minutes to be exact). He was awesome and even gave me a few pointers for free. I will vouch for him to everyone. GEEK SQUAD IS A COMPLETE RIP OFF!!

I was happy to see SOHO was located close by, making it convenient to stop by one afternoon and discuss the upgrades I wanted for my travel laptop. John was great; he offered to either provide the memory and RAM I wanted or go with what I had selected from Amazon. He quoted me a good price to install what I wanted from Amazon and clone the data onto the new SSD. A week later I was back with the parts and John said give him a couple of days. He called 2 days later reporting success cloning the data and installing a blazing fast Samsung 500GB SSD but the RAM I provided hadnt worked. When I picked up my laptop he said to come back as soon as I got a different RAM stick which I did a week later. John installed the Kingston RAM while I waited (about 5 minutes) and it worked fine. Overall I was very happy with Johns professionalism, his pricing and his flexibility. When I decide to put a SSD in my desktop PC, I want him to do the work.

Excellent service,seriously, I work as a NOAA Fisheries Observer on Longliners so my gear gets bashed around almost as much as I do. I wouldnt think of taking a computer repair anywhere else. My last mishap finished off my 3 year old HP Laptop, but after saying it wasnt cost effective to repair (cracked motherboard)the fellow pulled my hard drive out and put it in a USB connected enclosure so I could use it as plugin memory. They know what they are about. Price was right on that, too.
