I was supposed to get my hair done by Candice, she called me at 10 in the morning asking if I could come in before my original appointment which was at 3 because another client was a no show I told her I only had one car and my husband was using it but my husband pulled strings to make something work because he knew how bad I wanted my hair done being 9 months pregnant. Then I received another call and she says I can come in at my original appointment time after I had already left my house. I drove from Schofield to Honolulu and had to figure out what to do for the rest of the day since she changed my appointment AGAIN. I was running errands and she says can I come in at 4 instead of 3 because she’s running behind which I did. I come in at 4 and she is still not done and canceled my appointment even though I was the one who showed up on time. She told me that she would honor the same price of 130-150 because it was a mistake she made and would send me her schedule so I could rebook. I walked out crying because I’m 9 months pregnant and I had to drive all the way back home in traffic. She finally sends me her schedule and the price is different so I asked her if she would honor the same price and she left me on read. I asked her again a couple days later and she left me on read AGAIN. She is very unprofessional and not understanding at all. I’m very disappointed with this service.

We were recommended to come here and it was the beatest ever! After trying many places to get my babys hair done the right way, we finally found the perfect stylist! Julie was so amazing from her skills to advice. Then we met Trina, she was friendly. After talking a bit, she noticed I needed my eyebrows done. Its been a challenge getting my eyebrows done everywhere because they just dont make personal contact with their clientele. Trina knew exactly what to do and how it should be done. A perfect impromptu girls day spent with my mini me. I cant be more satisfied and happy on our results!I definitely will be a forever customer!

This is an upbeat shop and conveniently located at the stadium mall.Trina is a consummate professional and her attention to detail is remarkable! She makes you feel comfortable and relaxed when receiving her services. I think my husband fell asleep at one point. I went to an older Asian woman with a short haircut. She tried to play naive card but to me shes been there too long to not know better. I would name drop but I dont remember her name. She cut me off as I was explaining to her what I wanted like she knew what I was talking about. I told her I wanted a low tape and cut around the ear basic military haircut. She cut the whole side of my face and all the way up to the base of my skull no taper. I have curly hair and she cut of the top without picking it out Never again....

Julie was amazing. It was a very long procedure to get what I wanted, specifically balayage with minimum roots touch up plus a hair cut. Julie not only exceeded my expectations, she was very professional, thorough and took her time to make sure that my hair looks simply gorgeous. I was thinking about booking an appointment with Candice, however after the way she has handled herself the past week i would tell anyone reading this review to RUN & TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. She was being recommended to me by my sister…however she has been EXTREMELY unprofessional, rude, and is inconsiderate of customer’s time. Candice rebooked my sister’s appointment 2 times, had her replan her day to accommodate Candice, then had her drive across the island for Candice to cancel her appointment seconds before her appointment time. Her excuse was “she didn’t have enough time to do the hairstyle she wanted.” Keep in mind this was not the fault of the customer being late but the fault of Candice. Candice rescheduled the appointment twice the day of…to then cancel the appointment all together without any notice until walking into the salon. Also, something else to keep in mind is my sister is 9 months pregnant!!! One thing is for all of this to happen and then another thing is for this to happen and be 9 months pregnant. Completely selfish and inconsiderate all on itself.It is just confusing because as a hairstylist..you would think you would not lack the skill of time management and schedule your appointments to have plenty of time to satisfy the needs and wants of your customers especially the ones who are understanding. OR at least..reschedule the appointment from the beginning if you were doubting your capabilities of providing a service. Instead, you wasted your customers entire day, refuse to respond to any messages of her simply asking your schedule to rebook, and THEN not honoring the original price you told her the service would be.

Ive been Tiffanys client for 14 years now. I am always very satisfied with how she styles my hair. Very detailed and really does a good job of making sure my hairstyle matches me. Book your appointment in advance as she has many clients that followed her over the years.

Was thinking about coming to this salon but after reading some concerning reviews and the condescending response the salon gave to a customer I’ve decided to take my business else where. No where was there a solution or apology for how the hair stylist handled the situation. What a POOR excuse for the salon to give…”they didn’t know there was a customer 9 months pregnant which is why you didn’t provide services?” Yet the customer had walked in and the stylist never mentioned that her being pregnant was an issue and the reason for not getting services that day. My wife is also currently pregnant and I refuse to give my business to a salon that mistreats customers, especially those who are pregnant. I will make sure my friends and family know of this mistreatment and give their services to a salon who deserves it. It’s sad that I have to give this establishment even 1 star in order for me to give a review.

