Dr. Suggs I Awesome! I went in today, worrying about getting the shot in my mouth which I have always dreaded and was thinking of canceling the procedure all together because of how painful the shots always were.There was no need to worry because it was pain free! It was unbelievable and she is amazing and Dr. Suggs has a passion for dentistry.

Excellent dental practice. From the check in to check out a great experience. Everyone is so professional and yet so warm and friendly.I had a cleaning yesterday and I have never had a more thorough cleaning. Dr. Sugg and her staff are amazing.

Went in to get a cleaning and my teeth whitened, the staff are all so nice! I’ve always wanted to get my teeth whitened but was a little nervous. Elizabeth explained everything step by step to make sure I was comfortable before and during the process. She answered every question I had and I couldn’t be happier with the result!!

Dr. Sugg and her staff are the best!! I have no hesitations going there during Covid...they have really implemented extraordinary measures to ensure patient safety. I’ve been a patient since she first opened and have referred many friends to her. My friends always thank me for sending them to this awesome practice.

Ocean Dental, this is a dental office but I’m convinced it should be labeled a “Mouth spa” .Everyone is so incredibly sweet and helpful, I could be in the worst mood before and I always leave full of joy, laughter and positive vibes for my next visit.Miss you all already, see you soon!

My wife cracked her front tooth on a Saturday evening while we were vacationing in Hilton Head. We called Ocean Dental at 8:30 the following Monday morning & they had my wife come in immediately to repair the tooth. By 11:30am, the tooth had been repaired & we were able to continue with our vacation. I would highly recommend contacting Ocean Dental for any emergency needs, or just routine care. They are fantastic.

Ocean Dental is my new dental home..Dr Elizabeth Sugg is meticulous. Her entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I feel safe as they have taken safety measures...for COViD...they even have installed surgically clean air filtration. All the air is cleaned 27 times an hour...that makes me feel safe. I am so happy I found Ocean Dental

While traveling to the island on a Friday with an excruciating toothache, I was surprised to see Ocean Dental open on a Saturday. With little hope of getting an appointment I called and they got me in immediately. First thing is first the office is beautiful and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Suggs and her staff are so welcoming and just made you feel like you have known them all your life. If it was economical for me to travel 6.5 hours to see them I would in a heartbeat. Thank you all again!!!!

Last visited 6 years ago, as I now avoid the 2 lane fun getting to the island..But I had an issue with a molar that had been with me thru a lot, 55,000 ft and 1200 mph with no computers.. So knew Dr Sugg was the only one to look at it..I thought simple-but it was infected..she took it all in stride.had to do a root canal..As I remembered, first class ability, and a lets get it done right attitude.If you want it done right, she is the one..

My experience with Dr. Sugg and her staff has been nothing short of amazing. My first phone call before I ever visited the office I spoke with Denise, and was blown away at how willing she was to help me. I explained my situation over the phone, she spoke to the doctor, provided advice, scheduled me for the soonest appointment I could make, and then called me after on more than one occasion before my first appointment to let me know someone had canceled and was wondering if I could come in sooner. She didnt have to do that at all, and could have just let me wait until my scheduled appointment. Instead, she kept me in mind and tried to get me in sooner. That is something I had never experienced in a dentists office before, especially with one that I hadnt even visited yet, so I was very impressed and appreciative.The front desk staff are all very polite and courteous. Denise and the other ladies all greet you with a smile when you come in and are very helpful when it comes to setting appointments that best fit with your schedule. I really like the fact that they text and/or call you at least 24 hours ahead of time to remind you of your appointment. When you have a busy, hectic schedule like I do, it helps to receive those friendly reminders..The waiting area is always very clean and quiet, there is a separated area for kids to play which is nice, and the entire office environment is very earthy and relaxing. They actually have some evening hours and Saturday appointments available which makes it super easy to work with if you have a day job and cant afford to take off of work.Then there is Dr. Sugg, whom within the first visit became a new favorite. She is not only amazing at what she does, but she makes the entire visit a pleasant experience. Shes thorough in her explanations of the type of work to be done, provides conscientious advice when needed, checks on her patients throughout the procedure to make sure theyre comfortable, and best of all is quick witted and quite funny! Especially when its someone like me who has never been very comfortable in a dentists chair and is inquisitive with everything, these are all very important qualities to have when choosing a dentist.All and all, Ocean Dental, Dr. Sugg, and the staff have provided me an opportunity to stop fearing a trip to the dentist and start actually looking forward to it. I 100% recommend Ocean Dental as a premier dental option in HHI, and am happy to have found a home for all my dental needs. Thanks Doc!

