I’m sorry but this place is scam .. they’re not hairdresser .. !!! I should know as soon I walk inside.. u can see bunch good reviews but probably they’re from family related .. don’t waste ur $$ !!

Slow service, even with an appointment. Definitely do NOT get a straight shave here. I think they used hair gel instead of shaving cream, and the guy giving me the shave answered his phone halfway through, chatted for several minutes outside, before finally returning to finish. Also he missed several spots and I ended up having to shave all over again. No hot towel, and no shaving cream/foam. I was pretty uncomfortable and disappointed. Cant comment on the haircuts, I just got a straight shave, probably the worst of my life.

I wouldnt really call this a barber shop. More just for haircut. Which was average at best. The reason this place got more than 1 star is Pauls service was great. Friendly guy who takes good care of you, although a bit impatient if you critique the haircut and adjust.His wife Tracy is who bothered me. She stepped other customers in front of me because they were a family and more $$. Also she asked about how much $$ I was going to tip before I even started my haircut. The only thing in her mind is making profit, nothing to do with customer service. She was not only rushing with me, but other customers as well.If youre looking for a quick average at best haircut, I recommend stopping by. I would have liked to have a better experience though from Tracy.

Had Eric cut my hair this morning and he did a great job! Really appreciated how patient he was; he kept checking to make sure it was perfect and got all the little problem spots my hair tends to have taken care of. This is my second cut here, and I have been very pleased with both. 10/10 would recommend!

The young man who cut my hair gave me one of the best haircuts of my life! Not kidding! My boyfriend also got his haircut at the same time and loves it. The place had no wait, was incredibly affordable, and full of friendly, wildly talented hair stylists. This place is a hidden gem full of talented hair professionals that I cannot recommend highly enough.

Best barbershop in Hawaii, but I would also say salon because my wife got her hair layered with Tracy a few times and it was always perfect for a fraction of the price of these “fancy high end salons”. Tracy and her husband are always super friendly, welcoming and treat us like family. Move over Paul Mitchell, make room for the real Paul’s Barber.

Very happy with my haircut from Paul! I got a fade/taper which Paul did really well. His attention to detail was great and he asked me a number of times if certain areas were how I wanted them and happily made an area shorter upon my request. And on top of that, the price of the haircut was beyond reasonable (very inexpensive). I highly recommend Pauls!I went back about a month later for another haircut and was just as happy as I was the first time. :)

Pauls Barber Shop is a world class barber shop and styling salon with amazing service, Paul and his wife Tracy and their associates have endless Aloha and walking distance from Waikiki with tons of on-street parking. Ive been going to them for a long long time. Paul saved us one night decades ago when my sSon Leo cut his hair and it was not good, ran him to Pauls as he was closing and he turned a potential hair disaster into an amazing experience for my sSon Leo since Paul took what he did to his head and turned it into an amazing style we called the Malfoy with short spikes and great styling...we left with Leo thanking Paul and I...and Phew...Paul saved my bananas!!

Going here since 2003. This is the best barbershop I have been in my 50 years. This humble shop helped to put their kid through medical school too. Bonus! Price is right, people are great, and it is in Waikiki. The Hawaii sun shines brightly on your new haircut when you walk out of the shop. Paradise with clippers and scissors. Thanks Paul!

Great shop. Walked in and was taken care of within 20 minutes despite 4 people waiting in front of me. Cash only, but you can get cash at the gas station down the street (5 min walk). Got a great haircut with a great fade. Thanks!

I went here on vacation in April of 2015 I needed a haircut before my flight back home. Their prices are very nice and their services are wonderful. I normally get my haircut done at home. This was actually my first time doing so at a barber so I was quite nervous. I was very pleased with the experience. On my next trip to Honolulu I wont hesitate to stop back in.

Tracy is a local favorite hair stylist here. I can attest to her skills. Ive probably had her cut my hair at least 20 times. Mens haircuts are $12. Only problem is everybody is waiting for Tracy. Paul is just as good, but I go to Tracy because she already knows how I like it.

Paul and one other know how to cut hair. Wait for him or the lady to his far right, any of the other chairs and you are risking it. This hair cut, the lady started with thinning scissors before anything else. The part of my hair cut with clippers was uneven with what seems like whole portions (seems like) uncut. If you cant get the clippers right, you shouldnt be cutting hair. I have a simple, what I thought, impossible to mess up hair cut but today learned that reason. Left looking worse then I came in and going to just clipper it all off myself tomorrow