I am always nervous moving to a new place and having to find a good barber. You know the one that listens and creates an image based on your desires and doesn’t require you to go home and touch it up (aka fix their mistakes). Well, I found that barber here! Although I don’t think they should charge $5 more making an appointment vs. if I just walked in.

I came to tiffany’s beauty salon couple times now and they’ve always outdone themselves. I’ve gotten the japanese straight hair perm twice and i’ve always gotten great results. Their facials gave me major results leaving my skin literally glowing and i only get my eyebrows waxed there because she always shapes my brows perfectly. Overall they have so much to offer and i never leave disappointed.

Today was a better visit. We are an appointment and this time with Nam who cut my son’s hair the first time he and my husband got haircuts. I probably should mentioned what happened last time with feeling like I was overcharged and made to wait longer after they had asked to push back our original appointment. Better service today.

I visited here once or twice. Prices are good for the cuts. Although they have a steady stream of customers coming in and out of the chairs, there hasnt ever been much of a wait. Once you find a barber you like particularly you can start to schedule ahead with him to get right in and out. All around good experience. Low cost professional cuts and good service. I first was charged $30, then $38, next time $40 and last time $45.Usually my appointments were during the day. The whole salon was very good at keeping the Covid protocol except the last time I was there. It was in the evening. My mask kept on coming off as Tiffany was styling my hair like she didn’t care if my mask stayed on, like before. Her husband and the older lady hairstylist were having a disagreement and took off their masks. I think they were all tired. I didn’t feel safe.I observed that they are hard working people and others should try them but because of the price hiking and covid, I haven’t gone back.

Tiffany is so focused on what type of hair cut or hair color that you request. Not to mention, eye brows or waxing is another specialty that she share with her other staff Trini. There is so many parking if her two stalls are taken.

I called as ask if they do walk ins and they did! Place is pretty nice and great lighting, good covid protocol. The older Vietnamese lady took me in. Comfy chairs, not super hot (as some barbershops can be) good jams. Felt good. I told the lady I usually do a one on the sides faded, but was growing out the top. And to clean me up a little. She started the cut and faced me away from the mirror. They have these nifty clippers with a vacuum attached, that makes for a super comfortable haircut. Awesome. But. She used those clippers the whole time. Little confused, but figure shes a pro and knew what she was doing. Im near sighted and I can see but couldnt see fine enough detail in the mirror across to make out length or anything. When she handed me the mirror at the end, I was shocked she had chopped a good 3 inches off the top. I couldnt see how much was being cut because of those same nifty clippers! Ugh. This wouldnt be a big deal, but my hair grows pretty slow and this was my first haircut in months (expensive for me, cash only btw). Disappointed in my experience there. Everything is really nice, and for the pricing I was expecting a really nice cut. I believe this to be a miscommunication as it seems they have a loyal following. But just really disappointed that she would cut off that much hair, with clippers no less, without much conversation.My advice would be to call ahead and make an appointment. If looking for a modern cut get someone else to. The job she did was good for what it is. But is more traditional looking. If you do happen to get her. Bring a picture up. Dont expect an awesome fade.

It’s a great looking shop with good people, but I just got a simple 10 minute line up around my edges and it was $25! I get a full haircut for that with my stylist. That’s ridiculous, I’d rather go to NEX n get go around $10.

There is a barber in here covered in tats. For the love of God, please dont go to him. I was cut by him this past weekend as a walk in and regretted my decision the whole time I was in the chair.He cuts as if he is in a rush, isnt soft to the touch at all and was very unprofessional. Ive never had a barber complete a cut and point to the mirror for me to see how it came out. On top of that, didnt offer to clean it up with alcohol at the end. Oh that leaves me at the point of maybe it was because he skinned my hairline. YES! My hairline was burning so much because of how hard and often he want over it. And then I still had to pay full price.To my guys in the military like myself... This aint the shop you want for a clean, professional cut. Run your risk at the NEX or on base at the expense of this. Wow....

