I am so appreciative of Jimmy that I decided to write this review shortly after he left. We were without A/C and with the expected 90 degree temperatures this weekend we were dreading being without it. Jimmy first stopped by two days ago, the day after I first reached out, when other HVAC companies were telling me they couldnt get here till until after Memorial Day! When he arrived, he told me what he thought the issue was, gave me options for how to fix it, reviewed the costs, and explained it would be at least a few days until the parts were available given the option we chose. The parts arrived today and like other HVAC people in May his schedule was jammed. However, he called me mid-afternoon and said he could swing by later in the afternoon. Sure enough, Jimmy swung by well after a typical work day at the end of a long week, fixed the issue, our A/C is up and running, and what really stood out to me was when he told me he couldnt possibly have let us go through the hot weekend without cold air. Just showed me his compassion and that he is a good person. Thanks Jimmy and for anyone looking for someone to repair their A/C I highly recommend!

What an average person look for from any serviceman is professionalism, technical acumen and sincerity - Jimmy was that person who I got to know recently when my furnace stopped working. He suggested replacing the inducer motor and we did, however it stopped working again with no apparent reasons he could find and known...and to make a long story short, he followed through every time and came back without demanding anything else. What I appreciated the most is he was also punctual, kept his words and stood by his work - that is professionalism and what I am looking for...last but least whatever Jimmy did, it is working now...even if it stop working again I know he will come back and will do his best to check on the problems whatever that might be, thx Jimmy!

Tenant called at 8 am that the heat stopped working. Called Jimmy, he made an appointment at 11 showed up and repaired the unit. Great service, really easy to talk to you.

Jimmy responded right away and squeezed us in the same day when our heater went on the fritz. He was very professional, solved the problem quickly and replace the part. I would highly recommend him, especially for anyone in Hoboken, as he is based here - can’t go wrong. (He also helped us 7 years ago to fix our fridge during a snowstorm!)

Jimmy was great. Extremely efficient and responsive. I was prepared for a few day wait for someone to show up since it was the hottest day of the year (at the time). Jimmy showed up in less than 3 hours from our first conversation. We had air conditioning back in less than an hour after his arrival.Highly recommend.

I first called Jimmy last week, very early in the morning about my very hot house after my HVAC seemed to quit. He said he would be over in a few hours and arrived promptly. Within a few minutes, he diagnosed the problem but informed me that the fix was likely to take weeks as parts were missing and very hard to get due to covid backlogs. He called an hour later and told me he had located the part I needed but that it would take a few weeks to get in. On the verge of tears while thinking of my terrible hot flashes, I asked if there was anything he could do to expedite it. He called back an hour later and told me he arranged for the part to arrive in a week. Dying of the heat only 3d later, he called telling me that my part arrived early and he would be at my house 1 hr later. He and his team brilliantly fixed the HVAC, while being very thoughtful about their face masks and very careful to not make a mess, Jimmy had fixed my AC days before he promised. I recommend him to everyone who needs help with their HVAC! He and his team were wonderful.

Jimmy has fixed my heating and air conditioning units multiple times over the years - and always in the middle of a heat wave or cold snap. Every time he agrees to come check things out quickly and shows up when he says he will. He is thorough and fair - I never feel like he is trying to sell me on something I do not need. My HVAC recently needed repair. Called Jimmys Arctic Air and Jimmy was able to come out next day. Showed up on time and was professional. Mask was always on and wore shoe covers when entering the apartment.The issue turned out to be a bad capacitor on the compressor unit on the roof. He had a replacement part on his truck. Swapped it out and now A/C is working fine. In and out in about an hour.

Several months ago they replaced a defrost heater in my fridge and charged a lot $$$ to install. A month later it stopped working. I then bought my own defrost heater and relaced it myself - its been fine ever since. I suspect they installed a used part to save themselves a little money. Thy are the worst.

Jimmy and his team came and assessed a leak in my Air Conditioning unit that was causing water damage to my ceilings. Jimmys team quickly fixed the problem and didnt overcharge for his work. 3 weeks later, the AC is still working perfectly!

Jimmy’s Arctic Air installed a complete new HVAC system when we purchased our house in Nutley, and he was absolutely amazing in showing up on time, responding to my calls and inquires and installing the unit/ going over everything with us. Also used his services for my heating unit in the winter. Highly recommend and will continue use his services.

Our freezer has had a leak for over a month and we had an appointment with Jimmy about 3 weeks ago and he had to cancel since he was backed up and he never rescheduled. After repeated calls and emails, I finally got a rescheduled appointment with Jimmys today given a window of 9-11am. They have still yet to show as of 530pm, never mind call me. I called three times since 11am and left a voicemail, no call back. I have already scheduled an appointment with another company for Monday, which I should have done weeks ago but I was giving Jimmys a chance as they were referred. I wish I could give zero stars, what a waste of my time.

If I could give zero stars, I would. In addition to having to call and call to get Jimmy back after he assessed that my motor was shot on my York condenser and install a new one, just 2 years later the motor is shot again! I brought in another company and lo and behold, what do I find out? Jimmy put in a motor that runs at 1100 RPMs when the unit specifies 850. What a surprise that it was insanely noisy, my bills were crazy and the motor was shot after two years requiring me to do the exact same repair for another $900. Thanks Jimmy. How about you reimburse me for the new fan since you installed the wrong one in the first place. If you need a recommendation, call New England Air Conditioning Service in Hoboken. Old school and responsive and had me up and running in 2 days in the middle of a heat wave.

Had a gas furnace that would turn on and then turn off immediately. Had another local give an eval initially, but that guy said I had to replace the whole furnace unit. No way I would commit that quickly without a 2nd or 3rd opinion. So I called Jimmy up for a Saturday inspection to give his opinion. He was quick and tried different things to see what was wrong. Eventually he noticed that the flame sensor plug got corroded and after a minor rub down, the furnace stayed lit. No bs, just workman-like.
