I was lied to and robbed by the manicurist. I asked her if having an acrylic toe nail put on was a posibility. She said yes that it was possible. I made it clear that I was only coming in for the specific reason to have a damaged toenail covered with acrylic, and that if it could not be done, that I was not interested in her services. She was quick to inform me that she could do it. When she finished with the pedicure, she took the time to tell me that she would not recommend putting on the acrylic nail at this time, but to return in a month to have the condition of the toenail assessed and put it on. In my opinion this pedicurist is a lier! Dont go there!!!!

This was a wonderful acrylic fill in. Go see Sandy. I dont know if this is normal, but southern salons dont typically give you a hot towel for your hands. This was great! I am very particular about my nails, and this was awesome.

Waste of $25.00 for mani & pedi - Sorry for the long reviewDefinitely would not recommend this place if you are looking to have a long lasting manicure & pedicure. I saw the reviews online (not so good), and still wanted to give it a shot, thinking everyone has different experiences.A mani and pedi is supposed to be something relaxing. However, as the lady set up the pedicure water-basin, another lady came and told me that they will do both- the mani and pedicure at the same time while I get my pedicure; it was extremely distracting. One lady was standing and doing my fingernails while another was working on my toenails. It felt extremely rushed as if they just wanted to be over with it. For the pedicure, they did not even try to exfoliate.Fast forward, the lady kept applying layers and layers of nail polish before it even dried (at other nail salons they ask you to put your nails right by the mini fan). Then they sat me at the nail drying station and one cycle did not do anything. My nail polish got messed up because there were layers of it applied before it was even dried off (although I went through 2 drying cycles). So I leave the salon, and 20 mins into, I have chips and scratches...1 day has passed now, and I slept over it, I have imprints of my hair embedded in my nail polish (because it did not dry properly and harden).Bad Experience, def. would NOT recommend! I guess the ratings did live up to it.

EDIT: I had been going to this spot for the last year or so for the happy hour (which was $25 for a manipedi mon - thurs). I walked in today for the deal and at the end of my manipedi I was told that happy hour no longer exists and its now $37. Dont understand why they wouldnt say that when I walked in but overall disappointing that this still the same fast manipedi but for 50% more. Its no longer worth coming here during lunch instead of going to a normal salon near my apartment in NYC.ORIGINAL: Never really write reviews but figured I would since I had a different experience. Went for the “happy hour” $25 mani pedi deal. My coworker and I walked got mani pedis after we told them we had to leave in 50 minutes. We were looking for fast, good mani pedis and they delivered. The only cons (why minus 1 star) is that they don’t have many non-gel colors to choose from. I also would’ve liked the pedicure tub to be lined - felt a little weird not having the lining in it. If you’re looking for a relaxing mani pedi, the lunch happy hour deal probably isn’t for you but if you’re looking to get a great deal then I would definitely go here

I asked for a specific design and was told it could be done. Turns out, that was a lie. So i had no choice but to change my design to something i didn’t want, and more charges were piled on. I charged twice as much for a nail job that i could’ve done myself. It is mediocre and sloppy. I do not appreciate how i was spoken to as a paying customer. You can’t charge what you don’t have the skills to do! 🤬🤬🤬🤬

I WENT TO THIS SALON ON 11-23-2020, AND THEY CHARGED ME 120 FOR A REFILL AND A PEDICURE. I WAS TOLD THAT THE PEDICURE WAS 27 AND NAILS 50 . JUST A RIP OFF... THEY RUINED THE SHAPE OF MY NAILS. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. THEY PRICE GOUGE AND THEY STILL COULDNT DO A GOOD JOB.

I decided to take a healthier approach to beauty enchantment. Covid made me realize how harmful a lot of things I did to my nails really is . Hoboken spa doesnt agree with me. If you arent getting harmful treatments and all those toxic chemicals and regiments they are of no use to you. Ladies please be careful of business that dont have your best interest at heart. Its a shame we live in a society where your dollar is worth more then your well being.

I had the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at a nail salon when visiting Hoboken nails last weekend. I had to change my appointment from Saturday to Sunday and boy was that a mistake. I had an appointment for an acrylic fill and I should have left when the person doing my nails told me she wouldn’t do acrylic and would only do a gel fill. I decided to stay and let her do the fill and once the gel was set I realized the job she had done was awful. There was at least a half an inch between my cuticles and where she applied the gel and when I said something to her about it, she tried to tell me that’s how it’s done. Although I prefer acrylic fills, I’ve had a gel fill before and knew without a doubt that was not how it’s done. When I pressed her on this and asked her to fix them, she literally YELLED at me. Who does this to a customer??? She never apologized nor did she offer me any type of discount after acting in this manner. She was clearly having a bad day because she looked miserable and was very nasty to the other employees at the salon but it really is no excuse for treating a customer this way. My prior experience at the salon was great and I really hoped I had found my new nail spot but I will NEVER return to a salon where an employee would treat a customer in this way and not even apologize. Do yourselves a favor and look elsewhere for a nail salon unless you enjoy paying to be verbally abused.

