I stopped by this store because my sonβs iPhone XR lost its cellular connection. After Christian checked us in, Bob took over and diagnosed the issue, and resolved it by issuing us a brand new certified phone. This whole process was so smooth, it took us 35 minutes for the whole process.Thank you Laura, Christian, and Bob for making the difference for my son! π€π½

I came into the store to purchase the iPhone 13 max pro case and screen protector. I pre ordered all 3 of my iPhone 13 max pros in advance and I wanted to be ready with protection.. I walked into the store and asked if I could see the screen protectors and cases for the iPhone 13 max pro the employees were not very helpful at all it was like they didnβt want anyone like my kind even entering the store, the employee told me that there were not any protectors or cases in stockβ¦ as if he knew I just couldnβt afford a $50 case mind u the employees there donβt get paid that much but tend to look down on uβ¦ I knew this was a lie so I contacted the 1800 number so they could do a product search and of course I found out that everything I wanted was in stock.. Iβm so tired of being judged by the color of my skin.. I am here in Hawaii enjoying my vacation but regardless of how much money you have or where u go thereβs always someone who thinks your just not good enoughβ¦.AND USUALLY THAT PERSON WORKS AT THE APPLE STOREβ¦
Went in to get a screen replaced on my 11 pro max. The technician put a strip next to it and said they couldnβt replace it because of moisture. I brought it to mainland they put the strip up, no moisture reading. They took the cracked screen off and did detailed checking and no moisture. If the tech doesnβt want to do a job then his lazy self should just say that. But how incompetent.
Not sure about all the bad reviews, but my experience was actually better than other apple stores Iβve been to.They let you shop with a limited capacity but still can schedule you a Genius Bar within an hour. My phone was stuck in apple reboot mode for the second time of the year after paying a replacement 5 months ago. Both the tech and the store agent were helpful.They were able to get it fixed though still couldnβt figure out a cause of the boot loop, they offered me the trade in option and it was no brainer to take that cause I have no idea when my phone will fail again.You do need to speak with more ppl if the tech or agent canβt solve your problem at first, but all of them are nice and very helpful.

Iβll take my business somewhere that appreciates it.Iβve never wrote a review before but I had to after tonightβs ridiculous experience.Ala Moana Apple store was packed with a line out the door. I decided to go Waikiki store since I live near by. Upon arriving at 8:20PM I was helped by an employee that actually assisted me in buying me new iPhone 12 just 2 months ago. He told me as well as another costumer that came from Ala Moana that they werenβt taking any more customers for the night and that we would have to schedule an appointment for the following day.Normally Iβd have no issue with this as I literally live less than a mile away. However as you can see in the picture there was literally 2 customers and several employees doing nothing. I asked why I couldnβt come in to view and purchase an IPad Pro. Heβs response was because I didnβt have an appointment.I understand that there are guidelines for covid but to tell a loyal Apple customer that he canβt come in to buy another $1000.00 product while you have multiple employees standing around doing nothing is absolutely ridiculous. The man seen at the door told me he would not further explain to me why I couldnβt come in and said that he considered the conversation petty. I spend thousands of dollars on apple products (Mac book pro, iPhones, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and iPads) ever year to get called petty. The manager Jay was of no help either. You lost another customer Apple.

I just needed to buy some airpod pro tips. It took over two hours even after had made an appointment online. Terrible service and a horrible system in place. The salesmen knew so little youd need a magnifying glass to read their mind. So glad Im switching to the Google pixel next month. Jay was cool tho
Amidst our trip, i decided to buy an iPad air and landed at the store. However since we didnt have an appointment and it was busy they asked us to wait vs schedule an appointment for the next day and we chose the latter.Upon reaching the store at the time of appointment, i think we waited for 2 mins and then got to work with a sales person. Ran through the options that they had in terms of the colors and specs and ended up buying an iPad Air sky blue color (since they didnt have the space gray one). Also bought a folio keyboard along with it and requested the salesperson to verify if it was meant for the device and upon his acknowledgement and confirmation we did the purchase.Upon reaching the hotel we found out that the folio keyboard was not the one that was meant for iPad Air 4th generation, instead was for the prior versions. Another 40 mins walk (back and forth) and an exchange later, we were able to get the right keyboard.Glad we were able to make it happen in Hawaii.

