Ive been scared for years to go to the dentist and never wanted to go. But everyone here literally the whole entire staff makes you instantly feel like you’re family and comfortable as much as possible and even the way the place is just makes you feel more at home as opposed to a dentist office. So far I’ve just gotten deep cleaning done and honestly best hygienist ever. I was terrified and she really know what she is doing because I didn’t feel a thing at all and now I am super happy because my teeth has never been this clean and I’ve had no pain even after the numbing wore off. Ive been talking about this place for days now and I definitely will be bringing my kids here as well in the future. Because of this place I’m slowly starting to feel more confident about my smile and I’m finally getting things fixed and soon I’ll actually be able to smile without being afraid.

The staff is very nice. The work efficiently and they arent too chatty which I love. All around good people. Its the least weird dentist office experience Ive ever had so I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a dentist.

I was very nervous going in, but everyone was so kind and understanding. The shot(s) barely hurt (I had a few things taken care of at the same time) if its possible to say about a dentist visit it was a pleasant visit and now Im not afraid to go back! 🦷

Friendly and helpful staff. The dental hygienist was particularly superb and conversational, ensuring a comfortable experience. More direct communication and education from the dentist on what the X-rays were showing and explanation of the treatment plan moving forward would have made this a 5-star experience.

Hands down.....the best dentist I’ve ever seen!!! I have already referred 5 people to see Dr. Grant Smith at Today’s Dental. I felt completely informed about the procedure being performed and he was very gentle and kind during the procedure. I did not even feel the novocaine injection and that was my biggest fear. I have finally found an excellent dentist and the staff were so kind also......brought me a blanket because I was cold. What service! 10 stars if I could give them. 😊

This place is not professional and need serious training for the public safety. The lady that did myx-ray didn’t even put the apron on me during x-ray, this was the biggest red flag and than she kept yelling at me to bite down when I was already biting down.

Teeth still sensitive for more than 5 weeks since procedure. Had to come in several times to fix my bite as it caused me a constant headache. Mix up with insurance. This has been a nightmare.

My first visit to this dentist and I could not be more pleased. My hygienist Nakisa was amazing. Friendly,efficient and informative. She did a fabulous job cleaning and examining my teeth. Dr. Smith had to do a root canal on a previously placed bridge. He actually took time to explain everything and put me at ease. He then took time to discuss a plan with me. I am so appreciative for the efforts made to make me comfortable and actually discuss with me options. I am just getting started, but have a good feeling about this dentist, his assistants and knowledgeable staff. Anna manages the office with skill, willingness to get the most from insurance and a terrific smile!

Dr. Smith has a reassuring presence and was very good at giving the numbing juice. Probably the least painful I’ve ever had. He was very efficient at removing my tooth. I literally said “that’s all?” because it was over so fast and I didn’t feel it come out. Really awesome guy and I’ll definitely ask for him in the future. Thank you!

Dr. Matzel was 100% the best dentist I’ve ever been to. He was very straight forward about what needed to be done but very informative. And made me feel very comfortable with the entire process.

The staff where friendly but my daughter is 2yrs old took her for her very first appointment i needed to change her diaper they have no changing table, no toilet seat covers i wish they could have a room especially for little patients it was boring and old building i might have to find a pediatric clinic instead

Called today to make an appointment due to having extreme tooth pain. The receptionist immediately cut me off after explaining Id be a new patient. Said we have no doctor in today and we are booked far out. Leaving me with no options. She Then asked what are you trying to be seen for? I said im currently 17 weeks pregnant & my tooth is cracked and Im in extreme pain. She said we have no doctor in today. I said you dont have another sister clinic or can you recommend another? She said you medical should have give you a list of clinics. I said never mind and ended call.Receptionist was extremely short, rude not helpful at all. I will gladly take my business else where. This was just trying to book an appointment let alone being there patient. No thanks.

100% amazing! I felt safe! The staff is exceptional. Dentist caring and considerate. Can’t say enough words to express the compassionate experience I had. Only wish he was there more frequently so I didn’t have to wait so long for further treatment.

Without a doubt, one of the best dental practices I’ve ever visited. From the front office staff, the assistant, and all the way to Dr. Smith... I found them all to be not only competent and professional, but also able to listen and address all my concerns in a down to earth and relaxed way. *Long winded but worth the review* My teeth are messed up from tobacco and depression (just giving up); my mouth is full of metal essentially. I take care of them now but my past shows in my smile and I have always been insecure about the judgment Ive received from past dentists. I usually shake and shiver when I lye there from the amount of anxiety I have. The dental hygienist didnt make me feel less than, she told me what I could do better and what I was doing a good job on which is more than I can say for other places Ive been to. The dentist (Mr. Matzelle) had such a calming gentle spirit it alleviated any anxiety I was feeling about going in. He confidently reassured me that he could fix my tooth very easily and get me in before the birth of my baby (Im 7 months along to mothers reading this). I was also 7 minutes late going in and the receptionist wasnt rude about it and I didnt get penalized for it which I was very grateful. I am actually excited for my next appointment which I have never said about a dental appt. before! Thank you Dr. Matzelle!!