After asking about the price of a dip powder manicure ($45!!!) I was rushed to sit while trying to ask questions. I woman assured me it lasts a long time ( I have gotten gel previously and they barely lasted a week). So I was hoping this meant a solid two weeks at least? Less than a week later they were cracked and chipped off. Only giving stars to the young lady who really did take her time to make it look nice. Maybe just the product?

I always have a good experience here. They do your nails very well and they are fast. Most of all I like that they have good hours and our open late. I usually get the Shellac here and I also like that you can add on things such as Parafin for a fairly inexpensive amount. I will say they have a lot of options on their menu, I have tried the spa pedicure, paraffin treatment, manicure, and shellac. All very good.

I went to this salon for the first time with my roommate we were both getting facials and decided to get our nails done while the other was getting a facial.I typically get dip powder and knowing I pre removed my polish to make the process easier. The nail technician used the motorized nail file to remove the polish which was unnecessary and started to burn and thin my nails down. I told the women that it hurt and if we can use polish remover instead. The women got extremely ride and told me she is the professional and not myself and that I need to not speak and l listen. I was shocked in silence. She then paused her rant and then said excuse me are you listening?!Besides the rude service, they used an acrylic to coat on the dip powder and waited 10 min to dry. If you get dip powder you know thats not the top coat to be used and should require 0 drying time.3 days later my nails began to chip and break (as well as my roommate who got gel).5 days later I had to go in to re do my chipped nails at nail atelier. Nail Altelier had amazing service and quality!Id recommend not going to this salon instead Nail Altelier.-Diane

Worst nail experience of my life! I had to stop in Hoboken and needed to get my nails done that day so I chose this place. My nails are healthy and naturally long. I had gel powder on when I went in. They do not do gel powder which is not a big deal I said I would be fine with a regular UV gel but the lady (Nicole) could not understand what I was saying. After trying to explain to her for 15 minutes what I wanted she still didnt get it. The manager came over and tried to tell her what to do and she still didnt understand. I was frustrated at this point and wanted to leave but the lady wouldnt let me! She then left my old gel powder on and glued down the sides that were starting to lift up..........then she put UV gel on top!! They literally started to peal off 2 days later and on top of that my nails are ruined from the glue! I would have gone back to complain but I do not live close and didnt want to waste my time.

I was in today for a gel manicure and somehow my nails are peeling and feel oily underneath. I had to have the nail tech actually redo my nails while I was there bc they looked like I did the 100 coat challenge and my nails were super thick from polish. She kept telling me they were ok and finally untold her they werent and asked for her to redo them. Went out came home and took a shower and they are peeling g as I dried off.. Worse paint job Ive ever had.

Bad experience and expensive. I got the powder nail procedure. Usually where u go in Jersey city they last, they are strong, and don’t crack for a month! It has been 2 days and all of my nails have cracked! And I take good care of my nails! Definitely going back and asking them for a free service or credit I paid $60 for this bs. Not satisfied with their powder procedure. It’s weak!

Terrible experience. They were trying to force me to tip all three people that serviced my sister and I. I tipped two of them because the third lady was not around to be seen. As we left, the lady demanded my sister to tip and she said she doesn’t have cash since I paid for her. She then pointed me out in front of everyone saying I have cash. I got the worst acrylic gel fill ever that peeled a day later.

The service I received here from the manager yesterday evening was disgusting. I entered the salon, sat down and told one of the ladies that I would like my gel nails filed down (not re-filled just filed) and for it to be painted with gel polish. Without even explaining to me she said no we cant do that despite the fact that I had it done the week before from another nail bar. I am from England so I have an accent, I dont know if she understood what i wanted but she didnt even give me a chance to explain before basically ordering me out for no reason. This was the Manager!! If she treats all her customers like that then I am so glad i did not spend any money here. I am just absolutely disgusted at the attitude she gave. She needs to go on a how to talk to customers course . It a shame because I heard that this was a professional salon, ill be telling my friends from here and abroad not to go here unless you wanted to be treated badly.