Apples service is typical 5 stars and our recent visit was no different. My wife purchased a selfie stick which the remote battery cover was defective. They staff ended up opening over 15 boxes to find one that was not defective. It appears all of them were defective. Luckily this brand made 2 different colors and sure enough the other color was fine. The exchange was a breeze and we able to resume or vacation with very little downtime.Photos attached showing the store closed and preparing for Hurricane Lane. It was a shame as Lane forced many businesses to close for several days and we got barely a sprinkle or rain.
Store is working by appointment only and I scheduled an appointment for 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 7 and although there were 3 or 4 attendees available, waited for 20 minutes and left without receiving any attention. I understand that the COVID-19 caused a disruption in the service, but at least would be decent to provide support to the customers that have an appointment. Lost a client and I will buy my product online.
There was a super cute asian guy -i saw the same guy few times past year. He was nice too. But now I dont see him anymoreπ I went multiple times but maybe he is gone

This is a great Apple Store! Its super clean and tidy, and all the products are set-up in a way that makes it easy to check them out and try them out. The staff members are friendly and helpful and approach you to see if theres anything they can help you with, which is great. Apple products are fantastic and high-quality, and this store is the same! In the perfect location as well.
Not a good experience at front door. The immature greetings receptionist at the front door was a turn off. The front door area was unorganized and the ignorant acting teen with a clipboard had no clue how to greet and treat people. I blame management for the bad experience. Maybe have a table with a sign to βcheck in here for serviceβ would help organize the sloppy front door reception. I expect better from Apple.
This Apple store is a pretty good one. The products were abundant and immediately, an employee helped me with my purchase. I also had a question with a product that I was using and they helped me to the fullest of their abilities. Really nice store and really nice employees. Please visit the store.

Everyone here was nice, but....it took two visits to fix our issue, wasting much of our vacation time.I think Apple has βseen its dayβ. All my customer experiences, from Waikiki to Dallas, have been cumbersome and unsatisfactory. Staff Being nice doesnβt fix a bad model of βserviceβ or bad software or bad products.So, nice people working for a company that is no longer top of class.Iβm migrating to a windows product (need to research which) at the end of my current current 5 Apple productsβ lives.

My experiences in Apple stores have been uniformly good. Employees are knowledgeable and polite. Im usually greeted at the door and directed to the person who can help me with my problem or question. Any wait times are generally brief.

I have been a very happy Apple customer for about 11 years, and have had nothing but great experiences with this company... until now...I brought in an Apple Watch for repair, I had recently bought a new iPhone and my watch would not pair with it. I was told that it was a hardware problem and that it would need to be sent out for repair. Since my watch was no longer under warranty, and repair costs would have to be paid for by me, and if needed a replacement would cost $229. I asked the sales lady if they would contact me before anything was done/charged and she said yes. About a week later, I received an email saying that my replacement watch was ready for pickup and that it would cost $229. I called customer service, who then transferred me to the store, and told them that I did not want to purchase a βnewβ (refurbished) watch when I could by a brand new watch in a newer series for $50 more. I spoke to the team lead at the store, Robbie, and told him that I did not want the watch they sent me and just wanted my old watch beck instead. I was told that there is no way to get my old watch back and my only option was to buy the watch they sent me. So basically I gave them a watch to fix and have nothing else to show for it, not even my own watch back.Since then I have received multiple emails about picking up my watch from the Apple store, well the βnewβ watch they sent me. I have tried to call 4 times to tell them I will not be buying it and picking it up and have been unable to get through. I get to the automated answer, and then been transferred and it has just rung and rung, I have yet to speak to a real person there.
Just got an apple pencil first generation for my ipad 7th generation. Painting with the procreate app relieves so much anxiety. I love it. Plus you can do easy and awesome animations with it. I was a samsung, android and windows guy but I am mesmerized by the quality of apple products and the quality of the applications and programs in apple devices. Surpasses everything I could have imagined a tech device could pull off. Thanks for making my life that much better.
I had to visit the Genius Bar to have my OS reinstalled. I walked in to find the store super busy, but thanks to Nick, he was able to fit me in within 30 minutes and got everything taken care of for me so quickly and efficiently. He was very knowledgeable and helpful as was every other associate in the store. I highly recommend this store!

We recently attended an Apple Camp to learn about coding and making movies through the Clips app. The staff at Apple Royal Hawaiian are top notch! Excellent customer service and just all around nice and friendly.They provide validation at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center up to an hour.

