I called, was promptly advised that he could not help my issue and gave me a good recommendation. Anyone that knows their sphere of knowledge and is honest about it is a 5-Star contractor in my opinion.

We have used New England A/C for over 10 years now. I felt compelled to post this review now because I called at 7:30 am in the middle of the summer as our air conditioner was leaking. They were at our apartment within an hour and had us sorted out within another hour. I have never found them to be anything other than prompt, courteous, and efficient. I could not recommend them more highly.

Bob of New England Air Conditioning does not mince words, so dont expect a charming salesperson. Instead you get an air conditioning genius who is honest, charges fair prices and does exceptional work.I wasted a lot of time running unnecessary and expensive tests with another company. They misdiagnosed the problem and wanted to rip up walls and replace pipes without even running a test of the lines to ensure the leak was indeed in the lines. We finally realized that I needed a new AC unit. They quoted me a high figure. I called around for estimates and spoke to Bob.Bob came in $3000 below the other company. He came over, took one look at the air conditioner and showed me where the problems were. No need to run expensive tests. The problems were obvious to a true professional.He showed up on time and does excellent work at a fair price.I called him recently about a problem. I thought I needed a new thermostat. Nope! Bob didnt charge me for even a service call. Over the phone he figured out that I had accidentally turned the emergency switch off for the HVAC system. No charge.I cannot recommend him highly enough for air conditioning installation and repairs.

Multiyear good experience with New England HVAC (NE-HVAC).Bob Luland (owner of NE HVAC) just saved our bacon again! Our building (Union Club Condos) has very old heat pump systems in each unit. Our system conked out yesterday; I called Bob and he showed up first thing this morning (early). He quickly diagnosed (bad transformer) and repaired the system. Reasonable, fair price. Three years ago he replaced our compressor on the roof. Bob knows his stuff and will tell you like it is; he’s very direct and does not sugar coat the reality of your situation.

Bob came out on short notice to address a heating issue we were having with our crown boiler. He addressed the issue and got us heat back in the house quickly. I highly recommend his work. We also used him a few years back to replace our old A/C unit on our roof. He is very knowledgeable and highly skilled.

I hired Bob to replace my HVAC unit. He was excellent all across the board after shopping around for a couple days around the Hoboken area. A potential issue popped up and I contacted Bob to have him look into it, and he was out there in less than a day. While the issue turned out to be user error Bob was happy to support me and absolutely refused payment. When looking for people to work with I look for punctual, quality work with trusting partners, and I got that from Bob and his team. Highly recommended.

New England HVAC has been incredibly helpful for us this year as we had trouble with both our heat and AC! For the heating issue in the winter they were extremely professional, honest and timely and knew exactly what the problem was and how to fix it quickly.For our AC issue, of course it happens on a day when it is going to be 99 degrees. The gentleman could tell I was distressed as I will have pets in the home on this hot day and actually asked me a few questions to resolve my problem over the phone. They are extremely kind and helpful! We will continue to use them for our HVAC needs!

I was in a panic before the holiday weekend. I was having a graduation party on Saturday whenThursday the a/c conked out. I called another company, much to my dismay, who informed us thecompressor was shot and needed replacement. The compressor isn’t even five years old and I foundthat to be odd. The guy told me there was no doubt it was the compressor and spent about 10 minuteslooking things over. I was not up for a huge bill thinking it wasn’t necessary and asked around to othercondo owners in my building. Bob was recommended by two of them so I called late Thursday night andexplained what the other guy told me. He said something didn’t sound right and he’d get over in the morningfirst thing at 7:30 a.m. Well Bob said the compressor was fine and it was the capacitorthat was bad and the other guy should have known that immediately. But the other guy didn’t have thetools/equipment to even check it. So for 1/10 th of the price New England got my air up and runningwithin ½ hour and it has been working great ever since. He sure saved me a bundle because he knew hisstuff. I would highly recommend New England A/C if you want it done right the first time.