Do not let the Asian lady with the big hair and heavy makeup cut your hair! she will ask you how you want your haircut, tell you that it wont look good the way you want it cut, then proceed to cut your hair the way she wants to. and when youre not happy she will tell you to make it easy for her next time. all the guys there are pretty good and the other Asian lady isnt bad.

I called ahead they told me they werent busy and to swing by. I am weird about my barber, I waited maybe 5 to 10 minutes, bring cash!! There is an atm but it has a 3.50 charge. They lined me up and cleaned me up with a straight razor. Super friendly! If your not a tool and know how to communicate with people than this is an amazing spot. CALL AHEAD!!!

Im from the East Coast and am the type of guy that is very particular about his cut. I went to Michaels Barber Shop not knowing what to expect since the most recent reviews were negative.I show up and there are 3 other guys getting haircuts and all of theirs look pristine. There were two male barbers and two female. All of them will give you an excellent cut. The younger asian woman was the one I had. I can only speak from personal experience on her and she was great. Pick any of them and Im positive you will not be disappointed.

Been coming here for over 2 years. Been looking for a real barbershop for years. I finally found one. This is no exaggeration. I dont live in the same town where they are located. I drive all the way here because they put pride in their work. I have gotten haircuts by 5 of their barbers and I have never been unsatisfied by their work. As long as I live in Oahu, this is my barbershop.

Felt unwelcomed and discouraged. Walked-in and told to come back the next day. Once arrived, asked if I had an appointment...discouraged, but gave it a chance. Only do transactions in cash, which seems shady. Only good at lining. One of the employees complained about a previous customer who was a mom, I was the only mom in the shop...unwelcomed. Theyre one dimensional and arent good at white peoples hair. Theyre trying to be like Ice Cubes Barber or something...

Googled Black Barber Aiea and decided to try Michaels.I wear a tempfade fro and Master-Barber (IMHO) Kona cut it so right and tight I gotta go to the Cowboys game this Saturday. I also noticed an Elder Females work on an ADSM and she hooked the bald fade up like she should teach it for a living; real-talk, she got you good for muster and still fresh off-duty. I experienced Aloha in this shop because of the of the quick friendly professional service on a Wednesday evening around 18:10. Mahalo for reading.

Called and set up for appointment in the morning they said to call back around 3:30 to check for confirmation i called the time they told me and they said ok just come in 5:30 we came there 5:30 and they were all busy we waited coz i know and for sure that we have an appointment and take more than 2 hours my son call that till 7pm they never cut his hair still what a terrible and unprofessional they should told us that they cannot handle it and dont confirm the appointmenr if u guys cannot do it!!!!the guy that i spoke on the phone i believe his the owner or not sure with it you should stand up your word if u said your set then keep your word BE A MAN....

We checked in at 6:12pm to have my two sons get a haircut. We were not greeted by anyone, we waited for about 15 minutes and my husband asked the gentlemen working how much longer and he mentioned 20-30 min. In the meantime, 2 men walked in and they were both very late to their appointments. She decides to accommodate them and we waited very patiently. At the same time a young man walked in and begged to cut his hair because school starts tomorrow, she rudely says, just sit down and wait. As our 20-30 minute wait became an hour wait at 7:25pm. She finally takes my son, he explains what type of cut he wanted and showed her a picture. She disrespectfully informs my son that his hair is too long and she cant cut his hair. I was very upset and informed how she could treat her customers that way after waiting for an hour. She continued to show no empathy for her actions. How does anyone in business treat their customers in such a way. NEVER will our friends and family come to your establishment. Experience is marketing for your business. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE.

During the weekend, barbers are excellent, but free up your schedule. Call ahead, make an appointment, show up a little early and be ready to stay late.

Asked for a trim, not too short, and a 3 on the side. Instead I got a no-guard fade. If youre looking for a barber who knows how to use a pair of scissors, or who will actually listen to your request, then keep looking.

Horrible service for mediocrity! My husband came previously and the master barber didnt do so great with what my husband specified he wanted. This time they didnt even acknowledge him when he walked in. Waited for over an hour. The master barbers are too concerned with their personal conversations and laughs to take on patrons! Bad for business!

Poor service, I came in and no one said a word to me. They were all booked up with appointments. None of the barbers said anything, every time I think I was next someone with an appointment showed up. Over an hour wait for a mediocre haircut.