I came here to purchase iPhone 11pro, just walk in. They are intentionally make people wait in line to show up that iPhone is popular. Only 2 workers are supporting sales one by one and it is taking 10min to sell each person. I am sure they are doing this on purpose. What a shame. [Update] I spent around $2,500 to purchase 2 iPhones and this is the only place making people wait in line about an hr. with that amount spending. This has nothing to do with the popularity of iPhone since they already have stocks on hand. This is due to their poor system or I believe, again, they are doing this on purpose to make people wait in line and showing to the public; iPhone is still popular. Simple suggestion: stack up the iPhone inventory in the middle of the store and start selling the sim-free phones with one extra line for the customers who just want to pick up and pay. This literally takes 1min to sell one iPhone. You will be selling more quantity without having people wait too long which doesnβt make any sense. This explains a lot that Apple is evil that they are wasting peopleβs time and taking advantage of it for their show at each Apple stores wasting precious time for their customers. Shame on you.
What else can you say - I walk in Tuesday AM - get an afternoon appointment - they have to send my computer to CA (from Honolulu) as there is an issue; they say 7 - 10 business days and I get a phone call and an email on SATURDAY saying my computer is ready for pick up . . . Really how good are you guys?!!! Then we pop in on Sunday to pick up and we were asked to wait and the computer would be brought downstairs - and Sebastian noticed (whilst waiting on another customer) that we had been waiting for 8 minutes . . and got our computer there promptly and multi tasked between us and got my computer to me!! Great Job Apple, I know why I have bought your products since 1988 - and this is the first time Ive had an issue, and wow taken care of extremely fast!!!!!!!! Well done guys!!!!
They are really good peoples. I got my XS max from there. Everything is organized.you may be asked to wait if u r there for repair or exchange.
Do not trust their little facade. They all act nice and considerate, but they are lying to you . I went to repair my phone, because it wasnt charging . The guy took it and came back after a minute and said the whole phone has to be replaced . It would cost me $250 but he wouldnt suggest that, he said to buy just the upgrade . I didnt believe him, because it didnt even take a minute to check the phone, so I went to another store where they sell second hand phones . They guy over there told me, they lied to me and all you to do is replace the charging port for $40 . After an hour I got my phone back and it works fine . So moral of the story the apple workers want you to spent as much money as possible, you should not trust everything they are saying . They will take advantage of you .
My iPhone which was 9 months old at the time (a replacement phone bought in June 2017) had malfunctioning GPS. The store ran tests but refused to confirm the GPS worked, I was also told by a rather entitled, snarky and discompassionate manager named Jazz that the phone was vintage... but everything is working fine. After we left the store the GPS still did not work, two weeks later the phone completely died and would not start up at all. Thanks for nothing Apple. Original phone cost $700, replacement was $299, pretty heavy costs for 2.5 years of ownership.
The staff were friendly, however Im still a bit off that they made us replace our phone and charged us for it because our screen was flickering, claim it was water damaged because so microscope said it was... yeah we got splashed by a wave but what was suppose to be a waterproof phone ended up not being one? This was an expensive uncalled for expense but while Im taking responsibility for, im not convinced it was our fault and needed to be replaced.
These folks are always super friendly and helpful. When Iβm in Waikiki, I make it a point to shop here-plus lower sales tax than most other states!
I cannot say enough good things about the Apple Store and its employees at the Royal Hawaiian center. I walked in without an appointment and was immediately introduced to ERIC. It took over two hours to diagnose and correct the problem with my iPad. Eric was patient, professional and zeroed in on the problem and happily was able to correct it. First and foremost, no one greeted us as we walked in. We had walked in with the intention of buying a new MacBook. No one acknowledged our presence, or even looked at us. The staff was rude and atmosphere didnβt seem friendly. No one even asked if we needed help with anything. As we left no one even batted an eye as we walked out the door. If I could give zero stars I totally would.
Pretty much worse apple store iβve ever been. Customer support at genius bar is useless. Staff is unfriendly. Iβd recommend sending them back to customer service school.
Purchased two iPads and a pen. Very helpful staff. Very nice store. Visited twice, the first time the technician noted the new version of the iPad was coming out the next day and she recommended we come back. A small gesture but very appreciated as I had no clue a new model was coming out. She even remembered me when we came back. Also another tech gave us some tourist recommendations for Waikiki Beach and surrounding areas. Overall excellent.