Theyre the best. We had them come out to my place because the A/C wasnt working. I had checked the breaker myself, and the thermostat, and looked around at the unit, and it seemed fine.The guy from New England immediately noticed that the emergency shut off switch had been flipped, which we didnt realize because our house cleaner did it the day before.He refused to accept any money for the job even though we offered to pay.A few months prior we had called them to handle a drip from our unit. I have done business with this company on and off since the early 90s. Ive used them to service my home heat and A/C system as well as maintain commercial HVAC systems for various companies where I worked in NJ and Manhattan. Ive never been disappointed with the service. They have always gotten me honest no-nonsense estimates and timely installs/repairs. To this day, even though I now live in Virginia, I still call Bob for advice for my home and business HVAC needs. I see some older reviews here complaining that Bob is gruff. He can be, but hes honest and does fantastic work. I would recommend New England highly.

This company is clearly an expert in the field, so if you want to have an expert work on your problem, go with them.We had an unusual problem - a gas leak in the manifold of our furnace. They provided a custom fix overnight and solved the leak. Amazing work I wouldnt have found elsewhere. I will go to them with future HVAC issues.

I was having issues with my HVAC (it was sporadically working) and a technician was sent out. Have to say the tech was really good and stayed to make sure it was fixed before he left. Explained everything and seemed very knowledgeable. I was having issues a little while later and called the place back. I wasnt sure if I spoke to the owner or someone else, but he couldnt have been more rude. Made me feel stupid for adjusting the temperature and when I explained the issue his answer was so?

It is hard to find good customer service these days, but this company consistently provides reliable and quality service. No matter when weve had a problem, the response is always fast and courteous. We used this company to install our Trane air conditioner and to service our heater for years. Anytime weve had a problem, Bob has come through for us. He just saved me again. Our heater was not working on this cold late afternoon before leaving for Thanksgiving travel. The last thing I needed to deal with was a heater repair. I called Bob and he walked me through some trouble shooting over the phone before coming. Together we figured out the problem-no service call required. It doesnt get any better than that with regards to customer service. This is a company that takes pride in their work and values their customers.

If you have to change you HVAC in hoboken or JC, this is the place. Bob has done 3 units in my building and all have turned out great, There are not to many options when it comes to hvacs for smaller apartments. Bobs work is reasonable priced and much better quality than the other hvac changes i have seen done. Bob was the only one to provide a quality product.

Been using New England HV A/C for over 15 years for myself and apartment building. Always shows up at the time they say. They have never tried to upsell anything. If a small part needs to be replaced that is what they replace. They don’t say you need a new control board or any major component if you only need a fuse, wire, ignitor or flame sensor. I have also used them for a replacement of a furnace central air system. They were able to make a custom ductwork connection, in order to fit the new system to the existing ductwork.

Called N.E. At 8:00am on a Saturday bc my central heat was blowing cold air. Bob was at my house by 9:30am and had the heat working by 10:00am. He had the parts on his truck that were needed to fix the unit and explained to me exactly what was causing the problem. If you are in Hoboken/JC, I wouldn’t choose anyone else.

I have been having issues with my AC and I had two companies come out and they were unable to solve the problem. I called New England and they came out the same day and I have not had any issues since.

Do NOT even consider New England A/C Corp as a service provider. Make one phone call and speak with Bob Luland (owner) and you will know what I mean. I called to speak with him about an issue I had with my repair and to say that he SCREAMED at me is an understatement. I was not able to get a word in edgewise so I sent him an email about my concerns along with pictures – he responded and continued to be disrespectful and make derogatory comments to me (he even happily admitted to yelling at me in his response email).We should have known from the first phone call to schedule an appointment that this organization would be unprofessional and that our interaction would ultimately result in an issue such as this. Bob was short, condescending and rude from the start. As you will see in many other recent reviews this seems to be a trend for this organization.

Called to get some information on getting air conditioner fixed. Extremely rude! No customer service. Stay away! Always a bad sign when you are offering to pay someone for a service and they act so rude!

AVOID this guy! He was beyond rude at first call and had zero customer service. After he made a few smart comments I eventually told him that I rather not do business with him...be aware. He mentioned that hes so busy, maybe if he wasnt then the customer service would have been better.

Alex wanted something for free. If I provided things for free I could not afford to be in Hoboken. I get this request constantly, can you get in your vehicle and come to my home, take apart my unit and give me a free estimate. That is not the way it works. What bothers me the most is the majority of the people that make this request are College educated.