I recently moved here from out of state. We have excellent dental insurance through Delta Dental and our family is able to receive 3 cleanings a year, each. We’ve all had some minor dental issues such as cavities and sealants but thankfully nothing major. My point is, our family goes to the dentist quite frequently. I saw a flier for Ocean Dental and made an appointment for myself. (My daughter had already been to an awesome pediatric dentist on the island.) When I walked into the office on the day of the appointment, there was no one at the front desk for at least 5 minutes. My 5 year old was the only one sitting in the waiting area and she wasn’t making a peep. A woman stuck her head out and gave my child a look of disapproval. Fine, I know it’s not ideal to bring a child to your appt. But still, I was not even acknowledged. When the same woman came back out, she did not even greet me. She started telling me how she was having a crazy day and had so much to do. I understand that too, but have to mention these details so my review is concise. This woman is short, middle aged, brown hair with highlights and possibly Latina. Never got her name. I hand her the paperwork that they mailed me weeks ago and she asks for my insurance card. I always carry my medical insurance card but never in my whole life have I had to present a dental insurance card. Remember, we’ve already been to a dentist in this state and they never asked me for a card. I tell her I don’t have a card but have listed our insurance as well as my social and spouses ssn. She says, “we can’t look it up that way, there are thousands of delta dental plans.” I was very confused because every dentist has been able to do it in every state we have lived in. She is now being rude and condescending and says, “well, how did they do that? That was back in California.” Ok. Then I said, “can you just bill me for today and I will try to get an insurance card?” And she told me, “No, payment is due at the time of service.” Of course I’m not going to pay for a cleaning and then try to get my insurance to reimburse me. I said, “ok, then I’ll have to reschedule” and go to walk out. As I’m walking out the door, she says, “well, we can still see you...” I think I was the target of somebody having a bad day. Most people do not enjoy the dentist anyway, so why would you put a person like that at the front? Also, went to google, typed in delta dental, on their page I typed my ssn and Viola! Took about 20 seconds to do the job that she said was impossible. Smh. I’ve worked in customer service and the health care industry for 25 years. Congratulations on being top worst in this profession.

On my trip to Hilton head for my annual vacation I broke a tooth. I searched for emergency dentists on the island and found Dr. Sugg. She was highly rated and I called and left a message on a Friday evening. I called on Saturday morning and they had an opening. Her receptionist was lovely and Dr. Sugg was professional and caring and informative. She was able to seal the tooth until I could return home to my own dentist for further treatment. Thanks to Dr. Sugg I had a lovely vacation and was able to enjoy all of our activities and fabulous seafood! I would not hesitate to see her again or recommend her! Thank you so much!

Dr. Suggs practice is one of the best on the island. The waiting room is very comfortable and welcoming, with complimentary bottled water for patients. Dr. Sugg does everything a dentist should do and more, including oral cancer screening with a UV-light device. Whats more, Dr. Sugg does most--if not all--the exams herself and is very knowledgable about mouth and teeth issues, even giving advice on how to avoid or solve a problem a patient is facing. I would highly recommend Dr. Suggs practice.

Best Dentist EVER!!!! Evening hours + Saturday Appointments...now that is AMAZING. Love Dr. Sugg and her staff!