Having a complete lower denture made by Dr Smith. So far, no complaints! My only complaint is with Medicare. We need Medicare-For-All! Insurance companies, including Medicare as it’s currently structured, sucks.

Very quick, clean and friendly! I typically get bad anxiety over my teeth/dentist appointments, but once I sat in the chair and talked to the dentist and the assistants too, they eased my anxiety and worries.

They corrected a sensitivity problem I was having with one tooth at my first visit. Professional and efficient. Took the time to explain and listen.

The front desk staff were friendly and kind, both over the phone and in person. The dentist I saw was very nice, gentle and no matter how poor my teeth are, didnt disparage them or make me feel bad about them. I am very glad I called this place to get my dental work done and am hopeful about my teeth for the first time in a long time; years even!I have an update: I dont have a long history with this dental office, but I am both impressed and grateful to them. I received antibiotics for an infection and a root canal was scheduled. By the day of the root canal, my body was just at war, DONE with these antibiotics, severe side effects. I was concerned about having to reschedule my appointment and worried for my health. But they were very kind and caring, rescheduled no problem and took the time to ask the doctor my questions about my health and the medication.Prior to this, I saw the hygienist for cleaning and she was very understanding about my teeth being sensitive, very gentle and patient with me, and did a wonderful job on my teeth.Both dentists I have seen have been forthright but caring and careful about my sensitivities in my teeth. Overall, very, very happy with this entire office! 😊

Consistently messed up on my daughters teeth and she is 10 and consistently messed up on my husbands my teeth. Their root canals only go 20% not the full recommended root canal which therefore when they seal it up it becomes a Volcano outside of the tooth in the gum area. Beware!! They only want to take your money 💰

I havent been to a dentist in about 10 years. They made my experience really easy, completely calmed me down, answered my questions and took excellent care of me. My technician was amazing. Thanks for all you do!

Needed a six unit bridge. Had to ask for them to actually put my partial denture in water during the procedure...ask them to double check the color match of the bridge...and then they didn’t fit my partial denture in correctly after the temporary crowns were in place. I didn’t bother complaining because the technician told me it “would just be for two weeks”...like that makes it fit better? But what could I do, as I was so numb I couldn’t feel how good or bad it fit, I could just see that it wasn’t fit correctly.Also, they didn’t do anything to help with the smoke and smell of grinding down my teeth. What a horrible sight and smell. As if losing six teeth isn’t bad enough. Although I was assured that I would love my new teeth once the bridge is completed.Cost me over $5,000 out of pocket. Still have to go back to get the bridge installed. Have mixed feelings about going back.

This is the only Dental office that has been able to offer me the care I needed for some serious dental issues I started off with and now Im back on track for the next 20 years. As long as I stay up on my cleanings of course. Ive been seeing them for about 3 years now and even fought with my insurance carrier to switch me back to a plan they would accept when Oregon Health Plan changed my plan without letting me know.I have had many extractions and fillings as well as a deep cleaning that has pretty much saved my gum line and bone in the jaw holding the teeth in place. I would recommend this office to anyone that has been afraid to see a dentist like I was.I went over 10 years without a single cleaning due to extreme pain during my last few cleanings from other offices. I also have some bone loss but now its stable and Im doing great!Dont let a few bad reviews steer you to another office because we are not all the same and not all experiences will perfect anywhere. You have to focus on the results and I can say for a FACT my results are steller!

Staff was extremely rude and disrespectful

If there was an option for no stars at all then that would be my choice. From day one i was treated differently because of the way i looked. I also wasnt aware that the helper or assistane can do my fillings for me?!... The one i felt judge by the most. I cannot believe how many times i complained about the work i always got done it was terrible and even worse when id go to get it fixed because im not taking more time off of work so he can charge my insurance foe a numbing shot i didnt even need and the hed grind on my tooth a little and say hows that better cool and be gone! That happened anout 4 times! The 5th the i sat the after taking more time off work... An after wait back in the room for over a half hour they tell me i cant be seen today there is an emergency happenings. Ok i understand that so i was gone. 2000 out of pocket emergency 4 root canals needed to be done and luckily my insurance covered the back two. So i decided to stick with TODAYS DENTAL(TERRIBLE CHOICE!) To do the jobs. T turns out i am losing the front two teeth yoy can see when I smile.. And they had to eventually pull out the mollers behind. Im devisated... Just devistated. They pulled out a little phone as well that now makes a passage from my nose to my mouth. It is discusting sometimes and hurts sometimes and its been about a year... They have really added to the no tolerance of dentist for me... Honestly. And now i hace to have surgery in my FACE?! Yaaa... Thank you todays friggin dental and dr smith i believe and his assitant for all your kind efforts.