My iphone screen quit responding yesterday morning. I took it into the Apple store around 8:30 last night. By 10pm they had diagnosed the problem and replace my screen. They were so friendly and helpful.
I wanted to compliment Jesse (sp?) at your Kalakaua store in Waikiki. His advise was very helpful regarding a purchase I made. Jesse also solved a perplexing problem I was having with my iPhone and I was most appreciative of that. Apple is fortunate to have him as part of your staff.
We come here every year to buy a replacement iPhone cable since we have to purchase something for the Shop & Dine validation (which btw is a great deal, just do the shop part at a different store).This year I decided to look at the usb-c cables since I have a new iPhone and wanted a longer cable but after seeing the price and not really needing it for a while I decided I might as well get the dj osmo mobile 3 that Ive been debating getting for a while. So I grab it and start to look for someone to help me so that I can pay for it.At first I made a mistake and thought the security was a worker (he was helpful), he guided me to an actual worker (#1) who told me to wait here in the express area (it was anything but express) for a different worker (#2) who was already helping someone else who then after a while of me standing there with my money visibly in hand (actually 2 $100 bills) then hands me off to a different worker (#3). So when the worker (#3) actually helps me and informs me that there is no additional warranty that I could purchase it was easier to say thats okay and walk out of the store and just decide to buy it somewhere else that has better customer service!!
Absolutely atrocious service. Apple just care about getting your money and locking you into their platform. They were rude and told me to take it up with corporate. Samsung for me next time!!
This is usually the best place to go during product launches because most locals dont want to go through the trouble of parking in Waikiki. However, parking is adequate as the store validates for the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center parking lot.

Went in to purchase a phone case for my xr. Was told to wait for someone else to help me out twice when the shop had only a handful of customers. Most of the employees were just standing around chatting and playin with their tablets. Worst service Iβve ever encountered at an apple store.

I had a appointment went early thinking maybe can be seen earlier NOPE we actually got seen about 20 minutes after our time when Joan finally got to help us it was instant damaged phone was collected and traded out it took us 5 minutes with her and then Purchased an iPad Pro and a pen and case the gentleman asked if we wanted someone to help sit it up I said Yes I paid for all my items gentlemen came back with our receipt and said have a good evening. I was like Uuummmmm okay and left bvb the store while driving all the way back home to pearl city my son set up his phone since that wasnt set up in the store as well.
I brought my laptop to get repaired under warranty but they told me it wasnt covered anymore, yet it was still under warranty on the receipt. Then got ignored so I had to fight to get one of them to double check. They then said their system was playing up. They treat you like you have no idea about technology when theyre clueless themselves!

Well I went to this store by calling to the apple care to replace screen for my Iphone 7 plus.when I called out and they have mentioned it would take around 149 when went on to store they have mentioned it will take around 180.Then I was asked to collect the phone at the end of day.so, When I went to pick up the phone.They stick some thing on the screen and mentioned they cant replace the screen and they left me a situation where I should have to buy a new phone since I am pretty sure if they take off the one attacked to the screen.the Screen will break and will be left off with much worst scenario.I had to sacrifice for all my plans to buy a new version of Iphone and then comes the worst part the new iphone which I brought is always acting weird.It always swipes to right Even if I didnt even touch the screen . I usually recommend apple for their wonderful customer care which made me eat my words.

What a great Apple Store! As a Hawaii resident I normally avoid Waikiki, but this store is far less busy than the ones at Ala Moana or Kahala Mall, and I have adopted it because the customer service is SO good. Apple Stores everywhere are the best retail experience ever, but this one is special. I have used it for purchases, Genius bar appointments, and service. They excel at all!

This place is like a United Nation; I went there during RIMPAC (Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) military exercise) and notice that this is a multinational language speaking store.... Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Spanish, they got it all covered! Amazing.
Excellent customer service and support! I walked in with no appointment (which is not necessarily recommended) and they were able to see me at the Genius Bar within ten minutes. My multi touch screen problem on a two day old 6s was taken care of in minutes! Logan was kind and helpful, and upon discovering that Apple isnt replacing screens on the 6s yet... They gave me a brand new phone. I had really high expectations, and was hopeful that the company I stand behind would live up to them... They sure did!!! Even helped sort out my iCloud ignorance. Two thumbs waaayyy up!!!
