I am a current home owner using Coastal Long Term Realty. They were not my first choice but they purchased my rental agreement from Diamond Realty. They did not read or get all the information about my property from the selling rental company. They are horrible communicators and are all about making an easy pay check. They placed the wrong type of tenants in my property and then failed to appropriately communicate the renter intentions to me and my intentions to the renter. As a result I lost my renters and potential buyers and the renters are having to move in less than 6 months. I live in Minnesota and asked to be there for the inspection for when the renters left. After asking twice they finally confirmed a time. I made my travel plans to South Carolina and set up appointments for my house dependent on this time they confirmed with me. They failed to verify the move out date with the tenants and as a result have pushed back the inspection for a time after I will have had to returned to Minnesota. They will not budge to accommodate an inspection for a time I’m there and they take no responsibility in their lack communication and they show complete disregard for their clients schedules. Specifically propery manager Christie Hunt. They lack any sympathy for the situations of their customers. I’m disgusted at the customer service I’ve received. They also failed to return their portion of the rental fee when they recommend I return rent even though it was their fault for not informing the tenants of issues I readily disclosed and the contract clearly states their commission is only 10% of the rental income. Do not use this rental agency to rent out your home.