I was in dire need of an emergency filling and these kind folks were the only office I could find that was open on a Friday. I would absolutely return for future treatment should I need it. Thank you!

A few years ago, I went in for root canals and fillings. I informed the dentist at the time that I was intolerant of epinephrine because of my anxiety disorder and he stated that he understood and would use the epinephrine-free lidocaine. He did not. I had several panic attacks during the procedure and every visit I had there. I thought it was because of my fear of dentists, but now I know better. Also, during the root canal and fillings, he fused two of my molars together. I informed him at a subsequent visit that I could not fit anything between the teeth and that I think he fused them together, which he denied repeatedly even after inspecting them. This ultimately lead to me losing those two teeth two years later, as well as gave me an even bigger fear of dentists than I had in the first place. I have spent the last few years mostly eating soft foods simply because I cant chew thanks to what he did. I have since had confirmation from another dentist via visual examination AND x-ray proof that the teeth were indeed very noticeably fused together and that this lead to the loss of my tooth after the Todays Dental visit. Due to my dealings with this dentist, I have opted to let my teeth rot from my mouth rather than to ever have another dentist touch my face.

First time here, came in for a broken tooth. Office staff was very rude to begin with. Then after waiting 45 MINUTES, I asked what was taking so long. Was rudely told theyre busy cleaning the room. When I asked why thats taking so long, I was told they had another patient before me that needed more attention, and that I needed to wait. When I asked how much longer it would be before I could be seen, the lady at the desk laughed, rolled her eyes, and told me Ill be called back soon enough. RUDE STAFF. I dont have all day to wait around while they twirl their thumbs, then get to me when they feel like it. I also dont appreciate that I was treated like an inconvenience. Absolutely do not recommend.

Usually when I have called to ask questions at Todays Dental they have not been as forthcoming as the person was today. I spoke with a very nice and helpful lady by the name of Brenda who did finally answer all the questions I had about coming in for all my teeth to be extracted and ultimately getting dentures. I have so many questions and concerns about the entire process and I have been left feeling as though the staff either didnt know the answers or was being evasive with me. It has been making me feel so uncomfortable and in the process of this my teeth are getting much worse and my insurance approval is going to expire soon for the 2nd time.I just really want to thank Brenda for opening up and answering my questions. I feel so much better now that she did. I dont know what is going on in this office but they have a really nice Dentist. Dr.Matcelle and Brenda seemed fairly knowledgeable once she opened up to me. I think they need a good office manager to come in and set up some rules and give all the staff some basic knowledge of what they are doing so they can appropriately answer patient questions. I was there one day and the Dentist had left, I think he took his son to lunch because it was bring your child to work day. Anyway, the tech who was finishing up with me couldnt answer my questions, nor could another lady she called in and it ended up being a debate sort of with them and the receptionist. They kept telling me the dentures that were sitting in the room were just like the ones I would be getting and I wasnt at all happy with that. They looked like a childs toy. The teeth were very small and not at all white. They looked extremely fake.Nobody, to this day has been able to clarify to me the type of dentures that I will be getting or what they will look like. If they will look good, real or what and Im scared to be honest.

I cannot thank Todays Dental enough for the amazing customer service and work they provided to me! I am a military veteran, so I get my medical and dental needs taken care of at the VA hospital. So when I was eating breakfast and noticed that I had at some point swallowed my filling and was missing half of my molar and had a throbbing pain in my mouth, I headed straight to the VA hospital to get help with what felt like a dental emergency. When I got there the dentist took a look and told me that he wasnt going to fix it and that I had to make an appointment for next week. This was on a Thursday morning, and that meant that I was expected to go the rest of the week and the weekend with a hole in my tooth. Now Im not a dentist, but Im sure that if stuff gets in the hole that there is potential for all kids of problems. I opted not wait until the next week and called many local dentists to try and be seen, most of them were not able to help due to the fact that I wasnt already a patient or that they were completely booked. But then I got in touch with Todays Dental, they told me that they would see me and take care of the problem that day. The dentist did a great job, and the staff were all very nice and professional. I had a great experience at Todays Dental, and will not be going back to the VA hospital for dental work, but rather giving my business to Todays Dental.

The first time I went in, I sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes, watching them take several people first who had checked after me. When I asked why I was still waiting and everyone else was being seen first, they told me they had to reschedule my appointment. I had been sitting there for 45 minutes already and missed work.I rescheduled for a couple months later. I was the first appointment of the day. Again, I watched them take 5 other people ahead of me. After 30 minutes, I asked the front desk how much longer it would be. She told me they had to reschedule my appointment. Again, more time missed from work, sitting in their lobby for nothing.The staff is incredibly rude, unprofessional, and clearly has no respect for other peoples time. I will never again go to this dentist nor would I recommend it to anyone.
